2 garlic cloves, mashed and then minced
2 15 oz cans of Garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
2/3 cup Tanini Paste
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup Lemon Juice
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1. In a blender, combine the garlic, garbanzo beans, Tahini Paste, lemon juice, 1/2 cup water, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Blend until smooth. Add the salt.
Hummus makes a great healthy snack option. Serve with whole grain crackers, pita bread, celery sticks, or baby carrots. Also good a Hors d’oeuvre when entertaining guests.
Store in airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. Chances are it will be long gone before then!
