Getting Our Licks In!

I really want to get STS!! I never wanted it before. I was not even into her weights or weights at all til I see my muscles!!! I want more! I just wish I can lose some weight I really do look like a ball still. But it is a slow process, I do see progress. I am hoping if I can afford to i may get STS after peak fit. Not sure yet. I just really can not afford to buy more yet! I am having finance issues now and I am kinda getting worried so I have to back off some on spending!!
 
It was a very busy weekend. I finished the draft of my paper and it is with the editor so that pressure is off, for now. Did LIS lower body yesterday and Crossfire this morning. Crossfire is becoming a favorite. Ripken did great on his walk this morning. We took a "long walk"--which is about a mile and he didnot stop to take a rest. Amazing! I just have to say that this dog absolutely has a heart of pure gold.

ReneeP: STS is a must have, for sure. When you buy it, do so when Cathe has it featured as her deal of the day. BTW--STS just happens to be the deal of the day today.

Janie: back to the beach my dear friend. Sounds lovely--except the feeding the seagulls part. I'm not a big fan of seagulls since they poop all over our boat. They are fine, just as long as they stay away from the boat.

Rolly and I walked the beach about 45 min. and did 15 min. of Body Fusion. Also did Lower Body hand weight add on. I asked my sister Joy to visit with me while Joey is in MI. She will be here on Wed.

ReneeP. Maybe you can get STS for Christmas. Save your money it is so worth it for what now seems you are ready for. I doubt you look like a ball. Seen your photos and you don't. LOL We are our own worst critiques.

Michelle, Yea, Congratulations on finishing the draft! Great job on LIS Lower Body yesterday and Crossfire this morning. Also a long walk with Ripken. Yep, seagulls do have that reputation. :(

I do want STS I saw it today as deal of day!! I wanted it so bad but I am gonna wait a little longer. I got to pay down my bills. I wish I can find a better consolidated loan counseling place.
Today I did pure cardio and sweated alot! It was dripping off my nose chin and everywhere, I did down dog during stretch and drip drip! Loved that !! Strange I have lots of other wo harder then that one but I didn't sweat as much as I did on this one!
 
Today is scheduled a rest day. Rolly and I went walking on the beach for 35 min. Cleaning house and on 2nd brew of water kefir. Yummmmy probiotic drinks. I managed to bottle 4 peach and 4 strawberry drinks. The Kombucha will be ready Sunday then can bottle them up as well. So good for GERD's or for anyone's digestive system. My sister Joy (I have 3 others) will be here tomorrow. Yea!

ReneeP, Buy STS at Christmas time. Great job on Pure Cardio and sweating a lot. Isn't that cool? You know you did good when sweating like that.

Janie, hope you totally enjoyed that rest day. Love thinking of you and your dig on the beach! It seems like a very peaceful and fulfilling time!

I did peak fit strength one today. I liked it, I used heavier this time then last time I did it. But because I think I went to light till I knew what was coming. It was not like it killed me but it was a great workout, again I actually sweated, lots of push ups, dips. Core balance while lifting it was nice! So far so good.

Hi everyone. Back from a break day and a partial day off. After my morning meeting a Quantico yesterday and responding to emails (from home), I took the afternoon "off." Yesterday was my DH and my 21st wedding anniversary which we actually remembered this year and commemorated by going to our favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg last night. We are in day 3 of a heat wave here in the mid-Atlantic and even though I exercise inside my air-conditioned house, my body so feels this heat. I decided to make this week an XTRAIN week, started off with AOLIH and core 1 this morning. Gosh, I do love that workout--it is so much fun. Trying to drink alot of water today to stay hydrated.And yes, I am back at work.

Janie: I've been using your soap of late, so I think of you every time I take a shower! That probably sounds weird, but it is true.

ReneeP: I hear you on consolidating your debt. We have paid off all our credit cards in the past few years and are on a strict credit card usage diet because now the rule in our household is that the credit card bills have to be paid in full each month. It really makes you watch your spending. I like Crossfire and To the Max. I think To the Max is harder. I find that once I get going on Crossfire it just flies by.

My sister and I went for a bike ride. She using the tricycle and I using a two wheeler. Went to the beach and back. It was soooo much fun. Tonight a couple hrs. after dinner I did Basic Step and upper body weight add on. Really go sweaty. Yahoo!

ReneeP, The beach for me is restful and enjoyable time. Can't get better than this. Great job on fit strength today. Congrats on using the heavier weight. Yea! Sounds like you did it perfectly. Keep up the good work.

Michelle, LOL you are so funny! I laughed all day when you said you thought of me in the shower using the soap I made. Too funny, I'm still giggling. So nice to have a day off after all the work you put in. Congratulations on your 21st Anniversary. How cool is that? Celebrating by going out to your favorite restaurant sounds like a lot of fun. EWEW, hot hot hot, hope it cools down for ya. Great job on AOLIH and core 1. Do keep drinking water as you are doing. Aw back at the old grind.

Another hot, hot day but Litte Rippy has been great on his morning walks. I did XTRAIN chest, back, and shoulders this morning (disc 1). Hadn't done that one--it moves along fast and Cathe puts some twists in on some tried and true exercises. I didn't preview the workout so I did not know what to expect. Now that I know; I hope to be more efficient with my weight amount choices next time. This morning, sometimes I went too heavy; sometimes too light; and sometimes just right. Not much else going on, just the regular work and home routine which is enough.

Janie: a bicycle ride sounds nice. I keep eyeing my bicycle thinking it would be good to get it out. I'll have to put air in the tires first!

Sometimes you wake up in the morning and you know that your body is too mentally or physically tired to exercise. This morning it was the mental fatigue for me. So, got an extra hour of sleep and will hit the exercise tomorrow when my mind and body are both rested.

Hi girls I have been busy the past two days! I like it too lol.
Any how I did the dynamic core per the peak fit rotation, and I did today the cardio strength one and man it was good.. I tried to do like she said the girls in the back were doing 8 and 10 pounds as light and heavy weights, but I was doing that and I had to go with 5 for the lights weights because I couldn't go as fast without messing up the form! So I am gonna stick with the five for now and eights.. kind of disappointed with my self but I am thinking okay it is just a different type of workout.. I mean I only use 5 and 8 in Crossfire and TTM and this was a workout like that, sort of.. any way I will come back later to get into personals!! also I received my KCM dvds I ordered three of them I really like what the spit looks like but I opened the cardio blast and no DVD!!!
 
Sorry for being MIA. Been so busy having fun. LOL Yesterday was Total Body Stretching and a jog for 20 min. on the beach with Rolly. today was Basic "Step plus Ab routine add on.

I'm so tired for going so long the last two days I'm going to bed. Read everyone's post and so proud of you all. Will get it back together tomorrow.

For me today was the Wedding Video.
My sister Joy will be here until Joey starts to come home. In the mean time another sister says she's coming over tomorrow with our Dad and perhaps bringing yet another sister and her daughter. Oh my am I going to be busy. I may not be able to get a chance to post. They will be here at least a couple of days.

I was so zonked out yesterday I forgot to check in even though I did manage to exercise. Did the cardio only portion from Hardstrikes. I had great hopes of getting alot accomplished yesterday but I ended up taking a nap that lasted the whole afternoon. I feel better for it though. Just finished doing disc 2, biceps and triceps, from XTRAIN. Taking a little break and then I'm thinking I will do tabatacise. That will catch me up on my workouts for the week.

Janie: have fun with your sisters and your dad.

ReneeP: what workouts are you doing? I'm not familiar with whatever you are doing these days. I tend to stick with Cathe, so I need a little more information to keep up. It sounds like whatever you are doing is more of a weight endurance workout vice a strength workout and you will generally use lighter weights on an endurance workout because the reps are faster. So it sounds like you are doing good to me.

Good job on the workouts !!

Michelle I am trying Michelle Dozois peak fit workouts. Yes it is endurance and cardio. It is hard still but the weight work is more endurance has 10 DVDs 2 strength, 2 cardio-strength, 1 interval cardio, core DVD, flexible DVD, anytime anywhere DVD, 2 pure cardio, it's what I am hoping will finally get me to look like something other then an egg or ball shape ! Lol

I went to see a movie today! Can you believe, hubby went with me! He hardly ever goes!! It was the conjuring!! Good movie!
 
Nice walk with my pup this morning--who was moving very slow. He seems to be slowing down more and more. All I can do is be patient with him and enjoy every day that I have with him. I am still amazed that he is still with us--but I know that every day is a blessing. Did Supercuts this morning. It is such a fast-paced workout. I'm definitely ready for a stretch/rest day tomorrow.

ReneeP: thanks for the additional information on your workouts. I will have to look Michelle Dozois up on the internet.

Enjoyed a nice stretch this morning after my walkabout with Ripken. The pup enjoyed a nice snooze in front of his fan while I was stretching with Cathe and crew. Getting things done here at work. Feeling productive. Still busy, but the whir of activity is manageable. Hope everyone is doing well.

Ok. Yesterday was suppose to be MD pure strength but it isn't to heavy so I true KCM split I like that one 30 minutes all upper, it is intermediate but I liked it and if u go really heavy like I did it made it advanced very nice DOMS in my upper back for sure . Today I went for a fast 23 minute jog.
 
My family has left and it is such an eerie quite. Loved having my family here to visit, especially my Dad. Tonight I will post again with my exercises. Unfortunately wasn't able to find the time with the 8 of us in this small Mobil home. LOL Such as life sometimes.
Been having a pain on my upper left shoulder blade. Doesn't seem to get any better, with hot or cold presses. I think it's from push ups. Any idea what it may be? An injury perhaps? Yuck, I hate to think of the latter, means more time away from exercising. Had it ever since I started the Beginning Rotation from Cathe. Hmmmmmm.
It's so good to be back to normal almost, it will be normal once Joey is back from MI. He should be home Monday maybe then he'll go to Shelton to mow and whack weeds there then come to the BH.

Michelle, Great job on stretching this morning and the walk with Ripken. Yea, feeling productive is always a good sign.

ReneeP, Great job on KCM split and for going heavy and making advanced. Congrats on your DOM's. And for today's 23 min. jog. Yea.
