Getting Our Licks In!

Did tris and bis today. Then I did jog yesterday 30 minutes my runtastic is calling for jog tomorrow as well. Then I think Friday I will do total body workout maybe push pull or STS tb. Or I may do KCM split tb
 
Can't believe I'm still so sick. Did a little gardening today. I don't do well being sick or injured. Guess I'm a Lilly.

Michelle, Great job on on the first stretch from SM. And for today's KPC premix blocks and kicks.

The warm and muggy weather is back but at least we have a nice breeze blowing (even if it is out of the south). A nice breeze means an easier walk for my sweet pup who I have to say just becomes sweeter every day. Today was high step advanced training. I think this is one of Cathe's hardest workouts--it just turns me into a total sopping sweatmop. Six sets of leg presses--I was so happy on the last set. I wonder if Cathe ever does her own dvds and which ones are her favorites. I might have to ask her that question.
I will say that the first week of the August rotation is pretty tough: Cathe doesn't really give a less challenging workout during the week. Tomorrow is cardio core. I'm wondering how my legs are going to survive that. Maybe if I can get an extra hour of sleep, it will help.

ReneeP: which tris and bis workout did you do? Just wondering.

Janie: Gosh--this cold is really hanging on. Don't overdo. I'm sending positive energy your way for you to get well soon.

Michelle my duke is getting sweeter with age too if that's even possible!! Lol but I think that about my husband lately to. So I am thinking, men and dogs get nicer with age!! Ha

I did the x train disk number two. It was not to hard this time.

Michelle, Great job on the walk with Ripken and the advanced high step. I remember this workout and yep, IT'S HARD! Good for you! I think some one did ask if she does her DVD's. I think she does. When she has time perhaps? I don't know.:confused: Get in your extra hour of sleep if possible so you have enough energy for Cardio core. Good luck.

Took little Rippy to the groomer today. He is home and smells and looks so good. Of course, he is tired because going to the groomer interrups his nap time. Today was cardio core circuit--another hard workout and right after high step advanced training. But I made it through--dripping sweat from head to toe but happy to have another Cathe workout done.

ReneeP: you know what Cathe says: if the workout gets easier, then it is time to increase your weight amounts. Good for you! Yes, my DH has gotten sweeter with age too. Unfortunately, I do not think this analogy holds for all men--like not my father. He has gotten more cantankerous with age and not in a good way.

Janie: geez how long have you had this cold. It's been more than a week hasn't it? What a bummer.

When I can smell and taste again then I'll start working out. Didn't have any drugs yesterday and hardly any sneezing or coughing. I'm getting better. Yeah!

Michelle, Aw, how sweet and wonderful smelling Rippken is. I bet he feels better. Now he can enjoy naps without interruptions. Must be a happy puppy. Great job on cardio core circuit. Congrats for dripping sweat from head to toe.

Janie glad you are finally getting better!!

Michelle that is sweet.. I took my Mable to the vet for shots then gave her a bath lol she had such a hard day!!

I did KCM split lower body and 30 minutes to fitness premix of step and plyo in between, 45 minute workout then last night I did a yoga called happy hips easy street.
 
Ripken and I had a real nice walk this morning. It was a bit humid, but every once in a while there was a little breeze. We just went nice and slow. Did Body Max 2 cardio and weights premix today--so that's the step, weight work on the ball and abs. Not much esle going on. Just finished a peach and nuts snack. Hope ya'll have a nice, relaxing weekend.

Rest yesterday, then I am hoping to do a jog today. I was suppose to do STS but I gave a pulled neck muscle so I am trying to get better before I start it. I really wanted to start soon but even DH said I need to wait till I am truly ready.
 
Still not so good. I seemed to have gone one step back and feeling awful again and using drugs/nyqull. Sheesh! If it doesn't go away in a week I'll go to the doctors.

Janie! U should go now! U gave been feeling bad long enough. Don't wait a whole bother week. Well I am just starting to get concerned for u.
Today was a run and yesterday was a rest. I was gonna start STS but I have a pulled neck muscle still so I am trying to get it to feel better first!
 
UPDATE: Tonight no coughing or sneezing, have lots of energy and feel confident the cold will end very soon. I have so much stuff to do! I can't wait to get started on it.

Renee, Thank you for your concern, tonight I feel so much better. Great job on today's run and yesterday's rest. If you use the foam roller, it will help dramatically. it sometimes relives the pain in one setting. Check out Melt Foam Roller for neck muscles. It will give you instructions on how to do it.

Rest/stretch day today: did Stretch Max routine #1 this morning. It is becoming my Tuesday morning ritual.

Janie: well hopefully you have turned the corner on this cold. I know how you feel about going to the doctor for a cold. It seems goofy because you know the doctors can't really do anything for a cold, but then you worry, just a little, that maybe something else is going on. And then, the cold finally goes away....at least we hope that is where you are.

ReneeP: a pulled neck muscle is not cool. You probably should wait to start STS until it feels better. I may check out that foam roller that Janie recommended too, just because....

Today I still can't taste but I do feel so much better. Went shopping, Rolly and I even walked on the beach for 30 min. YaHoo! I'm going to practice yoga this coming Sun. Just a very light one, not to hard. Or maybe a Cathe stretch. I need it so badly!

Michelle, Great job on your stretch Max routine #1. You are doing so well with your routines. Very proud of you.

In this whacky, fast-pace world, there are things I do every day that help me to keep power through on my job: I walk Ripken; I hug and kiss my husband (as much as he can stand); I hug and kiss my pup (he never seems to get annoyed); I exercise; I check-in here. Oops, almost forgot, speaking of exercise: today was Super Sets.

Janie: glad to hear that things are continuing to improve. Getting out and about is good. Yoga and stretching are great starts--should help to heal your body. I checked out the Melt Foam Roller that you recommended to ReneeP; I might invest in one of those.

Hi ladies

I did a jog today 40 minutes!! On Monday I did intervals 3 miles and I thought I was gonna die ! But I pushed on threw and got finished 3.2miles in 30 it said my pace was 9.30 I think. 9 something! I was shocked !!

Well ladies I have to let you know I am thinking of giving this thread a brake, I am one three all together plus on fb too. I love to read what is going in and what wo u r doing but I feel at times I am running low on motivation and I feel I am talking to. Myself at times. I just want you to know I will be on fb. More then here. I am backing out of another thread I am on for same reason. It's just so hard to keep up with every thread and only see a few other posts. Ill still be around and say hi once in a while. Also maybe all threads will pick back up again soon as new workouts get into our hands!!!
I'm still doing my Cathe and jogs I will drop in to tell u about my STS next week!! I sure will keep reading here though!!have a lovely day!
 
Today was a walk on the beach with Rolly. Then went to the mail and afterwords went to a beach I usually don't go to. From a distance I saw something odd. A large rock maybe? Or a large stump? As I got closer to it I realized it was a huge manual of some kind. It was cut up in away that the insides were taken away and what was left was a corps with the outside underneath the the inside was showing from the outside. Ewwe. Looking closer at it was a lot of blubber. It was so large but can't identify what it was. Poor thing.

Michelle, Good job on walking Ripken and doing Super Sets. Let's see, I also have things I do every day that help me in this fast paste world of our too. I hug and kiss Joey in the morning and before bed. He won't allow anymore then that. LOL I check in here, I feel really grateful for Cathe's DVD's, I have our kitty Higgen to play with and my Rolly who is such a needy little guy. My art and crafts also help a lot. The roller is so helpful for me and my aches and pains. It should help anyone. You will be pleasantly surprised. Looks like you and me only kiddo will be on this thread. Guess it's time for invitations again?

Renee, I'm going to miss you very much, but do understand moving on to something else can be motivational. Keep in touch every now and again so we still know you are OK. Good luck and take care. (hugs).
