People usually guess my age at anywhere from 10 to 25 years younger than what I really am. While I’ll never admit to how old I really am — even if you guessed correctly, I would most definitely lie — I will say that I’m over 55 and exercise to Cathe daily. I think her workouts help me to stay younger looking.
When I began working out with Cathe, I didn’t really want to build muscle, I just wanted to keep what muscle I had. Since we lose muscle as we grow older and gain fat, it was important to me to try to maintain my shape, endurance and my low fat ratio .
I love Cathe’s workouts not only because they’re fun and often she makes me smile, but because I love them so much, that exercising doesn’t seem as strenuous as it really is. The new Hiit workouts are wonderful for me because I’m always looking for anaerobic workouts, since these kinds of workouts tend to stimulate that hormone in the body that keeps us looking young. This has been important to me, too. And I love the new step and cardio core workouts. Core is one part of my workouts that I could definitely do more often.
What I didn’t count on with Cathe workouts was how my body began to shape up with the strength videos. No more wiggly arms and fatty deposits in places where I didn’t want them.
Just a few days ago, I received a wolf whistle while walking down the street. Did I turn to the young man and say “I’m old enough to be your mother?” Not on your life! I just smiled and walked on.
Thanks Cathe for all the careful thought you put into your workouts. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that I appreciate your dediction and hard work.
