Nighty night lol

Went to my nieces baby shower today and all but one of my sisters were there. Only one brother came, my big brother Alger.n And lots and lots of other nieces! It was sooooooo much fun! Tomorrow I go to the Beach House to paint the rest of the tip out and try to also paint the entry way. Will be back Wednesday. But, before I go will do Gym Style Chest and Triceps. Can't wait!

Michelle, It does sound like you had a very long day. Four hours when you are tired and with an energetic person...perhaps was a bit exhausting for you. Poor thing. Renee seems to always be one step ahead of me. Please tell her hi for me. Great job on High Step Challenge. The rotation Deb did for Summer is awesome. She knows her stuff. You will look and feel awesome as well.

ReneeP, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE Step Heat? So much fun and sweaty too.LOL:D You might also try e-bay for some of Cathe's DVD's. Looks like you will be having a library of Cathe in no time at all. LOL $2.00 is a steal. Way to go! I would love some day to go to a RT, but there are so many other things I want too. Can't have it all I guess.

Laura Girl, How ya doing? Missing you. How was the Star House event?

Take care ladies,

Janie

Janie so glad u had a hreat time at the shower. Hey as much painting as u r doing .. u might should use that as exercise to lol. Ill miss you til wed!

I hope everyone else is great as well.

Back again! Sorry I've been MIA, the girls are back in school this week so things should be more 'normal' but things really pick up at the end of the year....

I can't remember when I last posted but I did my week of STS I'm still on Meso Cycle 1 because I've missed workouts for various reasons. I am on week 3 but feels like week 30! Ha! I did kick Max yesterday! Love that!

No one came to my 6:45 am boot camp class so I did 30 on elliptical and now doing 30 on recumbent bike, I'll be back this evening 4 my 2 classes! Yikes!

I agree no one comes close to Cathe! I haven't heard that many good reviews on Get Ripped so I haven't bought it.... I have HSC but haven't had a chance to try it yet but it looks fantastic!

Michelle are u at the road trip!??!?

Great workouts everyone despite long hours at work, handy man tasks at the beach house and injuries!!!

Hi gang! Well, I'm into week 3 of Fitness Freak's Get Ready for Summer Rotation. It is a tough rotation. We are having a sneak peak on summer here on the east coast--very warm and humid. This morning was probably a prelude to what Ripken and my summer walks are going to be: shorter. My sweet old pup would probably push himself to walk in the humidity until he drops but I won't let him do that. We did a little under a mile this morning and I was happy with that. He cooled down pretty fast once we got back to the house. I did not cool down, but heated up with CaridoSuperSets: 40 minutes of low intensity fun.

So, to save energy, my company turns off the heat/ac on the weekends. We are a tad bit warm here this morning, but I feel like my office is starting to get some cool air working its way around the space. At least I'm dressed in summer pants and top. The men in long sleeve shirts and ties are looking like they are having hot flashes.

Laura: nice to have you back with us. No--I did not go to the Chicago roadtrip. Sister and I are doing the Glassboro roadtrip this summer. It's hard to do the high step workouts when you are doing STS since they are circuit workouts and you need that break with the cardio in your rotation. But at some point, you really need to give it a go.

Janie: you and sister are stuck on those gym style workouts. I believe this is her last week of gym styles. What comes next?

ReneeP: you would think that after the roadtrip, you'd see the scale drop, but I have not experienced that phenomenon. I probably eat a little more than usual at the roadtrip because I am so active. You really have to watch that you don't bottom out. Plus the food is really good.

~michelle

Laura... well my review is it will get boring. Lol

Janie cant wait for you to join us again.

Well no exercise, still trying to recover. I just hope i dont become lazy. I have been doing the ripped but ya kinda stale. I think my eating is crappy a couple days.. gotta get out of that!
Nice to hear from u all! Have good night.

Quick check-in and then back to work. Hanging in there with the Get Ready for Summer rotation. It's mid-week and I'm feeling it, but pushing through. Yesterday was IMAX2 and this morning was Muscle Max. I don't know if I was tired or working hard (maybe both) but at the end during the ab work my core muscles starting quivering. I always take that as a good sign that my muscles are working hard. Tomorrow is high step training. It's a toughie; I hope I make it through.

Hi to everyone. Hope you are getting your licks in.
Michelle

Michelle.. can u see a difference using that rotation?
I don't have much to say today I did get the shot today.. it is just sore still tithe doc said some people will be sore and to ice it. I had read on internet it is a miricle shot.. u feel relief right away. Well I'm I guess I will just realize what doc says it makes it sore for a day for some people. LOL. Ill let u know tomorrow. On a positive note I haven't gained any weight yet so I can relax I guess. I am confused on that. I am eating 1500 calories now but when I was trying to lose I ate 1200 to 1300 and burned 350-600 calories and hadn't lost anything for 6 months. Wt heck?
Have a good night!

Yesterday was a day off. I had to go to court for my accident, they dropped the points but I got a fine. Glad that's over! I am crazy busy trying to get everything organized, cleaned& tagged for the twin sale this Friday. It's an unusually busy week for me with the sale, two evening engagements, and subbing two extra yoga classes, oh and the court date.

Tonight I taught yoga, which was wonderful and my Total Tone class. I am doing a lazy recumbrerant bike ride while I check in & record my workouts.

Michelle: I would love to try to do a road trip next year, maybe you can give me a heads ups when registration is happening I'm so ad about keeping up with that. Wow warm and muggy weather already? It looked like record highs on the news? Sounds lie a good workout rotation by Fitness Freak. Yeah it's hater to get my own workouts in I would prefer to do my own workouts but I like the extra $$$ although the extra $$$ seems to end up in the gas bank. :-(

Renee: did you get a cortisol shot in your foot? That's intense... My mom has been having cortisol shots in her foot for arthritis sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't... Don't know why that is ...hope it heals soon and that your back on your feet in no time!

Greetings and Salutations!!

I've been peaking in every once in a while, thought I should post a little something.

FIRST...GO GO GO! JANIE! I am so proud of you and your gains (or loses-however you want to look at it) You are doing a great job eating right and exercising. I need to get on that bandwagon of yours. I do good with the exercise, not so good with the eating. You are an inspiration and I have been doing better with eating good food not junk. Its difficult, though, in an elementary school. Always some sort of celebration, goodies and snack type stuff around at school. Not so much at home, but I am often tempted, and often fall of that wagon.

ReneeP, yes, Michelle and I are sisters. I have the pleasure of seeing her this weekend. She lives in northern Virginia, and I'm in central/west Virginia...about 3 hours apart. She is another inspiration, and I am thankful to have her in my life. She is a dog freak, and I am a cat freak! Love my kitties! I have a total of 5 house cats, and 5 ferals....yep, 10! I love them all! ;)

I have one more week of Gym Style and then I move onto the Low Impact Series for two weeks. I am NOT looking forward to that...I don't see how that is kinder and more gentle on your joints...especially KNEES! But I will do what I can and perhaps learn to like more then just the step dvd, which I like, but its challenging....yet fun. I do not like yoga, and the slide and glide takes it out of me. But perhaps if I was in shape like I was two years ago, I'd feel different...who know!! Its been almost a year since my ACL surgery. I guess I'm doing pretty good but not as good as I would like.

BTW, after reading about you all doing STEP HEAT, I had to do it too! I don't like the first half...its so "cheerleader" like. Icky poohpy! But I do like the second and third step routine only to finish with that "funky step cool down"...eh, thats alright too, but not my favorite. My favorite step routines are from BodyMax2, and Low Impact Circuit...oh, and of course, LowMax and Rhythmic Step. What is your favorite?

Work...work!

~Renee~

Sun. before I left for the beach I did Gym Style chest and triceps. Mon, Tue, and Thurs Rolly and I speed walked. It was great. Last night, I did Gym Style Legs. OMG! I still have it, but O my it was hard! Almost kept up with Cathe, just couldn't do a few towards the end, but that's OK, I can tell I did fine. Today I'm waiting for DOM's, but perhaps I'll get them tomorrow. It's really nice to be home and back on the computer with my cyberspace buddies.;)

Michelle, Great job on yesterday's IMAX2 and this morning's MM. I've never had my core quiver. Hmmmmm, maybe I should work harder? I think that's a good sign you are working very hard. Good for you.

ReneeP, I sure hope the shot works for you. You poor thing!!!!! I don't understand why weight reacts to that kind of calories and workouts. Hmmmmmm:confused:. It happens though, I know, but not for 6 months. I wonder what's going on? That has got to be very frustrating. Hang in there.

Tonight I taught yoga, which was wonderful and my Total Tone class. I am doing a lazy recumbrerant bike ride while I check in & record my workouts.

Laura, So sorry you got a fine.:( The sale sounds like a lot of work and fun too. Hope all goes well for you this weekend and you make lots and lots of money. What did you do on the two evening engagements? Wow and also subbing two yhouga classes. You have been a busy bee. Maybe next week will be normal? Whatever that is. LOL;)

Rennee, Thank you for your wonderful support. It means the world to me. I'm glad I can inspire anyone. I love that we are doing the same rotation, that way I know what to expect, from you posting of it. It's a great heads up! It's been a year since your ACL surgery? Time is flying by sooooo fast. I think you are doing great. Give it a year and a half and I know you will be back to normal. With my surgery (xplants) it took me that long to feel myself back again. If that makes since.

Take care ladies and have a good day.

Janie

Hi Renee I don't have a lot of time to post. But wanted to say.. I am from WV! And it is so nice to meet you. Did you grow up there?

I am going to try and get back tomorrow. I have not had a lot of luck on the shot. I'm soon frustrated. I feel I'm to young to feel like this..

Hope everyone has a great night. Tomorrow is another day! I'm gonna try to do something tomorrow.

Today I did Gym Style back, shoulders and biceps. Amazing! What can I say? I'm using lower weight compared to the STS workouts, however I am going to failure and that's good. If it wasn't for this extra skin you get when you age, I just might see more extra muscle in my arms. That extra skin is nasty! :(

ReneeP, Hang in there, I know it's frustrating. Keep venting to us and eventually all will be well again. Just don't ever give up. I still think time is your best bet, but you know your body and what it can take.

See you all soon,

Janie

Hi everyone--I have made it through the 3rd week of Fitness Freak's Get Ready for Summer rotation. This is not an easy rotation, that is for sure. One more week. I have to keep thinking: I can do it, I can do it....Sister is visiting this weekend. She did her GS Chest and Triceps workout while I did yard work this morning. I think we both managed to work up a good sweat. Right now she is attending a wedding of one of her past students from when she lived and taught up here. It is nice to have her here.

Not much else going on. I just got off the phone with my friend Janet's husband. She was sleeping so I chatted with him for a while. Things are still not good and she is not going to get better. It is a matter of time--could be days, weeks, or months. Only the good Lord knows. I just know that I have been very lucky to have her as my friend--she is a truly extraordinary person. Probably the smartest, most knowledgeable, and caring person I know. Think Shadowpup smart and then some.

I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend. Think I might go walk Ripken again and then relax on the front porch.
~michelle

Happy Weekend! I just got from picking up what didn't sell at the twin sale, we got rid of a lot of stuff & made some $! Yippee! I am going to let the girls update their room with a fresh new style more age appropriate for them now! It should be fun.

I havent worked out like I wanted to with all that going on, but I should be back on track tomorrow! I did enjoy subbing the yoga classes and made the plunge today and signed up for an online yoga teacher training. It is not the best of the best but it is affordable and will give me the credentials I need to officially teach yoga.

Hi Renee (Catchick) so nice to hear from you! How cool to be visiting your sister. I think your rocking it! I too still haven't gotten a handle on the clean eating...going super strict this week! We CAN do it!

Renee I am sorry your foot isn't getting better hang in there and don't give up

Janie did I ever say how cool it was to get that email with your picture on it from Cathe?? AWESOME:D:D:D:D

Michelle: that is so sad about your dear friend! It is hard to witness the end of someone you love life.... ((((HUGS))))

Renee and Michelle I am so glad you two can hang out togther! lol I say this becasue i have five sisters, and none of them can be together long without fighting.. so sad. I am the only one that they all seem to get along with. Sad part is they all talk bad about each other, well tell me why this one gets on there nerves and blah blah and i agree in my head at times, but I think wow this is crazy. I didnt grow up with them they are all 6 years or older then me and i was taken away at age 9 so i really dont relate to them to well, i just think they all have issues, as well as i do. I think it is so sad because i know my moms last wish was for us all to get closer.

So what rotation is it that has Gym styles? How do you do that just gym styles for so many weeks or do you add cardio to? I did get gym style legs. Have not got to do it much maybe two times now.

I planted tomatoes, cleaned sheets, laundry, helped work on the kitchen with hubby. mowed a little patch of grass. No exercise today. I jogged yesterday and it hurt after, but today im surprised not to bad! I still feel a "PULLING" att eh back of my heel to the ball of the foot now. I dont get that but ill take it instead of limping. I will try to jog tomorrow or i will do a Cathe video..
It is great to hear from everyone.

Janie I just hate venting on and on at times! I feel im new on this thread and i keep saying negitive things about my foot. But i cant say it is reall great when it isnt. I just feel at times im falling apart and i dont like to tell my family they worry for me if i did. They saw my real mom go down hill fast. I am so scareed now because it does seem like my hands are hurting and my feet, I keep praying it isnt RA that is how it started with my mom in her wrist. I got the RA blood work it came back neg and im so glad. But then i wonder why do i ache like im in my 70s im only 42 and i feel older this is why i started exercising to make it better. I hate to hear the complaining if some one wont do somethin about it. So I try to keep going. I do hope i can say something good when i get on here. I promise im not always like this. lol

Im usualy laughing and being silly i am the commedian of my family. Just hard to laugh lately. I think too it has taken a long time to recover from my moms death, I feel it really took a toll on me. Not just the losing her, but i took care of her for two years her home and her and i worked i was in NG and i went to school with hardly no help. I feel stil tired, i have not been the same yet, it has been alittle over a year already and it feels like yesterday. I miss her so much. But it was so overwhelming as well. I deal with guilt but also missing her, and think of what i could have done may be to ease her pain more. I keep busy to stop thinking of it. Very hard transition. EVERy day for two years she was on my mind part of my life 24/7

as a child i missed her to had to say good bye at 9 years old and only talk to her by phone. We were close and i hated to be away from her.

Did 30/30 tonight. Joey and I will be leaving tomorrow for the beach house right after my exercises. Won't be back until Wednesday. Will miss you all. Rolly and I (weather permitting) will speed walk the beach.

ReneeP, This is the place to vent. It's a great outlet and we are here for each other. Don't worry, vent away, we have our days and need it. I'm also the peace keeper in my family. It's a hard job but somebodies got to do it. I've had a hard time with my mom's passing of Alzheimer's a little over two years ago and keep wondering when I do something stupid as usual (which is normal for me) if I have what she does. You tested negative, so stop worrying about it. You poor thing, things will be OK. Give it some time. Sounds like you did a lot of homemax. LOL Good for you. Keeping busy has it's rewards.

I'm just giving advice on things I would do, but you know your body much better than me. Do what is best for you emotionally and physically. My sister took care of my mom and I was so proud of her. You as the care giver of your mom I'm sure you also did the best you could. We will always blame some things on ourselves and wished we could have done better. But, I think you are in a phase of healing from your mom's death, and that also takes time.

I can't imagine what you had to endure to be separated from your mom from such a young age. I think I would have died! You have been so brave.

Many hugs to you dear friend while you are going through so many things at once. I'll be thinking positive energy your way.

Take care,

Janie

Michelle, Do what you have to do to keep in touch with Janet before the time comes that you can't. Send her flowers, a message...she might like that. I've never lost a friend, I have so few of them, but I count my family as friends. So far we are doing OK. (((((Hugs to you!))))) You are going through something so awful. Sending you good vibes. Do you need another piece of jewelry? It would be my pleasure if I can help in any way to calm your heart.

Laura, I bet your girls are thrilled to update their bedroom. Congrats on signing up for being a yoga teacher and being closer to getting your yoga credentials. Wish (I know I've said this before) I could be in one of your classes. Thank you for your support on my April spotlight. It's really cool!
