Strength in Numbers

Julie Great job on your spin! You are really getting good use out of that spin bike. A ride in St Lucia sounds wonderful!
I just love it when a workout seems to fly by, especially a long one like SJP! It sounds like some more Rocky arms moment for you with the 1/4 turns in DWP :D Sorry your weather wasn't so great for your picnic, but at least you were outside instead of in the office!

Cheryl I guess great minds think alike with us doing the same workout, or maybe great rotations ;) I definitely plan to drive this car as long as I can. One day I was in a store and I came out and some guy was hanging around my car. I was a little worried, especially when I unlocked it and he started walking toward me. I was thinking he was trying to sell me something but no, he wanted to know if I was interested in selling my car! I told him it's got 200k miles on it and I plan on driving it for at least 100k more!
You're right about funky town helping with that first set of 1/4 turns. That wears off fast though  OMG, I think hockey season is the longest sport season isn't it? If you make the playoffs you are still playing in June. When we were in the playoffs we were outside tailgating in shorts. That just doesn't seem right for hockey!
Wow, quite the show you got yesterday! It sounds like those people are definitely exhibitionists. Holy cow. That creeps me out!

Janie Oh boy, you are in for some great family time here! Hooray! I hope you enjoy every minute of it. Great job on your walk with Rolly!

This morning for me was Circuit Blast followed by no equipment abs. I picked this rotation because it had circuit blast in it and I had only done the whole workout once before. It's a good one too. Time to get my head back in the clouds....:D Have a great day everyone!

Pam

This morning I did High Step Challenge! Not much to say after that one. It takes your breath away for sure. I guess I should say I did the hover squats at the end successfully (yes Pam there were Rocky arms after that one)!

Cheryl Great job on DWP! Yep those ¼ turn jumps are bad! I don’t know what are worse the ¼ turn jumps or the ½ turn jumps in plyo legs. I’m not about to do them both back to back to find out though! Wow, your coworker sure has a view. I am nowhere near a window so all I get to see is cube walls.

Janie Great job on your walk with Rolly! Sounds like the next several weeks are going to be really fun for you with your family. That is great you will be getting to spend so much time with them. Hope you will be able to get to spend some time with them at the new beach house!

Pam Great job on Circuit Blast! I have never done that one its entirety either but I may do it next week sometime. Sounds like it is a goodie which I was a little worried about because it seems short for a Cathe workout. The DVD of St. Lucia was nice but it had more jungle than beach. I am on the lookout for some more because I like looking at places I have never been and dreaming while pedaling away.

Have a great day!

Pam You are so funny forgetting about the Mozzarella on the stove :p are you going to try one more time later on?? I'm glad you got to eat the lasagna though. Something similar happened to me yesterday, I sliced the tofu and put it in the oven I forgot to put the timer, I was there in front of the stove playing Mr Giggle then I was smelling something funny, I look up and saw the oven then I remembered about the tofu, darn it it was burn:mad: so funny now... DH went to the Dr last Monday he removed the stitches now all I can see is the scarf  he is allowed to do as much as he can handle BUT putting the arm over his head other then that his fine and yeah he did vacuum last Sunday :D Ohhh I do warm up with Cathe then I leave the TV on whit Cathe's picture, I know, I'm crazy that way!!! Good, you picked a rotation I bet is a lot of fun ones on that one beginning with LIC good one.

Julie Good job doing SJP. Awww so sorry for your mom:( and so sad what you told your mom too. It wasn't hard to keep it moderate with Step moves but the next day I did Athletic step my favorite one ever that one was so hard to keep my feet still:p I love the last combo and I just wanted to let it go and do it, but I didn't I even stopped for a few seconds to let my HR to drop a little bit that I'd hit again, I have to keep my HR on check if I want to see results, yesterday DH told me "I think your butt is getting big, muscular, round" he thought I was going to fight back you know "getting big" then he say "Your legs are looking more muscular too":D so I know he was checking me out from my waist down;)

Cheryl It wasn't that hard doing SM but doing AS I wanted to fly:p Let see, the first 4 weeks not that much diff, but now I have... Something funny I was telling DH about me noticing my waist smaller for a few days then it hit me that what I was getting was curves:eek: NOOOOOO so I did measure my waist before when I first was doing the 12 week challenge with the FB girls I was 33 inches now I am 30 I'm not sure if I like it because my butt still round hips I was 38 now I'm 37 I haven't weight my self yet, in phase 1 we do abs only once per week and I can see my abs, so this second phase I think is going to do a lot of good.... Hope so.:D Good job doing disc 7 chest/shoul/biceps Nice job you are getting stronger, isn't feel good?! Love it.

Janie Good job doing TBS and walking Rolly. How is the house work doing?

Pam OMG you make me lough yes and no, I was kind of having a bad day with DH and I didn't feel like going to the computer, then yesterday I got up early and did legs and I went to the City I got invited to, one of the american fam got their car so she invite me to come over and I figured is better that being home and seen a grumpy old men.... OOOOH also Stacy got sick and Monday I took her to the Dr she has Tonsillitis, so besides having a bad day with you know "who" My day wasn't long enough:mad: Good job doing Hiit DWP those 1/4 jumps are so hard I don't blame you.

JulieSounds like a fun ride, so glad that you enjoyed!

Yesterday I did legs and then I went to the City I got up early at 6 am to do the workout I was like wow!!! I can do it, so today I got up at 6:30 I thought well this is not enough time for me to workout so I took Sam for a walk it was real nice out side, warm and sunny, I bet it was cool because I could see my breath and Sam's but oh boy in the morning we saw a lot more kangaroos so Sam got a good exercise today chasing them... I thought that my day would be perfect but NOT I haven't finish my workout yet, I did arms this morning biceps/triceps & abs then stopped to eat mid day snack, posting here waiting a little bit and now I'm going to do 30 min cardio OMG I'm laughing at my self now I stopped to eat hahaha!!!!!!! Ok ladies have a great day:D

My darling grandson is here with us. Such an adorable baby. I put a diaper on him and took him in the hot tub with me. At only 98 degrees. He loved it! However the diapers they brought with him took in about 5 times the water. Can you imagine a diaper that full? It was falling off him so I just took it off and placed it on the deck. It exploded with all these little slimy wet crystals all over the place. What a mess to clean up. Later after that event had passed put him in a dry diaper. When I thought it was time to change him again, I did, only this time there were these little slimy crystals in his diaper. It (the diaper) happened to tear and again, what a mess to clean up. I couldn't wash it away wo easily this time. I hate these diapers. LOL. Hope I have better diaper changing from here on out. We'll see.

As we just got started with out exercises, they (our children and grandson) came on in, so we didn't really even start today. We missed out on our exercises. Not even a walk with Rolly. O well, such as life.

Pam, Great job on CB and ab work.

Julie, Great job on HSC. That is a challenging workout to be sure.

Eunice, Great job on arms, biceps/tris and abs. It's OK to eat. LOL You are soooo funny. Haven't had time for housework. O dear.

Janie

Julie Oh yea, HSC! Love/Hate it :D Those hover squats get the big count downs for sure. OK, so what's the worst: 1/4 turns in DWP, those awful 1/2 turn jumps in plyo legs, hover squats, or 1 arm dips?????! I'm just not sure which I would choose!
Circuit blast is good, but you're right it's pretty short. I think it's a good one to do on a day when you are doing one of the longer ab circuits, or some other add on. It is a good workout though.
I think your cycling DVDs sound great. I would think that the nice scenery would make it go by faster. I would rather have more beach than jungle though!

Eunice I just could NOT believe I forgot about the mozzarella the one time it was looking like it was going to work :eek: I WILL try again though. Oh boy, your tofu experience is much the same. I have to either stand over something the whole time or set a timer because I will always start doing something else and forget all about it. I have burned more than one batch of toasted nuts. WTH is Mr Giggle????
Does DH have a bad scar from the surgery? I bet he was happy to get teh stitches out. Hopefully he isn't trying to do more than he should be, but of course you can tell him vacuuming is always allowed ;) You are so funny, leaving Cathe on the TV :D Did that help you make it through the rest of your workout? Except for when you had to stop to eat of course!! Now that is really funny!
Wow, you have lost 3 inches off your waist??? That is fantastic! Way to go! And nice to hear that DH is noticing the muscles, even if he might not choose the best words to let you know that. Men should understand that telling a woman her butt is getting bigger isn't usually taken as a compliment! Oh sorry to hear that Stacy is sick, hope it doesn't last too long.
Great job on legs and your walk with Sam. Now you are joining us working women getting up early to do your workouts. I love doing mine first thing and then having it done for the day. If I don't accomplish anything else all day at least I've done that :rolleyes:

Janie So glad to hear that you are enjoying your grandson. It sounds like that boy needs some swim diapers for the hot tub. I have had experience with that nasty diaper gel before, it is not much fun. I hope the rest of your diaper experiences are better! I wouldn't worry about not getting your workout in if I were you, you are enjoying some quality time with your family and you just can't beat that.

This morning for me was Kick Punch and Crunch again. I hardly ever do this one and now I've done it twice in a week. I think that's enough kickboxing for me for awhile. My stomach was growling early into it but I didn't stop to eat Eunice :p;) Maybe I should have! Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

This morning I did Imax 3! Not quite as fun as Imax 2 (boo no Jeannie Hops!) but definitely a head band wringer!

Eunice Great job on Legs the other day and biceps/triceps/abs + cardio! That is funny that you stopped to eat. Sounds like Sam had fun chasing kangaroos! Every time you mention that, I get a visual picture in my head of him running after them. I laugh every time. That is cool your DH noticed your hard work paying off. I’m glad he noticed he might not have worded his “butt” comment well the first time. I would be mad if my DH said my butt was getting bigger!

Janie Oh well on missing your workout this once. I’m sure you had a better time with your family, except for those darn diapers. I can only imagine how big and heavy that diaper must have been. I know they make swimmers which are special diapers made for swimming. Poor little guy with those icky slimy crystals all over him.

Pam Great job on KPC! That is such a goodie and one of my favorites. Although I agree that doing it twice in one week is a little over kill. Hmmm! What is the worst Cathe move ever? Maybe we should start a post about that and get others’ take on it. I honestly think it might be the ¼ jump turns in DWP because it is evil that you do them 4 times!

Have a great day!

Janie So you are babysitting? wow! poor baby with those ugly dippers I bet that is very uncomfortable but soooo fun for grandma! Oh well, you'll get to do your workout next time, there is always next time. I'm glad that you think I'm funny I don't know why but the girl that I went to the city we were laughing and she kept telling me you are so funny!! I' glad, I really didn't know that I was that way I always thought that I had more of grumpy personality:eek:

Pam I think the Jeanie jumps are the hard one hahaha!! Not really but the ones you don't like! Soo funny how both of us get to have the same experiences, the same injuries, NOT the same fun, but I hope one day I can get to that level. Its was expensive to try to make mozzarella 4 times???? :p OMG Mr Giggle, I got it for my itouch just a silly game that can take my attention for a good time, so much that I didn't even look up to see what I had in front of me. :D Yes DH has a scar now, I think he will do ok, his dyeing to go workout but he knows that he needs to wait a little bit more longer. I told him that he can start practicing to do some exercises by doing some chores at home :p I know I think that way Cathe is watching me Lol! DH told me "you need to time it so you don't stop to eat then go back again" oh well, but I like to do everything I'm supposed to do! So funny because it didn't bother me the way he told me, to me was more like "are you checking me out?' but your right he should know that, but he won't think about ways to say it nicely he would just say it he should know better huh?!. Yes, now that the weather is going to start changing I really need to get something off my way early before it gets hot and taking Sam is a good one just because is a short walk so I still get home to get the girls ready for school talking of which is over now today was the last day of school, they are going to be off for two weeks, Brandy is going to a camp for a week so let see if we do something this time. Hahahaha!!!!!! ok now you are making me laugh you've stop to eat!! do you eat anything before working out? wow you are doing a lot of kickboxing even if you don't like it that much! good for you!

Julie Good job doing Imax3 Not an easy one that's for sure... Have you seen Sam's video that I have on my FB page, is when he was puppy-baby the day we got him he was sleeping and he was snoring so loud and we got it on video, I'm going to try to get a video of him chasing the Kangaroos, his getting way to used to. I know huh! if DH would it mentioned that in some other time probably I would be mad at him, but he was telling me right after my workout and I was still wearing my workout pants, tide pants:eek: P.S. I'm still waiting on your pictures!

Well another long day for me.. I got up early to take Sam out again I think is the best thing to do only because all of those Kangaroos:confused: this time I made DH to come with me I thought that Sam would listen to him, but guess not when he wants to be a dog he won't listen no one... I worked out right away when the girls left to school so I did finish my whole WO, no stopping to eat this time, I did shoulders and 30 min cardio I did Athletic Step again I skipped the warm and went straight to the first combo.. Guess what??? since all I did was shoulders then I can really focus on my most weak body part and last week and this week I did military presses 20Lb oh yeah, oh yeah!!;) oh yeah so that was tired, I could feel my muscle shoulders getting warm!! question, do you guys remember which dvd's are kind of mild, moderate, step/cardio? I can always check my watch to see that I do 30 min only any suggestions???

Something else I ordered some items from walmart.com and I received them today, 2 huge boxes with paper towel, napkins, tooth paste, coffee, cereal, popcorn, cereal I got 12 boxes of them for $38.00 I did save a lot of money here each box of cereal cost $7.00 so yes!!! I'm excited :D:D

I have to post early today since we are leaving for OH in an hour. I did an extra long workout since I will be stuck in a car for 8-9 hours. Yuck! I did some spinning for 55 min. I think I have gotten my money's worth from the spin bike. I really am glad I bought it. It has been so worth it. After that, I did Push/Pull. It had been a long time since I did that one and even though I went heavier on my weights than last time, I think I could have gone a little heavier still. I just couldn't remember if the sets were normal count or if there were low ends/pulses. It is a really time efficient workout and one you can definitely go pretty heavy on.

Eunice Great job on your shoulder workout and 30 min. of cardio! Yea for the 20 lb military press! I am still at 15 lbs. Working on it but I think shoulders are the hardest to increase weights on for some reason. I would love to see the video of Sam on your FB. I'll have to check it out when I get back from OH. As far as moderate step workouts, Basic Step and Low Impact Step are both around 30-45 minutes are more moderate.

Have a great day.

PS I am not taking my laptop with me to OH so unless I use one of my family's I probably won't be posting until Monday. Have a great weekend!

I'll have to catch up later. I have a sick grandson with a 102.6 temp. and throwing up.

Will post when I can.

Janie

Julie oh yea, Imax 3 is a goodie, great job. And I agree that it isn't as much fun as Imax 2, DESPITE those Jeannie hops :p
After this mornings workout I have totally changed my opinion on the most evil Cathe move ever. I can't believe I did think of it before, I must have been blacking it out of my memory. No doubt in my mind the most evil of all her moves are the squat drop and rolls in CCC!!!! OH MY! If I had to do those 4 times I think I might die.

Eunice] It sounds like you had a great trip to the city with your friend, I'm glad to hear that! I don't really think the Jeannie hops are hard, I just don't like them. They just feel like they go on forever - maybe that is because we do 128 of them!:confused: The only real expense for making the mozzarella was the milk. One gallon per batch. I got my ricotta out of 2 of the batches so it was a waste of about $6. If I could get it mastered it would make it much cheaper because I pay a lot more than that for 2 pounds of fresh mozzarella!
I guess I will have to check out Mr Giggle. The game that I always play is word wrap. I'm hooked on that one.
I'm glad to hear that DH is behaving himself and not working out yet. I'm sure it must be hard for him to hold back, but I think you have the right idea having him start light (weight wise that is) by doing some of the chores around the house. Sounds like the perfect plan to me! :D I did do a lot of kickboxing, I think I'm done with it for awhile!
Great job on getting Sam's walk in early. It sounds like he was a bad boy again though. It must look really funny chasing kangaroos! It's great exercise for him at least. Can he catch them? Would they hurt him? That would be my only concern. Awesome job getting your whole workout in without having to have a snack in the middle :p Too funny! WOW! 20 pounds for shoulder presses is amazing!! You brute!
How fun getting a big box of stuff, it must've felt like Christmas. Of course that is some boring stuff for Christmas presents though. I don't eat before I workout. Once in a great while if I am REALLY hungry I will eat some yogurt first, but I tend to get cramps if I eat first unless I wait a really long time after to workout. It's best for me to get up and workout and then eat.

hmmm...for 30 minutes I love All Step...it's actually shorter than that though, so I usually repeat the part at the end where she puts all the combos together. It might get your heartrate too high but you could probably tone it down. you could also do the step part of 4DS LIS or even HIS.....I'll let you know if I have any other ideas.

Julie Wow, great job getting that big workout in before your car dride. I bet it made you feel much better about sitting in the car all day. I hope this weekend isn't too difficult, I know it will be long and emotional. We'll be thinking about you! You are definitely getting your money's worth out of that spin bike!

Janie I sure hope that was a typo and the temp is actually 102.6 and not 202.6! Sounds awful, I hope he is feeling better soon. Poor little guy :( You are getting to experience all of the fun aren't you?!

Well today I got so caught up in work that I completely forgot to post. Can you tell I'm enjoying my new job?! :D This morning was CCC again. It sure has been on the calendar a lot lately. I almost subbed it out but for some reason I feel like I'm cheating if I do a different workout than the one on the calendar  Anyway, it was as tough as always....drippiing wet after that one and my face was still bright red 30 minutes later! Now I have to go get all dolled up. We are going to the neighbors for a Hawaii themed dinner so I got us grass skirts and real flower leis from Hawaii :D have a great day everyone!

Pam

Janie I hope your grandson is feeling better. Not fun to have a fever. Those diapers sure don't sound like a lot of fun either. I didn't know they had little crystals in them.

Pam I would be worried too if I saw someone hanging around my car too. I think hockey has one of the longest seasons. We really had only 2 months off before it started up again. You're right that wearing shorts to a hockey game isn't right, you need to be in big winter coats. You must really be enjoying your job if you forgot to post. Enjoy your Hawaii themed party tonight.

Julie Way to go on High Step Challenge. That is a toughie. Yes that is quite the view my co-worker has. Today they were in bed sleeping with no clothes on and the sheets were off . However a little later when I had to walk by there again I noticed that the blinds were closed......ummmm maybe they finally realized that a few hundred people can see them.

Eunice Having curves isn't so bad is it? Your measurements are almost exactly like mine. My waist is 30 inches and my hips are around 38 inches. Keep my posted on your progress in phase 2. Chasing kangaroos would give Sam a really good workout. I can almost picture it.

Today I did STS disk 8 Back and Triceps. I was so tired yesterday that I was in bed by 8 pm and didn't workout and Wednesday we got groceries and by the time we got home and had something to eat it was too late to do anything. I didn't get much cardio in this week but at least I can get the weight work in.

Have a great Saturday.

Cheryl

Cheryl Great job on STS disc 8. I think the weights are more important, so you shouldn't worry as much about not getting cardio in as long as you are still doing your weights.
This morning I slept in until 8:45!! That is the latest I have slept in awhile. I was up at 6, then went back to bed, woke up again at 7:00 and was thinking about getting up and then next thing I knew it was 8:45. I was having some really weird dreams too. This morning was supposed to be Step Blast, but I picked up the disc and was thinking about how much fun Julie had with SJP this week so decided to do that one instead since I haven't done it in so long. I didn't even mind the step part too much, it goes by fast. Julie, wasn't this one that was hard for you to do because of space before you got your new workout room? Hope things are going ok today Julie. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Pam

Pam I think the weights are more important too, but I do miss the cardio. Wow 8:45 you slept in to, I am jealous. I can't remember when I was even in bed until 7 am. SJP is a fun workout it is fun to do one that you haven't done in a while.

Today was disk 9 Legs. One more week until meso 1 is done. After that it was housework and cleaning carpets. Downstairs is done but we have to do upstairs tomorrow. My SIL is coming to stay with us starting next Friday. I need to get the place spiffed up :D.

Cheryl

Our grandson was much better the next day. He left today and I felt a little lost without him. We did enjoy his visit very much. Now we are getting ready for my dad to visit us for 3 weeks. I sure hope everything will be happy for him during his stay. One day at a time. We've never spent that much time together since I was a little girl. And then we didn't know how to communicate with one another. It's a good time to catch up.

No exercise at all since our grandson, but starting Mon. will continue with our exercises.

Pam, Great job on CCC. You are doing very well with that tough one. I love it when my face is red like that. You Know You Are Working When That Happens. LOL.:D Enjoy the Hawaii themed dinner at the neighbors. OOOO, grass skirts and real leis from HI. How Sweet! Post on how that went.

Cheryl, Great job on disc 8, back and triceps. You did good.:)

Eunice, Yep, you have a fantastic personality.

Janie

Julie I know its was a very hard time for you ((((Hugs))))

Pam At least you got something out of those gallons of milk:D If you have time and use the timer I think is a good idea give it another try, hey! you can do it!! I'm going to check your game I'm sure your is harder than mine, mine is just a silly game I'm just obsessed trying to pass level 25:confused: OMG talking about bad boys.... Sam ate one of my imported cereals  I was sooo mad at him that yesterday he stay OUT of the house ALL day long, then again he was just trying the American food! Poor bad boy then when we let him in he was sad just laying on his bed :( I couldn't resisted and I had to come to make him fell better. At first that was my concern as well but they are pretty fast and if I see that the kangaroos are the black tail I won't let him out of the leash but NOT they won't hurt him and he won't catch them either.... well I know it sounds like a lot but if you do those sitting is easier, standing press shoulders never I could never lift that much with the dumbbells but with the barbell I can do 45 Lbs. Thanks for the ideas all the step from 4DS not my favorite and I won't ever pick those, but maybe since it supposed to be mild, moderate those are the perfect workouts for me. Good job doing CCC I know what you mean feeling like cheating, and your neighbors party sounds like fun.

Cheryl What's wrong with your neighbors?? creepy huh? I'm not sure if I like to have curves, before I was more square-sh type of body so I got use to it, I just need to loose a inch or two on my hips to be even.. So we have the same body measurements that's very interesting:D Good job doing disc 8, I'm learning that you can always skip the cardio do only weights eat the right kind of food and everything should be fine. Also good job doing disc 9 legs, so you are almost done with meso 1, wow that was fast.

Pam I'm glad that you got to sleep in, and change the dvd too, did you have a lot of fun too?

Janie So glad that your grandson is much better, what a relief... I'm sure that its going to be so easy for you to communicate with your dad now that you are adult, I found the same happen to me with my mom now that I'm old and I have my own girls I can talk to her so much easier and it feels so good too.

Saturday I did legs it was a hard one I was supposed to do supper sets in that one and it was fun, I cannot believe how much time I can spent doing one body part at the time:confused: 4-55 min per body part then 30 min cardio is a good workout, today I have chest and 30 min cardio, it should be fun.
DH took Brandy to school she is going to a camp yayayay!!!! so lets see what we have this week that we have only two kids at home.
I don't know if I told you that I was having some real hard time with DH we have being together for almost 10 years and hardly have any troubles but this time we did and I wasn't feeling good about it, I felt like if he broke my heart:( I know I'm such a girl... yesterday he talk to me and say he was sorry for what had happen and that he was going to try to be a better husband, HE IS THE BEST HUSBAND EVER so I felt so bad yesterday I wasn't even hungry and I just felt like crying the whole time, I really missed him so much but now we are fine and I'm so glad to have him back, the sad part for me is that there was no one to talk about and I was dieing :( but all that is past now lets work for a better now! Have a great Sunday/Monday here!!

Janie Glad to hear that your grandson is feeling better. It should be fun to have your dad for a few weeks. So will you be doing TBS on Monday :D.

Eunice Well at least they are only my at work neighbours. I will be starting my last week of meso 1 tomorrow. It has gone by fast. Good job on your leg workout and cardio. Sorry to hear that you and DH were having some troubles. It does sound like you got it sorted out though. It is hard when things aren't going smoothly but most couples go through that every once in a while but knowing that doesn't make it any easier.

Have a great Monday everyone.

Cheryl

Today I picked up my dad and got him settled in here. It's so good to have him around. He brought all kinds of tomatoes, zucchini and butter squash. Dad and I will be very busy the next several days baking bread, freezing tomatoes and cooking the butter squash for parts of our dinners. When and if tomorrow Escrow calls, we'll drop everything and go over there to sign the final papers. Then we will receive the keys on Wedn. or Thurs. The plan is to get the things we found damaged and repaired before we go there to clean it and make it ours. So, between all that we will be very busy for a few weeks. It also seems that the weather will not be cooperating very well. Rain and Wind, I hear. That's OK.

Eunice, Great job on Sat. with the legs and a great plan for today's workouts. Oh Eunice, ((((((HUGS)))))). Joey and I have been married over 20 years and sometimes things like that happen to us as well. Marriage is Hard! It won't be easy sometimes. I'm glad you guys are strong enough in your love that you can continue on. If you want to talk e-mail or here, please feel free to do it. I'll post a message in your box and tell you my e-mail so if you want you can chat at me. (((((hugs))))).

Well I am back from OH. It was a difficult weekend but it is past us all now. Unfortunately my mom still has much to go through with closing out the estate which might not be done until early next year. I did get some working out done over the weekend at the hotel. I did 45 minutes of interval runs on the treadmill on Saturday and on Sunday I just played around with the elliptical and recumbent bike. I had never been on an elliptical or recumbent before so I took it easy just to see how they worked. This morning I did Circuit Blast and a 45 minute bike ride. I stayed home from work today because we got in really late last night and I wanted time to get some laundry and unpacking done.

Pam Great job on CCC! That HI themed party sounds fun. I would love to go to something like that. So did you DH wear the grass skirt? Great job on SJP! That one was the one that was hard for me before I got my exercise room. I did have space issues but now I have plenty of room and don’t have to work around furniture anymore.

Cheryl Great job on disc 8! In bed by 8 pm! That’s not early is it? I agree with Pam. The weights are the most important part in my mind. They keep help you maintain muscle mass and they do increase your heart rate so probably work out your heart too (although probably not as much as cardio but still). Great job on disc 9! I love those legs discs in Meso 1. They go by so fast and are full of variety.

Janie Glad your grandson got better so quickly. 102 temp is scary. That is so sweet that you didn’t know what to do with yourself without your grandson. I can tell you certainly love him. I agree with Eunice. I didn’t have good talks with my dad when I was younger but now we talk about a lot of different things. Plus with all that baking, freezing, and cooking, you should definitely be finding things to discuss. Sounds like your dad has a pretty big garden to bring all of that stuff to you.

Eunice Great job on your workouts with legs followed by cardio and then chest & back and cardio! Hope you are finding something to help you keep the cardio moderate. I am glad to see you and DH talked. Talking is so important in a relationship. It took my DH and I about 8 years of marriage to figure that out. We had some really tough times but worked through them by talking it out. I know you guys will be fine. Hang in there.

Have a great day!

Cheryl I understand how you feel, I would miss my cardio too if I wasn't able to get it on. Hopefully you were able to get some in over the weekend. Yes, can you believe sleeping until 8:45, I could hardly believe it when I looked at the clock! DH does it all the time, but I'm usually up and have my workout done and then bring him coffee afterward!

Great job on disk 9 and on getting your place all spiffed up for your SIL visit!

Janie So glad to hear that your grandson was feeling better, but sorry you didn't get to spend more time with him. :( Luckily now you have your dad there to fill that void! It sounds like you too are going to have a fabulous time and certainly have a lot to do! The fresh veggies sound wonderful, it sounds like you will be having some great feasts!

Eunice Oh no, that bad boy Sam eating your cereal! It really is hard to stay mad at them though when they are looking so sad and pathetic, isn't it? I think that they just can't help themselves when the temptation is there! So what is the story with the black tail kangaroos, are they the mean ones?
Hmmm....I don't think I could do 45 pound shoulder presses even if I was sitting! My shoulders are weak weak weak! I usually can't even use 15 pound dumbbells. Maybe I will have to try some sitting ones to see how I do!
I always think the MMA Boxing workout is pretty easy too, but I think it's a little longer than 45 minutes....

Great job on legs on Saturday! It is hard to believe that you can work one body part for so long. What did you do for your 30 minute cardio on Sunday? I hope you get to do some fun things while the girls are off school and Brandy is at camp. How long will she be there? a week? Awwwwwww, sorry to hear that you and DH have been going through some rough times. It sounds like you had a good talk though and that is a good thing. I bet he has been feeling pretty stressed with the surgery and everything weighing on him so maybe now that that is behind him things will get back to normal. Awwww....you should feel like you can always talk to your friends here. You can always send a PM if you want to talk, we are here for you!

Julie I'm glad that difficult weekend is behind you now and that you were able to get some workouts in to relieve some of the stress. It won't be much fun for your mom closing out the estate, I know those things can drag on for so long! How did you like the elliptical and recumbent bike? I am a big fan of ellipticals but not too crazy about the recumbent bike. It is harder for me to get my heartrate up on those for some reason. Great job on Cricuit blast and your bike ride this morning! How did you like Circuit Blast? This was your first time doing the whole thing, right?
DH did wear the grass skirt (over his shorts), but wouldn't wear the coconut bra that I got for him. Oh well  The leis were soooo pretty too. I was surprised that I could get them direct from Hawaii for such a reasonable price. Of course the shipping wasn't so reasonable
How nice that you don't have any space issues with your workouts anymore and you get to enjoy those fun ones like SJP. :D

This morning for me was circuit max. That used to be one of my top favs so it was fun to do it because it had been quite awhile. Yesterday was a rest day but we did get to ski so that was nice! The Hawaiian party on Friday was fun, but everyone was kind've mellow. There is a group of 4 couples in the neighborhood that we do dinner with about once a month. Earlier in the week last week 2 of the couples had a falling out so there were only 3 couples there on Friday. I think everyone was a little bit down because of it so it was a lot mellower than our normal get togethers. It's my turn to do the next dinner and I am worried because there is no way I can only invite one of the couples. I'm really hoping that they work things out soon. ;) I hope everyone is having a great day!

Pam

Spent all day on processing tomatoes, squash and zucchini. Most is in the freezer and ready to use when we need it. It was so generous of my Dad to bring all those vegies here.

I found out by talking with him, that he wants to move out of my sisters and back into an apt. He's not happy there, seems my sister is very controlling and she picks fights with him and makes him feel bad. He seems fine enough to me to do this. He's not an invalid by any means. I think my sister is a do gooder, and manipulated my father to stay with her and her hubby. It just is too early yet for him to do that. He's very independent still. He's got one of my brothers searching for an apt. so when he gets back home in 3 weeks, he may have an apt. to live in. My sissy just couldn't leave well enough alone.

My Poor Dad. Of course he's not remembering as well as he use to, and it's very hard for him to communicate (always has, he's dyslexic), I'm hoping he'll be happier in the apt. I love him so much and I want him as happy as can be for the rest of his life. That might be 3- 5 years or so. Cooper's (that my maiden name) live around 90-91 years.

Joey, Dad (very little, but it's a start) and I did TBS, with abs and stretching. Dad mostly watched and was very impressed.

Tomorrow we sign Escrow. Yea!

Julie, Welcome home, bet it's great to be back. Your weekend workouts sound like just what you needed. Great job on that and this mornings CB and a 45 min. bike ride.

Pam, Great job on CM. Skiing must be winding down, glad you were able to get some in. I hope the couple works things out too.

Janie
