Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for March 2022!!

Today was a longer session at PT. It was an hour and 15 minutes. PT added more strength moves. I did straight arm lateral raises slightly forward to hit a certain muscle with 2#. Rotating in and out with a band. Also tubing work. Still doing the pegs, ladder, arm bike, weight bar work. I am sore tonight. I don't go back till Tuesday since he will be gone Monday, and I will be gone the end of the week. Hopefully I can get some work in myself and some cardio.

Cam it is raining here tonight. Not as nice and warm as the last two days. It is nice you got a walk in earlier.
Belinda, nice work on the TB workout. Which set of workouts have you been doing? Somehow, I missed it.

Roxie, good luck with the job interview.

Jolie, Cam's idea would be good to keep your spine even. I have done that before sleeping, but more to keep from lying on my shoulder and putting pressure on my neck. Now I pretty much am on my back. I use a wedge pillow under legs, and I lie on another with a lumbar pillow under my back. This pretty much makes it hard to lie on my side. I have pretty much cut coconut oil and milk back out of my diet. No cholesterol, but it is saturated fat and sources seem pretty mixed on it.

Debbie, I can't wait to be able to do some of those Kelly workouts. Maybe she will get the newer workouts format down eventually. Although I have noticed some that were cardio and weights, she does not put worksheets up on. It had been a little over 2 years since my last ultrasound.

I did a 45 minute ride this morning with a new to me trainer on IFit. This is part of the Colorado mountain town series - shot in Telluride, Co. Great trail by the river and I like this instructor.

Good morning,

Day 54 Tabata & Booty is done. DH and I will get out and enjoy the nice weather today.

Debbie - enjoy your rest day and weekend. You deserve it.

Diane - you are doing amazing with your PT and workouts. I am doing Heather Robertson 12 week, 2.0 workouts. The program is 12 weeks. I am on week 11, loving every minute. She doesn't rush through the workouts, great variety of workouts. I probably will stick with her workouts for awhile. The music is pretty good too. I finally listen to her music. Better than some I been hearing, lol.

Great job everyone else.

Today I did CDorner Fast Basic Step Aerobics. I liked it for about 30 minutes and it just got too repetitive. I like more choreography, so next time I will do an intermediate level. I did like the steady state for a change and worked up a good sweat.

Really crappy weather today. Cold, windy and rainy today.

Have a good weekend everyone!

This morning I did the first part of a CDorner 70's 80's step workout finishing with the finale and stretch. This was 40 minutes, heart rate 109/127, 155 calories, 2,833 steps. We had our Tv cabinet show up at 6:30 this morning and a meeting to go to this afternoon so I did not have a lot of time to do the whole workout. I was hoping for fun music but it was pretty much disco type stuff which I do not care for.

Cam, I like more choreography as well. It makes it a lot more fun. Windy and chilly today here too. We had rain and hail during the night.

Belinda, I wrote down Heather's name so I can take a look. I hope you had a nice time enjoying the weather today.

Doreen, I bet you enjoyed the iFit ride in Colorado. So much beautiful country to enjoy.

Debbie, enjoy your rest this weekend.

I did an upper body workout this morning on Ifit with bobsledding champion Kaillie Humphries. I think I did the wrong order on her workouts but gather that she was the primary force behind getting women's 4 man bobsled teams into competition (prior they only had women's 2 man bobsled). She appears to be quite the firecraker of a woman!!

I forgot to post yesterday. I went for a 4.7 mile walk with my hubby at the beach on the trail, 1 hour 31 minutes and I burned 801 calories. Today I walked on the TM for 1 hour, traveled 3.1 miles, I did a hill workout and the highest incline I went up was 6.5 and I burned 504 calories. Next, I did Chest, Back and Triceps, 2 exercises for each body part, high reps to failure and it felt great. I threw in 2 ab exercises and that is something that I need to work on each day. Total calories burned was 588.

Cam and Diane Sue, I use a body pillow and that is really helping but my low back is still sore sometimes when I wake up but thanks for the suggestion.

Everyone is killing it on the workouts, we should be proud of ourselves.

Happy Saturday. My son leaves tomorrow to go back to school, so I want to spend as much time with him today as possible and I have to do all of his laundry. What we do for our kiddos! It is amazing how many clothes they wear in a day when they are not doing the laundry. Am I right!

Today I did Vera LaRo 40 min. Full Body Trisets. I absolutely loved this strength workout. 2 sets of each triset for 30 seconds. That was perfect. I couldn't believe how sweaty I got. Tough stuff. I also took a 2 mile walk with my dog. Lousy weather today but no wind. The rain stopped but a gloomy cold day.

Jolie, I remember when I did 15 loads of wash on the weekends. It was neverending. Crazy. Yes, we are killing it with our workouts! I am really building strength now and even my core has gotten stronger. Using the gliders for core work is brutal, but paying off.

Have a great day!

Today I started with Kelly's Coffey's warm up clip from Cardio Fit, 5 minutes, 17 calories, 506 steps, heart rate 97/113. I had intended to just go on from there, but I had looked at the results and accidentally deleted it from my Garmin, so added it and started my watch up again. I did Walk Strong 3: Boogie IT, 30 minutes, 122 calories, 110/139 steps, 3,214 steps. I finished with Walk Strong 3 Total Stretch, 18 minutes, 39 calories, heart rate 83/101, 15 steps. Total workout time was 53 minutes, 178 calories, 3,735 steps.

Doreen, the Bobsledding Champion sounds like she would be inspiring.

Roxie, fingers crossed for you with the job interview. Nice work on week 1 day 2. I hope you got an enjoyable walk with your dog.

Belinda, I looked at some of Heather Robertson's workouts. Is there a lot of impact in the cardio? I looked at a Cardio Hiit Ab workout, but it looked like she was holding a weight for the abs and I think I maybe should watch a couple of videos before I try to do them. Thanks for the link of that series you are doing.

Jolie, I would say girls are worse than boys with the clothes changing. I remember mine, changing, wanting a particular item. My youngest liked her blue jeans ironed so there were no wrinkle lines. Boys tend to leave theirs in a pile somewhere. It makes it hard to tell which are the worn ones and which are the ones they did not wear. That is my experience anyway. That is nice you and your husband got a long walk in and you got a great workout in today. I have never tried a body pillow. I recently have added the memory foam mattress topper from my pillow. I often have a stiff back and wobbly legs when I crawl out of bed. Enjoy your son before he leaves.

Cam, I never let laundry sit long enough to have that many loads at once. I did some daily. As soon as there was enough for a load I washed. It was always something I did not like lying around. My husband does ours a lot since I had surgery and he usually has it all done and put away when I get up in the morning.
I like doing abs with gliders, but a lot of it requires me to be on my hands so I cannot do it now. It will be nice when I get the go ahead to do what I would like to do. I know I have awhile for that though. I fell asleep in the recliner yesterday and ended up on my side lying on my arm and boy did it hurt when I woke up. Usually I stuff a cushion on the side of myself when I am resting in the recliner though. You are doing some amazing workouts.

Checking in with Heather Low Impact No Repeat Mashup. I changed up most of the workout. Ha! It was ok but I made cardio combos and just did different things. I liked my version much better. There was too much on the floor stuff for my tastes, so for push up moves I changed it.

Diane, I always did and still do wash during the week. I also have my mom's so it was 15 loads + for a week. I also had a crappy expensive top loader that would take for ever to do a load and always went off balance. I hated it. I have a better one now and my wash load is 45 min instead of 90 minutes. I do have less now though, but you are right, I yell at my daughter that if you wear something for a couple hours, you can wear it again. Ugh!
The most challenging for me, getting back into working out after surgery, was finding workouts that were just standing. I did a few workouts on YT by Burpee Girl. She does a bunch of low impact standing workouts. You may want to check her out.

Have a good day

Diane - Heather shows modifications, I did all her cardio modified. You always can drop/or don't use a weight for her ab workouts. Modify as much as you need. I can't do a lot of her exercises kneeling, I do them standing on a step instead. Same goes with a weight overhead, just keep it on your side.

Good Evening,

DH Sophie and I went for a 1.7 mile walk this morning then we went to Home Depot to get stuff for the yard since I got 4 weeks of unemployment.

Debbie-what is the Charolette Tilbury wand you have the bronzer highlighter or blush? If I am going to work at Sephora I need to try some of the products. I have their Best Skin Ever Foundation, some Rare Beauty and the Fenty stuff and Ulta has the Urban Decay Tinted Moisturizer in the 21 Day sale. I have some of their liners.

This morning I did RAW Strength 2 Cardio Acceleration. I had a great workout and love this one. This one is geared more towards a weight lifting workout but she addes intervals of cardio where you should rest. This is a great workout.

Workout was 52 minutes, burned 389 calories, HR was 132/173 and I did 2497 steps. Great workout, loved this one!

LOL on the laundy. I make my kids do their own since about middle school.... but the autistic guy that lives with us can generate piles of laundry. He puts something on and doesn't like it and throws in the basket - and then when he gets anxious he will wet his bed - an then throw his pjs in the basket so everything gets wet. So much laundry from him - I'm glad I don't have to take it down to the river to scrub out! So thankful for automatic washers.

This morning I did lower body by Kaillie Humphries - the bobsledder. So interesting to hear her tell about how not only is it their athletic performance but also how much they have to know about G forces, turns, picking lines, etc. She said they work a lot with Nascar and the Formula One racing team too. The workout was pretty good - she did a new move called Monster Walks which I really liked - almost like walking lunges but with SL DL instead.

Wow, are my Biceps weak feeling!

Debbie, great job with your workout today, that looks like a good one! I use Charlotte Tilbury Tinted Moisturizer and love it. It really is like foundation, which I hate, it cover well with no sight of makeup! Love it! I also use Nars blushes and Chanel lipsticks. I also use IT Cosmetics mascara but do not use it often because I can barely see to put it on, my eyes are so bad even with a magnifying mirror.

Doreen, great workout again, very interesting one's you are finding lately.

Roselyn, great job with the leg workout the other day.

Roxie, good luck with the job interview.

Diane Sue, That is true about boys and laundry! My youngest gets up at 3 am and workouts, then goes to work, then comes home and surfs and then something to sleep in. Oh, and all of those beach towels!!! I hope you get in some good workouts this week.

Belinda, how is Sadie doing lately after that vet visit? My dog is getting really old and starting to move around very slowly lately. Good gob with the workout today.

BBL to read the other posts for the day.
