Getting Our Licks In!

A change of plans, I will be staying here and Joey will be going to the Beach House tomorrow. There isn't anything for me to do until Joey does some more work over there. Then I can do the last job of painting of one more room, the living room. Can not wait! This morning I did GS chest and triceps. Man oh man! Glad that's behind me. It was a love hate workout this morning.:)

Quick check in--did a medium walk with Ripken this morning and then Drill Max. Tough--but fun--workout. I thought is was an hour workout, but it was more like 75 minutes. A little extra doesn't hurt.

I'll try to get back later for personals.

I tried back to basic today i did cathe basic step n did upper body. Not to bad on my foot. I figure something is better then nothing.

Laurae you Rock! I used to dream of being aerobics instructor when I lost weight .. WMCA was gonna help me but I moved that was 20 yes ago. I should have done it because it could Have prevented me from gaining it back. Like motivated me more.
My feet are burning now! I don't know. Ice here I come

ReneeP, I have forgotten about basic step and upper body on that DVD. Good for you. Hope you continue to have less pain in your foot. Gym Style Chest and Triceps is 48 min. It's a good one.

so short and sweet... I did STS Meso Cycle 2 for Chest Shoulders and Tri's!! I Love meso 2 ...well any Meso other than Meso 1!!:eek: and taught my beginner pilates class.. When I came up stairs a woman was asking for more of my classes so I might be adding another...

Oh sorry about that. Lol. I'm 42 I know what you mean... about feeling the age. I keep wondering ..how in the world Catherine Freidrich does of. She's is a little older then us right?
Well today I'm going to try to do a walk jog thing. I hope I can enjoy it. Once I get jogging I'm OK for a while. Its close to the end and after when I suffer. I wonnder if I keep going and try to ignore the pain.. will it get better eventually or will it rip completely? I used to hear pain is all in ur head ! LOL but wish that were actually true. I'd be healed by now. LOL
 
Enjoying a manicure- pedicure! :). Also got my brows groomed & tinted so feeling spruced up! Tonight I teach my Total Tone class and might do some cardio before or after. Tomorrow I'm taking two girl friends over to my timeshare in Breckenridge for the day. They have in door outdoor hot tubs, steam room, sauna so I'm going to just relax and enjoy! I'm feeling like spoiling myself! Hey why wait - or think some one else should do it for me -& be dissatisfied! Right?

I bought a bunch of pre-made salads for lunch tomorrow so I don't have to spend a million dollars on a hamburger or have to stress about making something!

Yesterday I did Gym Style Legs. Every time I do them I get nauseous towards the end and it lasts the rest of the night. Wonder why? I know I give it my all until failure, but... I've heard of this through the Biggest Loser, but is it true, or did I just eat a little too much melon during dinner? I waited 4 hours before I did the exercises. Hmmmm

Laura, I hate when I lose a post. Bummer! Great job on Meso 2, chest, shoulders and triceps. I love Meso 2 too!:D Also good for you teaching your beginners class. Bet it feels good to have someone want to learn under you. Good for you! I remember 40, wait until you reach your 60's.:confused:

Laura, OOOOO, lovely. I had a manicure once. Very nice. Never thought about tinting my eyebrows. Hmmmmm, I only have a tine amount of eyebrows and they are peach fuzz, if any. I usually draw my eyebrows in.LOL:D What a life. Enjoy it, you deserve it.

I'm going to PT may9 for the foot. I did jog but only 25 minutes. It Burns now don't understand all that.
I actually need to get my brows thined LOL. I hate them bushy feeling. I mean It actually feels like weight on my brows if I let them get to bushy LOL.

You both are doing so well on ur workouts. Wtg
 
Hi ladies. I apologize for being MIA. Crazy week. Tuesday was an early and long day--no exercise, but of course, Ripken and I got our walks in. Wednesday I did Intensity, step and low impact premix. Today was powerhour. I really need to do powerhour more often. That's a great total body weight workout.

Sounds like everyone is staying busy. It's nice to have Laura checking in again. I'm going to try to clean up my act and get back on track with daily checkins. This is like my 5 minutes of sanity lately. Good time to take a deep breath and exhale.

I now know what it was that got me nauseous. Usually I eat about 5 shrimp with another protein for a meal, but I was extra hungry for some reason and ate about 8 or so of just shrimp again yesterday. Yep, too many for my GERD. GERD dictates how much to eat, and what to eat. I'm just glad that I figured it out. It's not hard to since I'm so limited on food. That's OK. I feel extremely grateful for that knowledge. Most people try to figure it out all their suffering days. It wasn't a rest day but will catch up today and tomorrow. Will post what I did later tonight.
I finally have DOM's in my legs. Started feeling them last night and woke up with them this morning. Yea! Not failing the toilet seat though.
Will be going to the Beach House this Sun.. Joey just called and did his thing so I can now paint the last room. The Living Room! Yea! Then onto flooring. We decided not to have carpets. You'll see, it will be lovely.

ReneeP, I think going to a personal trainer for your foot is a great idea. They might have an idea on how to workout the workouts you want to badly to do. Crossing my fingers for you. You are lucky you still have your eyebrows. Mine are gone. I have to paint in my eyebrows.:confused: Great job on your 25 in jog. I also wonder what the burning sensation is. Hmmmm.

Michelle, Great job on the walk with Ripken. How is that old boy of ours? Also great job on Wedn. for Intensity, step & low impact pre. and today's PH. An oldie and certainly a goody.

Janie that is wonderful on being sore! I just love that feeling. When I was younger I used to get it all the time and loved it! I get joint soreness more now LOL.

Yes Michelle you are doing great if u do intensity I tried it once and got threw step portion only I think. That's hard to me.

Well yesterday I did lowimpact step then upper body. Today I jogged again slash walk for 47 minutes. I got to burn 418. Calories ...not too bad. My foot isn't burning today. Not hurting like it was either.. crossing my fingers!

Tonight was Gym Style Back, Shoulders and biceps. I kept up pretty much with Cathe, except falling short on a few reps sometimes. Not too shabby.:D

ReneeP, Most likely will not post any pics from the BH until more work is completed. There are floors still need to put in the living room, tip, kitchen and Computer/reading room. Still lots to do. Great job on yesterdays, Low Impact Step and upper body. And also for today's jogg /walk for 47 min. You burned a lot of calories and not hurting. Good! Let's hope it stays that way. I'm crossing my fingers too.

I think I did not check in yesterday--it was another busy day. Yesterday, I did Low Impact Circuits and today was Body Max 2 Cardio only premix. Both good workouts. Tomorrow I do Yoga Relax and then I try to figure out what I'm going to do for May. Hopefully Cathe will post a May rotation tomorrow.

ReneeP: I agree with Janie, going to PT for your foot may be just the trick. Can't hurt. Plantars fasciitis is a tough malady. Are you doing stretches with the foot? I suffered with PF a few years ago and found that doing foot stretches in the morning and through the day really helped.

Janie: congratulations on having DOMS in your legs. Sister finished the GS workouts and started the Low Intensity Series today. She has a tough time with the LIS workouts. They challenge her knee and she feels like if she was in a little better shape, they would be easier. I recommended that she focus on getting the moves down and use 5 pound weights for Afterburn and CardioSuperSets. I did that the first few times until I got the movements correct. Better to have good form than not.

Not much else going on. Just the normal weekend routine. Kind of a cool day. DH and I are supposed to clean out the garage tomorrow. We'll see. It has to be done because we are getting new garage doors on Wednesday.;)

Jane that is good on gym styles .. u never said how it is. I mean is it like three sets of each one or is like paromids

Michelle u did two of my favorite workouts! I lo e the music in both. I jogged 4 miles today. Actually it was a little over four. I think tomorrow I'm gonna do kickmax.. one I haven't tried yet. I hope I will be able to walk tomorrow LOL. So far so good!
 
For some reason was really sleepy today. Didn't do a cardio. Weather permitting will do it at the beach tomorrow extra long. Of course will do chest and triceps before I leave for the beach.

Michelle, Great job on LIC, a good one, and for today's BM2 cardio only premix. I bet I also will have a tough time with the Low Impact series. But can't wait to get there. I'll do my best. I think your advice on these workouts are great. So important to have good form.

ReneeP, Gym Styles are two and three sets each with 12+ (depending on the exercise and where in the program you are) reps and Cathe counts on two up and then two down. Then hardly any rest in-between (just seconds) before you start another set, so these workouts are very very tough. My body is acclimating to it very quickly, so I'm looking forward to the Low Impact Series that is next on the list. I'm sure my body won't acclimate as easy with those.:confused: Can't Wait! LOL:D Challenges challenges. Update: I just did Chest and triceps. My body is not acclimating to these though. Wow it was hard. LOL

Very busy day today--gorgeous spring weather here too! Did yoga relax this morning and now I am officially done with the Get Ready for Summer rotation. I am hoping that Cathe posts a May rotation but if she does not, I am going to use one of her LIS rotations that she posted in January. DH and I cleaned out the garage today. Had to be done because we are getting new garage doors on Wednesday. Wasn't too bad of a job and with both of us working together, it did not take a horribly long time.

Janie: enjoy your time at the beach house! We will miss you but look forward to your return.

ReneeP: you didn't mention any foot pain in your post, so either you forgot or you didn't have any. I hope it was the later. Maybe you have finally turned the corner with your foot.

Looking at another busy week at work. It's been a nice restful weekend though and I'm feeling refreshed. We'll see how long that lasts--LOL!

Hi.. sorry I didn't check in. I did not exercise yesterday. I cleaned best I could around the kitchen still tore up. LOL DH came home yesterday so I made supper. I did do yard work as well. DH was sipose to b in training this week but since they are so close to home he came home. It was nice.
Yes my foot hurt some the other day but not like it did. I don't want to be to excited yet LOL. I still feel little pain today so I'm hoping to that things r turning around. Way better then before where I couldn't even stand on it.
