Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for March 2022!!

Roxie - bummer about your job....

Debbie - hang in there - I imagine the shock. One the partners I work with just lost her husband this week due to a tear in the aorta- almost as fast as your BIL - no time to react.

IFit just announced their April Challenge - a new strength series led by strong men Phil Catudal. 45 min to an hour of just lifting.

Today's workout was a 1 hour walk on the TM uphill, I did a hill mode, traveled 3.2 miles and burned 551 calories. I really like my new watch; it looks exactly like an Apple watch, but it only cost $60. I could care less that it does work like a phone, I would never answer my phone on a watch anyway. The miles were spot on with my TM, just a few steps less so it is pretty accurate but the calorie burn is a tad less than the FitBit but I thought that was high. I am happy with my purchase.

Debbie, great job getting into the gym, it is probably the best thing you can do for yourself along with good sleep. When my brother died when I was 24 years old, I could not function at all for about a year, I was so traumatized, and I cried every day for about 3 years. Grief is tough on one's body so take care of yourself.

Diane Sue, great job on the PT, you are really coming along and getting some strength back.

Roxie, sorry about not getting the job.

BBL to read the posts for the day.

Today I did Michelle Briehler 50 min. Yoga HIIT. That was no joke. It was pretty challenging and my muscles are fatigued. I wish my left arm could support me longer, but its just not happening yet. I see my doctor in a month and I hope my C7 is progressing. It gets a little discouraging.

Good job on the workouts everyone!

Take care of yourself Debbie.

Today I did Raw Cardio Fit HI/Lo warm up clip from Raw and went on to do Burpee Girl Cardio Diet Dance, 42:40 minutes, heart rate 139/170, 3,138 steps. I then did CDorner 10-minute abs no equipment, 13 minutes, 30 calories, 12 steps, heart rate 83/104. Total time 48 minutes, 282 calories, 3,150 steps. I was supposed to have someone come out to fix some sprinkler heads and turn on our sprinklers today. They called this morning and changed to tomorrow. Now I have to get home asap from PT tomorrow for them. I hope they don't change the time again.

Debbie, my thoughts are with you and your husband. Great job with biceps and triceps today.

Roxie, I am sorry you did not get the job at Sephora. I know that you would have enjoyed it.

Cam, yes, I am in less pain. I am sleeping better most nights. Sore today though after two days in a row, more weight work, and some extra things I have done around the house. Plus he pushed to get the arm all the way to where it should be able to go with the stretches and boy did I feel it later. Even my husband mentioned that I am using my arm for a lot more lately. It has been 3 months since surgery. I go to the surgeon in two weeks, and am wondering what he will say. How much more PT he thinks I need. I think most of the pain is stuff that has been going on with my neck well before the shoulder problem. Some of those stretches and moves can be felt up my neck. It gets stiff and painful after I get home and I have to work at that end of it. PT says my traps can cause that too and that area along with scapular area are pulled into the stretches as well. Both sides hurt even though the left is not stretched. I read that most people say they felt completely back to normal by 9 months from surgery.
Were you in a lot of pain after the neck surgery? I have a friend whose husband had some kind of surgery for his neck. I do not know how well it went. I asked her once and she said he was still having problems, but that was a long time ago. They lived next to us and he was up fairly soon taking walks with a neck brace on. I hope that your appointment is encouraging. I am wondering if I will have to do something like that. My mri has narrowing in C4 and C5. C5 and C6 has severe central canal and left neural and foraminal stenosis, C6 and C7 have moderate stenosis. The left side seems to be more severe than the right. You seem to be doing really well, but I understand worrying about the total healing end of it. Most of my stuff revolves around the various forms of arthritis.

Doreen, all weight work sounds like a new challenge to try :)

Jolie, to me if the watch seems close and remains stable without weird ups and downs then I am happy. I love my Garmin. I looked at the Withings and thought about getting it before the Garmin. I know my Withing Scale and blood pressure monitor work great and the Blood pressure monitor was one of the top rated. I use the app with it and it saves my results so I can print them or send them to my cardiologist I need to. Weight goes to my fitness pal and my watch.
I do not talk on my watch. The only thing I have ever done is hit a quick message button back to say later or yes or no if it is a question. Probably have not used that feature in a year. I like the readouts and graphics of the Garmin app and features it has. Nice work on the treadmill today.
