Getting Our Licks In!

Hello all I did some jogging again today, and upper body work with cathes 4 day split.. It was nice. The heaviest weights i have are 10 pounds on the dumbells. I do have a barbell but i only have 40 pounds on that. But any how when she does the lats i use a 10 pound and 5 pound in my hand.. and i do this threw out the workout. Im not sure what size to buy next. 12 or 15 or 2o?

Janie: Dang you can lift! I was always from the old school of lifting light and more reps but i am trying to get into the heavier. As far as DOMS I to dont get the DOMS like i did before, I mean for me it is when i was younger Id get sore and i loved it! But now seems only DOMS i get is Joint soreness a very big difference in the feeling there I think. I shall name this DOJS lol. Oh no problem about talking to Michelle. I hate to see or know someone is hurting. We all need it sometimes, just someone to listen or send you a heart felt hug.

Michelle: No im not really getting ready for Easter not much to do to do that. I was cleaning some today I have alot of that to do.. I just never have the energy to clean like i want to it seems. I am not lazy for sure or maybe im becomming lazy. lol I just hate it becasue i can clean the kitchen the go to anoterh room and start go back to the kitchen and some how it is a mess again. I need to do some deep cleaning on my house for sure.. I can clean it really good my problem is putting things in its place. Also my thing is i can not decorate. I know it sounds funny but i was actualy raised in foster homes and group homes and in group homes they did not allow things on the walls it was dress right dress like military. And You already was told what goes where you had only so much space for things. Now as an adult i never could put pics up and it look right or put things in its place because i cant find a "HOME" for everything, does that make since? there i go gabbing gabbing on and on lol ... sorry Hope you enjoy your walk Michelle! Oh btw I have not done the slide and glide because i cant get the hang of the disk in the other workouts so I figured why try it?? I hope to get the other dvd's down better then maybe try SNG I also feel it in my knees. I think maybe im not positioning my self correctly. ..

Well I know i so enjoyed my run today.. im icing my foot now.. tomorrow is rest day for the feet again. Have a great FRIDAY ALL !!!

Will be going to the beach on Sun.(after my exercises) and will return on Thursday or Friday, see you all when I get back. We have lots of work to do and I'm on my active recovery and will do lots of Cardio Coach on the beach.

Michelle, We are having good weather today in spite the 28 degrees this morning. I cleaned inside the house. Great job on S&G. Enjoy your second walk with Ripken.

ReneeP, Great job on jogging today and upper body 4 day split. My advice on getting weight, get all the weight you can. You'll need them.:)

Today is such a beautiful day Rolly and I went to the Huff and Puff Trail. That is the actual name for this trail. LOL We did huff and puff a fast pace walk.

Here is a photo of me pressing 65#'s. Man am I Grey and wrinkled, but hey, I'm healthy. I sent this in to Cathe for a success story on STS. Got 15% off of something right away. That was cool.

Happy Easter everyone. I got so much done yesterday that I am taking it easy today. I scrubbed the front porch yesterday--got all the winter dirt cleaned up, even did the windows and screens. Cleaned up the porch furniture and parked my butt in a chair with my kindle and my pup at my feet. Probably will do that again later today. Did Step Blast yesterday and today is a rest day. Gearing up for the second week of Fitness Freak's get ready for summer rotation. Trying to do some tidying up in my home office. Have a pile of stuff on the floor that I need to shred (that is next after my post). It is amazing how much paper just piles up. I'm trying not to keep as much as I used to.

Janie: Love the pictue of you lifting weights. What a great picture. You know the grey is easily taken care of if you want and I don't see the first wrinkle in that picture.

Renee: I hear you on the cleaning. I just try to keep up with the basics and every once in while I open a closet and just do a major clean out. I have a bunch of flower pots in the garage that I haven't used in ages and I'm taking those to Goodwill, next trip. That will probably be next weekend. Never does seem to be enough time to get everything done, does it? Sister is coming to visit in a couple of weekends so I'm trying to get my office, the guest bathroom, and guest bedroom in order.

I moved around so much yesterday, poor Ripken was exhausted last night. He just feels the need to hang right with me. Trying to let the pup sleep today. He is snoring away in the corner of my office right now.

Happy Easter! Unfortunately my daughter Eliza isn't feeling well! Which makes things a little more mellow. Bo and Sophia are at an Easter tea whie I stay home with Eliza. The girls are at that awkward age for holidays where their no as excited by things that used to amaze them so they are
 
Left feeling a little disappointed. But we had lovely Easter Baskets this morning & a small egg hunt at our place. I had y Star House event this weekend so no exercise this weekend, but that's ok because tomorrow I am subbing a class so I will have a total of 4 classes! Ugh! :-|
 
Hi a quick hello and happy easter to all of you. I have been busier today then yesterday. But i had a nice day anyway. I had both boys home and helping us. We are knocking walls down and making are kitchen bigger. Then we took time to eat and enjoy the day. Have alot more to do still. Have goodnight all
 
Hi everyone. Busy day. Nice to see that everyone got a chance to check-in over the weekend. Is it just me or are Mondays hard? Little Rippy and I had a nice long walk this morning. Then I did Athletic Training--the cardio at the beginning of that workout really makes me sweat--and then Cathe does the cardio/weight circuits which really gets the water flowing. Cathe did portions of Athletic Training at the Glassboro Roadshow last summer. I thought it was hard then and we only used 1 riser. You go to 2- and 3-risers and it really ups the intensity. Really good stuff.

ReneeP: remodeling the kitchen--lots of work, but everyone of my neighbors who has remodeled their kitchen says it is so worth the mess and inconvenience. Are you rearranging appliances and cabinets too?

Laura: sorry to hear that Eliza was under the weather this past weekend. Hope she is feeling better. 4 classes in one day--oh boy--sounds like fun.

Michelle we are putting in cabinets, and flooring and knocking walls down makeing it bigger. I have a new stove already and the rest of the appliances are still good condition.. maybe next year on that lol. I think i will love it.. but yes the mess is a mess! But i will be patient, thanks for reminding me it will be worth it! I needed that reminder! I was getting irritated about all the mess and inconvenience of it all then i read your post!! lol thanks

Happy Tuesday everyone! Early morning--medium walkout with the pup and then Rhythmic Step. Feeling very happy today. I talked to my friend Janet yesterday. She was up to talking for a short bit. Her daughter was married this past weekend and Janet was able to garner her energy to attend and do all the things the mother of the bride is supposed to do. It was a small wedding, just family, but Janet was so happy to have been able to attend. She gets such strength from her children. She is back home now and her son is visiting with her and her husband until tomorrow when he will return to California. Her daughter and new husband went back to California yesterday. I was just so happy to speak with my BFF. I absolutely treasured every minute on the phone with her.

Great job on RS!

Im so happy ur friend got to see her children. And see her daughter get married. I tell u the C word scares me so much. I just lost my mom n all her sisters and her mom n dad lost there battle with this dreaded disease. I cant understand y they cant come up with a cure. With all the advancements ud think they have something. You sound like a true friend. It is so hard to find a geniune friend! Im glad u are happy today you needed a good day!

Sorry im a little slow here.

I went today and got fit for shoes! It turns out im not a overprnator like i suposed i was and i kept getting shoes for that. I am a neutral? hmm well anyway i got shoes called Brooks, and i got insoles called copper superfeet.

Sorry to say I have not exercised much just lifting for arms.. I read all of your exercises and i feel soo energized !! lol I love it! But cant do the jog yet or step it gets worse.
I hope everyone had a freat week so far! I had a great Easter and I have had a good week so far considering.
 
Well I'm back from the Beach House and got lots done. I'm almost done painting the tip out. Just one or two more coats and that room will be done. Next time I go will be the hallway and then the next time will be the living room. I can't wait to be done with painting. YIKES!

Rolly and I walked on the beach everyday we were there. I used Cardio Coach and had great workouts, poor Rolly, he also had great workouts. LOL:D

I had a very nice surprise. I opened up my mail from Cathe's Weekly Newsletter and there I was! Oh My God! Who knew. I really wasn't expecting anything like that. I'm really very humbled.

Laura, Our children grow so fast don't they? Hope Eliza is feeling better. Great job on the 4 classes. Wow. How is that going?

Michelle, Great job on medium walk with Ripken and RS. Oh I love that workout! I was thinking of you and Janet while at the beach and wondering how things were going with her. I'm so glad to hear that she made it to the wedding and was able to do the motherly things. Also you had some quality time speaking with her that I think you will cherish.

ReneeP, You are so cute.:D We have Laura, Michelle, You and another Renee and me. I'm glad you got some shoes and insoles, now hopefully you can feel more comfortable. I hope so anyway. I agree, seeing everyone do their exercises makes me so motivated too. ;)

Hi everyone. Yesterday was a long day at Quantico--started early--and I didn't get to exercise. Did the total body premix from Total Body Trisets. This premix combines the lower and upper body workouts into one long, but fun, workout. Talk about sweat. I just hope I can move tomorrow. Those lower body trisets always gets me in the glutes. It's those dixie cup exercises--they do it everytime!

Today was 30/30. Love that one it is sooooo fast and then it's over.

Michelle, Great job on TB premix from TBT. I bet you did sweat! Beware of Dixie cups.

Sorry i missed yesterday! I thought i posted! Well today i tried new video that came in. Jarie loves ripped 1000. I only did 45 min of it. To me it was boring .. but maybe because i had to do lower impact. I like that tb
Here were modifications. I may do it again if i still cant do anything else. It came in a 4 dvd set. I dont see the conccept in it because it is like circuit in all the dvds so r u supose to do them everyday? I dont know confused on how its meant to be. So my foot still hurts to walk on it but i do. This is a bad case i guess. It seems it has been long enough to me. Like i did that workout today but i did low impact and hour later it kills me to walk! I want to scream WTH! Really loud! Lol and i do. Lol.

Glad to hear u guys r doing great. Nice job on the workouts!
 
Today was Step Heat. An oldie but a goody. A rest day tomorrow.

ReneeP, Great job on Jarie Love. It is a good one for a high rep low impact workout. I'm not sure how to use them. I use them every now and then for something different. I'm so sorry about your foot. It's got to be sooooo frustrating! You poor thing. Try to give it time to heal before using it anymore and see if that will help. Healing can take weeks (I'm thinking 4-6 weeks). I know, but maybe for the sake of getting it healed once and for all, then have no more pain walking and exercising afterwords. Take care of yourself.;)

Yesterday was a really long day. I was up at 4am, to go into work for a meeting with the SgtMaj of the Marine Corps from 8am to noon. He is a very energetic, enthusiastic, and talkative person. Then I had a paper to get out, so we got that done, and now I'm on to the next 2 papers that I have due this month. It's what I do: write papers.

Since I was up so early yesterday and worked 12+hours, I did not get to exercise. That was okay--I've got major DOMS from Total body Triisets on Thursday. Today I did High Step Challenge. I'm still sticking with FitnessFreak's get ready for summer rotation. It is tough. By the end of the week, the stretch and rest day are like heaven.

ReneeP: I don't have any Jarie Love dvds. I've heard of her but your description of her workout doesn't sound too appealing. And Janie didn't provide any additional inspiration on that workout set either. I'm just a diehard Cathe fan--what can I say?

Janie: Step heat is definitely a goodie. I think sister did that one last week.
