Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for November 2021

Cam - Good luck with Afterburn - I haven't done it in a while but every time I do I get glute DOMS!!!

This morning I did RAW Ripped and Ride January which is bike with upper body weights.

This morning I did RAW 4 Day Split Shoulders and Legs. Had a great workout, wow was this one tough. I was sweating for sure.

1 minute each exercise with 10 second rest

LEGS
Heel Front Squats
: 15's
Deadlift Down, Squat Up: 15's
BSS: 15# (I did static lunges, my knees hurt)
Repeat

SHOULDERS
Shoulder Press
: 10's
Lateral Raise: 8's
Front Raise: 8's
Bent Over Lateral Raise: 8's (30 seconds)
Repeat

Really tough, she does different speeds during the press and laterals and my shoulders were really burning.

I also did the 16 minutes RAW Kettlebell Finisher that was 16 minutes. Another tough workout, this was had a good cardio factor in it.

Belinda - You have a daughter that is turning 60? You are not 80 years old so am I reading this wrong? And if you are, I bow down to you! You are my inspiration!

Jolie - I am feeling just ok, my left tricep is still a problem along with the upper back and knots. I just don't get it. Sick of it. I'm just happy I can lift but wondering for how long? Maybe I need an xray or MRI? Great job with your workout yesterday!

Doreen - Good job with your workouts!

Diane - Wow, I'm sorry you are in so much pain again, I can't believe it. I really thought you were on the mend. I hope they can shine some light on the problem, hopefully they will call you soon for the MRI appointment.

Cam - Great job with your workout!! Who does the Afterburn workout you ordered?

Roselyn - Here are the videos. One is for her morning routine and one is for her evening routine:

Hi everyone,

Today I did CL# 366 PHA Super Sets No Repeats.

Debbie - my DD turned 36 on Halloween. My husband has his big 60 this month. Although, I sometimes feel like am 80...I am not, lol :) I am 58. I agree with you you probably need an X-ray or an MRI to get to the bottom of your pain. Great job on your workout today. Thanks for sharing the link.

Jolie - congrats on the weight loss. You are doing amazing. Keep up the great job!

Diane - I have a few appointments coming up. How about you? How are you arm doing?

Cam - AB is a tough on. Enjoy!

Doreen and Roselyn - good job on your workouts.

Good night.

Today was going to be a rest day, but thought I would do another Michelle Breihler PiYo. Except, while looking at my dvds, Michelle Dozois's 360 Athletic Conditioning just popped out, so that's what I did. I still love that one. It gets me every time. Also did the Athletic Stretch.

Debbie, I ordered Cathe's Afterburn. It's been on my radar and was a daily deal and so was ICE Chiseled Upper Body, so waiting for them both.

Debbie & Doreen, sounds like you had good KCM workouts. I'm going to have to check out the skin care vid.

Belinda, That PHA sounds like a fun one.

Diane & Debbie, hope you both decide to get an MRI. That way you will know whats going on and what treatment is needed.

Tomorrow will be a rest day. This week seems to be flying by, for me anyway.

Good night everyone!

I did A youtube from the girl with the pilates mat, standing pilates for arthritis gentle workout warm up 17 minutes, 23 calories. Sad, but I had to modify as my right arm is not going overhead or circling around. It was just easy simple movement and stretches. I then did CDorner Fast basic Step #159, omitting most arm work, right just stayed at my side as I read it should be kept at my side. This was 29 minutes, 175 calories, heart rate 143/167, 2,632 steps. It was done outside and it looks like there was a wire fence put up along the tree line that I do not remember from the last one. I also did her Stretch for after step 11 minutes, 17 calories. This was 64 minutes, 215 calories. I did the usual upper body work and felt much better for awhile. Then this afternoon pain has been through the roof. I tried to pick up my cell phone and excruciating pain hit in my shoulder. Then when I plugged it in I couldn't without setting it on top of a low trashcan so I did not have to move my arm as I had to hold onto it with one hand and plug it in with the other. No calls on the mri. Seriously when the pain gets like this and it feels like something is pinched or caught in there and I can't find the angle to get out of it, I am thoroughly scared of an mri. I think the doctor does not get how much it hurts when I tell him. My husband was watching me and said I cannot keep up like this. Icing helps for awhile and I ended up taking Advil on top of the Curcumin and Bromelain. It has settled a bit. No cleaning floors tonight. I had to empty the dishwasher with rests. I just got on hear and typing can sure hurt.
I watched a youtube about what the therapist called mouse arm as computer mouse. She was showing proper position for typing and working at a computer. She also showed points to massage with the cane and some things to do at the desk. She said the pain is usually on the right arm which is what most of us use.
I read all of your posts, but think I will stop here and go to bed. Maybe things will be better tomorrow. I ordered groceries so I do not have to go push a shopping cart around. So they will be here in the am.

This morning I did CDorner's Kickboxing Tabata Style Workout/No Jumping Option that was posted on Nov. 2. What a great and fun workout that was. Slow and controlled, I was able to use my 2# hand weights for the boxing moves. She showed decent modifications for the mountain climbers and squat trusts which still got my HR up pretty good. Great workout but she talked too much during the workout as usual. But this is one I would do again. Great 80's music in it as well.

Workout was 42 minutes.

I thiink I'm going to start wearing my Fitbit again. I will try not to get obesessed about steps and just wear and do what I'm doing now. Obviously it is not the cause of my pain so I think I'll try wearing it again starting tomorrow.

Belinda - LOL! The post you did on Tuesday says your DD is turning 60. I didn't think that was right. 36 makes more sense!! You must have meant your DH.

Doreen - Ripped and Ride workouts are fun. I love that you can use whatever cardio equipment you have with those workouts.

Roselyn - You're welcome. Those videos are overwhelming because she uses so many products. It took me a couple months to acquire them all due to cost. But, I am now on the same regime she is and my skin has never looked better. People have actually asked me if I've had any work done on my face. WTH? So cool! One thing is, I use the Curology, which is expensive, and quite frankly I am not sure that is what is creating all the great changes. But I'm glad I got it and use it daily. And the bottle I get is for two months but easily spans three months so I can adjust the delivery time on my account and that saves me money.

Cam - I know how I am and probably won't get an MRI until I can't move. Probably a mistake, but it seems to take the act of God to have doctors request an MRI. Mine is pretty good right now, just knots and soreness from lifting. Hopefully it won't get worse. Great job on your workout! I thought I heard of Afterburn before. Hope you enjoy it!

Diane - They can give you a sedative to make you relax and sort of sleep during an MRI. My mom had that done when she had an MRI a long time ago. I'd request that if the pain is still as bad when you get it done. I cringe when I hear you describe what you are feeling. My goodness, what on earth could it be? I hope your rotator cuff isn't what is causing all this. I will say a prayer for you, I sure hope that pain goes away. When you can type and feel like it, can you send me that video on posture with the computer? I'd like to take a look at it. Take care Diane. So sorry you are in such pain.

Jolie - Hope you had a good rest day yesterday!

Have a great workout everyone!!

I did the new RAW Stepboxing workout this morning. It was good - I ran out of time and this was fairly short. I wish I had more time to workout longer - maybe in a couple weeks.

Sorry I forgot to post yesterday, a repair man showed up early and then I just forgot to get back to it. Yesterday I did my own arm workout and today I did a 2 mile walk outside. I am not feeling 100% by any means, I still have very low energy but this happens every time I get really sick, it takes me so long to get the energy level back to normal. Today I did not lift weights because my son is now sick and my husband told me to not push it. I have thought about this very long and hard and I think I may stop lifting for a while except for very lite weights. Why? All of a sudden my back is hurting again and the only thing I have done is start to lift weights again. Walking is perfect and doing kick boxing was fine so I am just do some sort of step class with lite weights. I actually really like the way that I look now, long and lean muscles instead of bulky bigger muscles that I have had in the past. I am going to play some tennis as well, I just have to find someone to play with. Also, I am going to get back into golf so my husband and I can do that together on Sundays. I used to be really good at both of them back in the day so why not try it again! I will continue to check back in daily but my fitness is going to change drastically I think. I see so many of us in a lot of pain lately and I am over it. For what?! A friend of mine that I met in my neighborhood swims at the gym so I might try that with her this spring. I am also a big equestrian, I used to 3 day event before I had kids and did Jumper Shows and Dressage shows. I do not have a horse anymore but my husband just hired a guy and his wife rides close to where I live and she said I could ride with her on her horses. That would be a dream come true for me again. So, each day I am going to get some sort of physical activity and it may or may not be in the gym. How does that sound? I just want to be healthy and lean and flexible going forward with NO pain.

So, what is the easiest step instructor, you all know I get really dizzy and cannot do any kind of dancy moves like Cathe does, I like something like Athletic step but easier!

Debbie, great job on the workout today, I will look in to her workouts tonight. I would wear the FB too if it isn't causing you any pain. Why not!

Diane Sue, I cannot believe the amount of pain you are in lately! I have a friend that was in so much pain and had her breast implants removed and all of her issues have gone away. I know this is personal but do you have implants? A lot of people say they effect them in a very bad why over time and end up taking them out. I cannot remember if you do or do not. Something to look into if you do. My friend said it has changed her life!

Doreen, way to go on the RAW workout today.

Belinda, I have a lot of Bdays in December in my family. I hope you are feeling well.

Roselyn, killing it with BB this week!

Cam, I hope you have a great workout today.

Make it a great day!

No workout today. I am just alternating ice and heat and resting today. I am going to have to call the doctor tomorrow and ask about the mri since they have not called since I was in there Monday. I would like to find out what we are dealing with. This is the worst ever. I had to squat to pick up delivered groceries off the ground as bending over to pick up with the left hand made the right start the shooting pain. Later as putting things away I found I could bend over to do something with my right arm behind on my hip. Reaching and pulling is terrible and the same goes for trying to pull myself up out of a lying position. I got up at 2 am because my dog needed out and seems to be having tummy issues. I finally just sat in the recliner after some Advil and eventually fell asleep. I got 4 hours in.

Cam, nice work yesterday. I am hoping that mri comes through soon.

Debbie, I know I can get something to relax for the mri. They mentioned it, but in the past I have not had a problem with them. Also I did not know who would be able to go with me as everyone works and I would not be able to drive home. Anyway, my daughter was making suggestions today. I looked at that CDorner workout and was wishing I could do it. I am like you as far as putting things like the mri off. Then my daughter keeps telling me I need to see an orthopedic surgeon and I have a dread factor of another doctor. I am prone to calling and postponing appointments. But, right now I think I have no choice, but will see what the tests show and my arthritis doctor says.

Doreen, I am glad you liked the step boxing workout. I want to do that one.

Jolie, you have some wonderful skills and opportunities for outdoor stuff. It sounds like fun. Yes, being in pain does not seem worth it. Yes, I think a few years ago I mentioned the implants when I had lymph nodes taking up old silicone from prior implants. I had talked to my surgeon for the ones I had that had replaced the leaky ones years before and he thought I would be better off getting new implants as he had to go in and see if the current ones were leaking. They were not and I had smaller implants put in. I do have concerns about the silicone from those old implants and have been through lots of tests with the lymph nodes. This last time he tried to clean up more silicone as it spreads and is hard to get rid of once they leak. I would not advise anyone to get implants myself. I read that they have done studies and there is some thought that they can set off autoimmune disease like RA. Some studies though showed that some of the women were probably already predisposed to the autoimmune disease and the implants just reinforced it. Anyway, there is no way I will ever get rid of every bit of the silicone and I am eternally sorry I was not happy with what little bit I had before. A couple of months ago my lymph nodes in my clavicle were swollen again and tender, and I kept my eye on them and they finally went away again.
My grandson who is 9 has been taking golf lessons. He just had his last lesson for the season competition till next season. One of my game day ladies is a golfer and if it is warm and sunny she does not go to game day. Her best friend there always says things about hoping it will rain so that she will come. I am sorry that your son is now sick. Sending well wishes for all of you. Your husband is right about rest and getting your strength back. We all are probably not the best at listening to our bodies very long.

Belinda, I hope that all is well with you and appointments have gone well. Did you have the zoom birthday party yet?

Hi everyone,

Today I did CL# 366 Mobility-Yoga Fusion Live Workout. Loved it. Everything was slow. Will defiantly do that one again.Today is Sadie's 3rd birthday.

Debbie - yeah, I meant to say my husbands 60th birthday is coming up. LOL! All those meds make me wired at night, I hardly been sleeping.

Cam - it was a lot of fun. Great workout, girl!

Diane - I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I see the surgeon for my arm on Monday. Can't wait find out what is going on. Maybe take a few day's of working out. Resting is good.

Jolie - sorry to hear about your son being sick. I hope he feels better soon. If your back hurts, definably back off heavy lifting. I been using light weights for month now. I agree, so many are in pain here. No shame in going lighter. Do whatever feels good to your body.

Roselyn - great job yesterday.

Doreen - nice job today.

Good night.

Belinda, it would be nice for us to get to the root of the problem and get some help. Sadie looks so cute. I love those ears. I read what Debbie read and thought that cannot be. I was pretty sure your daughter was not turning 60. That is great that Cathe has put up a live mobility yoga fusion. I kept wishing she would do something like that.

I know I said I wouldn't be mentioning the vaccines on here again, but I just have to say our president is the biggest dimwit in the world. What is he thinking mandating the vaccine? I'm glad they are at least offering to take the test every week, which is what I'll probably have to do, but I certainly hope our governor's fight this. I know a lot of states are including Ohio. So we'll see. Just sick to death of this whole situation.

This morning I did two very fun workout from Kelly. The first one was RAW Slim Scuplt which was a very fun fast moving cardio to weights workout. Pretty much non-stop. The music sucked but the workout was so good I just ignored the music. I used 15's and 8's. Loved it and I wore my Fitbit:

Workout was 24 minutes, burned 119 calories, 1589 steps and HR was 106/152.

Then I did RAW 30 Minute Box & Sculpt, sort of on the same basis as above but going back and forth between weight moves and boxing moves. I used 5's, 8's and 10's for it plus my 1# sand weights.

Workout was 25 minutes, burned 106 calories, 1285 steps and HR was 100/122.

Sort of good to wear my FB again but I refuse to get all obsessed about 10K steps a day. I liked not being a slave to this thing so I won't be. :)

Doreen - I saw that RAW Step Boxing workout, I will be doing it for sure next week. Can't wait to try it!

Diane - Thank you for the link, I will watch it for sure this weekend. I sure hope you can get your appointment for the MRI soon. I feel so bad for you going through this. My cousin was in similar pain as you and she ended up having to get shoulder surgery. She is great now and except for the first two days, she said she wasn't in that much pain afterwards. It might be something you will need to do. She also has arthritis really bad. Can't one of your daughters take you to the MRI appointment? I'm sure they can take a day off? I'd come and take you if I lived near you. Hugs...

Jolie - I think I am agreeing with you on the lifting weights. Although I loved lifting with Caroline, I was just waiting for something to be pulled or injured again. I don't want to take that chance, that's why I went back to Kelly's workouts. I feel they are safer because she is our age and knows how to workout safely for our bodies. I'll probably just stick with her and I really enjoy the cardio/weight workouts. They are so fun and I missed doing them while I was doing Caroline's. I'm sorry your back hurts again, hopefully you are better today.

Belinda - Your dog is SO CUTE!!!! OMG! Love how you have her dressed up.

Roselyn - One other thing about those skin are videos - Angie from Hot & Flashy knows what she is talking about. Her dad is a chemist and she has that in her as well. She knows what to use on the skin and when. I can't say enough good things about her.

Have a great day everyone and a great weekend. So happy it's Friday!!!!

This morning I did RAW Fitness Ladder 2. It was not bad. A circuit of about 12 exercises they did, then did backwards, then were going to do again for 3 rounds. After the up and down was about 40 minutes and I had to stop there. I was using heavier weights than Kelly and Noelle and I was feeling it.

Jolie- I hear you on the just being active idea. I'm wishing for the day I don't have to be at a compter 8-12 hours a day at work and can just be out hiking, riding my bike, walking the dog. I'd probably just stop the official workouts at that point. But alas - the only way now is to schedule a workout so I can stay in shape so I can do those things when I have more time.

Today my back is much better, no pain at all so laying off the weights helped big time. My son is feeling much better and is back to work today. Todays workout was a walk outside, 2 miles in the hills and I started coughing so I came home. All of the chest congestion is finally breaking up and that is usually the last thing before getting to be 100% better.

Debbie, this President is the biggest idiot on the planet!!! He doesn't even know what he is saying and someone is feeding him all of his info while he is talking, he sounds like a moron! Great job on the 2 workouts today. When I am 100% sick free, I will sign up with Kelly so I can do some workouts with you. I found some basic step and weight workouts on YT last night so am excited to try those out asap. I am curious if wearing the Fitbit causes you any pain, probably not. I found this new Ring you wear that is just like a FB and I may get it. It can even tell you that you are getting sick and so much more. It is called Oura Ring. Check it out, it looks interesting. It has and app and you can get all of your stats on it.

Diane Sue, how are you feeling today? I sure hope you get to the bottom of this pain, I swear, there is nothing worse than being in pain. I am sure that your RA is a big culprit here, my dad's friend has it and it has cause some real issues for him but in his hands. I hope you get a workout in today but being careful is probably a better thing to do right now.

Doreen, great job on the RAW workout!!! I hear you on the mountain biking and outdoor activities, I would much rather do things like that than be inside in a gym working out. I love being outside and in the Great Outdoors!

Belinda, Happy Birthday to Sadie! She is so darn stinking cute!!!!!!! Great job on the Cathe workout, I saw a clip on her Instagram and it looked great.

BBL to read the posts for the day. What does everyone want for Christmas this year? I have always wanted something for working out, but not this year. This year I want either new pots and pans, I love to cook, or maybe a trip to the desert to do some hiking, golf and some tennis with my husband. No more gym equipment, dvds or workout cloths. I want something else for once in my life LOL! A new food processor would be cool or even an air fryer.

No workout again. I think I am going to rest this weekend. Still have pain, but so far I am careful and it has not had the hard nerve type sharp lock up. I slept over 10 hours in the recliner last night o_O That is a first as far as I can remember. I called the arthritis center and of course I get sent to a certain department that leaves a message saying they will get back to you and give it up to the next business day. They do that all of the time. Hopefully they call before the day is over. My Garmin still has my body battery really low even after all of the sleep, but it does take in heart rate, respiration, stress and the whole picture when it comes back with that. Workouts take it down quite a bit, but today I am at 58 out of 100.

Debbie, my daughter said just get the appointment and someone will get me there. She is off Wednesdays, it would be a lot of driving for her as she lives about an hour and a half from me and so all of those trips would be a lot. She lives out in the country so is kind of used to travelling, although the clinic she works in takes her about 20 minutes, so not bad there. My husband could do it on a Friday. So we will see. She seems to think it will more than likely need surgery though. Most people are glad that they got the surgeries and are free from all of the months and years of pain.
I keep praying that those mandates are stopped. It hurts so many people and their jobs let alone the stress. It is not following the science anyway. If it did they would be checking out those who have had the virus, checking out those countries that are doing well and did not do all they are doing. It is appalling to say the least.

Doreen, nice work with Raw Fitness Ladder 2. I have done the first one several times, I would guess it is the same format. I think she did a little less on the 3rd round on the first one?

Jolie, I saw a ring for fitness online recently. My thought was trying to read the thing when I am working out. I don't know what I would want for Christmas. Right now I have some blush My Pillow moccasins in my wish list. I want a new foam roller and thought Cathe's looks nice. I like my little air fryer, but would like to have one that is healthier without the non stick teflon type surface inside. I like buying bags of veggies like squash and sweet potato and tossing with a bit of oil or spray with spices and roasting them in the air fryer. It is easy and quick. I really like my Gotham Steel cookware. I would like to add a smaller saucepan to the set though. I keep meaning to look. I have worked on getting rid of most teflon stuff. I have several pieces of Pampered Chef that lost most of the teflon, which I am sure that we consumed as it went.

Today I did Penny Barnshaw 45 min. No Repeat Fat Burning Cardio. I liked it but she really likes plank exercises. Unfortunately, my tricep can't handle too much, so I had to sub here and there. My Cathe's came yesterday, so tomorrow morning is Afterburn. I am an early riser, but not a morning exerciser. Hopefully i will make it through.

Debbie, Slim and Sculpt sounds like I would like that one. Good workouts!

Jolie, glad you are feeling better. Sounds like a good walk, other than the coughing.

Debbie & Jolie, I am concerned that we have 3 more years of this crap. This administration is all about power and control. They don't care about anyone or this country. It's all about power.

Doreen, are you able to take a walk at work? I try to take a 45 min. walk on my lunch if the weather is decent. It makes a difference in my disposition. Though, with the weather getting colder, I don't feel like dressing in layers but I will force myself.

Diane, glad you are going to rest. Hopefully that will help. I hope you can get some relief soon. You are a tough cookie!

Belinda, your dog is a cutie!

Have a good weekend everyone! It's supposed to be nice this weekend in my neck of the woods. Gotta enjoy it because pretty soon winter will be here. Daylight savings this weekend so next week it will be dark by 4:30. Ugh!

Good morning,

Sorry for not checking in we took a road trip to Skyline Drive before all the leaves from the trees are falling. It was very cold yesterday 41, we did ended up taking a short hike with Sadie. I bundled her up to keep her warm. I will see if I can post a picture of her. She is so cute.

Today I did CL# 363 Boss Bands & Loops: Metabolic. Great workout.

Have a wonderful day today. I will catch up later on personals. Need to pick up my CSA.
