Taking it to the Max-- June 2013 thru...

hi girls! today for me was x10 cardio blast and then bryan kest power yoga 3: sweat. my feet were killing me in x10! not sure what the deal is. yesterday I did supercuts with no issues. wondering if it is from all the extra walking I have been doing lately. it was painful, though, and of course I kept going anyway! hoping the hour of yoga afterward helped stretch out/heal whatever it was. not sure what I will do tomorrow...

ladylep-- I am so sorry you guys are sick again!! how awful! I hope you feel better soon-- you guys have had too much sickness to deal with! and it was so nice to have a date night! those barely happen these days-- we need to take time for more of them. hugs and feel better!

renee-- sounds like you are doing great! I have done both low impacts and like them-- I think it was more intense doing both the low then a high and a low, if that makes any sense at all? I also notice that when I am planning on doing a low impact hiit in addition to the plyo ones, the plyo doesn't seem as awful as when I am just doing the plyo alone. guess I must pace myself more! bizarre. the book sounds good :). how are all your little fur babies doing?

Katie I wonder y your feet hurt? That is why it is hard for me to get into a hard all out plyo! I want to challenge my heart and lungs and can but my feet can't take it so in order to get through the whole thing or at least not all reps and stretch foot but last all the way through the workout then I keep going. But like with the RWH low impact workout it didn't bother my feet so I actually could dip lower and move faster and keep up and had a really nice sweat going. But man I know mine is the extra weight I gained! I know people with PF isn't all heavy but it can irritate PF if you have it. I know you are not heavy or anything like that but I am saying this is what my problem is. I know cause 10 pounds ago it was not bothering me and last year 10 pounds heavier It was.
I wonder if yours is heel Spurs! Again people think heel Spurs is PF but it is NOT you can have spur and not PF or PF and no Heel spur. However at times a heel spur can cause PF in some people if that makes sense? Cause I have PF but I do not have a heal spur of I did it would explain it better. But that is what make me think I am to heavy to be jumping on my feet. I know I am not THAT heavy some say. But for my feet I am. They have been through to much already! X10 seems to hurt my feet anyway! Yet hard strikes does not [emoji6]. Don't understand that one lol.

Yesterday I ran 3 miles I a park it was nice. I am seeking out different places. Today will be total body weight again. What is a fav of you guys? I wish she made a total body weights in RWH or x train!! Like burns sets or the LIHL upper. But it isn't any premixes for total body. So thinking I wonder if she will do a muscle max 2 or push pull 2 or a supersets 2 I need another total body heavy weights. I want to work all muscle groups two times in a week and get cardio in four to five times.

I am so frustrated, you know my sisters talk about no one calling but when u do call they never answer. They use to call me all the time and it kind of was irritating now since my son past away they never call me. I tried to call one of them whom I am closer to or was and it was three times all day and she never answered. Of course on fb they are always saying if you need me.. Blah blah and saying stuff but I think at times it is for show or something and I am being serious. I guess I should have trusted my instincts and not expect to much since I wasn't grown up around them. After 8 years old.

Oh well it's just me and hubby. Ok enough woo is me lol!! Got to get ready for work! See you lovely ladies later!! Or ttyl I mean

Did high reps today. Nice burn! It is endurance so I didn't go heavy it was light to medium weights. I really feel my shoulders!
Hello Katie Ladylep and Caitlin! Hope everyone got the workout in. Tomorrow will be actually six days in a row finally! That was my goal ! To stay on schedule six days and rest on seventh. Saturday will be rest day

Way to go Renee!

Unfortunately still not workout for me. I'm still in bed. I did get up to feed the kids and try to pick up the kitchen a bit. But I may have over did it because my stomach doesn't feel so good. All I've eaten the last day is toast with butter, applesauce and a banana, very little water. Not very good, I guess technically it is clean because the bread is while wheat and no sugar, some honey maybe. Nd the applesauce is unsweetened organic.

It's snowing and the slopes close on Sunday. I was hoping we'd get in one more day tomorrow but it's just not going to happen.

Hey are any of you on the Cathe FB closed group page? If so, how do you like it? Not that I need one more thing to post on...

hi girls! today was LIHI CST. yesterday I did lean legs and abs for a change and also as my feet and ankles are still super sore. I don't know what it is from, renee, but I am bummed! I have had plantar fasciitis before, due to my extremely flat feet, but this is different. yesterday and today it has been intense in my ankles on both sides-- it actually kind of hurts to walk down stairs :-(. I don't know if it's from all the plyo I have been doing, or the added walking with bugsy? tomorrow should be a rest day, but will probably have to take that on sunday instead as Nygel has to perform at a church service early that day. I am thinking I will do low impact hiit, maybe double it if I have the time and my feet/ankles cooperate!

renee-- I am sorry about your sisters! I know people like that for sure. way to go on all the workouts! I really like high reps, but rarely do it, for some reason. that is a nice total body workout, though! do you have travel fit? that would work, too, as it only uses the band, and slide and glide, which uses the firewalker loop. I like both of those!

ladylep-- I am so sorry you are still sick!! wish you could go ski! we have no snow here, and I hope it stays that way! hoping you feel better soon! I am on that group, I think. sometimes I check it more than others, and am an infrequent poster there, but I do like seeing what everyone is up to.

me again! got in rwh low impact hiit 1 and 2. my feet were aching on some of the moves in hiit 1 (football runs and one or two others), but otherwise seemed okay. off to take alec to the Schubert club competition finals and imala to a violin lesson.

I finally defeat well enough to do a wo today! Unfortunately I couldn't complete it. I did Slide and Glide premix cardio and stretch about 31 min, but at around 15 min, I started to slow with the burpees, finally at 17 min I skipped to the cool down. Bummed that I'm still not up to it, but glad I knew when to stop. Well, I did lose about 5 pounds while sick! So I'm going to try to keep my calicoes/points reasonably low and try to keep losing. There are about 9 weeks until Memorial Day, so I'm aiming to lose 9-18 by then. It will be hard, but we don't have on bday in May but no other "events".

Today was a catch up day with laundry and cleaning and meal planning. And I made a big pot of chicken noodle soup, better with brown rice, but I didn't think of it until too late. But I stopped at one serving! And only had half the amount of bread that I was planning on and I felt satisfied. There were also veggies and hummus. I still have 7 pts left, and I need to decide if I'm going to spend them on the iced brownies my mom brought over or not eat anything but fruit or just have chips and salsa. I'm going to make that my 'go-to' food I think with hot salsa and unsalted chips, hard to over eat!

I'm not sure what my wo's will look like this week. I think I'm going to try to do the other half of SnG or yoga. This week? I'm not sure if I want to go back to max 30 (they never sent me the email to return, I need to call them Monday) or jump into a RWH rotation or make it up as I go along. :)

Katie it may be the plyo! I hate to say it but when I researched the PF when u have it it starts bothering the ankles to. I hurt in the ankles on the outside of them on some days if I run to many days in a row or to much jumping. That is y I can not do HIIT plyo more then two days in a row I have to add in a low impact one day then a weight workout the next to give two days for feet to rest. It sucks!!

I I think u can lose some pounds by then I bet. Didn't you say you have the containers from the 21 day fit? Maybe try that again ?

I spoke to soon Thursday! My plan was to come home and do a workout on Friday after work but I guess we was so busy at work by the time I got finished my knee was hurting! The side of it and the back of the knee so I thought I need to rest it so I will resume on Sunday with a long jog walk jog or some dvd. Depends on the weather. I just know, when I am not exercising I have to watch my intake or I will gain! I am trying to lose . I feel like a bloated toad! No pig, a bloated big! I hate this feeling. I know my knees are screaming for the love of God women eat some carrots!

Renee, I don't own the containers, but I know all the details so I could still follow it. But the containers are more rigid in what to eat but many times more WW points than my daily. I'm going to try to keep w/in my daily and try not to use many of my weekly or activity pts, if I can. I did have that brownie last night but it was on the smaller side and I ate it slowly and stopped there! That's what I need to do, really enjoy my smallish desserts then stop.

hi girls! today was a rest day for me since I worked out yesterday. we had to be at church services early for Nygel to play with the cello choir. anyway, my feet probably appreciated it! I did walk bugsy, though. I am super bummed that we are getting another snowstorm here! we haven't had much in the way of snow this winter, but the yard had finally dried out where the dogs weren't getting muddy anymore. now it will be covered in snow again :-(. I want spring! blech.

ladylep-- I am so glad you are feeling better, and also that you listened to your body on the workout! I pushed myself too hard once after a sickness, and paid the price with getting worse. anyway, good job and also on eating a small dessert. I ate way too many whole foods chocolate chip cookies last night (they are secretly vegan!). that was stupid.

renee-- have you tried the socks for plantar fasciitis while working out? I am seriously considering buying some off amazon. if it helped, I would be so happy. "my knees are screaming for the love of god, eat some carrots!" totally cracked me up! my whole body was probably shouting that last night as I ate cookie after cookie!

Got in 15 min barre bonus from XTrain Legs and then YogaMax. It felt really good to stretch like that! But my right shoulder is really bugging me again. I've set up my wo's todo the whole LIS series for the rest of the month. I hope to do entire wo's not premixes but who knows what time and energy will look like. I've never done the whole series.

CDawg woke up in the middle of the night last night throwing up. :(. When will it end?

Katie, I'm ready for spring now. Started thinking about what to plant in my garden!

I am sure yoga Max is something I really need to add every week and I say that a lot but never do! So many workouts but I don't have the time to do all I want to do! If I did I am falling apart anyway lol. I want to do the LIS as well but every time I try to I think about the dreaded music on there! I don't no why I don't like it o much. I need a speaker that is really nice and load to hook to my phone so I can use voice only option I guess. I hope you get to do the whole workouts in!

Today for me was a new workout I got from KCM it was one I read a lot about train like a contender TLC is what it is called. I did workout 1 on it and workout 2. It was intermediate for sure so not to hard and it was mostly boxing and low impact but my foot started hurting anyway Grr of course I kept going to get finished. I had a nice sweat going and it was fun. I was supposed to jog but knew if my feet was hurting my knees was not going to be good either and as I was doing the workout I could tell I made the right choice! My knees was wonky. Tomorrow will be a muscle max I think not ire yet or polite strength again and see if I am up in weights this week.

I was able to have another smallish brownie and stop last night! I had the points and only used 3 of my weeklies.

Today I did low impact challenge. I had to pause a bunch of times to deal with Little K or one of the other boys. But I did it! I was contemplating starting the LIS rotation from Nov '11 rotation (-first wo Afterburn) or the RWH/LIS rotation (first wo was low impact 1 abs 2) but both first workouts seemed more intended than I felt I could do today. LIC was a good choice for me today. [emoji2][emoji2]

I had thought about an Xtrain/ LIS rotation or RWH LIS rotation! Since I can't do HIIT to much! But today my rigt foot now on the bottom for some reason at random steps feels like a knife is stabbing my foot when I step on it! Hurt so bad before lunch walking a patient out I almost twisted my ankle it caught me off guard and I almost yelled loud! See my foot that was PF is the left foot! Like what the heck is going on here? Left PF right foot left knee? Really? I did one workout yesterday after two day Rest you'd think that would be good and my body would be ready to handle more. I guess if I'm still hurting by time I get home I will go and ice both feet , what else can I do? Maybe I'll try an upper body workout sitting so I can do my six days! Gosh! What in the world! would helped.

Wow, Renee! I'm so sorry to hear about your foot, well both feet! I guess, rest your lower body and work on UB and maybe you can do wo's like butt and guts or Legs or turbo barre (if you can get thru the music) or PLB?

hi girls! today for me was LIHI legs plus abs 1 and some yoga. my feet survived! I think if the plyo is shorter in duration and mixed with weights, I do okay. I did order some socks for plantar fasciitis from amazon-- they get here Wednesday. I will let you know if they help, renee!

we are having similar issues, renee. ugh! this getting older stuff stinks. have you been stretching enough? I really upped my stretches (in addition to yoga) of my calves and feet the past few days. there is a yoga posture that I think is really beneficial, and I will try to describe. sit with your knees down on the floor and your feet tucked under your butt (butt on your heels) and turn your toes so that they are pushing into the ground beneath you. to take it to the next level of intensity. take both your arms and reach them behind you in a chest expansion. this really gets into the feet and toes and stretches the whole bottom of the foot. it has helped me, I think, and hoping it helps you! also, the RWH legs and upper body circuit may be doable for you after you heal up a bit, since the plyo is more broken up between the weights. hoping you feel better in the morning!

ladylep-- no more puking! what is the deal? hope he is better today? sounds like you still are getting in workouts, though!

I may do some LIS as well, depending on how my feet work these days! I dislike the music, too, but the workouts are great (though I completely dread afterburn!).

Katie, glad you were able to get LIHI in! No puking today, Little K has a cold, runny/stuffy nose. :(

Kids were playing basketball in the house, you know the kind where you put the hoop over the door. CDawg got it for his bday. I don't like balls in the house for fear of breaking something. Well, today they broke the picture over the mantle. The rule was only in the front hall, for shooting not just throwing around. Well, they broke the rule and threw it around and something broke. Barely 2 weeks after they broke the car door glass! Hubby and I have discussed them working it off to pay the $100 deductible. But he fears it won't do any good, because they have no regard for anything that doesn't belong to them particularly B (8), I guess we are all feeling better if they are fighting again...everyone but Little K did spend some time lying down because of their stomach hurting, myself included but for me it was more about being tired. I took a bout 50 min rest time and snoozed in chunks a bit.

Katie good job on x10 and yoga! I'm sure it felt good an hour of yoga! I have been doing the stretch for the feet. I hope it helps. Please do try those socks! Can't wait to hear how they work.

Ladylep I understand how you feel about kids seeming as if they have no regards to other people's things. I don't get it but my boys was like that to an extent to! When they was young especially, it seemed especially to be my things or things in the house [emoji19]! Even down to an exercise equipment! I had a body bar from the firm just got it had it setting to the side for the next day to use to, only used it once and some how I grabbed it to do my dvd and it was broke! One of the boys had taken it and played ninja with it. It wasn't till years later I found out it was the oldest who had it in his hands but both were playing ninjas. So they knew not to touch it. The good news is evidentially they will grow out of it as long as you keep saying how wrong it is. So good job on making them pay for it. That is good! But don't feel to bad maybe it's boys and that age?

I did body max 2 premix of cardio and weights on Tuesday and Wednesday I did Cathes Supercuts it was fine for my feet I might start doing more of those type workouts.

hi girls. today for me was xtrain burn sets upper body. I figured I would give my feet a break! it felt much easier after doing the LIHI weights! I was able to use 20 lbs on all my bis exercises, and used 10 lbs and 13s for the shoulder/rear delt stuff where cathe uses 8 lbs! even the tricep pushups didn't feel so bad. I am planning on a hiit for tomorrow, so I will try out those socks, renee! hoping they help!

renee-- great job on the workouts! my feet are the same! seems the shorter bursts are fine, and the lower impact stuff for the most part. that x10 really kills them, though!

so, so sad for all those people on that plane. I still can't believe the co-pilot would have done such a thing. so horrible! sometimes I hate hearing/seeing the news. it also makes me worry even more for all the flying the kids will be doing this summer:(.
