    I fondly remember Chris Clarke

Although I'm no longer an active member of these forums, I still read the goings on from time to time and was stunned and saddened to read of the passing of Chris Clarke. I met him at RT 2008, his kindness and love of fitness shown through, I'll never forget attempting ( a term I use loosely) to...

Closure..and yes, that was my post.

I need to do this for nobody else but me... I joined Cathe in 2007 because I needed a challenge...I soon realized that I only lived an hour from her gym, so I began to take a few classes there, and soon discovered some other forum members from the New Jersey-New York-Pennsylvania area who...

Who One Star Rates a Friggin' Birthday Thread?!?

I see Fruitcakes aren't just for Christmas anymore..,from Cathe e-mailing me directly last year telling me not to come to the RT, and then not giving me the courtesy of an answer why I was the only person to receive this e-mail..to people admitting their family hates then..to this Jonezie whack...

I dunno Beth...better to have the sand in your shoe issue, as opposed to the shell in your foot issue...I know from experience! Have a great time in SD!

Yoga at a studio vs. gym vs. DVD

The first time I left the studio, I had this feeling where I actually wondered if it was legal to feel this good!

Yoga at a studio vs. gym vs. DVD

if you've ever wanted to truly 'do' yoga....a studio is the way to go...I have found a place near my home that is about as close to a fountain of youth as you can find...I go in creaking like a tin man, bounce out like I just left the land of OZ when finished. After years of doing Yoga...

    Hi Everyone!

in 100% agreement with you, Laura...as someone who works in customer service for a living, the term "the customer is always right" is the biggest sack of garbage I have ever heard. I could tell stories, but I won't. Cathe's response to Kathryn was long overdue, and gave me a nice smile this...

The incredible hold exercise has on me!!

Thanks, Kim..responses like yours are the reason I wanted to come back here to post...what will I have learned from making mistakes if I don't pass on the knowledge to help others? I sincerely appreciate the wishes regarding my brother, he is in a much better place, a place he chose to be...

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout for Wii!!!

All you need is an additional controller for this game. The controllers basically take the place of boxing gloves. The game does use the Wii balance board for a small percentage of it, but it's by no means a necessity, I don't have the balance board and got a great sweat in. It is a fun change...

The incredible hold exercise has on me!!

This was never more true than my recent trip to Disney for 2 weeks. I did manage to bring a portable DVD player along with a KB workout, which I did do on two occasions, but by no means did I make it a priority to work out...big mistake..by the end of my 2nd week, my fatigue increased, my mood...

    Thank You Daytona Cathletes

Having been on the July 2008 RT at Cathe's club in New Jersey, I could only imagine what this weekend must've been like!!! If you're lucky enough to get the chance to do one of these weekends, you simply have to. The memories alone are more than worth the cost.

    Thank you, Worknprogress!!

Thanks for the replies!! I appreciate them. I think what I'm starting to realize is that I spent far too much time in a "why me" zone than I had a right to. There is also the realization that I have to work just a little harder than I have been at improving myself in all areas of my life.

    Thank you, Worknprogress!!

First off, I am an idiot, secondly, I am a huge idiot, that about covers it. I made some very bad decisions a while back, things that I cannot change..the big thing is, what am I going to do going forward??? My own personal pity party after being injured did me no good..I have never asked...

    RT Performance Anxiety!

Nancy... You'll be just fine, please don't stress it, have fun with it. For me, last years' RT was all about meeting fellow Cathletes, the classes themselves were secondary to that. I had the time of my life. What you'll remember most about this event is the people you've met.

This Q is open to anyone, but really want to hear from fellow males on the forum..

Chris, Have an awesome road trip!!!! As far as the pushups go, the safest way for me to do them is bent knee version, if I try them on my toes, my form disappears very quickly, so I won't even pretend to try to match Cathe!
