Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for November 2021

Today I woke up sore from yesterday's workout, especially in the Chest area. I went for a 1 hour 22 minute walk outside in the hills and traveled 4.3 miles and burned 795 calories. I had to fight for this walk the entire time, I am very tired today from not sleeping well, these hot flashes are killing me again. I slept with just a sheet on, the door wide open with the fan outside blowing in the cooler air and I still was so hot. It was 50 degrees last night and it felt like 75 degrees. When will this be over!!!!!!!!

Debbie, great job on the workout today! Yes, the weather is absolutely perfect right now but we are in a drought and this is not good not getting any rain. I was on Youtube this morning looking at some step workouts that I could try. I like step that is more like Athletic Step from Cathe but easier :) No spinning or turning, I get too dizzy. Remember Cathe's Low Max, that type of workout but that one has way too many lunges to do now days.

Cam, nice job getting in a workout after a long day of work.

Today I did Cathe's RWH Hiit It Lift it Legs. I liked that the cardio drills were easy to modify.

Jolie, sounds like you would like our Wisconsin weather right now for your hot flashes. Hope you get through it soon and are able to sleep tonight. Sorry that you were so tired on your walk.

Debbie and Belinda, those sound like fun workouts today.

I am thinking of trying a free week trial of Cathe Live. Maybe after the holidays.
 
I am okay. Just tired from lack of sleep. I tried to sit in the recliner after I woke up this morning and was just starting to doze when the repair person returned my call about fixing the dishwasher. I could not fall back to sleep. I sat down later and tried and got the call that she was coming to fix the dishwasher in 10 minutes or so. Then my husband got up and my new dishes he got me for Christmas came so he was unpacking them for me and we washed them and put them all away. I guess that was yesterday. Today he was putting lights on the tree and I was doing what I could to help. It is pretty annoying not to be able to do things like normal. I keep thinking one morning I will wake up with more energy and at least ride on the spin bike a little. I did do stretches yesterday as I really need that. I see my primary care doctor for my yearly this week. I have been tempted to cancel, but then it may be a long time before I can do it.

Debbie, my left shoulder has a knot in it and my neck hurts on that side. I did a lot of left handed cleaning yesterday as I had a lot of dog hair and grass all over from the dogs running in and out the doggie door and rolling in the grass. So I know that is why that that side hurts. I think the first Cardio Crush was on Youtube. Maybe it is still there. I think the remake is better though.

Cam, I remember one of the Raw workouts was pretty long and had really long rests between sets. I get impatient with too long of rests. She has a lot of good weight workouts though. In the past with other surgeries, it seemed long to me till I could get back to my workouts, but you are right, it is definitely worth getting rid of all of the pain. I will sure be glad when I can talk to the surgeon and ask a few questions. So, I know what I can and cannot do. My neck is giving me fits right now because I am not able to do as much because of the right arm and shoulder.

Belinda, that is nice for you that people canceled and you can get in for the CT scan. Nice work with Amy again today.

Today I did RAW 4 Day Split Bi's and Tri's and had an excellent workout. It was followed with a Heavy Bag Finisher which I did as well. These workouts are short but they pack a punch. My bi's and tri's were shaking by the time I was finished.

This workout was 1 minute for each exercise/10 second rest. This was a great, intense workout.

Biceps
Supinated Curls
: 15's
W Curl to Rotate to Front: 12's
Hammer Curls: 15's (slow 4 counts up and down)
Bicep burnout w/Tube - Alternate Curls
Repeat

Triceps
Overhead Extension
: 15#
Kickbacks: 8's
Dips
Kickbacks w/Tubing
(burnout set)
Repeat

I warmed up on my treadmill for 5 minutes, did this workout and then followed it up with the Heavy Bag Finisher, which I love. So the entire workout time was 44 minutes, burned 187 calories (BS), did 2180 steps and HR was 100/160.

Belinda - So what happened about your CT Scan? When did you get that done? Hope all is good.

Jolie - Isn't it weird how these hot flashes come and go? I've been good for a while now, knock on wood, and only have about 1 a day. I don't have night sweats anymore and haven't for about a year. Hope they go away for you soon, I know how annoying that is. Kelly's step workouts in RAW are easy to follow and no turning in most of them. They are fun, too, but not very long. Most of them average 30-40 minutes.

Cam - Great job with your workout yesterday!

Diane - When is your appointment with the Orthopedic doctor? It can't come soon enough, I'm sure!! I hope they can help you out, dealing with pain daily is very hard. Makes everything miserable.
