Lurkers Invitation 2010

Hi everyone I was having trouble getting back to my daily routine:confused::mad: so hard to get up and workout after such a long of a break eating out for a week, that doesn't help to the energy, when I was with my Family I ate little portions it was home made most of my meals, but when I was out with my in-laws it was restaurants, fast food, yuck:eek: I'm so glad to be back to my kitchen and cook what I like, I even missed the broccoli;)

Today I did the commitment to go back to workout I wont be following any rotation at least for this week, I've being running out of gas with my workouts:confused::( so I kind of want to work on my endurance again, slowly but surely!!!!
So today I started the week with one of my favorite one ever Step Moves and Shoulders from 4DS It felt good afterwords, so tomorrow probably I'll do Athletic Step and Biceps or any other body part next week hopefully I'll be ready for the rotation.
Cheryl this summer its going to be a long summer ever! we are leaving August 23rd and when we get to Australia its going to be the begening of summer again:confused: I hope the weather is not so crazy or at least the humidity its not so bad. I hope it is better for you next week and you get to wear shorts for a while:D

Pam My in-laws went back home last Thursday when we drove back to Twentynine Palms they drove back to Texas, they helped me a lot that weekend when I was sick and of curse the girls got spoiled:confused: My DH is planning on going to Texas before we take off I will have to think about it its a long drive and hes just going for some business, so not a big deal.... For the first week of August Grandmammy & Mother-in law are coming to Vegas and they want us to come for a day or so they want to see the Little ones one more time before we leave.
So what are you doing next?! witch rotation do you like for next time?!

Janie Hi!!! I'm pretty good thanks.... when I was at my moms house I got little bit sick and when I got back home last weekend I got sick again but this time with fever and diarrhea:( but now I'm good.... I have all of my people home DH is going back to work until the 12th....
pretty hard om me and my schedule but that's ok..

Have a good night everyone;):D:)

Cheryl It sounds like you are finally going to be able to get some shorts on and get outside, glad to hear it. I guess I would call it temporary insanity deciding to do CCC. I haven't done it in awhile though, maybe I should make myself  I am trying to get through the last week of the Fitness Freak rotation now. I think I should be able to stick it out because I really like all of the workouts that are scheduled for this week and my ankle is feeling pretty good. I think Cathe's July rotation looks really good though but VERY tough!

Eunice Oh my, I don't think I could make it through a 9:00pm movie without taking a nap! We went to see Toy Story 3 yesterday at 4:00 and I started getting a little sleepy even then! I hope you got to get to bed early last night! It looks like you were up early today! Good luck on getting some computer time this month  I'm sure it must be hard to compete for the computer with the kids at home. Since we both work with computers we have our laptops with us pretty much everywhere we go, so we are lucky (I guess?) in that respect!

I have really been enjoying all of your pictures on FB. I tried to post some the other day, got the camera all set up and hooked to the computer for the transfer and discovered that the battery was dead on the camera  I'll get it done one of these days!

Are you still planning to do the May rotation next or something else? I'm having a hard time getting excited about the May rotation with all of the running and kickbox in it.

I actually love broccoli, so I would miss it too! It sounds like you are doing a smart thing with your workouts this week. It can be hard to get back into it after being off for awhile, but I find when I do that I often have renewed energy so hopefully that will be true for you too!

Double summer! I would love that! A drive to Texas doesn't sound like fun to me, I think I would have to think about that one too. The trip to Vegas sounds like it would be fun though. As for the rotation, I'm leaning toward the July one. Depending on how my ankle is feeling at the end of this week I may take a few days off before starting into another rotation though.

Hi Janie I hope you are enjoying Vegas!
Hi Kelly Hope you are doing well.

I tried to post yesterday morning but couldn't get to the forums. I did Step Blast yesterday morning which is always fun and this morning was Muscle Endurance. I love the abs on that one! We had a really nice weekend. DSD stayed with us because she had to work and her mom was going out of town for the weekend so it was really nice spending time with just her. We skiied Friday night, Saturday and Monday. It made a big difference taking Sunday off, we all skiied so much better on Monday than we did on Saturday. Then we went to see Toy Story 3 yesteday afternoon. Now it's back to work way too soon :( Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!

Pam

Got up really early before it got really hot and walked with Joey and Rolly.

Will go for another walk tonight when the sun is down.

Pam, When I get home, I'll try and find more pictures to show of my artwork. Thanks for the compliments. Makes me feel good. Great job on Cardio and Weights. Oh Oh, my downfall is chocolate, can't help it. It can't be near me at all!

Cheryl, You are doing a great job on your workouts. I'm cutting back a bit too, but will get back really hard when our traveling is done by Jan.

Eunice, Don't worry, you'll be back to normal in no time. You are right to start your commitment so soon. Good for you. . I need to do that too, being in Vegas is not good on my eating habits.

Have a great day everyone,

Janie

Eunice I know what you mean about running out of steam with the workouts. I think it means that your body needs a break and to do something a bit lighter. That's too funny that you missed broccoli. I know you probably said in earlier posts but how long are you going to be in Australia for?

Pam Guess what.......I am actually sitting outside on the patio with my computer in capris and a TSHIRT!!!!!!! It is nice right now and later in the week it will be in the 80s. What's even better starting on Monday I will be on two weeks vacation. Ummmm now maybe we can do something outside. I found that I was having problems fitting in longer workouts so I am doing something a bit lighter this week. Cathe's July rotation looks good but tough. Since I will be on vacation for a couple of weeks I may do that one during that time and then go back to something that isn't as long.

Janie I am planning to cut back a bit in the summer and then get back to it when the weather gets crappy again. It is really hard for me when all the neighbors are out and about visiting to be consistent.

Today I did some yoga and about 1 hour of walking throughout the day.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

Pam Yesterday we went to watch Shrek at 6:00pm and I just couldn't stay awake:confused:!!! I know, I was just fighting with the girls to get on the computer they are on all day and my DH does too!!! I'm getting in some sleep everyday since the girls are off the school but I hate that when I finally go to do my workout the garage its sooo hot!!!
I'm glad that you like my pictures... I tried to take as many as I could.... I can't wait to see your pictures I hope its any time soon.
I don't mind running or kickbox I like both of them... Talking about running have you heard about the people who run barefooted? DH its been reading a lot about it and now hes getting crazy about it he even went to run barefooted one day! OMG:rolleyes:
I don't know about the May rotation or July... I want something different I have Insanity I was thinking about doing that one for a little bit, but I don't know yet!!!
Double summer hmmmm!!! will see how that one works. So your ankle still bothering you?! I'm sorry to heard that I know what you feel.
Sound like you had a fun weekend!!! I would love to learn how to skii one day I hope!!!!

HI Janie I hope you are having fun !!! are you still in Vegas?! I guess you are, have fun... when we were at the hotels one night my DH asked me to go to the gym with him we tried once, the gym room was so crappy, we didn't go, then the second hotel I didn't even tried, no way I was thinking I'll do it when we get home, just lazy but now I have to kick my own tail its so hard to go back to normal.

Cheryl I think what it is, is that I'm out of shape:( so hard to work for what we want but so easy to loose it if we let it happen.. Oh yes all this week I've being cooking a lot, and lots of veggies, I love brown rice and I didn't have any for almost three weeks that is so hard, but I'm back and I'm eating it again hahaha:p:p
Yeah we are going for 3 years, today we got DH and the two little ones passports I only need 2 more, one is on its way and the other one its not that hard to get it, its a Mexican Passport we can get it on one day...
Good for you that you finally are wearing Capri's and a tshirt, the other day I went to the pool with DH and girls and I wore a strapless:eek::rolleyes: I feel weird because I'm flat not boobs, DH say ""your fine because you have muscle"" ok I like that one!!!:D so now I want more strapless!!!
Were are you going for your vacation?! or you just gonna rest at home?! ether way enjoy.

Today I did Athletic Step and chest it was good. I'm so tired!!! I took the girls to the water park, cook dinner, and we have being playing the Rock Band 2 with the girls for almost 4 hours!! it was fun!! so now its time to go to bed...
Have a good night everyone!

Cheryl HOORAY for your nice weather! I hope it sticks around for awhile. We can't go outside now because it's too hot! It's supposed to be 100 today and we haven't had rain in forever. Two weeks vacation and you are going to be at home? That sounds like heaven to me! I hope that your weather holds up for it. We have been trying to decide whether we want to go to the beach or somewhere for a week, but it would be great to have time off and just be at home! I think it's good for you to spend some time outside when the weather is so nice so it makes sense to cut back on the workout time to take advantage of it. Plus you are so good about fitting walking in during the day.

Eunice Did you like Shrek, or did you sleep through too muck of it to know? Movies are like sleeping pills for me - put me in front of one and I will almost always fall asleep! It would be really hard to workout in the garage when it's hot. It reminds me of the times I was working out at the Y and the air conditioning was broken. I workout upstairs and I crank the temperature down to keep it cool during my workout :p
My DSS is a runner and we've talked to him about running barefoot. Some of his friends have tried it but he hasn't. I would worry about stepping on something. They make those vibram 5 finger shoes that look like toe socks that at least would protect you from stones and glass and stuff. It seems strange to me, but I guess we were born that way!
OOOooh Insanity. I don't have that yet but I really want to get it. Hmmm...my ankle is doing a lot better, but I still might take a few days rest after finishing this rotation on Saturday. We'll see. I know what you mean about those hotel gyms - they are usually very small and dirty, only have a couple of pieces of equipment and half of the time most of them don't work. Not exactly motivating! You'll get back into it though. It is very frustrating how long it takes to get in shape and how quickly you get out of it though isn't it?!

This morning I did the original Imax. It's a good mix of really tough and not too bad intervals. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Pam

The internet here is having a problem, that's why I'm not on as much as I'd like.

Just want to let everyone know that your workouts look really great and you all are doing such a job with them.

Don't know how long I can stay on the internet, but I am reading all the posts when available, and will post more once DH and DS get it figured out.

Will be going to Algodones Mexico tomorrow to pick up wonderful glassware and retinol for my face, and other things we might see to purchase. Should be a fun day, but it will be 105 with no AC. Wow!

Janie

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who falls asleep during a movie LOL. It is so fustrating when you really do want to watch it but those eyelids just get soooo heavy.

Eunice I know it is fustrating to work so hard to get into shape and then it seems all it takes is a week for your body to go back to mush. I know I feel the same way when I am not working out as hard as I should. I agree though that eating healthy really does help with feeling good. I had a hamburger for dinner tonight and I am really regreting that. My tummy does not feel too well right now. Three years will let you travel around Australia and New Zealand. People have said that New Zealand is a lot like British Columbia when I live. I have a cousin that lives in Australia but I have no idea what area they are in. I can't wear strapless anything. I really have no boobs and the top seems to find its way down to my waist  We are just going to stay around home for the vacation. I have a lot to do around here and I would really just like to relax.

Pam The temperature went from around 65 to 80 - 82 in one day.....my body is still trying to adjust to the hot weather. Right now I am sitting here sweating  I didn't work out tonight one reason is because dinner isn't sitting well with me and the other is the sun is shining into my workout room. I have the blinds closed and it is cool down in the basement but that doesn't last through the warm-up. I am thinking that I will try to do something tomorrow morning before it gets hot..... I don't like it when it gets so hot you can't go outside, that is not enjoyable for me. I like to just be at home sometimes. It feels a lot more relaxing. We might do some day trips, Whistler would be nice to go to and it is close. Glad to hear that your ankle to doing better too. I see you did to Original Imax, are you doing Cathe`s July rotation or is this still fitness freaks.

Janie Have fun in Mexico tomorrow. When my parents spend time in Arizonia they like to go down to Mexico to get their eyeglass prescriptions filled. They say it is much cheaper down there.

Have a great Thursday everyone.

Cheryl

Pam I swear I try as hard as I can with not luck:D that's ok those little nap are the best one I can get, I just hope I don't snore during that little nap, that would be enveresing...... You right it is so hard to workout with the heat that's why today I got up 7:15 and went straight to workout I ate a half slice of bread with peanut butter and a few sips of coffee, it was so much better.
I know DH want to go see those kind of 5 finger shoes just funny, crazy:rolleyes: Yeah I feel like doing some of those workouts, something different until today when I saw those new DVD's Turbo Fire...I really want to get those dvds I hope I can get them before we take off.
Ankle its a very hard body part to heal, tell me about it mine still getting sore once in a while some times when I seat down and relax is when I can notice what it hurts or doesn't.
Take care! and you right taking a break after your done with the FF rotation. I haven't done Imax the original in a while but if I remember correctly that one is a toughie one:confused:
Cheryl nope your not along !!! were 3:D that's too funny!!!!! Yeah food is the most important part of the whole shebang!! Tummy get use to good food too, so when you give the tummy something is somehow not as healthy as you use too is gonna complain.. when I want a hamburger we grill ours our selfs, little bit better than the huge hamburgers full of bad fat and thousand of calories (only if were not home, when we were at the little vacation we had in-and-out:eek: there so yummy but so frickin bad:mad:
Yeah we are going to be close to New Zealand! actually my in-laws are planning to come to visit and go to that City... My mom want to visit too.. I will make the impossible to bring her over, she is old and this is a long flight, I really hope she can make it.
That's just to funny how you say about your strapless. But I like it because that mean that we don;t have that much body fat:p:D
That's good too!! stay home to relax and do some errands some time that's all I want..

Janie I hope you have fun at Mexico..

Today I got up early and did Meso 1 disc 3 legs and core max part 1..... I'm soooo tired, and soooo sore, I just want to go to bed.
Good night everyone.

Janie It sounds like you are doing a good job of fitting in your walks when the heat isn't too bad. I am looking forward to those pictures of your work. I absolutely love chocolate and usually have some every day. To keep it in check though I buy the snack sizes of everything and just have a small piece or two in order to get my fix!

I hope you are enjoying Mexico today (I think it's today anyway!) I am a glassware addict, so you will have to post pictures of that wonderful glassware. My DH laughs at me because I have certain glasses that I have to use for certain drinks. It makes it taste better :p

Cheryl Welcome to the movie snoozers club :D It doesn't matter how interesting the movie is or how awake I think I am when it starts, it is like giving me a drug!

I guess that is another thing the three of us have in common - being flat chested! It's funny to here you calling 80-82 hot because when it gets down to 80 around here these days we think it's cool ! that really is about the perfect temperature though! I am still finishing FF's rotation, it had Imax in it too.

Eunice I know what you mean about snoring! I used to work with a guy who fell asleep in meetings all the time and started snoring! :p I love getting my workouts done first thing in the morning. It gets my day started right!
I was thinking about you last night because I picked up the mail and there was an REI catalog in it and on the back were those 5 finger shoes! They are so goofy looking :D They are really starting to get popular though. Let me know if you order the Turbo Fire workouts and I'll order them at the same time so we can do them together!

I think we might have lost Kelly.......
This morning was STS disc 26 - plyo legs. It was especially hard for me today for some reason. I think I was just tired when I woke up. I got through it though and then I did medicine ball abs. Only 2 more workouts and I'll be done with this rotation! Hooray! Have a great day everyone!

Pam

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well! Cheryl I hope you are enjoying your beautiful weather! We finally got some rain yesterday - we had some nice thunderstorms last night.
Eunice I hope you aren't as sore today! It sounded like you were really suffering yesterday
Janie I hope you enjoyed your trip to Mexcio, I'm looking forward to the report!

I did Low Max today. For some reason that workout seems like it goes on forever to me! I also finally got my sink back yesterday! It looks good, but here is my dilemma: I didn't tell them which side I wanted on the outside and they did it the opposite of what I wanted  it was totally my fault for not telling them, but now I'm trying to decide if I should just go with it or do a new one! Ay yi yi. Here are some pictures, although it's kind've hard to see.

Went to Mexico yesterday and it was 114 degrees! We kept to the shadows and into AC restaurants as needed. All in all, we made it and came out with some beautiful things. I got a metal roadrunner and had it can painted. Looks so nice. Was going to keep it for outside, but I now want it in the house somewhere.:D Also purchased 5 large drinking glasses, 3 variety shape bowls, to show off the bread I make, and some Retin-A in hopes to get rid of some of the uneven color in my face and to help with the overwhelming wrinkles I'm getting. Oh the woes of getting older.:( Took us 5 hours to get there and managed to endure the scortching heat for about 6 hours and finally got to the house around 9 pm. Long long day.

We plan on just resting today in AC environment. Today in Vegas is suppose to be 107 degrees. Yikes!

Cheryl, I rarely fall asleep in front of movies, but my Joey does all the time. It's just one of those things. I feel the frustration in him.

Joey got a couple of prescriptions at Mexico and they were less expensive than USA prices. He was considering new glasses but for some reason didn't.

Eunice, You do work so hard on exercising, and it shows. Hope your ankle gets better very soon, I know it can be frustrating at times. If you do get Turbo Fire, let me know how you like it. Would love your opinion on it.

We are not red meat eaters, but, our son (before we go home) will be treating us to an In and Out burger. Looking forward to it.

We did enjoy Mexico and everyone there were great at being hospitable.

Great job on your workouts. Hope you had a great night sleep.

Pam, The last couple of days I haven't walked with Rolly. Poor little guy. Tonight I plan an hour of walking with him. He will enjoy that a lot.

You are right about glassware and nothing taste better than in a beautiful drinking glass. I also found a new love while at Mexico. Dinnerware pieces. Oh my, they are beautiful and soooooo expensive. But, they are hand painted. From now on will continue getting them during our yearly travels. This Fall will be such a trip.

You did a great job on your workouts.

I Love Your Sink! The color blue is one of my favorite colors, especially the hue of your sink. I'm so impressed how it turned out. Where will you place the sink in your home? If you decide to do another one, I would love to have this one!;):D. Do enjoy it, it's so beautiful!

Kelly, we do miss you and hope you come back soon.

Will talk again later.

Janie

Hi Pam Thanks for checking on me, oh yeah yesterday I was having a real trouble moving hahaha!!! :p to funny but I'm good today well I'm better I did MMA:Kickboxing you know that we do the straight leg fingers touch the toes, to stretch the hamstring well I was touching my chins ONLY I couldn't touch my toes.
That's a beautiful glass I can't believe that you made it... that must be a lot of work, but so pretty! keep it, use it some where in your house I'm sure its going to look soooo good! Low Max hard on your legs and a long workout I think 72min, I don't blame you for feeling that one for ever. Good job Pam!!!!!!!!!!!

Janie What part of Mexico did you went?! I know its so gross the heat, in Cuernavaca the heat was making me sweat all over when I touched my legs they were sweaty, the humidity it make this weather even worse..
I haven't tell you guys what I got from my trip to Mexico yet, I will....
Just in case you don't want to eat the bread with the burger, ask for the Veggie Burger?! they wrap the burger with lots of lettuce instead of bread, I haven't have it like that but I should. Just in case!!!
I really want to get those series, I have to work in DH tough hes been silly with me.

Cheryl I hope you are having fun out side... Its funny like Pam say 80 degrees is hot for you 80 degrees here is getting cooler when are temperature its up on the 3 digits:p

Well let me tell you guys that when I went to Mexico I took the biggest suitcase full of clothes, toys, and stuff for my nieces and sisters.
So at the end I have a BIG EMPTY suitcase oh man!!:D My nephew said "who's this fridge" haha!! Well I brought ceramica( pottery) a fruit dish, a Jar with 6 mugs (for mother-in-law) a set of 6 little bowls, (for ice cream for the little ones they get the feeling that they getting a lot but not really) 3 bowls for the wall with lots of colors and pepper for design, my sister got me the big one and I got the medium size and the little size, 3 jars for the wall ( I had them sitting on the counter top I put them up and I broke one):( Oh well..Twirl Molinillo, a mariachi sombrero for DH, a resortera (slain shot) for Rachel, beautiful clothes 2 dresses strapless the fabric its manta its a Mexican topic fabric, 4 tops with hand needlework and a dress for Stacy so pretty and a Camisa for DH (guayavera) a hammock, a balero (toy for DH) 2 necklace that I got at the Zocalo turquoise and purple one amethyst so pretty (gift from my brother). Silver I got 2 bracelets, 1 ring, 1 pendent, 2 pair earrings, 3 pairs of little earring that my mom bought for the girls.... and little bracelets that my niece hand made for my self and the girls the one she made for my self its with the necklace...
I had to pay money for extra luggage, not to bad tough when traveling from the USA they ask for $100 right away, from Mexico I only pay $30 not to bad ha!!

Also let me tell you that yesterday we started with the moving stuff, physicals, dental screen, schedule the airplane tickets, TMO the transportation for our furniture, giving our 30 day notice to housing, so today we got up at 6:30am for the dental the didn't see us until 1:00pm so when I got home I went to workout, I did MMA:Kickboxing and Biceps/triceps from 4DS so we have been busy and done a lot in a little time. Now its lunch time and I have 2 little ones with a big appetite, I hope everyone else its doing good too, happy Thursday:D

Wow, Eunice, I see what you mean about a great group of ladies here!

Hi all, I am new to check in's here so you'll have to help me learn the ropes. I may not be able to check in daily because my schedules is pretty hectic, especially the week days. I'm still trying to figure out the different check-in groups. How do they start? Are they open to new people? etc...

I am 41, a wife to Joe, and a mom to Sandra who is nearly 16. I import grapes for a living and met Eunice at the San Diego roadtrip. In fact, we roomed together! :) My daughter is learning to drive and giving me more gray hairs to color.

I get up very early each morning to get my workout in (try 3:10am for size!), but Cathe helps wake me up. ;) Today was Kick Punch & Crunch. Tomorrow Body Max 2!

Shani

Well yesterday was a hot one (at least for me it was). There was no way I was coming into the house until I had to. It was really hard falling asleep and there is no way I can use a fan because the sound drives me nuts!!!! Well eventually I did fall asleep and then around 1 a.m. the dog across the street starts barking (I almost jumped out of bed it scared the crap out of me LOL). Then the sirens started and then the police helicopter was flying around over our place and they fly low when they are looking for someone  It took me awhile to fall back asleep again and then that stupid alarm goes off......
The past two mornings I have gotten up early to get my workout in before it gets too hot. I have only done the timesavers this week for something a bit easier.

Eunice Those 5 finger shoes look really funny. I know someone in the OD posted something about them awhile back. They are suppose to be really good for you. Wow I wish I could sleep in until 7:15 and then workout.....I was already at work by that time.....ummm when's retirement LOL. It is too funny that we all fall asleep during a movie...Pam is right they are like a drug. There really is a lot to do before you move to another country.

Pam I love chocolate too. Today during my walk at lunch they were giving away snack sizes of Hershey chocolate bars, and the guy gave me two of them Wow Hoo. I hate being flat chested though they seem to have grown a little bit. I would like to be able to wear big girl bras...maybe one day sigh....
I really like your sink. I guess what you need to think about is are you going to be upset that you didn't get redone or if you are fine with how it turned out. If you really want it done the way you wanted it originally I would say go and redo it. I think you will be happy you did it instead of making do.

Janie Wow 114 degrees....I think I would be ill. I don't do well in heat, our heat here is tough enough on me and it's only in the 80s.....ummm I feel like a wimp LOL. Wow you got a lot of things in Mexico. I know what Joey goes through, you really try to keep those eyes open but they just don't want to cooperate.

Shani Welcome to our little check in. There really aren't any rules for ours. Come in a post when you can. So you got to go to the road trip as well. Lucky you. I would like to go to one some day. Maybe if Cathe comes to Seattle which is only a couple of hours away from me. You have an interesting job, importing grapes. This may be a silly question but are the grape for eating or for wine making????
OK now I have to ask how do you get up at 3:10 a.m. Do you do this 5 days a week or do you take a break and what time do you go to bed? I am struggling to get up at 3:45 a.m. and I can't do that 5 days a week. I am usually in bed by 8:30 - 9:00. Glad to have you here.

I think everyone is right and we have lost Kelly.

Anyway have a great Saturday.

Cheryl

*Cheryl* I get up at 3:10am on weekdays and then get up more like at 6am on weekends. I'm in bed by 9pm and honestly on Thursday morning I struggle not to hit the snooze button. In the past, I'd take Thursday as a rest day, and sleep in till 4:30 to make it through the week, but I've been following a rotation and don't want to give up the day. I did just talk to my daughter about changing my schedule so that I work out after work but before dinner and shift my schedule later, allowing her to stay up, and a more regular schedule. The problem is that then I'm all sweaty and my makeup and hair are messed up so that I can't really do anything in the evening. I thought I'd give it a try next week.

And no, it isn't a silly question. I should have said it (normally do). :) I import table grapes, but also bring in nectarines, peaches and plums. Even today I was talking about importing apples. I also import from Brazil and Peru.

Was 108 degrees in Vegas today. Did take Rolly out at 8pm for an hour walk, and it was about 80 degrees this evening. Not too shabby.

Eunice, We went to Algadones near California.

I think if I'm going to "In and Out" that I might as well do it up right and eat a burger. Why not? It's a new experience.:D Before we go home I plan on one.

Sounds like you had a fantastic trip to Mexico seeing your family and friends and shopping. It's always such a great experience for me.

Great job on your workouts. I love kickboxing for my cardio too.:)

Shani, Welcome aboard! Don't worry about checking in everyday, just check in when you want to. These ladies all are very knowledgeable and will help in anyway they can. Being accountable for your health seems to go along way in doing it. Congratulations in taking that step.

I think just going into any group you might be interested in, as you did here, will get you started. Seems everyone excepts new people happily. However, I think you would fit in wonderfully here.

Anyone can start a group of their own at anytime. It might be a good idea to check on OD (Open Discussion) if anyone might be interested, and invite them to your group. It's that easy.

I am also a wife to my Joey, and a grandma to 4 grandson's. All, parents included, do give me gray hair as well.LOL:rolleyes:

You have a very interesting job importing fruit. Looking forward to learning more about it.

That is very early to start working out for me, but lots of people do it and successfully get their workouts in. And that's whats important. Good for you. Great job on your workouts by the way.

Cheryl, Oh, what a night you had. Did the police finally catch whoever they were looking for? I sure do hope your house is always locked up tight. I would have been petrified!

The timesavers are great workouts. You are doing it, and that's what matters.

It might be 114 degrees outside, but I'm in A/C or wouldn't be able to stand it either.:)

Take care everyone and will talk again tomorrow. Have a nice evening.

Janie I love your sink by the way! And thanks for the welcome and explanation of how this works. I'll stick around here! :) If you go to In-N-Out keep in mind that both the hamburgers and french fries are 400 calories each. Honestly, I think In-n-Out makes the BEST french fries around and are worth it. The burgers are pretty awesome too. I've tried it as a protein wrap once - and was SO hungry shortly afterwards. It is worth getting on the bun. And I'd bypass the onions unless you really love them. They put a full slice of an onion on there (of course you could pick out part and leave a few rings like most hamburger places do.)

My daughter might get a car today. It is way earlier than I had anticipated... she will be 16 next month. She will pay for half the car and we'll pay for the other half. She only has $250 saved so far (with an income of $40-60 a week) so it will be awhile before she has it paid off. She is asking for cash for her birthday though and may bump up her savings pretty quickly. Anyhow the car is being auctioned tonight and if the price is right we are prepared to buy it. Nervewracking!

Walked an hour this evening with Rolly. It was a little too early to do that and got overheated. Drank lots of water to recuperate. Today it got to 108 degrees in Vegas. Jeesh!

,

It's Pam who is famous for her sink. Isn't it beautiful? Don't worry, you'll know us all soon enough.;)

Thank you for the report of "In and Out". I'll definitely keep all those things in mind, especially the onions,:) and also looking forward to the fries.:p

Let us know what happens with the car saga, and hope you win the car for her. First car is so special, something she will remember all her life.

Shani When I was working out consistantly at 4 a.m. I would take the Wednesday as my day off but I also struggled Thursday and Friday to not hit that snooze button as well. I was working out in the evening. I would have to do it after dinner and then it seemed that there was not evening left. Now that summer is here it is too hard to do it in the evenings. I know what you mean though about being too sweaty to do anything afterwards. I get up at 6 a.m. on the weekends too, with the help of my cats LOL. We have a touch lamp in the bedroom and one of them likes to turn it on with his nose when he thinks I should get up. You have an interesting job importing fruit. Me I just sit at a desk in front of a computer all day. I don't have kids but if I did and at 16 mine would want a car I would also find that nervewracking.

Janie You know I have no idea if the police caught whoever they were looking for. We always have the house locked and honestly I was so hot and tired I didn't even think that someone might try to break in to get away from the police. This week the timesavers are working. I am now on vacation for two weeks so I will start in on Cathe's July rotation.

Tomorrow we are dog sitting for one of our neighbours. They are going just north of Whistler to go gliding. At least the husband is, the wife got it for him as a Christmas present. We have looked after him before but our youngest cat likes to stalk him when he is here. He can't go anywhere without Tango being hot on his trail. Should be interesting.

Have a great Sunday everyone.
