My success story starts three years ago.
I had been suffering for several years with female issues. I was finally diagnosed with a large fibroid tumor and decided to have a hysterectomy.
As my issues had worsened over the years prior, I had been afraid to exercise, fearing it would make the problems worse. Also, I had a very sedentary job, so I was growing flabbier all the time.
Even before my surgery, I decided that, after I recovered, I was going to create a “new me”! I was going to be active again and be in the best shape I could be! I was going to be healthier and in better shape at 40 than I was at 35; that was the goal.
I discovered the hard way that I wasn’t successful on my own – my exercise schedule was nonexistent; I didn’t know what exercise to choose, etc. So, I began searching online for a fitness program that would fit my busy schedule. I found one that an individual had constructed for herself after she’d had a child – it included cardio, weights and step aerobics.
I had never tried aerobics of any kind, let alone step aerobics, but I was determined to do this! I went to the sporting goods store and purchased a step with an instructional DVD… It was Cathe’s basic step and body fusion.
I was so out of shape, that it took me two weeks to finally make it all the way through the basic step routine! But I was hooked!!!! I loved it, and I loved the way Cathe instructed.
I haven’t been the same since!
I love the challenges Cathe gives you; she pushes you to what you think is your limit and then tells you to do just four more. And you do it!
I mastered the three step routines on the DVD and I wanted more! So I bought Cathe’s Butts & Guts DVD last year. Wow, is that great! I’m still working my way up to the full workout on that one! I also recently purchased Muscle Max, because I feel I’m ready to start building muscle now as well as toning.
I’m feeling better physically and mentally, and I’m more confident that I can tackle new physical challenges!
