Getting Our Licks In!

Tonight was Double Wave Pyramid HiiT. Whew! Talk about a red beet face at the end. Loved it!

ReneeP, You can PM me as often as you like. I have preosteopnea and it's not impossible to improve on it as long as you know about what to do. I think you can even improve more than you have already with osteopnea. It may take longer but I think it's doable. I use to love cardio more than lifting weight then I loved lifting weight more, now I love both. Can't do without either one of them. LOL:D Circuit workouts do take both into consideration. I'll be doing enough of those in about 2 weeks. My rotation at that time will be Low Impact Series for two weeks. Can't Wait! It's hard with children sometimes for sure. My daughter hardly ever sees me, that's difficult, but when they have bad habits it has to be so tough. You have my sympathy.:( As Michelle, says, "follow your heart". That's the best advice I can give you too.

Michelle, Sounds like a lovely weekend. Great job on walking Ripken and doing Cardio Supersets.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Janie I. Been doing some of the low Impacct series. It seems to help with getting. Hr up but don't bother my feet. Today I Ran 4 miles Foot sore but ice it some. I shall do it more in a bit. I pulled weeds out of flower bed. I had replanted my moms rose bushes In my yard before she past. She wanted me to get as much of them as I could. I couldn't afford to keep her Home and she moved in with me. She was happy to see at least the hard work she put into her plants was not wasted. Now evverytime I see her roses I think of her love and how she made anything grow.

Happy Sunday ladies. Today was supposed to be a rest day but I have to get up early tomorrow to go into work early so I did Monday's workout today--Lower body trisets--and tomorrow will be a rest day. I'm waiting on some laundry to finish in the washing machine, then I'll pop it in the dryer and head out to run my errands for the afternoon. I'm even going to brave the grocery store--which ya'll know is not my thing.

ReneeP: your mama must be smiling down from heaven on you as you work her plants in your garden. That's so neat. I'm sure that it makes you feel more connected to her too. I'd like to get in my garden to weed but we've gone from rock hard dry ground and no rain to sopping wet ground and more rain than we probably need at one time. Oh well. At least my lawn looks good. The Scotts Halts that I put down a couple of weeks ago has really done the trick. I'm sorry that you are having struggles with one of your children. Don't feel shy about venting or sharing with us. We are here to support you.

Janie: ah--double wave pyramid--great workout. Best part, it's a 30 minute workout because it is tough, tough, tough.

Michelle

Michelle I appreciate that. I don't mind talking to you ladies at all. I feel like talking on here is a stress releiver at times. I have NO friends here. I can't seem to find any friends I can relate to or something. My husband says I'm a magnetic for people who will use me LOL
It has seemed that way. But on here u guys seem to really be genuine. I mean a lot of times I also don't have a lot of time to put into a friend ship. Bad to say?
Well on this forum I seem to have more in common with and you guys don't seem CRAZY. You seem normal! Not what I run into. LOL Great job on upper trisets.
Janie I still can't get over 50 punds! Inner theighs. Woo. And double peromid. Holly cow I here that is hard. Well time for work tomorrow. Hit the daily grind LOL. Literally at
my Job. Lol

Feeling like jello! Tonight was GS back, shoulders and biceps. Whew!

ReneeP, Great job on your 4 mile run. Glad you iced your foot, good thinking as always. You are reminding me of my poor garden that also needs to be weeded. Oh how wonderful to have something like beautiful roses bushes from your Mom. What a wonderful thing and a wonderful memory. Bless your heart.

Michelle, Great job on Lower Body trisets. Now you have to rest tomorrow.;) Hope your errands don't take to long for ya and you can get home quickly to relax a little.

ReneeP
, Thank you for your complements. I do appreciate the kind words. I am working harder than ever before and I love it. Hope your week at work is good for you.

Laura and Renee, How ya doing?

Janie

Good evening everyone. Quick check-in before getting ready for bed. Full day at work but feeling a little anxious about Ripken's surgury tomorrow. DH and I will take him to the vet first thing in the morning at 7am. We have used this veternarian for many years and he is wonderful but this is still my sweet pup that we are dealing with here. I know it may seem silly, but little Rippy is like my baby and I just will feel better when this is done and he is home.

ReneeP: I do not make friends easily either. I don't attract weirdos, I just don't attract alot of friends. I am a fairly strong personality and have a tendency to speak my mind. Janet always used to say that one of my best qualities was that I tell it like it is. Unfortunately, I think most people do not appreciate that as much as she did. I think the great thing about this forum is that we all share a love for exercise and fitness. These are such positive things that they help reinforce all the other stuff that goes on and color our interactions and communications here in a positive way. And I think many of us are challenged to dedicate time to friendships. Life always seems so dang busy. My few minutes here every day or so is reaffirming and relaxing. I'm glad you are with us. And you tell your DH you have finally found friends who are not weird--at least not in cyberspace--LOL!

~michelle

wow so much seems to be going on....family stuff, PUPPY SURGERY oh my, I will have to go back a little further for more details...:(

Today was three great classes and privates...

Yesterday was CLEAN MAX! and seemed like I hardly made a dent, before heading to Boulder to see my mother's sister who is visiting from Australia, we went to a art festival on the Pearl Street Mall and had dinner at my mom's afterward.

Saturday was school functions and girl time so no workout

Friday did about 85% of STS legs before I had to scoot over the girls beautiful May Pole dance at school, as 5th graders they don't do the dance but they play the music.

Thursday I took my girls to the Rec and ran-waldked the track with them..

so busy, busy, busy

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and words. I have known since January that my dear friend Janet was not going to be with us much longer. She was in alot of pain at the end and it is a blessing that she did not suffer any longer. I will always have her in my heart and I will always have those little nuggets of life that she shared and taught me--that is what is important.

My Joe has taken Ripken to the vet this morning. Time for his yearly checkup plus he has a growth on his eyelid that needs to be removed. It's very humid here this week so our walks are not as long. Yesterday was LIS-Low Impact Challenge and today swas STS total body. Off to Quantico shortly--been there every day this week, but that is okay.

Janie: your beach house looks wonderful. You guys are almost all set to just plop down, relax, and enjoy. All that hard work will bring you days of much happiness. I especially love the pictures of the beach. I could hear the waves on the shore all the way from Virginia.

Laura: ebay is having a coach outlet sale. I checked it out yesterday but the website was being persnickity. Will try again shortly.

ReneeP: you are so right that cancer can be devastating and so unfair.

Time to push on with the day. Love and hugs to all of you!
~michelle

Michelle I think some retail therapy is exactly what you need! Did you get a purse? I hope surgery goes well tomorrow for your sweet pup!

Hi Janie... I want gym styles now LOL. Yes I have been diagnosed with osteopnea already. I was 37 when diagnosis happened I as n basic training when I got a stress fracture in my hip.so when I went to regular doc they did bone density test. He wanted me on fosimax but Ive heard after five years women will get broken Femurs. So he told me to get bit d and calcium I've been doing that for bout four years. Last Bone scan was a slight better density! Whoohooo LOL. And I have added weight lifting to my regemin as well. I don't enjoy it as much as I do cardio. I think that's y I like circuit workouts. Gives me cardio w the benifits of bone building. I want to do weight lifting but like I said it kills the joints. So I'm trying to lift heavier. I'm also taking cosimin for joints. Just started that.
Yes I've been dealing with my youngest on and off since he turned 18. He is 21 moved out at 18. He wants to not stay home cause he thinks r rules are to strict. But really he has habits that are bad and I wont allow here. So he'd rather live away. But I still worry. His life is going no where. I just wonder when did my boy loose who he really is or what he could be. Sad. I will pm you when I get to computer if u don't mind.

I am very sorry to hear your struggle, so hard when someone we love makes bad choices, but there really isn't anything you can do. Just let him know you love him and want the best for him.... (((((HUGS)))))

Oh Michelle it does NOT sound weird. My dog is also like my baby! Completely understand. I will pray for the big fella! I think also it is refreshing to have someone speak there mind! So much better then one who speaks out of both sides of there mouth LOL. I stay quite unless someone ask my opinion LOL then I make sure they know they might not like what ill say... and r u sure u want to hear it. LOL lots of times they don't like it. But gee if u don't want to know.. don't ask. LOL. U have said very kind words. I to am glad to be here. :)

Laura how in the world are youdoind STD and classes wow. You r busy. Glad to hear from u again. Ur right all I can do is love him. He stays away so much its hard to show him. He so young such a shame .. if he makes bad choices it can ruin his life..that's my problem tho I have hard time letting go. I have been but I know in the end it seems the mother ends up with broken heart.
Well rest day for me...but I OVER ate. LOL eww I hate when I do that to myself. Gawd then I wonder y I can't lose the weight. Wow ! LOL. I wonder Hmmm.

Did the Wedding Video tonight for my cardio.

Michelle, Hoping our Ripken baby goes through surgery with flying colors. He'll be OK.

Laura, Great job on classes and privates, yesterday's Clean MAX. Oh I would have loved to go see that Art Festival!:) Also the walk on Thursday ran-walked on the track. Good for you. Great job on Friday's 85% STS legs. They're hard aren't they? Whew!

ReneeP and Renee
how ya guys doing?

Janie

Laura I hope u have a great day today... u r solo busy!

Well classes went well last night, today I got to the gym early to do my own lifting (STS Meso Cycle 1 Week 4 Back and Triceps) taught my class, finished up my own workout, ran off to Boulder for a private that cancelled......:p:confused::( SO... had some unexpected free time and not at home to do the bazillion things not getting done so I went for an awesome 2 hour hike instead! Grabbed the girls...home for snacks than back out the door for violin lessons, dinner is in the making now and girls are riding their bikes since their homework is done!

PHEW!

My schedule is crazy this whole month! I will check in when I can

Renee: spinning might be a better option for your foot and I LOVE the sauna!

Janie: did someone mention pics! I must have missed them! I saw some really cool paper beads at one of the vendors on Sunday & thought of you

Michelle: worried about you and your sweet pup! Please let us know that Ripkin is ok and you are too!

Tonight was Gym Style Legs. Yep, got sick. It's the GERD. Did you all see the newsletter. That's what's happening.:( The good news is I'm done with the Gym Styles (phase 2) now for phase 3. Low Impact series for two weeks. I'll start them not this Wed. but the next one. I can't wait! But Thursday I'm going to add in STS Total Body because Cathe didn't give me any time for active recovery but I'm taking it anyway and in the mean time Joey and I will go to the beach on Thur. and work and run on the beach until next Wed. More good news. Joey found out he can hitch a ride on Wi-Fi with our internet over there. I can stay in touch with you all. Yea!

Michelle, How's are Ripken doing?:(

ReneeP
, Let us know how you love YMCA and the spinning also sauna and want to also know what your PT advice for you on your foot.

Laura, Great job on STS Meso Ccle 1 week 4, back & Triceps. Also for teaching your class. Wish people would let you know if they need to cancel. I feel for you. Oh, Love the sound of a 2 hour hike. Good for you! My gosh you are busy. Still not done and went to violin lessons, (for you?) and making dinner. Whew is right! Thank you for taking the time to post to us. I do appreciate it. Hopefully things will calm down sometime soon. There is only 6 more weeks of school left, right? OOOOO, wished I could have seen the paper beads with you. Were they just wonderful?

Take care,

Janie

UGH--just lost a long post. No time to rewrite. Bottom line: Ripken is fine. He has been resting all day; I'm at work. Guess which one of us will be tired tonight?
~michelle

Michelle I'm happy ripkin is fine. I had to dagger mine for her shots today.
Janie what rotation were you doing? I didn't go to the Y yet. That is y I don't pay for gym I never know if ill make it.
Laura I sure hope u get some rest.
I did 4 DS.... I did two premix botrh
Upper body. 60 min I lifted pretty heavey to I can feel tightness in back already ..

Tried to do 40/20. Got through 20 min., man that one is hard. Better than nothing I guess. I just love the steps in the beginning. I could do that all day. Wait, that's not the point is it? LOL:rolleyes: Although the leg work I did yesterday might also have something to do with it.

Michelle,
So glad our Ripken is doing fine. Was thinking of you and him all day long and today as well.

ReneeP,
I'm doing a rotation that Cathe gave me in Jan. I'm half way through it. Great job on 4DS premixes. Sounds like you did a fantastic job lifting those heavy weights.

Hi Laura, how ya doing? Busy I bet.

Janie
