Getting Our Licks In!

Oops, I missed a day. So, yesterday was To The Max after a nice walk in the morning with little Rippy. This morning was a bonus walkabout--in the 60s and no humidity--SWEET! Today's exercise was high reps. Ripken has decided not to follow me upstairs after our morning walk. It is just easier for him to rest downstairs. He still comes up at night to sleep in our bedroom but I wonder how much longer he will do that. His appetite and disposition are wonderful and he loves his walks, but he has definitely decided that he doesn't need to be going up and down the stairs more than once a day. I know these are all just natural progressions and I try not to dwell on what this all means in the long run, but just enjoy my sweet, loving pup everyday.

Rolly and I walked fast on the beach for about 30 min.

Michelle, Great job on on yesterday's To The Max and a walk in morning with Ripken. Also for this morning's walk with great weather. Also for today's High Reps. Ripken is smart saving his energy. Yes, do enjoy your Ripken every single day. I'm sorry...(hugs to Ripken and you.)

I did yoga kathy smith yesterday I had woke up lift my head off pillow and I heard a snap! Then a burning feeling then I could hardly move my neck had to go to the doctor X-rays thank God it was not the bones, it was my muscle ! Never heard that before! Anyway muscle relaxer and pain meds no lifting for a couple days. He said I could jog if I felt like it. He said just no lifting weights yet.
I woke up this morning with a summer cold! Lol not a good two days for me.
 
Today is the first day that my shoulder is feeling a tad better. Must have been an injury. Darn! And I thought I was so careful!
Rolly and I went walking on the beach today. Will start a rotation on Sun. or Mon. Giving it some more time to heal.

ReneeP, Great job on Kathy Smith yoga yesterday. OH NO! Try to heal as soon as you can. Remember it's only a small set back and you will be back to par soon. Just relax and do as the doc says. (double hugs)

Glad u r feeling better ! Have u been watching the road trip? I have between painting my workout room!! I love it . I am gonna try to post it. It is a soft sherbet orange but the pics look darker and one pic looked yellow.

Watched a little bit of the Cathe roadtrip on USTREAM this weekend. SNM did a nice job providing live coverage of the workouts. Did Crossfire on Saturday, Muscle Max yesterday, and To The Max today. Now, I'm trying to decided what to do next. Maybe a week of High Step? I haven't done Cathe's high step workouts in a while. My legs are hurting just thinking about all those leg presses.

ReneeP: you did a great job on your workout room. Looks very comfortable and motivating.

My daughter and grandson will be here Wed. evening, in time for dinner. They will spend the night and leave the next day. Been walking the beach with Rolly.
My shoulder still hurts a bit. Has good days and sore days. I'll put some more warmth and coolness to it tonight.
Did heavy duty gardening today for about an hour and half.
Will be planning to make a couple of gardens here at the BH. Get some plants from Shelton and plant them here. Asparagus, berries...hopefully they will survive. Should retrieve them next time I'm in Shelton. Lots of work to do, fencing digging...There are lots of tree roots everywhere.

Michelle, I watched a lot of the road trip too. Really cool! Great job on Crossfire on Sat., MM yesterday and today's TTM. Good for you! I love the high step workouts. Yozzie!

ReneeP, LOVE, LOVE the color you picked. So very nice.

Rolly walked me at the beach today for about 45 min. Did some gardening (weeding) around the place. Will make more plans when, where and how to do the berry/asparagus garden when Joey gets back here to the BH on Monday. Hope to get a lot done this year. But if not it will be next year for sure.

Walking with Rolly on the beach for about 30 min. Waiting for my daughter and grandson to get here. Won't be long now. I've made some special bubble soap and a huge giant contraption to make huge giant bubbles. Will take it to the beach (if not to windy) and we'll make bubble tonight. If to windy at the beach will do it in the back yard. It all brings out the kid in us. LOL Will show pictures when done.
Catching an awful cold. Yuck! I don't get many of those. I can feel this one will be a whooper.

I hope you get better soon! I did hard strikes last night and sit ups today was painting my bathroom and tomorrow ill finish up the bath, then I'm thinking cardio leg blast tomorrow. Cause I need to do cardio but I also need to do legs, I needed to do legs today but I was to busy with cloths cleaning and painting. So I guess it's makeup day tomorrow.

Feeling a little better but still to sick to exercise. I'll start going to the beach tomorrow or Tuesday.

Fantastic job on HS and sit ups and also for painting your bathroom. What color? Thank you so much for the pic on FB. That is how it feels when I'm on the beach. Spot on.

Sorry I have been missing in action. Just busy enjoying the weekend. So what have I been up to? Well, last week was a busy week. Stayed on track with exercise: Step Moves on Thursday, HSCircuit on Friday, and Step Jam on Saturday. Started Cathe's August rotation today: Step, Jump, and Pump--but I hate hi/lo aerobics so I did the step and circuits premix and then added the ab work. DH and I went car shopping on Wednesday. We bought a new Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid. I love this car. The technology in it is amazing and I got 50 MPG driving home from work on Thursday which I really love. It has so many features on it that I am reading the user's manual to be sure that I am aware of everything that it is capable of. It doesn't have a key, but a key fob that you need to have with you in the car in order for the push-botton start to work. It also has remote start (way cool) and so many options for locking and unlocking the doors that it is just crazy. Alot of the features are intuitive but many I wouldn't know unless I had read the manual, so I'm plugging along on that. Oh yeah--and the color is gorgeous: storm ice. So, cleaning my Aviator and getting ready to sell and learning the new car has pretty much been my weekend in addition to the regular stuff: exercise, walking Ripken, cleaning house, and watching the Nationals.

Janie: so sorry that you have been under the weather. I hope that you are feeling better today. Looks like your family is having fun playing with the bubble-maker. Cody is not a little boy anymore, is he?

ReneeP: wow, you were sick last week and Janie came down with something over the weekend. It sounds like you are feeling better. Cardio leg blast is one of those workouts that I kind of scares me and then I have fun doing it and think: now what was I afraid of?

Well, my DH put ribs in the oven--might be a little bit before we eat, but that is okay. I'm looking forward to a good productive week at work and some fantastic Cathe workouts. The August rotation has quite a mix of workouts, first week is circuit workouts. B&G tomorrow.

Ran 30 minutes today I got in 2.6 miles. I am gonna try this new app on phone for fat loss for someone who has been jogging already but wanting a combination that is hearses to fat loss like first week is steady state and i think next week it has a couple of intervals too.

Michelle the car sounds awesome!! I'd love to see it! Please post a picture!! Sounds like a great color and the gas millage is to die for!!! Wow!!

Quick check-in: great walk with Ripken this morning. I needed a light jacket! What month is this: August? Not complaining, just enjoying. Then did B&G timesaver premix. Love the stability ball abs on this premix.

X train legs done! I got STS deal of the day and 15 percent off 120 was the price!! Had to get it! Hope I like it. I am thinking of trying STS with jogging!!!
 
MY JOEY IS HOME! It's been way to long and I hope we never have to spend that kind of time apart again. I never realized how much I missed him until I saw him get out of that truck. Man O Man!
Still sick and I'm afraid Joey might get sick as well. Feeling better but one step back today for some reason. Just sneezing up a storm with runny nose. No exercise yet, but will get there when my body fights off this cold.

Michelle, Great job staying on track with exercise with Step Move on Thursday, HSCircuit on Friday, and Step Jam on Saturday. I wanted so badly to start the August Rotation and when I feel better I'll start it from the beginning until August is over. Just a couple of weeks I'm afraid. Adjusting the rotation to your liking and is what it's all about. You have to enjoy your workout or it just simply doesn't work. Good for you! Great job on Step and Circuits premix and added the ab work. OOOOOO How do you like the Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid since you've been driving it? OMG! 50 MPG? The car is heaven sent. Technology these days especially in cars can be complicated. Read read read. No key? Wow. Oh I love the sound of storm ice. Pictures please! ReneeP, Great job on train legs. Yahoo! Of all the DVD's Cathe has I think STS is her best. Watch your body improve in leaps and bounds. Good for you to want to be healthy. Now relax on the money part and enjoy the benefits. Make sure you read everything on STS and when you do the active recovery, then do your jogging. You'll love it!

I do not remember the last time I checked in. I think it has been a few days. Yesterday was a rest day and I did the first stretch from Stretch Max. Today was KPC premix blocks and kicks because it was all I could get in before early meetings at Quantico. Tomorrow is High Step Advanced Training. I'm mentally preparing myself for all those leg presses-ugh! This first week of the August rotation is a doozy, that is for sure.

Janie: sorry to hear that you are still under the weather. Sounds like you have a ferocious summer cold. I think colds in the summer are worse than in the winter, don't you? It's nice to have your hubby home when you don't feel good. I bet you start feeling better just because he is there.

ReneeP: sweet deal on STS. You bought it at a super-duper price. You are going to love it.
