Julie Great job on your 90 minute spin, wow!!! That is looooong! I usually only spin for 45-60 minutes. I like doing my own thing on the spin bike too. I put on my ipod and just spin to the music. I really like the picture boards at memorials, they really are nice to make you remember special times. I hope it was nice to put it together with your mom too.
Yep, Step Fit has the macarena cool down. It had been a long time since I'd done the macarena too!
Cheryl The only problem I would have with going to the car show it that it would probably make me want a new car
We are going to be needing one before too long as my Land Cruiser has 240k miles on it, but it just keeps going, so as long as it's running fine I'm happy!
Oh man, I hope it's awhile before our furnace has to come on. I did notice that the AC isn't running anymore. We're supposed to be back in the mid 80's this week though. I think 60 is cold! We had our winter coats on and everything
Yea, I didn't really realize that workout was 72 minutes long, just chose it because it worked for me. Oh well.....
Great job on disck 6, those m1 leg discs are such toughies, hope your legs were ok on Sunday!. It sounds to me like ou got some cardio in doing the housework and laundry! Great job on your yoga on Sunday too, too bad you weren't able to ride your bike though
Jnaie OMG, your bread looks amaaaaaazing! I can almost smell it from those pictures. I need to put bread baking on my to do list. of course I have to master this cheese thing first!
Oh yes, Step Fit was a fun one. I thought I had bought the download a while ago and then realized I hadn't, so I downloaded it on Friday. It's a bargain at only $7!
Eunice I almost always fall asleep in seconds. My DH says that I just go go go all day until I drop! He doesn't usually fall asleep so fast though. Although last night he was the one who fell asleep on the couch while I finished watching a movie, maybe we are changing roles!
I think your injuries take a long time to heal because you don't rest them! You just keep working through them. I can't really give you much of a hard time for that though, because I'm the same way. I know I should be resting this ankle, but I keep thinking it's going to magically feel better. Plus it only bothers me when I'm working out
So glad to hear that your DH is doing so much better, is he well enough to run the vacuum cleaner yet
I would much rather have the hot weather, I get so sad when it starts getting cold. Whenever we drive by a pond and I can see the heat rising off the water I get mad because I know we won't be able to ski much longer
We didn't ski at all this weekend because it was so cold
You definitely need to get showing off those awesome arms and legs now that you are getting warm weather!!
Great job on back and cardio. I bet you were happy to finally see Cathe again. Does this mean that you are into phase 2 of the program already? I know you will survive the pushups and bench presses!
I chose Cathe's April rotation (I think? It might be May) and started it this morning with LIC. I always forget how hard the weight work is in that one. Those barbell curls with the band get me so bad every time, I always have to drop the band part way through.
So my mozzarella trials this weekend were failures
I tried 4 different times and none of them really worked properly. Twice I ended up with ricotta. There was one that ended up looking pretty close to mozzarella after I chilled it, but it was supposed to get there while it was warm?! Then my last attempt was going really well, everything looked perfect and I got to the step where you re-warm to 105 degrees. Well I had it on the stove with my thermometer in and I turned around and thought I'd just get the stuff out of the fridge for the salad for dinner. I started making the salad and forgot all about the cheese!!!
When I turned around it was at 167 degrees! Ooops. I've been doing a lot of reading to try and figure out what the problem is and it sounds like it could be the milk. Many of the sites say you need non pasteurized milk but I have no idea where to find that. Even the milk at the famer's market was pasteurized. I am going to try to find a local cheese making shop to see if they can help. Last night's lasagne was still sooooo good even though I had to go out and buy mozzarella! Have a great Monday/Tuesday ladies!
