What are your top 3 Cathe's DVDs??

CarlaVeg

Cathlete
Hello all!!!

I'm new to Cathe's workout. I just got today Drill Max (my first Cathe's DVD) and it seems tough by great!! I will do that tomorrow morning....

I guess I want to know what should I get after Drill Max???? I consider myself intermidiate/advance.... I'm sure I won't be able to finish Drill Max though hahahaha!! I like DVD's that have weight training (I'm not looking for cardio only).

I'd love to hear your suggestions... also music is key to me!

I'm looking forward to your top 3 :)
Thanks!

Carla

Hi Carla,

Welcome to the forums.

I can't tell if you want suggestions for circuit workouts or suggestions for any Cathe workout (cardio or strength) that is a favorite.

I am going to give you my top picks for circuits that may fit YOUR needs. You should be able to work up to them if you felt comfortable choosing Drill Max. I would suggest that you look at the clips to get an idea of the workout and the music. I don't know exactly what type of music you like but I do like Cathe's choices for workout music.

Low Impact Circuit

Cardio & Weights (circuit workout)/ IMAX2 (interval workout)

High Step Challenge or Boot Camp

Depending on your exact fitness level, you will have room to grow.

Good luck,
jordan

Hi Carla,

I think my fav 3 are: Low Impact Circuit I think this is my numero uno dvd. Then I would say the Terminator and HardCore Xtreme. I also like Butts and Guts and Kick Punch and Crunch. (KPC I have only used the version on FitTV but it is fun. It's hard to go wrong with my Cathe she is the "cream of the crop".

I would have to say my least favs are MIC(hi/lo portion only) and Interval Max.

My top three are High Step Training Advanced, Body Max 2 and Boot Camp. Although it is hard to only pick three, these are the ones I like to reach for.
Laura

My top three would be Gym Styles BSB, GS CT, and Butts & Gutts.
Closely following that would be KPC, Boot Camp, and the Pyramids.

Cathy :)

Only 3?? lol. I could fill a page of just favorites ;-) Ok, here goes...

Cardio Fusion
Imax 2
Slow & Heavy (though this is tied with the Gym Styles, S&H is all on one DVD while the GS are 3, lol)

Carol

This is hard since we get only 3.

1) Low Max (first tape I bought from Cathe and still my fav)
2) Boot Camp (cause I can do it!!)
3) BodyMax2 or Step, Jump & Pump or LIC. (these are tied)

Very hard to pick just three, but I'll try:

Hardcore Extreme

Terminator

Bootcamp or Bodymax 2

PS--Even though Kick, Punch and Crunch is not a weight workout, it is one the DVD with Legs and Glutes (which is a weighted leg workout) SOOOOOOO if I could pick that DVD, I would --probably tied with #1 or #2 above.

My top three favorite circuit DVDs are (not including Drill Max which is a definite favorite):

Terminator Gauntlet and Viper (both on the same DVD)
High Step Challenge
Low Impact Circuit

It's very hard to stop at just three. I'd also get Body Max 2 if I were you as the premixes give a lot of options and it's such a fun workout.

My favorites are:

1. Kick Punch Crunch
2. Low Max
3. Gym Styles (all three)

Monica

It's very hard to pick out only 3, and since I usually do weights & cardio seperately, I am going to "cheat" a bit...

weight workouts:
MuscleMax
Butts & Guts
Gym Styles BSB & CT (i know they are technically 2, but i think of them as a bundle, since you can't do one w/o the other)

cardio workouts:
Body Max2 (premixes - usually c&w or cardio blast+ abs)
LIC (cardio blast ts premix, plus abs)
LowMax

Only 3???? What a tough question!

But if I had to start listing, it might look like this -

1) Boot Camp, because I've seen the most fitness gains from this one, and because you really can give each interval your 100% all when it only lasts for a minute. I also like that each circuit incorporates abs rather than putting them at the end of the workout when I'm already tired.

2) Rhythmic Step - it makes cardio so much fun the time flies by

3) PUB - I've always been weak on upper body weight work before, and this is the one I keep coming back to most often. It's given me some real gains.

After that-
4. Cardio Fusion
5. Butts & Guts
6. Drill Max
7. Step Blast
The list could go on and on....

Hope that helps
Cheryl

This is hard with only 3 but here goes...

#1: Cardio & Weights/Imax 2 (1 DVD)
#2: LIC (Low Impact Circuit)
#3: Bootcamp/Muscle Endurance (1 DVD)

I like all the Gym Styles as well and Butts & Guts and ... well you get the point!:7

Michelle

I like Body Max 2 better than Low Impact Circuit, but BM2 has more cardio. Don't get me wrong, though, LIC is still great, but the weight portions are a little too dynamic for me right now. I like more controlled moves in my weight work, and actually threw my back out doing the weight work in LIC.

Cardio & Weights is a good one.

And even though I have not done this workout yet, High Step Challenge looks like a good Circuit type workout.

Being that you already have DrillMax (a personal fav), I would say:

Kick, Punch & Crunch
Bootcamp
Gym Styles series (or Pyramids, which is one DVD)

Three??!!??

1. Slow & Heavy
2. Muscle Endurance (This changed my butt totally! Ouch!)
3. Pyramids

I've noticed ~ahem~ that SOME people cheated & went over 3...so...

4. Pure Strength
5. Butts & Guts
6. Rhythmic Step

I consider any series to be one answer. So there! :p

I could go on and on. But I won't.
