    Question for Parents of teenagers.

As long as there's proper adult supervision, I wouldn't have a problem with a mixed gender party for a 13 year old. My oldest is 16 and while there is some cause for concern, the media tends to blow things way out of proportion.

Do You Ever Feel "Chilled" During Long Cardio Workouts?

RE: Do You Ever Feel IMO, it's the evaporative effect of sweating. Your body is doing its job and doing it well. I get "cold" when I do any kind of circuit (LIC and C&W come to mind right away) because my wet clothes feel cold toward the end of the workout. I bet if you put on a dry shirt...

    Just for fun: Unusual Hobbies/Interests???

Herpetology is not my cuppa, but your collection is most cool! I'm pretty boring. I'd have to say fitness is my hobby. Oh, wait (on edit) - I enjoy cemeteries. Yes, I enjoy them.

Inline skaters - got a dumb question

The only trick I know is the one I learned from skiing, and that is to somehow create a "V" with your heels together. Edited to add: I hope you wear a helmet. Sorry to be a mother hen, but it's very easy to fall backwards and hit your head on the pavement. Good luck! :-)

Is PUB considered an endurance workout?

IMO, PUB is a combination of both endurance (during the low weight, high rep parts) and strength (high weight, low rep). I noticed strength gains in my chest and biceps (my "needs work" areas). I found the bicep work exceptionally tough, but well worth it.

    Wheel step, looks cool!

Wow, how cool. I browsed Seasun's other videos and saw one where she's doing double step outside on her deck with her son and dog out there, too. She was just noodling around. That looks like fun, actually.

    Alexia Sweet Potato Fries

I live in the Detroit area and found Alexia SP Fries at Hiller's. I'm sure other grocers carry them as well. Making them from scratch is easy peasy, too. :-)

High Step Challenge vs Circut: Which is better?

You mean, High Step Challenge vs. High Step Circuit? I'm a little dense tonight. LOL If that's what you mean, HSChallenge is a fairly big step up in intensity from HSCircuit. Circuit is slower paced and the various intervals are shorter. In other words, it's easier. Challenge is much...

BUTTS AND GUTS VS GYM STYLE LEGS

Gym Style Legs really hits the entire leg, from the glute on down to the calf, and even the anterior tibialis (front of lower leg). It's very comprehensive, and for me, well worth the purchase. I've done the leg blast premix of B & G and find it gets right in the butt, quad and some inner...

    step complication

I always preview. Always. Cathe tends to "take it from the top" quite a bit, so the routines are easy to learn upon previewing. Besides, previewing acquaints you with moves that face away from the TV. One thing I like about Cathe is she uses the whole step.

Favorite Side Kick In Cathe's Workouts?

I disagree about Jai. She is thin, but also very fit. No anorexic can have guns like hers.

    I hate pulses!!! OUCH!!!

Yep, they hurt, but the results are worth it. :-)

    Chronic Unhappiness/Discontent?

Your post just screamed "depression" at every turn. Also, it seems your life is driven by what you "should" do versus what you really want to do. I really hope you at least find a therapist, or someone to talk to about this. A life coach-type person might be helpful, too. Good luck!

    Annual Flowers

I use a soil-less "container mix," specifically made for containers. Fafard makes it. If it's not available in your area, try adding some silica to your soil - don't use too much or it will boil over when you water. LOL Unfortunately, anything planted in pots must be watered every day...

Favorite Side Kick In Cathe's Workouts?

I like them all, for different reasons. First of all, I have no clue who Hope is, and I have Cathe's older vids. There is a Geena Davis look alike and one other dark haired woman - which one is Hope? Cedie is like an old friend. I like that she has a different build from the rest of the...

    The Flu

The flu typically lasts 7-10 days. I had it several years ago and I was glued to the couch for days. On Day 3, I had a slight respite and felt well enough to do some laundry and light cleaning. It landed me back on the couch, feeling worse than ever. Do yourself a favor and take it really...

    starting over

If you go to the rotations forum, there are beginner and intermediate rotations, depending on your overall fitness level. If you're new to lifting, I would recommend doing the upper and lower body bonus add-ons to Basic Step/Body Fusion. Once those become easy, you can move on to any of...

    KPC...not that hard?

    >The only thing I can say is you get out of it what you put >into it. Try putting more intensity behind your moves and it >should be more challenging. ITA with this.

    Butts & Guts calorie burn?

I don't know about the workout in its entirety, but the Leg Blast premix from B & G made me sweat like no cardio ever could.

    Cathe - question from a five-year old

LOLOL!! So cute! I hope Cathe sees this. I'm sure she'll get a kick out of our kids. :-) My son (now 4) calls Cathe "Caffee." He says "She's stwong. She has biiig muscles!" LOL
