What if I told you that you could get into fantastic cardio shape by doing as little as 4 minutes of exercise? Sound like a pipe dream? Not with Tabata training. Tabata training is a short but very intense type of workout routine that will improve your aerobic capacity and best of all, you’ll continue to burn fat long after you have finished your workout.
I have designed Tabatacise to have five different exercise levels so that you can do as little as one Tabata or as many as five Tabata’s in the same workout. With each new level you attempt you’ll add one new additional Tabata to your routine…. working up to a total of 5 Tabata’s.
Since your maximum heart rate will often exceed 90% I have included an active recovery with a step after each Tabata to help bring your heart rate down in a more controlled manner. But beware, there is just a teeny tiny blast hidden in those recovery periods. You didn’t think I’d let you off that easy did you?
Anyway, I suggest starting with Level one which only has one Tabata and a recovery blast. Then over time slowly progress to the next level as your fitness ability allows you too. Don’t be surprised or disappointed if you never make it past level two or three as Tabata’s are the toughest workouts you will ever do. It’s super intense and it is important that you listen to your body at all times and stop at any time you feel light headed or too winded to continue.
