In this picture we’re doing a lunge with a forward lean in XTrain Legs. In a regular lunge our torso’s would be vertical and the emphasis on the lunge would be on our legs. But with a forward lean the emphasis on the lunge goes to our glutes. A forward leaning lunge also takes a lot of stress off the knee joint. Many people who can not do a regular lunge because of knee issues can do a lunge with a forward lean.
