Strength in Numbers

Pam Funny of DH, he complains to much, but now that he is getting better he wants to start working out and he is planning his food, workouts, and all that stuff. OMG my eye was disgusting the next day  I had never ever have something like that before, after a few day is all gone, but I just realized that actually I was sick:eek: and I'm getting over with.. weird! We got the time changed now one hour forward so I'm still not sure if the day's are supposed to get longer or what? because I'm so tired by 9pm that all want is to go to bed... Oh I'm still thinking what can you do to your hubby;) haha!! has to be a good one. yes I did used your suggestion on the cardio, today I did cardio moves I skipped the warm-up so it was perfect 30 min. Good job doing DM after LL I hope your legs are doing much better today! So busy you were yesterday!! I hope you did have fun!

Julie Good job doing LIC, and your bike ride.. I love that one but you are right the band/barbell curl ups are crazy, I don't think I can do to many either! so cute that Oscar didn't ate the bird, it reminded a friend told us that her dog was playing with a baby bird, he was to rough so the bird die:( So cute!!! Finally I get to put face to the mysterious girl, you are so pretty why you don't use this as your avatar?? I do believe that you took tons of pictures before to decided which one to use because I would have done the same thing:D

JanieSo cute that your dad is working out, so fun all the hose projects, DH has being looking at properties in US now, I can't wait to get a house of my own... Whats a GERD?

Hi Cheryl He was real sorry that day, poor husband of mine, he was like tell me where to go because every time I plan something it doesn't work!! So next time we will check the weather and everything else. Looks like you have being busy with all that cleaning, workouts, and laundry, I hate doing laundry though!

Saturday I did shoulders and legs, I did have to double it up just because Sunday I wanted to have the day off to do alot of cooking, which I didn't I did it Saturday too. So my calves are still sore and tomorrow I have legs again!!! Today I did arms biceps/triceps core and 30 min of cardio I did cardio moves... Also this week we started to count calories something I never did before, but I'm getting use to and is easy once I get all of my foods on the website its easy... (that's what I keep telling to my self) ;) Well girls I think the change time made my day even shorter, and its getting late. DH went back to work today and he is already home so is time to cook dinner.... Have a great day everyone.:p

Went to our regular play every other month or so and we invited Dad to go with us. It was "The Love List", a comedy. I think Dad enjoyed it. Then we went to dinner at our favorite place. Dad insisted on paying. Was a great day. I found out that my GERD came back because of the way I was eating. Onions, icecream, oysters... yep, can't do that anymore, it really hurt me.:eek::confused: I'm much better now.

Janie Great job on TBS and getting your dad to do the cardio! That is really good for him to move as much as possible. Hope your GERD isn't acting up because of stress. Do you think it is from eating things you are not used too? I hope it gets better soon.

Julie, Love your pics. You are so pretty and healthy looking. Great job on spinning 78 min.

Cheryl, Enjoy your dinner with family. Congratulations on finishing STS Meso 1. You did good! Enjoy your week off.

Pam, Great job on KP&C, and blasts and leg conditioning drills and the cool down. You did good with your failure. That's a good thing, you know that right? Yikes, for a rest day you sure had a lot of things going on. Enjoy your family and friends.

Eunice, GERD is short for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. It's a condition in which the stomach contents (food and liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus. It is a progressive disease. However, there are some things I can do before I reach the point where I've had enough. It's almost a cure, called TIF (Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication) and reconstructs an antireflux valve, through the mouth. A success rate of 89%. One day I will have to do that, but right now, I'm trying to watch what I eat and when I get heart burn, acid reflux then I take licorice root to help with that. It works out very well. Great job on Sat. shoulders and legs. And for today's biceps, triceps and core and 30 min. of cardio.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Eunice Is DH happy to be getting back to work? he must be feeling a lot better if he is starting to plan his workouts, that is good. Is he going to have to take a break in the middle to eat? :p:D You will have to get him doing Jamie's program too! Glad to hear you are doing better. I hate it when I get eye gook! My poor cat gets it all the time. He gets pink eye every few weeks and I have to put drops in his eyes all the time which he hates. Oh I hate losing an hour like that. It always throws me off for awhile. So if you went forward it means you'll be having more daylight. We fall back pretty soon, but not sure when. Usually the end of October I think.
Great job on shoulders, legs, biceps, triceps and cardio and core. Whew! I bet Step Moves is a perfect level for your heart rate.

Janie Oh the play and dinner out sound like so much fun. Yes, i can see how the ice cream, onions, oysters, etc would make the GERD act up. My stomach wasn't very happy with me this morning after the food at the Fur ball last night. I didn't really eat anything really bad either but I sure had heart burn this morning! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better now.
Oh yea, failure is a good thing, but I feel like a failure if I can't do as much as they do!:confused:

This morning was High Step Challenge. So much for getting out of those 1 arm dips last week, I had to do them this morning, along with hover squats AND sit and stands. I had forgotten about those lovelies! I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

This morning I did The Viper from the Terminator DVD.

So yesterday is normally lazy day Sunday. It started out that way and then Oscar decided he wanted to take being lazy to the extreme. For some reason, his back end stopped working. He couldn’t stand for even short periods of time and walking was out of the question. DH had to carry him up and down the stairs. Finally around 11 am we decided to take him to the emergency clinic. They took x-rays and determined it wasn’t anything broken or bone cancer. They diagnosed him with nerve/muscle damage and gave him a shot of steroid and muscle relaxer. They also gave me a week’s worth of steroids and muscle relaxers to give him until we can get him to the regular vet. We got home around 3 pm and he lay around for a few hours before DH stood him up. He was able to walk around but had trouble with the stairs. This morning he was back to normal mostly. He was able to get up by himself and walk up and down the stairs just fine. He was a little slower but it’s a start. I imagine he will be on steroids the rest of his life but we’ll see. :(

Cheryl Great job on finishing out Meso 1! Plus on Clean Max! Enjoy your active recovery week. I hope you have fun with your SIL. Thanks for the compliments on my picture. I can be very critical of my own photos so it is hard for me to post them. Maybe taking the picture after spinning gave me a glow I don’t normally have! Catch up with us when you can but enjoy your time.

Pam Great job on your KPC/KM compilation. Sounds like it was a tough workout. Those Leg Drills are killer. I like when Cathe says “Ah, little rest” when set your foot down on one of the drills. It always makes me laugh because I am thinking the same thing. :) Thanks for the compliment on the photo. As I was telling Cheryl, I am pretty critical of my own photos (as I am sure most women are) so it is nice to hear good things when I do post one. Umm! That did not sound like a rest day to me. Must have been active rest. Hope a lot of animals got adopted from the Fur ball. Great job on HSC! Ah yes, that one is chock full of goodies to enjoy!

Eunice Great job on shoulders & legs, then on bis/tris/core plus 30 min. of moderate cardio (you go girl keeping it moderate! :D). Glad to see DH is well enough to go back to work. Hope you don’t miss him too much. I know what you mean about the time change. Ours will be coming up in the next month or so. We will move the clocks back so we will get an extra hour of sleep but I hate it because it always messes up my internal. Good luck with counting calories. When you are diligent about it, it will work. Thanks for the compliment on the photo. Isn’t funny how we can be so critical of ourselves but others see us without any flaws? I always look at myself and see my droopy left eye and crooked smile but DH is always telling me how beautiful I am. Wish I could see myself like he does.

Janie Plays can be fun. I haven’t heard of “The Love List”. Was it a comedy? Glad your GERD is getting better. I have heard GERD can be such a pain to deal with sometimes. Thanks for the photo compliment. I was telling Cheryl, I think taking the picture after spinning added a glow that I don’t normally have. :p

Have a great day!

Janie Hmmm thanks for the lesson! I hope you are feeling better, yes you should be very careful with what you eat. I love licorice but not the kind you'd take, I like the one covered with chocolate  hmmm I haven't have any since the beginning of this program!

Pam His bored at work because the guys went out to the field he is not supposed to do that kind of job, so he has to stay behind at the office all by him self and there is nothing to do... But DH is a Marine, he will never ever leave the office just because there is no one to see what is his doing:confused: so yeah! he has to be bored for a while... Oh No he would not do Jamie's trainer, he know what he wants and he knows how to get there,Hahahaha!!! No he won't stop to eat either:p Poor of your kitty having eye drops every few weeks I bet Sam would hate that too.... OMG I hate this week is so early to get up, my body thinks is still 6 am and I know is not, good thing is that the kids are off from school so I don't have to get up to too early, but yes you got me again, I have to get up to eat at 8:00 am if not I wouldn't be able to fit all of my meals hahaha!!! Good job doing HSC it looks like you got all of the toughie ones in one shot! :D I know you can handle it!!

Julie This is the only dvd I don't have (I think) How do you like it? OMG Poor Oscar:( how old id him? I'm glad that you took him to the emergency room, Oh men that is so sad!!!:( Talking about dogs, what is that you give to your dogs when they don't want to eat? Sam is being acting funny in the mornings he is all excited because he wants to eat but then when I give him his food he just look at it and won't eat:( Stacy and Rachel almost fed him on his mouth and yes that way he can eat, but that's not the point, DH think that it is because sometimes I give him left overs of meat, chicken, he say that he is getting use to that food but I don't do that every day so I don't think so that is the reason.... Oh do I miss my hubby?????? NO:eek::p he goes back in forth so he is fine at work. I can picture you looking at your pictures and thinking "oh, look at that droopy eye" I'll think "oh look at those love handles" yes we are very critical of our selfs..

Today I did legs only it was a good one I have being using the barbell bar with weights to do the squats and do the step-up-down ans I can see the diff on my quads, I hate that I cannot go to heavy that would be such a pain on my shoulders I only can go 50Lb and wear my Cathe vest 20Lb and do the squats.. I also did a new one double walking lunges, step forward-knee up- lunge back and front and do the same with the other leg, it took me for ever I was wobbling all over the place, so I did 10 double walking lunges and 10 on place, that was a good start I think, so doing this workout today it took me 1:25 min.. Well girls have a great day.:D

Dad (not so much today) Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches.

Pam, Fantastic job on HSC. That's a good one. Try not to think of feeling like a failure when you exercise. Cathe and team are professionals and that is part of their living. At least I think so. But I understand cause, I feel like that sometimes too. Be positive.:) I have to think that way otherwise I'd drop exercising all together. I do what my mind and body can do, the best I can do. Sometimes I think we all can be so hard on ourselves. Now I'm being too chatty. I just admire what you do.

Julie, Fantastic job on the Viper. Aw, glad to see Oscar better. Poor thing. We do what we have to do to keep our fur babies to stay healthy. Good for you. Yes, The Love List" was a comedy, we laughed and laughed.

Eunice, Sorry for the long detailed lesson on GERD. LOL;) How are you doing on the program? Haven't heard to much more about it. Would love to know your progress. Fantastic job on legs only. Most women can't take a lot of weight on their shoulders. Maybe your husband can spot you. Put the weight on and take it off when you are done. I'm proud of your progress in your workouts, congratulations.

Have a good one,

Janie

julie Great job on the Viper. I can never remember which one is which on that DVD, but they are all tough!
Wow, how scary with Oscar, I'm glad to hear he is doing better, but did they say what would make that happen? poor guy :( It's good that nothing was broken and no bone cancer, but wow! That must have made you so nervous!
Is Oscar the Boxer?
You're right, I think most of us are much harder on ourselves. I HATE to see pictures of myself. I'm always thinking 'I don't really look like that do I?' I see the crooked smile, bug eyes, all of those lovely things!
When I say rest day, I just mean no formal exercise program like a dvd ;)

Enice Poor DH with nothing to do at work. That would drive me crazy. I think it's worse not having enough to do than to have too much to do. Does he at least have a computer or something so that he can surf the web? I think you need to teach him about taking workout breaks to eat! :p;) When will he be able to start working out again?
That is so funny that you have to set your alarm clock to make sure you are up to eat in time :D hahahahahahha

Great job on your leg workout and ESPECIALLY on seeing results! Hooray! That is fantastic, congratulations! Those lunge things sound really hard, I think I would be wobbling too!

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches. Are you going to get to spend some time at the beach while your dad is still there and take him fishing like you had hoped? I sure hope so!
I know, it's good to work to failure I just don't like it when I fail so soon ;) There is always something to strive for though isn't there?

This morning I had 40/20 on the calendar, so I threw in those stability ball abs since I missed them last week  That is a pretty tough combo, I'm not sure what I was thinking. I do have to say that I LOVE those 60 second rests in 40/20, but they sure seem like a lot less than 60 seconds! Have a great day ladies!

Pam

This morning I did a spinning.com DVD called Ultimate Energy. Getting my money’s worth out that spin bike and hopefully getting prepared for Cycle Max!! Oscar seems to still be doing ok. No more spills and he can get up and walk on his own. Last night when I took him out, he even trotted along the fence in a semi-run for a few strides with the neighbors puppy before stopping. So I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed and hoping for good news when we see the vet tomorrow.

Eunice Great job on legs! Wow those double walking lunges sound hard. I would be weebling and wobbling all over the place right there with you. Good job for getting through them. I love the Terminator DVD. It has 3 workouts on it that are a compilation of Imax 2, Cardio & Weights, Boot Camp, & Muscle Endurance. They are really tough circuit workouts but are major calorie burners. I think The Viper is my favorite off the DVD. Oscar is 11 years old. That is pretty old for a large dog like him. DH and I have never lost a pet before so I don’t know how we will do when it is time. Hopefully it won’t come to that for a while. Sam’s not sick is he? The only time my dogs refused their food is when they had a stomach bug. You could try putting beef or chicken broth or gravy over his food and see if he will eat it then. If you have low sodium broth or gravy, that would be best. I wouldn’t put a ton of it on his food. Just enough to get him interested.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretches! It was so sad to see Oscar not able to walk. We would stand him up and he would shake for a little bit and then lose his back end strength and fall to the floor. Even when he came home from the hospital and could walk a little, the stairs were hard for him and he actually fell backwards going up the stairs. I hated it but hopefully we can talk to the vet tomorrow and find out how to keep him going for a few more years.

Pam Great job on 40/20 and SB abs! I can only imagine that was a toughie and I am right there with you on Cathe’s 60 second clock being fast. I think I may bring my own timer out one of these times. The Viper is one that combines cardio from Imax 2 and Cardio & Weights with Muscle Endurance weights. It is my favorite but man my biceps are sore from the weight work. Oscar is the boxer. He is mine and DH’s first furbaby so it is hard on us to see him getting old and starting to have problems. The emergency vet didn’t really say how it happened. I assume it is age related but we go to the regular vet tomorrow and I have a laundry list of questions to ask. My biggest question is how much longer we have with him. Although I know they can’t give me an answer to that, I’m hoping they can at least give an estimate.

Have a great day!

Janie Good for you and Joey for keeping up your workout, as for your dad that's understandable that is not he life style but good on him when he joins you guys, I bet that is fun:D No problem with the long lesson:D Oh the program yes, I think is working wonders for my self, before I used to have a roll of fat on my back, well I don't have it anymore and that is a big one for me, I still need to work on my arms, I just don't love my biceps yet as for my shoulders they are getting supper strong, triceps OMG really I've never felt them to "fail" like I have the past few weeks its amazing what working a single body part can do, and those little annoying triceps I have heard them cry ... on the good way of course! I took a picture I'll see if I can post that one. You are right and I would love for someone to spot me but DH is back at work :( yayay!!! JK

Pam Yes DH has a computer and Internet so at least he can surf the web but I don't think that is any help, when he get bored he gets bored  He is hopping to go back to workout in a month or so right now his just doing some rehab stretching, and getting his arm above his head that is a big one, I'm very surprise that he can use his arm now, he can put weight on it, his doing really good.:D Well what I first thought it was a lot of food now is just enough to keep me going for my next meal, I don't think I was eating enough before, like I say this week we started to count calories I'm suppose to have 1500 - 1800 last night I ended up having 1518 cal it was leg day so I was going to get 1800 but NOT, and believe me I eat a lot:D Good job doing 40/20 and the stability ball abs I miss those Hiits but next phase it calls for Hiit kind of work so I'll get the chance to get back to Cathe!:D Yayayay!!! I wonder when we are going to get the new dvd's???? I got both so, I'm ready!

Julie Good for you for getting your money's worth out of that spin bike, Awww good for Oscar for doing his little semi-run last night, I really hope that the vet give you a good answer to all of your questions and Oscar last you for a good time... I imagine that loosing a pet would be the SADDEST part ever, something I don't want to see either."Keeping my finger cross" too. The Terminator sound like a good one but I don't think I'll ever going to get it... No I don't think Sam is sick his just being a big baby who love hugs and kisses, I think his missing his walks, I have being real bad with that, Sunday we took him out we took a new road it was real fun "DH walking with Rachel, she was holding his arm sooo cute I wish I had my camera with me that day, Sam running, walking through the bushes left, right, left, right, then we got to the pond we were listening and yes he was already in the watter :D An I was on the back walking with Stacy just watching every thing and every one" Thanks for the idea, I know that would make him eat!

Today I have chest/core 30 min cardio so I better get going... I'll get back to report!! Have a great day everyone:D

This morning was Circuit Max. It has been a long time since I did that one and couldn’t believe how hard it was. All those combo moves are tough.

Eunice Hope you got a good chest/core/cardio workout in yesterday! You are looking really good. I love the bicep that’s popping out and the carved abs. I’m glad you are enjoying the program and the best part is that you are definitely seeing results which is always a good thing. Keep up the good hard work. Too funny about Sam being a big baby! My dogs are both big babies who are super spoiled. I bet Sam had a blast playing in the pond. Sounds like he was really excited to be on that walk.

Well I am leaving work early today so I can take Oscar to the vet. Hoping for really, really good news.

Have a great day!

We did TBS, abs and stretches.

Yesterday went to the beach house to start cleaning it. Something there that smells so bad. Must be wet stuff under the house and the carpet was wet too in the tip out. Had contractors there to work on that and all the major repairs.

Found out that when you get a furnished place, what you really are getting is, stuff to take to the dump. Most is useless. That's OK, I was about to tell them that I didn't want the furniture anyway. We'll just toss it out or give it to the 2nd hand store. One good thing though, there are all kinds of vintage bean pots and milk glass. I looked them up on the internet to see if they were worth anything, and I think I have something. There might be 20-25 or more pieces of bean pot sets and 20-25 or more milk glass pieces. They might be worth $400-$500 all together. That is based on only a few pieces I looked up on the internet. It would be fun to sell it on ebay. I don't know if it is the right time to sell now because of the economy, but perhaps in 2-3 years. I'll put it away and wait for a good time to sell.

Pam, Great job on 40/20. Got to love the 60 seconds rest. Looks like we'll be working on the beach house instead of fishing and having fun there just because we know we can. Won't do a whole lot yet since I want to entertain Dad more. When he leaves we'll work harder on it. I asked Dad if he wanted to fish at the pier/docks, but he says no. He'd rather take a charter, but again he decided not to. Don't know why. Maybe he realizes he has limitations, or didn't want to go alone. Joey and I didn't want to go. I get sea sick. Poor Dad, wished he would do it.

Julie, Great job on the spinning. Glad to hear Oscar is doing better. Yea! I hope for better news from the vet today.

Eunice, So nice to hear that the program is working for you. Yea! Your photo is awesome. I see tummy muscles! Isn't that exciting for you?!? You look fantastic and only wish I could have a tummy like yours. Good job, you worked very hard getting there and it shows. You should be very proud of yourself. Yea!:D

Julie, Great job on the CM. It is a tough one. You did good.

Janie

Julie Great job on your spinning yesterday. I bet you are so happy you got that spin bike, you really seem to be enjoying it. I'm so glad to hear that Oscar is still doing well and am hoping and praying that you got good news at the vet today. I have a special place in my heart for Boxers. We had one who was just the sweetest dog. He lived to be 13. We'd love to have another one some day, but our lifestyle just isn't conducive to a dog right now.

Eunice Wow, your DH is doing really well with his shoulder! hopefully not so well that he tries to do more than he should though! Well that certainly isn't a lot of calories that you are eating so I guess it just seems like a lot of food since you have to eat so often. Do you have to set your alarm and get up during the night to eat? :p:D JK of course! When do you start the next phase? Time goes by so fast I bet it is pretty soon huh? you will be so happy to get back to your Cathe! Oh man, I forgot about the new CDs again, hopefully we will be getting them soon. I haven't seen an update lately, has anyone else? I got both the downloads and the dvds too (at least I think I did!)

You are looking awesome by the way, no wonder DH has been checking you out so much. Great job girlfriend!!!

Julie Great job on Circuit max. I just love that one. It was my all time fav for awhile. I have no idea what my all time fav is right now

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches. Looks like you are back on the Joey rotation :D ;)
Oh ick, I hate that wet carpet smell. You have a good point about furrnished places, I never really thought about that, but I bet it does really make for a lot more work, bummer.....:(

Oh wow, the vintage bean pots and milk glass sound so cool! And sounds like they will help you make up for some of the money you have to spend on repairs, that is great!
I wouldn't worry about your dad not going on the charter trip. It sounds like he is really enjoying spending time with you!

Well, this morning was supposed to be Step Jump and Pump. I'm not sure why though, because it was just in the rotation last week so I decided to change it up. Julie had me thinking about the Terminator so I did the Gauntlet. I got to do Jeannie hops and terminator climbers :D It just flew by though, it was so much fun. I added in the abs from SJP for good measure :D I had quite the day today. I worked from 8 am until 15 minutes ago - 14 hours straight. I only stopped for bathroom breaks and to throw some food in the microwave and ate while I was working! Whew! We have a big deadline this Friday but it looks like we are going to make it! Whew! I hope everyone had a great day!

Pam

JulieGood job on CM, you are a tough cookie so I'm sure that you can handle that one and more:p Yes I did chest/core/ but cardio I did it after diner DH needed the car and I needed to go to the store so when he come back at home I just finished what I was doing and I went to the store, hey! but I did it.. I really do hope that Oscar get good reports from the vet.. Keeping fingers cross! Guess what? I found out that Sam like kangaroo food:confused: so funny when I went to the grocery store I got a can just to mix thing up for him and he did love it.. DH and say at the same time "He is Australian"

Janie Well it sounds like you got both good and bad stuff, dumping old furniture and getting milk glass that is awesome.. I hope when is time for you to sell it you get a good money out of it... I think your dad is having a good time with you.. Thanks for the complements I do feel good about my self, but still more work to get done, I've learn a lot about food, nutrition, exercises so that is a big plus.

PamHahaha!! No, I hardly get up at night to go to the bathroom, but good one!! :p I have to finish this week then one more week of phase 2 then go to the next phase 3, I'm so excited it does looks like a good one but hard one too... Yeah! I'll be happy to go back to Cathe I think I'm feeling guilty because last night I was dreaming with her and she was mad at me:( I was trying to get a picture with her but every time I wanted to see the picture in the camera there was no picture:( so I kept following her to get the picture but she was mad at me! I wonder why??? I hope we get the new dvd's soon:D Hahaha!! I hope DH is checking me out and touching to to much:eek: Good job doing The terminater I can't not speak for that one. Gee you had a big day, you deserved a glass of wine and good yummy dinner!!

Yesterday I did finish my workout it was a good one, I did the cardio late in the afternoon but I did it.... Today I did shoulders and 30 min cardio, for today cardio I took Sam out by the pond and let him free and I jogged for 30 min, it was all good Sam had fun and I did my cardio:D Well ladies have a great day!

This morning I did Intensity! It has been a while since I have done that one. I remembered how hard it was and I am happy to be done with it!

So the vet decided to wean Oscar off the steroids and the muscle relaxer that the emergency vet put him on. I am glad because the muscle relaxer was making him not act like himself. He was just laying around, didn’t really care about what was going on, and was walking drunk. The steroids were making him drink so much water that we had to start putting a diaper on him again. So hopefully, the vet is right and this is a one time deal and he won’t have to be on a low steroid dose for the rest of his life. She was actually more concerned about the heart murmur she heard. She said boxers are prone to getting cardiomyopathy and he now has an appointment next Friday for a heart x-ray, echocardiogram, and heart ultrasound. He is becoming quite the little expensive monster but we do what we have to do for our baby.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretching! You so good with adding on extra stretching. I know it really can make a difference but I just don’t do it for some reason. Oh yes, milk glass is worth a lot of money. My mom is saving her milk glass pieces to sell at some point to or pass on to me and my sister for us to sell. I would say waiting would only increase the value. Good luck getting the beach house all fixed up and decorated to your desire. It will be a lot of work but you will be so happy when it is done.

Pam Great job on the Gauntlet and SJP abs! I bet you were just so happy to be doing Jeannie Hops and Terminator climbers in the same workout! Add in some ½ turn jumps from plyo legs and that would be one great workout! Wow that is quite some day you had. Hopefully you are still loving your new job since it is keeping you super busy. I would love to see Oscar live to 13. He is 11 ½ now so if he can hold on another 1 ½ I would be so thrilled. Of course, only if he is not suffering.

Eunice Great job on finishing out your cardio after shopping! I know it can be tough to separate your workouts. Or at least it is for me. Once I get into workout mode, I want to get it all done and not have to get started (and sweaty) again until the next day. Great job on jogging while Sam played! That is an excellent idea for both of you! I have heard of kangaroo food for dogs and actually think one of the stores around here sells some. I have never bought it though because it seemed a little odd. Of course, I am sure it is not odd in Australia. When you move back here, you are going to have to make sure you stock up on that kangaroo food for Sam!

Have a great day!

I have a few minutes here at work so I thought I would check in. It has been very busy and I haven't been able to get onto the computer at home since the weekend. DH drove SIL to the airport this morning to catch a flight to Grand Forks which is close to the US border getting close to the Rockies. She is visiting her daughter that lives there. She will be back Saturday night so we will go pick her up at the airport again. It looks like everyone is doing well with their workouts. Julie I hope Oscar gets better soon. You are right that we will do anything for our fur babies.

For me I haven't worked out all week but I am hoping to get something done tonight. I am really missing it. I will also try to catch up on some things at home too.

I hope that I will be able to get back into a routine again soon, I am missing that.

Cheryl

Julie Good choice Intensity, Oh by I haven't done that one since the beginning of this program 7 weeks, well I haven't done so many things, like watching all my recorder shows:confused: really, no enough time to do all those things oh well 5 more weeks to go!! So happy for Oscar I hope he gets better soon and this was just one time deal, but so sad that he has a heart murmur:( I hope there is nothing big, so frustrating when any one in the fam gets sick:mad: You got your expensive baby right there, do you have pet insurance? You right we do what we have to do for our monsters;) I also like to do all at once but when I can't, I can't.. NOT odd at all, people eats Kangaroo meat, I say that I'm never ever going to eat that kind of meat but who knows??? It supposed to be healthy meat:eek:

HI Cheryl I haven't hear from you in a while, I hope thing get back to normal so you can get in your workouts. WE miss you here.

Pam I guess work its keeping you pretty busy this days. How you being doing? Don't work to much.. I know that you are done with your workout or else!! haha! Yes you are awesome Pam!

Well is Friday here yay!!! today I have legs not much going on its early in the morning I just ate my breakfast and getting ready to tackle my day, cooking, cooking, and more cooking  I need a break that's for sure!!! Have a great day everyone..

I typed up a post and poof it disappeared. So here is a recap of what I wrote …

I had Cardio & Weights on tap to do today but Oscar had other plans for me. Last night when I got home, my poor baby’s left rear ankle was swollen to twice its normal size. I tried icing it off and on for an hour and no change whatsoever. So about 6:45 pm last night, my dad and I headed to the College of Veterinary Medicine that is an hour and a half away. They did bloodwork and took x-rays of Oscar and determined there wasn’t anything more they could do for him that night. They needed to admit him until the orthopedic vet could see him this morning. So my dad and I headed back home at 1 am this morning. I got in the door about 2:45 and briefly thought, well its almost time to workout might as well get dressed but then I saw how comfy and warm my bed looked and went to sleep for a few hours instead. I am exhausted with only 2 hours sleep before having to go to work but I am even more nervous about Oscar. They have told me that he now has a fever and is in pain so they are medicating him. They are also going to do a biopsy of his joint since the bone is not broken. I really doubt I will be able to get him home tonight but we will see. :(

Cheryl Sounds like you are keeping busy with your SIL in town. Hope you are having a blast! Don’t worry you will get back to a routine soon.

Eunice Great job on legs and cooking! Hope you got all the cooking done and was even able to take a mini-break. Although I bet what you really need is a break from all the household chores for a while. I completely understand. Sometimes I think why bother cleaning when it will just get dirty in an hour. That’s funny that you ask about pet insurance because I do have it. Most people are amazed there is even such a thing as pet insurance let alone that I have it on both my dogs. So having it should help with some of the cost but I still have a deductible and a co-pay. With all these tests they are running, DH may have to sell a kidney to help pay for all this!

Have a good day!

EuniceOMG, I get up every night to go to the bathroom, sometimes multiple times. it drives me crazy!!! That is so funny that you were dreaming that Cathe was mad at you, I guess you really ARE missing her. I'm glad that you get to get back to her again soon!
Great job on getting your cardio in later in the day. I usually have a hard time doing that. Great idea jogging while you had Sam out for some fun too, very smart!

Julie Great job on Intensity!! I haven't done it in awhile. It is so good but SOOOOO hard!
That will be really good if Oscar doesn't need to be on steroids for the rest of his life. The muscle relaxer sounds like no fun at all! :( Poor Oscar, i hope it was just a one time thing like they said. Of course you have the heart murmer to worry about now :( I hope that isn't anything major.

Hahah, oh yes, I was loving Jeannie Hops and Terminator climbers in the same workout. Maybe I should use the workout blender to add in those 1/2 jump turns too!;)

Cheryl I hope you have been enjoying your SILs visit and I hope you were able to get your workout in while she was visiting her daughter!

Eunice Oh yes, work has been crazy busy this week but it's been fun too. I am really happy with the new job. Oh yes, you know I have been getting my workouts in though :D Things should calm down a little next week as we are just finishing up this big project and today was our big deadline. I hope you enjoyed your day of cooking!

Julie Oh man, I hate it when my posts disappear! QUOTE=jldx2in2000;2110112]I typed up a post and poof it disappeared. So here is a recap of what I wrote …
Oh no, so sorry to hear that Oscar was having more problems. I hope they figure out what the heck is going on. I can't believe you were even THINKING about working out when you got home. That is dedication! We both had Cardio and Weights on the calendar for today. I'll be praying for Oscar :( Poor little guy.

OK, so yesterday morning was supposed to be a 40 minute steady state run. I wasn't going to do that of course, so I did Step Blast instead. Eunice, I think you could use it for a 30 minutes cardio without the blast at the end if the warm doesn't count as part of the 30 minutes. This morning I had cardio and weights on the calendar and I actually did it! It was a lot of fun, I can't remember the last time I did that one. The ab section of that is one of my favorites. Today was another busy day at work but the list at the end of the tunnel is now in view. Yea! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Pam

JulieI hate when post disappear  OMG so sad what's happening to Oscar, poor boy being on pain and fever:( do you think is real bad thing? so weird, one day was fine and the next he is so sick :( You went a long way to take him to the vet, and stay over pretty late too, I'm glad that you picked the bed instead of working out, you need all your energy for work, and thing that you don't expect. I was asking you about the pet insurance because long time ago we did have another dog and I did purchase insurance for him, at least you are going to have some help... I'm hopping that you get good news from Oscar. I do need a break from everything, some day I will, but for now I have to keep cooking we don't buy fast food or go to restaurants its soooo expensive so I have no choice but cook.

Pam I get up maybe once, I'm so tired at night that I don't want to wake up, I think so yes I'm missing Cathe:eek: Ohhh Sam love to do that, going out and run free looking for Kangaroos, so funny!! but I don't like that he gets in the water and its dirty water, yesterday it was raining so I din't go outside and today I bet the water in the pond is even more dirty than usual.. So funny when we took Sam to the pond the other day DH throw sticks in the water he goes and get them some times the sticks sunk so he get lost looking for the stick we called him back, but it looks like he is missing something, soooo cute! I hope you get a good rest this weekend I know what I think as a "rest day" for you is doing things which is not really a rest :p but I know you enjoy it all. Thanks for the suggestion I did used once and this week I did 4DS LIC I really like that I finally got the step so I can do it smoothly. Good job doing SB so fun..

Today Saturday I did Back/delts and 30 min cardio for cardio I did 4DS LIC I'm loving that I finally can do all the step with out getting confuse..
Have a great weekend everyone.
