The Difference Between Our Facebook “Share” and “Like” Button?

istock_000017254373xsmallIn our Blog and in our fit tips, recipes and featured news articles you will see in the upper left hand corner facebook “Like” and “Share” buttons – so what’s the difference?

The purpose of our facebook Share button is to allow you to share our content with your friends in your Facebook page. The shared fitness tip, recipe or featured Cathe Dot Com article will be more visual than just cliking our “Like” button since Facebook will decipher the link, grab the image from the article or recipe and show a short snippet of the post on your page. So, if you would like one of our articles to be featured along with a picture on your facebook page you should select and click on our “Share” button.

When you “like” one of our articles or recipes, it will show just a single line entry in your facebook wall, under your Recent Activity section. Unlike what happens when you click our Share Button, no image will be shown on your facebooki page. Thus if you want our article or recipe to be more visible on your facebook page you should always click on the Share button.

You can also share our content from our website by selecting either our Twitter button or by clicking on our “Email a Friend” button.
