Lurkers Invitation 2010

Did 30/30 and walked Rolly for 45 min. Burned 483 calories. Tomorrow is STS disc 1.

Kelly, Great job on your walk/run.

Cheryl, Our daughter is such a trooper. Was very happy to see all her friends and family around her to celebrate her 40th. I bought these workouts a long time ago. I love MM and Ilaria does them well. Besides, her body is what I want to look like. It aint happening, but I can always dream. Here is a link to Forza, it might explain a little how it's done.
Videos for forza workout

Great job on LM. Selling on Craig's list sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to clean out your closet.;)

I also love the low temps. Just not that low in the Summer. I do want to experience the Summer season this year. I even like rain, we have two seperate seasons of that, Spring and Fall. Every now and then, it gets to be too much when it doesn't stop raining for literally months. LOL

Pam
, Joey and I will start the weight training from STS tomorrow. I did 30/30 today and started STS already. Just with cardio though. Will do a variety of cardio, but mainly the STS cardio. Check out the Forza link, it's really cool. Hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Janie

Cheryl Too bad you don't get Netflix, it's great! You can watch almost whatever you want to watch whenever you want to watch it. Our toughest conference calls are when we are trying to get both folks on the west coast and folks in India or China on the same call. Quite a challenge.
Are you able to carry vacation time over from one year to the next? We used to be able to either do that or sell some back, but now it's use it or lose it. A lot of people used to really pile it up and they decided that was too big of a financial risk to be carrying so they stopped that policy. Now we end up with a bunch of people taking a lot of the month of December off.
What kind of clothes were you selling? That sounds like a fun side job.

Janie 30/30 and a 45 minute walk sounds like a great workout. Seems like I remember the first STS disc (or at least the first meso) having an awful lot of push ups. EWWWWWW....I hated that part! Good luck with that! I will have to look at that Forza link, it sounds interesting. I'm not sure it sounds like my thing though if it is kickboxing related.
It sounds like you daughter had a nice birthday celebration. That is fantastic.
I forgot to start my starter this weekend  I was so mad! I need to get to it soon.

Eunice I'm thinking about you today on your big move day. I hope that everything goes very smoothly and that you get settled in your new place quickly. I can't wait to hear all about it!

Shani Is this week your big trip too? I'm looking forward to hearing about it.

I couldn't find another rotation that I felt like doing (ok, I didn't look really hard), so I just kept on with the Insanity. This morning was cardio power and resistance (I think that's what it is called). It seemed to be a little easier this time, but still kicked my butt. I think I'll try to do Core Max 3 tonight. Have a great Monday everyone!

OK, I just had to do a quick report to let you know that I pre-ordered all 4 of the dvds. I broke down! Now they need to get here and we need a rotation with them.

Pam

Janie Those Forza workouts look like fun. However the ceiling in my workout room is low so I know I wouldn't be able to do it at home. 30/30 and a 45 minute walk is a good workout. I was thinking of starting STS again but I think I will wait and see what Cathe has for the September rotation.
I know what you mean about when it doesn't stop raining for months on end. That does get a bit depressing too.

Pam Now that would be a challenging conference call to coordinate. India and China would also be a day ahead of everyone. We can carry over 262 hours of vacation time. If you are over that and don't use it by the end of fiscal you would be paid out to bring you back to to 262 hours. I can see it being a financal risk but it is nice to be able to carry something over especially if you have a major vacation planned.
The clothes were like a wash and wear. They travelled well and you could get a lot in a suitcase because they were easy to roll up and not wrinkle. The company went out of business several years ago. It has just taken me a while to get off my butt and get rid of my inventory.
Yeah.....you broke down and ordered. I know that Cathe will do a rotation with them but it may not be until December.

This morning was 4DS Higher Intensity Step with chest and back work. That one had the sweat pouring off of me.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Cheryl

Today was STS disk 1, chest, shoulders, and biceps. 50 min. also abs and speed walked Rolly for 30 min. Total calories burned were 553.
Pam, Glad to hear you breaking down on the premixes. They ought to be really good.
OMG! There are an awful lot of pushups! I do remember them. Whew. Forza is not kickboxing but her PowerStrike is.
Forza is using a bokken. A wooden or plastic sword. It' a lot of fun.
The starter can be started when you are ready, it's not going anywhere.:)

Cheryl, Great job on the 4DS HIS w/ chest and back. I can see pouring sweat. LOL

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Cheryl That is nice to be able to carry over that much vacation time! I think it would be easy to build up, especially when you get 6 weeks a year! I like the idea of saving up as much as you can and then using it to retire a little earlier than planned.
It sounds like you had a great workout yesterday. I really like the 4DS workouts.

Janie You have had some major calorie burning days lately! Good job! I will have to check out the Forza, sounds like it could be fun.

This morning was insanity plyometric cardio circuit. Once again I had to take about 3 rests. I wonder if I'll ever get through one of these workouts without taking any rests?! I'm thinking I'm only going to last a few more days on Insanity because it is getting too repetitive for me. I guess I need to spend some more time looking at the rotaitons to figure out what to do next. I almost grabbed a Cathe workout this morning since they are so much more fun. Have a great day everyone!

Pam

Joey and I had dental appts. today. We live out in the boonies so it took us all day to get there and back. No time for anything else today. I'll have to make up for cardio somehow. Tomorrow is disk 2.

Pam, Great job doing PCC. I'm one that likes to add other workouts with Insanity. Nothing wrong with that. Gives you lots of variety and that's what you want. No one says you have to continue with Insanity, but perhaps inject it in here and there for more intensity. Grab Cathe if you want, and anytime, you can't go wrong with her, ever.

Janie

Janie Wow, you must be in the boonies! All day to go to the dentist and back. That's not even something fun  I hope you got to go out for a nice lunch or something at least.

You are right that insanity workouts will be perfect to add in with other workouts. I think that is definitely the way to use them. I still haven't decided if I'm going to finish out the week with insanity or switch to something else. I guess I'll just see how I'm feeling.

This morning I did Pure Cardio. I thought I was going to make it through the whole thing without having to take a break, but not quite! I made it through 14 of 15 minutes, but I just couldn't do that last minute without a break  Darn! I'll probably do some abs after work (if I remember!) Have a great day everyone!

Pam

Never got a chance to get on the computer yesterday. It has got hot here again but it is suppose to cool down again tomorrow and for the next few days. Yesterday I did Hiit 30/30 and the yoga based abs. This morning it was 4DS Lower Intensity Step with shoulders and calf work.

Janie Yuck dentist appointments. You sure must be away from it all if it takes you all day for it. That reminds me that I need to make one too. Good job on disk 1. There are a lot of push ups aren't there. I really struggle with them.

Pam It is nice to be able to carry over some time. You never know when you may need it. I like the retiring earlier with vacation time too. We will see how much I have when the time comes. Normally I only carry forward a couple of weeks but for some reason I seem to have a lot left. I haven't done the 4DS for a long time. I forgot how much I liked them.
Cathe should have her September rotation posted this weekend so that may help you with what to do next. Insanity doesn't sound like my kind of workout. I hate things that are too repetitive, I get bored too easily.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

STS Disc 2, Back and Triceps: was Hard! I did what I could. Whew! Also did 40/20 and Walked Rolly at 3.5 mph for 30 min. Burned 725! WOW! Well, I had to make up for yesterday. Tomorrow will be less workouts.

Pam, We really are so far from everything. We went to Costco is all then back home. Great job on Pure Cardio. So close, darn. Hey, you did fantastic!

Cheryl, Great job on the 30/30 and abs. Oh also the Intensity Step w/shoulders and calf work. Wow.

I struggle with everything, but I guess that's good, right?

Have a good evening everyone,

Janie

Cheryl I find those yoga based abs really tough. Isn't that the one with all of the levitation holds? It looks like you've been really consistent with your workouts since your weather has cooled down some. That calf work always kills me. Makes it hard to walk the next day!
That was exactly what I was thinking about the September rotation being out soon. I can always go back and look at some of the previous rotations too as I'm sure I'll find one that looks good Any time I see running in the rotations my eyes start to glaze over though!
The nice thing about Insanity is that the workouts are quick and intense. Definitely too reptitive to do by themselves though. I like Janie's idea of mixing them in with STS.

Janie WOW! What a day you had yesterday 40/20 and an STS disc! 725 calories burned is awesome!! Great job!
I have never been to a costco. I hear they are a little nicer than BJs and Sams. BJs is the closest to me so that is where I usually go but will have to check out Costco sometime.

Eunice I imagine you are in Australia now - hope the move went well and hope to hear from you soon!

This morning was supposed to be insanity cardio recovery following the insanity schedule, but I decided to do Cathe Step Works. It's a fun one, but an hour felt long after doing the insanity workouts! I meant to do abs last night after work but I forgot, so maybe I'll remember tonight. Have a great day!

Pam

Janie Wow both STS Disk 2 and 40/20 and then walked Rolly. That was a hard workout. Do something a bit easier tomorrow. Don't you love Costco. They have so much stuff there. We need to get back there and stock up.

Pam Yep the Yoga based abs have the levitation holds. I couldn't do them but I tried. I have been feeling really good since it cooled down but yesterday was really hot again and it did me in. I hate it that I can't handle the heat at all. I had a hard time sleeping too. Today was cooler but still a bit muggy. I tried to workout but I was just feeling drained so I just got through the warm up of Step Works......weird we were going to do the same workout this morning. So I ended up just doing some pliates.
I don't do the running if it is in the rotation. I will just substitute something else. I used to run until my back really started bothering me. I did 10ks, half marathons and trail running. I really enjoyed it and I was really slim then....ah memories.....
You should check out Costco. I have no idea what BJs and Sams are like so I couldn't tell you which one is better.

Have a great Friday everyone.

Cheryl

We have Chasie (5 year old grandson) with us tonight. I put him to bed and he came out while I was doing MMA Boxing. Needless to say, I didn't finish it. Poor little guy, he missed his MaMa tonight, so I loved him and played on the computer until he was tired enough to go to sleep. That means double workouts for me tomorrow, Disc 3 and MMA Boxing, or I can do MMA Boxing on Sat. Then Saturday noonish, Monique (another daughter) will visit and walk her dog along with Rolly and me. Should be fun.

Pam, Great job on Step Works. That one is long.:)

Cheryl, As life has it, I'll have to do a double workout tomorrow, or something on Sat along with walking Rolly. We'll see. I do love Costco, many things there I stock up on.LOL:D

Janie

Cheryl That is funny that we were doing the same workout. I was planning on doing something else, but was flipping through the discs and saw that one and decided to do it. Sorry you were having trouble with the heat again. Hopefully you are near the end of the hot days for this year though. Wow, you were quite the runner! I always wish that I liked running because it is so efficient, but I just find it very boring. Oh well.
We do have a couple of Costcos in the area so I will have to check them out sometime. I have heard that they are a little more upscale than Sams and Bjs, but generally the same idea.

Janie Aww, poor grandson missing his mom! I thought maybe you were going to say that he came out and did MMA Boxing with you! STS disc 3, is that legs? I always have MAJOR DOMs after those meso 1 leg wos. That will be nice getting together with your daughter and her dog. I'm sure the dogs will love it. Is Chasie still with you, or did he just spend the one night?

I heard from Eunice and Shani on Facebook. Eunice leaves tomorrow to fly to Melbourne and then will be able to start getting settled. Hopefully we will hear from her here soon. Shani sounds like she is having a great trip in Chile.

This morning I did Hardcore Extreme Interval circuit. One of my favorites. It used to be one I always reached for to get my butt kicked, but it didn't seem too bad today. Not sure if that is because of all the Insanity and Hiits or if it was just a good day. I always laugh when I pull this one out though because my nephew was here when it came in the mail. He pulled it out of the plain brown envelope and saw the name Hardcore extreme and got all embarassed because he thought it was a porn video! Not quite!
I'm taking today off work just because I have all these vacation days to use. Both of my cars are due to be inspected so I'm going to get that taken care of along with running some errands, then my DH is going to take the afternoon off so we can go ski. Tonight we are going to a little Mexican restaraunt for dinner with 2 other couples, so should be a good day! I hope everyone has a good Friday!

Pam

Janie Poor little guy missing his mom. I thought you were going to say that he joined you with the boxing too. That really would have tuckered him out. You are going to be sore tomorrow with Disk 3 Legs!!! and MMA Boxing. I am like Pam I have major DOMS after the leg work. Nice that your daughter is coming over with her dog. I am sure both you and Rolly will enjoy the walk. I find when I go to Costco I really need to make sure I have a budget or else I will just spend, spend, spend....

Pam It has cooled down again. It is fustrating that the heat affects me so much now. I have no idea what I will be like 10 years from now....
I really enjoyed running. I usually ran with running clubs so there were a lot of people to chat with, that way I didn't get bored. That is too funny about your nephew thinking that Hardcore Extreme was a porno. I guess if you didn't know it would be a fair mistake to make. I haven't done that one in a long time. Maybe I should dust that one off. Enjoy your three day weekend and dinner at the Mexican restarant.

Enice posted her status on Facebook and she is now in Australia. She is really missing her workouts.

This morning I did 4DS Bootcamp with biceps and triceps. That is a tough one for me.

Have a great Saturday.

Cheryl

Did disc 3, legs. Oh boy, these are so so hard on me. Also walked Rolly for 30 min. slowly. It was hard to keep up, but did what I could. Not sure this time how many calories I burned. Tomorrow will have to do MMA Boxing, before Monique comes here.

Pam, Yes, disc 3 is legs. I'm getting DOM's already. LOL:D Chasie only spent last night with us. They've gone home, darn. Now, I'll be ready for Monique tomorrow. This is fun!

Great Job on HEIC. Wow, I'm impressed. That is a challenging workout.

LOL about the porn mistake. That's so funny. It reminds me of when I bought a second hand "Rock Hard Buns" exercise tape (didn't review it yet). Without my knowing it, one of my daughters borrowed it when she had a lot of guests over so that they could do that exercise. It was a couple that recorded themselves making love! I'm sure they hid the tape inside the least likely cover. LOL She was embarrassed and so were her friends. But, all knew me well, and figured I didn't view the tape yet. The story still comes up every now and then. It's was so funny!

Sounds like you had a very productive day today. I love those kinds of days. You must have a nice satisfactory feeling getting all those errands done.

Janie

Cheryl Glad to hear that it has cooled down for you again. I know what you mean about it being frustrating how things change as we get older. It is very annoying. The thing that really annoys me is that I just can't stay awake very late. I t just drives me crazy! You are so right about how easy it is to get carried away at those warehouse stores, it doesn't take long either!
That 4DS bootcamp is really tought! It definitely is a good one!

Janie Oh boy, how are your legs and glutes feeling today? Are you having trouble sitting down?! :p I always do after those discs. Oh my goodness on your Rock Hard Buns tape! That musts have been quite a socke for your daughter and her friends!

Yesterday was a great day I got both my cars inspected in the morning, did my grocery shopping and got most of the laundry done. Then DH and I went to the lake and skiied. it was just a beautiful day and perfect for being at the lake. The mexican restaurant we went to was sooo good, but the probloem with mexican food is that I always eat too much. The chips and salsa are just so irresistable! They must be accompanied by wonderful margaritas of course. The kids told us when we got home that today was parents run with the xc team, so that was my wo this morning. We did a 3 mile run and then went from there to the lake for some more skiing. Now DH is napping! Tonight my sister is coming over for dinner so I need to get busy preparing. I hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.

Pam

Did MMA Boxing this morning. Sweated like mad! Tomorrow will do step moves.

Pam, Yes, I do have DOM's but not as bad as I thought I would. Good job getting all those errands done. Glad you went skiing, our weather is starting to get into the Fall mod, best to get all the skiing in as much as possible. I bet it was a lot of fun. Sounds like a great time with your run and then skiing some more. Wow! Have fun with your sister tonight.

Janie

Janie How are your legs today? I know sometimes DOMS hits you the second day. That is too funny about your Rock Hard Buns tape. I can just see the look on your daughters face when she played it LOL.

Pam I can't stay awake very late either and it is fustrating. What is more fustrating is when I do go to bed late I still wake up at 4 or 5 a.m. and can't get back to sleep. I am like a zombie for the rest of the day. Wow you were really productive on your day off. It is so nice when you can get things done and not waste away the whole day. Chips and salsa would be my downfall too, but salsa is healthy right.....
Good for you for doing the 3 mile run, I know you don't like running. Are your kids back at school now? I know the kids up here still have one more week.

Saturday I did 4DS kickbox with leg and core work. Today I did some yoga.
I am still waiting to see if Cathe posts anything for September. I know she is quite busy now with the filming. Have you seen the pictures of the workouts. The two that won at Daytona look amazing.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

Janie Ya gotta love sweating like mad! Oh I hate when the weather is getting into fall mode. One of my saddest times is when I am driving by ponds and can see the heat escaping because I know that our skiing time is close to an end. On the other hand, part of me is happy because then I am able to get something done on the weekends! We had a nice time with my sister tonight. It's not often that we get to spend time with her by herself so really enjoyed that. She was feelin lonely because her daughter is up north for 3 weeks with her dad and she is here all alone so it was nice.

Cheryl I am with you all the way on the waking up early no matter what time you get to bed. So annoying! Of course I will try to go back to sleep but once my cats see movement they are all over me so it's hard. My DH doesn't have this problem at all!
Salsa is definitely healthy, so I guess it's all about balance with the chips?! Our kids went back to school this past Wednesday. We always used to start the day after labor Day but that is not the case down here. They used to start in early August but the tourism industry was really hurting and sued so now they can't start before the third week in August. It's a little crazy
Oh yea, I hated the 3 mile run, but got through it. We will be going to the beach this weekend for the long weekend so there may be some more running in my immediate future......
I saw the pictures from the filming and you're right, those 2 from Daytona look amazing. One of them has some unbelievable abs! Wow! I bet they are having the time of their lives!

Today was my rest day so I did a short bike ride. It was the first time that I have been on my bike since April! I can't believe it has been that long! It was nice. Then we went for a ski this evening. I actually had goose bumps from being cold at the end of the evening. That is the first time in a long time. I still have no idea what workout I am going to do tomorrow! I need a rotation! I heard from Eunice on FB. They are in Melbourne now and she did a workout today so hopefully we will be hearing from her soon!
Have a great evening everyone!
Pam
