Today I just had to move some. I left my right arm completely out of the movements. I did not do the boxing speed bag moves in the last part. Still got a good enough workout. I did CDorner Standing Low Impact Cardio, 46 minutes, heart rate 143/168, 268 calories, 4,291 steps. I then did CDorner Lower body stretch 15 minutes, 27 calories, heart rate 81/99. Total time 61 minutes, 295 calories. I also did my usual neck and shoulder stretches, right side shoulder is always very gentle and I omit anything that hurts. Mostly I try to get the lats loosened up on that side. I looked at my notes and it has been 33 days of omitting my right arm from work in the workouts, although I did some mobility and have changed doing too much of that on that arm. Up and back moves are painful. Also I took note that it has only been 6 days that I did nothing, but a little stretching and it seems like it has been so much longer to me.
Cam, I did not see your post last night. I bet that was terrifying when you passed out from the pain. You have come a long way and I am glad that you are being careful to not have a setback. I remember watching some of Erin Stern's stuff. It is always tempting to do exactly what the instructor does, but I have learned that that is not always what is right for me.
Debbie, maybe a warm up before the weights will help. The Fitbit never seemed to pick up very well till after at least 15 minutes of work. Although I do remember some times when it heart rate would be up during the warm up and then plummet. I never could figure it out. I am sure your calorie burns are not right. I put the wedge pillow on my bed. It is comfortable. They do have suggestions for side sleepers. I always end up with pain when I sleep on my side. Shoulder hurts or sometimes my breast on that side will hurt and feel like I have pulled something from back to front. I do not get that one. Suggestions that I always read was to put a small pillow under the torso so you are not putting so much pressure on the shoulder. That does not work well for me though. I try to stay on my back.
Doreen, sometimes I do those workouts and I feel them later even when they seemed easy to me. YEs, and sometimes they are hard once I get into them.
Jolie, I bet it was nice to get out for a long walk in warm weather. The wedge pillow really helps, although for whatever reason, my allergies have kicked up and I have been coughing and sneezing all day yesterday and still today. I am wondering if I should not have purchased generic allergy meds. Hoping that does not happen when I get the mri and have to lie flat and still. I think the mold spores are crazy and also we have a street behind us lined with dirt piles they hauled in for putting in houses. They put up builder sales signs in front of all of the dirt. I am getting an influx of dirt through the house I keep trying to clean up. My arthritis doctor seemed to think it was the rotator cuff. I guess the mri will help know. I would like it to be treatable.
Belinda, I will have to check out the Dreena Love Loaf. Happy birthday to your husband. Nice work with Cathe Live #367
