I Built A Better Body Through Cathe! by blacKandi

Back on July 12, 2008 I decided that I wanted to lose 50lbs so I started dieting after 12 years of being overweight. By October 2008 I had lost a total of 31lbs and started getting worried because the skin on my body had started to droop. I wasn’t happy with how I looked naked so I started looking into my options with fitness. I remember someone had told me that exercise helps to firm the body so I began to workout. I was doing really well for a couple of months doing other workouts and was becoming fit which was awesome, but I was losing fat very slow. I remember coming across a profile with a lovely lady in it who stated that “Cathe kicked her butt” and that lady’s after picture showed her awesome six pack. I wanted that! So, I decided to find out who Cathe was and I’ve been hooked every since.

The first series I bought was Cathe’s Hardcore Series and then I started buying some of her other workouts here and there. Cathe’s workouts make up about 85% of my total exercise program now and it’s because I know that when I do a Cathe workout that I’m getting a good workout. I was able to drop a lot of fat, build muscle and increase strength in a short amount of time. Cathe’s boot camp, circuit and interval workout are my go to workouts when I really need a butt kickin’ because they are very challenging and tough. If you don’t have a single Cathe DVD in your video collection then I’m not sure what you’re doing in your home gym, seriously.

Later on I had invested in STS and just doing that 3.5 month rotation, the first time around, helped me to earn a major


amount of muscle definition and strength gains – I finally was able to visually see cuts in my arms! Mesocycle 2 is what helped me to build bigger muscles and that’s the mesocycle I look to when my schedule calls for bulking. A month of just that puts on a lot of muscle for me which is AMAZING. Since I started my weight loss journey I have lost and kept off 60lbs through good dieting and doing challenging workouts.

In closing, I just want to thank you, Cathe, for making the best and some of the hardest darn advanced workouts in the industry. I am not a gym rat and my passion is working out at home because that is where I can really go all out with my workouts. The home exerciser in me adores you and all of what you do. I am at a point in my “fitness life” where I can keep up with you and your crew. I can now lift heavy amounts of weight, do push ups and pull ups (oh my), move quickly, tuck jump, air jack, burn out on low ends, do a million power 7’s and I can step plus have fun doing it! I feel liberated, strong and motivated to keep doing better. I’ve never been able to do activities in the past and enjoy them. I feel like a tough chick after I complete your workouts. I want to also thank you for Butts & Guts, IMAX3, Low Max, STS, Cardio Fusion and Intensity especially – these are my absolute favorites and I do these workouts A LOT! Keep bringing them on!!!!!

Congrats to you… I am a member of SP too… Terri announced on the Cathe team that you were featured in the newsletter, so you know I had to check it out!… Way to go!!!!!… very inspiring… I will be starting Meso 3 next week, then I am going to do the rotation all over again…I haven’t seen as much progress from Meso 2 as you did, but I am hoping that the 2nd round will bring better results as I now have a better understanding of the program and I am cleaning up my diet as well… Thanks for sharing your story… see you on Spark… ~ Dee

  10. I am inspired by Black Women who work out instead of being subjected to stereotypes about us. You look fabulous and you have inspired me on my journey. Keep up the good work…I am trying to master those air tucks and tuck jumps as well.
