Taking it to the Max-- June 2013 thru...

Hello to all you wonderful people, Lady Lep, and I have to get to know you all. I did about 45 minutes of some older Christi Taylor Step, and I am still on a six inch step, and I did the leg portion of Hi Reps, which I find to be a killer. Waiting for UPS to pick up some stuff from Amazon.com, kindles and stuff that don't work.
 
hi girls! today for me was RWH low impact 1 plus low impact x10 and 35 mins of yoga. then I also took bugsy on a walk since it is so nice outside. my right hip flexor is feeling like crud. hoping that goes away and doesn't develop into the injury I had before. will be watching it and changing up workouts if I need to.

ladylep-- that sounds awful with the weather and the sickness! I hope your dh feels better! how are the boys now? sorry you aren't getting the results you want. like I said, I don't have that series/workout, but this RWH I think is pretty effective. maybe when you are through with the one you are on, you could try the totally rwh rotation. if I were eating better, I think I would see even better results.

Caitlin-- I don't know that workout either, but the leg portion (heck, every portion) of high reps gets me, too! that is a great workout, though. I should bring that one out more.

Katie, I just don't know if I want to finish it. I'm just so frustrated. No workout in today, I needed a break. But if I do go back to Max 30, I'm thinking I should just do Monday's tomorrow and just be behind by a day. And either skip the pulse w/o on Sunday and take a rest or do the pulse and not have a rest day this week, since I'm having an extra one today. Pulse is Shaun T's version of a stretch wo, 20 min.
 
hi girls! sorry didn't get on here yesterday! it was so nice outside-- 65-- that I spent a lot of time outdoors. I also did UB circuit from RWH. today was yoga for me-- power yoga 1 by bryan kest, plus another long walk outside. my hip flexor is still bugging me. will decide tomorrow if I will do LB circuit, or something less intense, based on how it feels then.

I am so sorry ladylep! I would be frustrated, too! especially with all the work you are putting into it. what did you end up deciding?

oh, and we have great news! imala got a nice scholarship for the summer program at Curtis, so she will be in Philadelphia for three weeks this summer! I am putting plans together to come out the last week to see one of her concerts and then bring her home. it is all a little nutty, though, as alec is in Italy at that time and then we are headed to the north shore before he will be off for college :-(. still in denial on that one.

Sorry lady Lep about the results from max 30! I thought you'd see the results fast from that. I really had dread with insanity myself because it was all the same thing it seemed like.

It has been to nice here as well to be inside! I did on Monday a upper body kCM lift 2 b fit! It was a good little workout. Only 8 reps so u go as heavy as u can. But two sets and three sets in some things . and on Tuesday I did go do 3.5 miles jog walk jog.. Then today was a 2 miles jog walk jog. On Sunday was a 2 .5 miles. Tomorrow I will do a full body weights maybe an endurance training one.

Katie, wow is right! Congrats!

I ended up taking 3 rest days and then today I did PRS1 premix 30 min timesaver! So much fun! I have missed Cathe! I'm tracking everything even the peanut butter and butter I had on a spoon tonight!! But I'm determined to stay in my points, today was over my daily,but I dipped into my weekly. The scale was a little lower this morning. And will probably be up again tomorrow from the peanut butter and butter and then I did have 3 squares of Ghiradelli...but I'm rested, slept 8.5 hours last night and have felt great today! Unfortunately, I need to get up at 6:30 for our co op tomorrow, I am teaching for the first time in a month! Between sickness and snow...and I'm subbing for the girl who subbed for me in her 2 history classes tomorrow. There is a k-1 and a 2-3 grades classes. She had done all the prep work, I just needed to read a chapter and a half of the text and review everything. We studied ancient history last year. Tomorrow will be about Romulus and Remus and the beginning of Rome, Rome roads, Roman gods and aqueducts. All stuff I covered last year and when JTrain was on in 2nd grade. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm not sure what I'll do tomorrow, depends on how tired I am in the afternoon after teaching from 9-12 and what I can get done with the boys in the afternoon. I need to bake CDawg's cake tomorrow night for his bday on Saturday. So much sickness has made it hard to get back in the groove of schoolwork. I didn't get time with JTrain at all today and he got stuck on his math at the last 5 problems. But I needed to spend extra time with B since he has been so incredibly distracted lately, it's been hard to get him to do anything. But it was nice that I did get some time with Little K today, we started his kindergarten math (counting matching, cutting and pasting) and some reading. I really love reading out loud to him and them. :) today for history we read Aladdin and are hoping to get the Disney movie soon, it was checked out of the library today.

Oh, one last bit of info, Little K threw a rock at the sliding car door window and shattered it, I had asked JTrain to put him in his carseat while I payed for the doctor's visit and JTrain decided to lock everyone out of the car, so B started throwing rocks (gravel driveway) and Little K followed. ugh, it was replaced today.

Happy tapatalk is working again! I don't know if I will do a LIHI or some fun step again. I do miss my weights though!

LIHI Chest triceps shoulders today and boy did it hurt! I don't know what Max 30 did to me but I felt so weak! I tried to match Cathe's weight and couldn't! Pushups and the tricep push ups, I could not keep up with those either. Then I added on abs one wight he weight and I couldn't do the plank work! I was so sore after those finishers! I will be dying tomorrow. I may need to take the day off, I was thinking RWH low impact HiiT or LIHI Legs, but I'm not sure I will be able to!

Lady Lep I miss Cathe when I don't do her DVDS to! I can't do a rotation of anyone else for to long at all! By the end of week two I am already bored with anyone else and ready to go back to Cathe! I think the only other one I have done was chalene extreme and I did it for three weeks before I inserted a Cathe dvd in there! But insanity was dread for me because I felt like each workout was the same thing! And if the music was more like x train maybe it would have made me move more but it to me was not motivating at all. I also had inserted turbo fire in with chalene extreme as well and that is where the music was so good! But that program was the longest I had stuck to any other instructor! Sts was the longest followed by Xtrain! That was my workouts that was mostly I stuck to. I just have to have good music pushing me and. Fun workouts !

Today I did athletic conditioning KCM 30 minutes and then Cathes, Supercuts upper body 39 minutes then I did a good stretch off of the KCM dvd it was 22 minutes. It was great and I felt really well! So far this is two weeks no headaches!!! I am amazed with it!! I know my doctor put me on topmax and my son asked the church to pray for me a couple weeks ago. I just know I am feeling so good

Renee, that's great that you haven't had headaches for 2 weeks! Happy for you!

No wo for me yesterday unless you count the 5 min of RWH low impact 1! Not much time yesterday. Hopefully today I will get a good one in. I need a good calorie burner from all the dips and piece of cake and piece of chocolate chip cookie cake last night! I completely forgot to come back from the party I was at early enough to ice Connor's bday cake for today. So I'm going to have to make another one, it wasn't wrapped and sat out since Thursday night. Thankfully my only plan today was to wo and clean today and a quick trip to BJs!

As for today's wo, for a good calorie burner that is fun, I'm thinking RWH one of the circuits or CF or TTM. I'll I have to check in wo manager. :)

I did TTM! Love that step! I think I may try Max 30 month 2 this week. But giving myself the 'go ahead' to quit or pause and not feel guilty or like a failure. I may try to do that M-F then instead of his pulse (stretch) wo and abs and replace it with a fun Cathe that includes abs for Saturday and Sunday. I'm still super sore from LIHI Chest tris and shoulders! I'm thinking YogaMax or off tomorrow.

CDawg is 11 today! Long johns (Lancaster County specialty, to me- plan donuts with icing shaped like a log not like a donut, no biggie to me, I had 2 bites of one and gave the rest to Little K), then I made cheese steaks for lunch and they will have Caesar and pizza for dinner followed by cake and ice cream and possibly chips and salsa and popcorn during Big Hero 6.

Hi girls! Busy few days here-- more recitals and now today sitting at a rehearsal. I am super tired! Went to bed at 11 after a nice date night out with Rik, but was up at 4:am and just couldn't fall back asleep. I got up and did plyo hiit 1 plus abs 2. I really feel like giving these rwh workouts even more time. I noticed in the mirror last night some actual definition in my upper abs and my waistline/hips. Now if I could just eat better and get rid of my lower belly! Much of it is skin from having three kids, but i think i definitely could shrink it down.

Renee-- that is such good news about your headaches!! I hope it continues! Nice weather probably always helps, too.

Ladylep-- haapy birthday to cdawg! Sounds like you are as busy as ever! TTM is normally a pretty tough one for me! Great job!

I had a headache on Saturday ! Ugh! But It was a rest day. So today I went for a 3 miles walk run. So walked half mile and jogged for 2.5 miles and it was so nice out! I then did leave raking out of the flower garden I have.
I agree TTM is hard!
I was looking at my peak 10 workouts need to get them out and do a couple of them to add into the mix!

hi girls! today was LIHI back bis and shoulders (really like rear delts, though, right?). I kept up with all of cathe's weights and even upped the 10 lb bi finishers to 13 lbs. tomorrow I am thinking of super cuts to mix things up a bit. did flextrain last Friday and had missed that one.

renee-- I am so sorry you had another headache! I hope it was the only one! our nice weather seems to be gone for the next few days-- headed back to highs in the 40s.

Gosh so many DVDS I want to do and not enough time lol I want to do flex train to! I did power hour today since I wanted to do a total body weight workout. I really fried everything but Geez I still can not go heavy at all on my squats and my lunges! I wish I never got my feet operations I think it made everything worse! I used to squat some serious weights but after that the balance was off so bad I hated doing lower body that I didn't do it. No I am so week there! I did 40 pounds for squats but had to stop early and the lunges Cathe uses 30 I only used 20! And i still could not finish the lunges because I can't balance well and it hits my knees and feet to stay up there lol. Oh well I guess maybe I should get out great glutes and the ones she uses light weights in I guess. Just really frustrating!

I want to do supercuts to! See to much stuff to do and not enough time to do it! [emoji14]!! Today is beautiful again outside! So yesterday and today is really pretty! It puts me in a better mood for sure.
I had listened to Jeremy camps new cd during my jog Sunday and it made me cry and it was a good cry but it was just inspirational and nice. The song was when I get home. I just kept thinking that one day I'll see Ryan again and how much I just love him and miss him so much but it gave me hope.
Okay well enough of that I don't want to cry again.

Ok, I'm done with Insanity Max 30! I did Max Out Cardio today and felt like it was just more of the same. I didn't even bother with the abs. I just wasn't motivated and practically dreading the workout! WHat got me thru was that it was only 30 min! I may or may not try Max Out Tabata, but I don't know if I can do all the plank/burpee/tricep push up work.

I did low impact HIIT one and two premix from RWH. It was fun! I can do the extreme if it is not high impact. It didn't bother my feet or knees. So it was good and I did sweat! It was hard but not near as hard as what I thought it would be to do both. I think I want to add this on once a week. Yesterday was pure strength and tomorrow a 3 mile jog walk jog! I went to doctor today for follow up and he said all looks good to go however I do have a yeast infection and I kind of new that. I have not had that since I was 9! And that was because of bubble baths! That's strange so looked it up and I see people who had hysterectomy seem to be prone to them!! My gosh one thing after another! Lol
Oh well took a pill it's only one? I never heard of only one pill but that is what I got from pharmacy! It is one pill and it's supposed to get rid of it. Wow how things change.
Anyway it was good doing a harder intensity today

Oh no lady Lep! You guys are having it hard this year on sickness! Hate the stomach virus! Get rest and hope u feel better soon.
I did 3.5 miles today run with very short walk brakes per Jeff Galloway lol ! I am reading a book how to keep running till you are 100!! Lol it is talking about preventing overtraining and enjoying being out there. Good book oh also has you to focus on posture as u run and has some drills to do later on. I think it will be good to try for awhile till I lose this weight off my feet. I did rwh both 1 and 2 last night low impact I was surprised! It was fun!
