Strength in Numbers

This morning we heard from the Realtor. The person that owns the house near the beach, excepted our offer!!! (Happy Dance).

With lots of discussion during the last few days, there were things that use to make us nervous. Our beach is called "Wash Out Beach". At least 100 feet of erosion happen on the beach a year. We looked at the prediction map and in the year 2028 it will be a half mile walk to get there. Then there is the worry of Tsunami. We will always be aware of that, but also what is more likely to happen, I ask myself, a car accident or a Tsunami? I can't let that deter us from enjoying ourselves because of that. It's not likely that will happen in our life time. And if it does, there are too many variables to consider, if this and if that...We are going to enjoy our place.

We go down Wednesday and get the paper work going, inspectors...So so excited. We may not go to Utah this year and if we do, just for a short time. I want to clean this place up, get rid of it's ugly orange rug, clean the walls and floors, everything from top to bottom. Can't Wait! Of course it will be 2-4 weeks before we can do all that because of the paper work. But it will happen. Did I tell you it's furnished? (Happy Dance Again)

Update: Walked Rolly for 30 min.

Cheryl, Great job on SW. Wow! When I did that one, I literally rang out my headband. good for you! Yep, there are lots of deer here as well. We see them off the side of the freeway for pete sake. Be careful driving.

Julie, Great job on MM. Yep, it's one of my favorites for sure. Looks like you and hubby will have a busy next couple of days cleaning out the garage. Dumpster Max? You are too funny.LOL

Pam, Believe me, I modify everything with the workouts. Can't do what I use to do anymore. My excuse is age. But I keep going. Great job on having fun skiing and this mornings SM and cardio from CB, oh and the abs from PUB. You did good. Enjoy the beach this weekend.

Happy Dancing Fool,

Janie

Julie Good job on Muscle Max. That is a good workout. Enjoy Dumpster Max :D it will feel good once it is done. Deer are graceful. This one looked like he belonged there.

Pam Step Works is the one where Cathe has short hair and I think it had the same set design as MIC and MIS. You may get the new series before the end of next week. You will probably get it quite quickly where you live. Nice job on Step Moves the cardio only from Circuit Blast and the abs from PUB. Enjoy the beach.

Janie Congratulations on your new home. You are right that you can't worry about what may happen and live for the moment. It makes things so much easier that it is furnished, now you don't have to go out and buy all new stuff.

Today was my last Bootcamp. I will miss it but I guess it is time to get back into my routine. I was thinking of doing Jamie Eason's program but I think I will pass for now. My SIL will be coming to visit the first two weeks of October and will be staying with us. It may be hard to keep it up during that time. What I am going to do is start STS again on Monday. That way my off week will be the first week she is here so it should work out. I know I was going to start it with you Julie but it works out better for me to start it now.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Cheryl

Cheryl Good job doing SW, we used to have lots of deer when we were living in Virginia they are so cute! Are you sad because your BC is over?:( No more working out out in the rain yayay!!! Just kidding, I'm glad that you have all planned for your next STS rotation.

Janie Wow you did DWP I admire you! you are really good! Congratulations now you have a house near the beach:D Good for you and is furnish that's even better, how excited to be making plans to clean the place and make it your own, so happy for you!

Pam Sounds like fun weekend, skiing then pizza and now I'm pretty sure you are at the beach, have fun! Good job doing SM+ cardio ONLY from CB and then abs, you are getting very serious Miss mini-vacation :p oh and I forgot you also cut the lawn, you just don't like to waist any time. I don't think you would like this summer over here is really humid and it feel like sauna with lots of mosquitos the flys are the size of a bee  the first time I saw one I was wondering from where those bee's were coming from? but that was the flys huge I hate them and so loud too. Ok I was thinking 17 pounds and I don't know why I wrote 18 pounds  I put double weighted gloves one from Cathe and the other one around my wrist so there is 17. The protein bars are pumpkin bars I'll look for the link and I will share here latter you guys have to try them they are soooo good! One more week and STS is going to be over wow! Now what's next?

Helen so glad to hear that you are doing well. Pop in and visit us whenever you can I know DH wallet is loosing weight too :D he love all the food I have at home he cannot complain that much!

Julie Good job doing MM I love that one is one of my favorites ones ever, that's one of my first Cathe's dvd and I love it. Oh boy! Dumpster Max enjoy! OH yes eating healthy is more expensive than anything in this world. So funny that your DH doesn't want anything to do with healthy eating  DH would get cranky if it was only ME eating that way!

Well guys yesterday Saturday I have rest day that is more like double work I'm getting early to clean the kitchen floor I cannot believe that I got up at 6:00am to clean then we went to the store, today Sunday I went groceries and now I'm cooking dinner. Not much fun at all, take care tomorrow I have chest/triceps then we are living to Melbourne we are spending the night over so the next day we are early for DH surgery, so probably you wont hear from me for the next couple of days I'll try but we never know.

Eunice I am sad that BC is over but not doing it in the rain. You did get into housework early but I bet it was nice to get it all done. Post when you can and let us know how DH surgery went.

Today was biking to yoga. It was really hot out today so I was glad to get home. Did some housework and now I am just relaxing. Hope everyone had a great day.

Cheryl

Sat. I did Step Works later that night. Rested on Sun. and today did STS TB and walked Rolly fro 45 min. Hope everyone had a really nice Labor Day weekend.

Eunice, hope you enjoyed the day off from workouts. I know I certainly did. Sometimes even after the kids are all grown up and out of the house, I have to still get up early to clean and do errands. Oh my, I didn't realize your hubby's surgery was so soon. How did everything go?

Cheryl, Great job on the yoga. It's really hot here too. Man o Man, I'm putting our portable AC on tonight right after I post. Whew! Awe, BC is a keeper for sure. I love that one too. Glad to see you planning your workouts before your SIL comes to visit. I should do that as well when people visit us.

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

JanieCONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! I liked your picture of you doing the happy dance on the beach too! I agree, you just can't worry about what might happen. Go and enjoy your slice of heaven! Oh boy, already furnished too, that is wonderful! Don't worry about modifying the workouts. Some people would use that as an excuse not to do anything at all, so you should be proud that you are doing what you can.

Cheryl Oh yes, I really like step works. There are a couple of those older ones that I don't like much because they start out pretty slow and are really repetitive. I can't remember which ones they are, but I know the disc and I just don't put it in. I would love to get the new series by the end of the week, that would be perfect for my active recovery week!
Sad that bootcamp is over, maybe you can do it again in the spring? Good planning on the STS rotation around your SILs visit. I know it can be hard to keep up the routine when you have visitors.

Eunice Yes we had a great weekend, I just can't get over how fast they go by though! Oh man, I don't think I would like flies the size of bees at all. There was one of those buzzing around in the boat with me on Friday but I shooed him out of there. Do those big flies bite? Biting flies are the worst! We have hot and humid in the summer which I'm ok with, but I don't like lots of mosquitos. They aren't too bad around us luckily! Oh pumpkin bars .... hmmmm...I don't really like pumpkin either  I know, I can't believe this is my last week of STS, I don't know yet what I will be doing next, I guess I need to get busy figuring that out. I'm still hoping for the new series in time for active recovery next week.....
That doesn't sound like a fun weekend, getting up at 6:00 to clean :rolleyes: I'm glad to hear that DHs surgery is over and he will be home and recovering soon. I guess then you will be pampering and making him goodies, right? ;)

Cheryl Great job on yoga and your bike ride there and back!

Janie Great job on Step Works, STS TB and your long walk with Rolly!

We had a beautiful weekend at the beach. Sunday the weather was absolutely perfect and Monday they said it was going to rain all day and we didn't get a drop. It was really windy on Monday but that didn't keep us off the beach. We had some nice blackened shrimp on Saturday night and fresh grouper and clams on Sunday night, yum! I'm a day behind on my workouts now because of the holiday but that's ok. I did disc 34 this morning, my last chest and back workout for this STS rotation! I forgot that on the last week you went back down in weight and up in reps. I need to start studying the rotations to pick my next one. I'm thinking I will do another round of STS in January. Have a great day everyone!

Pam

DH and I cleaned out our garage, his work shop, and our shed on Saturday. It really didn’t take us long (maybe 4 hours) and we filled a huge 15 yard dumpster. Now as soon as they pick the dumpster up, I can start parking my car in the garage again! Sunday is normally my lazy day but since we had Monday off for Labor Day, I decided to do a workout on Sunday and take Monday as my lazy day. I ended up doing some more spinning. This time I did a spin video shot in HI and it was beautiful (only a few butt shots on this one). I also did Ab Hits #6 and Stretch Max #1. It felt really nice to stretch it out. This morning I did Legs & Glutes. It has been awhile since I have done that one. I upped my weights so that was nice. I also did Ab Circuits No Equipment.

Pam Great job on Step Moves + CB cardio + PUB abs on Saturday! Glad you had a great long weekend at the beach. Sounds like it was pretty good weather. Great job on disc 34. Last week of STS! That is sad and awesome at the same time. I remember feeling so strong that last week. Good luck picking a new rotation.

Janie That is fantastic news about the beach house! You are really going to enjoy it and you are right you can’t worry about what could happen and let that stop you from enjoying things. Just be prepared in case they do. That is cool that is furnished too. That will cut down on what you have to buy to get the place going. I agree, get rid of that orange carpet. My bedroom while I was growing up had orange shag carpet. So not pretty!

Cheryl Great job on your last bootcamp! I know you will miss it. No problems starting STS this week. You gotta do what you gotta do. I will be 2 weeks behind you. Great job on yoga and biking too. I have to admit, I read that quickly and at first thought you said “Today was bikini yoga.” Good thing I did a double take to make sure you didn’t say bikini! I definitely would not be doing yoga in a bikini but I was going to be impressed with your confidence!

Eunice Great job on Clean Max and grocery shopping! I consider those the evil necessities of life. I hate cleaning and grocery shopping but love when it is done. I hope DH’s surgery goes well. Please keep us posted as soon as you get a chance and take care!

Have a great day!

Julie Wow, you got a lot accomplished on Saturday, that must've felt great! That HI spin video sounds like it would be so nice. Great job on that PLUS abs and stretching, wow! Also Legs and Glutes with extra weight and NE abs!!! Amazing!
I'm not feeling sad about STS being over, I'm ready for something else for a change, even though I have really enjoyed it. I think I need to redo some of my 1 RM tests before I do it again though. Especially during M3 I'm feeling like I should be using some heavier weights for some of the exercises.

Eunice Glad to see you are home and all went well with DHs surgery. Here's hoping that he has a very quick recovery!

Cheryl, Janie, Helen Hope you are all doing well!

This morning was supposed to be Athletic Step, but I felt like I had just done that one so I did the original Body Max (all except the Upper body). That is one of my all time favs, the time just flies by with that one! Yesterday we had a crazy day, 3 times at work they made announcements that we were under a tornado warning and needed to take cover. Luckily there were not any touch downs, except for one small tornado early in the morning about 30 miles from here and thankfully no one was hurt. I discovered that we don't have very good places at work to take cover though  I love 4 day work weeks, I can't believe it is already Wednesday. Have a great one everyone!

Pam

This morning was Rhythmic Step! Such a fun, sweaty workout. :D

Pam Great job on subbing Body Max for AS! I almost subbed AS for RS today but decided to stick with RS because it is such a goodie! 3 tornado warnings in one day is a lot. That is good that they didn’t all touch down. I’m hearing you on the 4 day work weeks. I kind of wish all of my weeks were that way!

Have a great day!

Sorry about being MIA. Yesterday was Step Blast and today I did LIC. Also did stretches afterwords. I haven't been doing extra stretches lately and doing them reminds me how important they are. Also walked Rolly both days for 45 min.

Joey went to Westport today to put money down on the house. We made appointments for the inspector and the well person to come out today. Joey will be getting that info today as well. We decided not to go to Utah (unless the house doesn't cone through for us) and instead, get it ready the way we like, for next Summer. We also found a better route to take in case there is a Tsunami. We didn't like the first one at all. Had to go to lower elevation to get to high ground, this route will not go to lower elevation, instead it only get's higher and it's only 1.9 miles to get there. Not 3 miles. So we're good. We found this route through a topological map. So glad he found this info. I feel so much better knowing this.

Pam, So glad you had a great time at the beach. Oooooo, blackened shrimp, grouper and clams, O my! Nummy Yum.:p Fantastic job on disc 34 chest and back. The last week already, wow, you are doing so well. Be proud.

Julie, Wow, you guys have been busy doing cleanMax. Oh, how sweet to be able to park the car in the garage. Fantastic job on spinning. One of these days I'll get lucky and get a spinning bike. I love HI. What a great setting to bike at. And only a few butt shots. Also for the ab hits and stretching. Good girl. Fantastic job for this mornings L&G. Congratulations are in order for upping your weight and doing the Ab Circuits as well.

Pam, Fantastic job on BM (lower body). It is a great workout for sure. That must have been disconcerting at work getting all those tornado warnings. Tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, they are all dangerous and need to be respected. Thank of it as practice and you all did good. Now you know better and to find/build a place at work for protection so if and when the storm hits, you'll all be better prepared for it.

Julie, Fantastic job on RS. You know that one is my favorite.

Janie

Julie Great job on RS, love that one! I don't think I would be subbing AS for it either. I do like AS, but it doesn't have the fun factor that RS has! I agree, 4 day work weeks all of the time would be heaven. Of course, then we would want 3 day work weeks :D

Janie No problem being MIA, you have a lot going on! Great job on Step Blast and LIC plus extra stretches. Good for you for doing those stretches. Wow, 2 big walks with Rolly also, you WERE busy!
Oh you are going to have so much fun getting your new place ready, so exciting! How far away from your house is it? I'm glad to hear that you found a better evac route too!
I think I discovered that the best place in the office for tornado protection would be in the stairwell. I never realized before how much glass there is in here!

This morning for me was disc 35, one more to go. I was a little sad about this one today Julie, since it is the last plyo legs workout and they are my favorites. I was really huffing and puffing through this one today, not sure why, but I made it. I will NOT miss those 180 degree turns though! Have a great Thursday/Friday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did Gym Styles Back, Shoulders, and Biceps plus the Core Only from Bootcamp. I am spent. I really worked my muscles and forgot how hard and good Gym Styles was. Gym Styles was my introduction to heavy weight lifting and it still gets me good. Those wrist curls at the end are killer. After doing all that, I was curious if I could still do any pull-ups (assisted with a band of course). I could barely get my chin above the bar once! I guess I need to get back into working on those as apparently if you don’t use it you lose it quickly!

Janie Great job on SB and LIC! Both goodies! I am right there with you on the stretches. I always think about it later and wish I had spent more time stretching. I really need to focus on that because I agree it is a very important part of fitness and overall health. Sounds like you guys have been busy with the getting things in order for the new beach house (I just love the sound of that)!

Pam Great job on disc 35 and saying goodbye to the 180 turns! I had a great time counting down that last set of the 180 degree turns. If I remember correctly, I even raised my hands in triumph, Rocky-style. Now that I put more thought into it, I just want to work from home. It would be so nice to get up much later. Workout in daylight, and not have that stupid commute every day!

Cheryl I hope you have been getting good sleep and weather and are doing great overall.

Eunice I saw your DH’s surgery went well. Hope he is still doing well and that you two are spending some time together.

Helen I have been lurking occasionally on your other thread. Seems you are doing really great there. Keep up the good work.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies! So sorry I have being gone for so long but as you all know I'm super busy this days I was gone for 2 days living the girls by them selfs and now I'm just trying to caught up with all my job here at home I cannot believe that is already Friday grrrrr!! DH its doing good thanks for all your concerns about him he's being a good patient too, when we were at the hospital after he got out of the surgery the first thing he was asking for was coffee  crazy huh! then he was hungry, thirsty, just so high in the pain killers and the anestecia too funny too! Also OMG just to see him right away made me sick my blood pressure was low I felt dizzy, stomachache, my whole body was feeling cold:eek: thanks goodness it was only for one day... I promise to get back and catch up with you guys for now I have to go and keep doing my stuff, have to take Sam out then workout, then just keep trying to do something I guess tomorrow its going to be another early day to finish with my chores. Have a great weekend and I missed you all.:(

I guess I have been MIA too. It has been really hot here so I have been outside more than I have been inside sitting at the computer. It has also been tough getting back into the work thing . Anyway to recap the week Monday I did STS disk 1, Tuesday was Hiit 30/30 and Ab Circuts Pilates Abs, Wednesday I was too tired because I hardly slept because of the heat and today it was STS disk 2.

Janie I like Step Works I just did that one last week. It is one I used to do all the time but now it is just occasionally. It is really hot around here isn't it. It looks like summer has come just before we had into fall.

Pam It doesn't look like you will get the new series in time for your recovery week. It looks like it could still be several weeks away yet. I am sad that BC is over but the instructor won't be doing it again. He will be doing dry land training for hockey players. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I thought that it would be good to have my recovery week the first week my SIL is here. That way if I can only fit in some yoga that would be OK. Sounds like you had a good time at the beach and your dinners sounded wonderful. Are you sad that you have finished STS?

Julie Feels good to get all that cleaning done doesn't it. How are you feeling after Legs and Glutes? Did you pass the toilet test :p. That is too funny that you thought I had put bikini yoga :D. I also wouldn't be doing yoga in a bikini either, too many belly rolls .

Eunice Glad to hear that DH's surgery went well. Post when you get time we know you are really busy.

I can't believe how fast the week has flown by. Work has been really busy so that helps. I will try to get back into the swing of things again.

Happy Friday everyone.

Cheryl

Did IMax1 today and walked Rolly for 30 min.

Inspectors found that the roof needs a little repair, it's not leaking but the stuff they have on it needs to be melted onto itself. Also there has been leaking under the house where a couple of tee's(misspelled I'm sure) from the water pipes had been damaged from freezing weather which caused leaking in the house. Two sides of the slide out are effected from the water leakage. Under the house the water caused a lot of water damage there too (wet insulation...) Major damages. Also replacement for the dishwasher, and there are two burned out elements in the furnace. All that will cost $1,500.00 to fix. We are asking the owner to split the cost of $750.00. She's 80+ years and a widow and will give her the benefit of the doubt for not disclosing all these things. The Realitor has his suspicions. We'll see what she will do in a couple of days.

I'm already crocheting hot pads, dish cloths, wash cloths for the bathroom and maybe even make something for the two bedrooms. Can't help it, we will get this place one way or another. We are soooooo excited. When we finally own it, will be busy working on it, getting it fixed...riding our bikes or walking to the beach.

It has always been a dream of mine all my life to live near the ocean and we are going to make my dream come true. I have been saving my (VIP) Voluntary Investment Plan while working at Boeing for many many years and now it's time to collect that money and get this home. Joey just loves the idea. How can he not?

Pam, We only live 80 miles from the little beach house. We plan on living there from June to part of September, so 3 1/2 months. Then to Utah on our boat for about a month then back here the rest of the time. Be sure to remember those stairwells when needed to be in a safe place. Terrific job on disc 35 STS.

Julie, I also love the sound of "The Beach House".:D Terrific job on this mornings GSBS&B and the core only fro BC. I bet you are spent. You worked really hard! Those are not easy workouts. Whew! You did good on the pull up. I agree, if you don't use it you lose it. Wish that wasn't true.

Eunice, I'm so glad your husband is doing good. I know you have a lot to do after being in the hospital waiting for word of your husband. You'll get caught up. Have the girls help you. I, (like your honey) love coffee too. I need at least two huge mugs per day, otherwise I get a headache. I'm glad you didn't faint when you saw your honey for the first time after surgery. You poor thing! Well, now it's behind both of you and you can concentrate on him getting better.

Cheryl, Heavenly weather to be sure, soon we'll have lots of rain again. ugh. Enjoy it while it lasts. Terrific job on STS disc 1 on Mon. and Tuesday's 30/30 and ab circuts pilates abs, also Wednesday's rest. Sounds like you needed that. Terrific job on today's disc 2.

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Julie Wow, great job on GS Back, shoulders, biceps and bootcamp core!! Holy cow, I'm not surprised that you were spent after that, but you still had to try that pull up  Maybe you should give the pull up another chance when you haven't just exhausted yourself! It is frustrating how quickly we lose those gains though, isn't it?
That's so funny that you did the Rocky triumph for finishing the 180 turns. Now I will always be thinking about that when I do those workouts! Working from home is nice. I used to do it every Friday and it just felt so much more relaxing. I am not someone that could do it every day though because I need the human contact. Even when I've had jobs that allowed me to I would choose to go into the office most of the time. The commute sure is a pain though, you are right about that! My new job is more flexible as far as where I work so I might go back to work at home Fridays.

Eunice Don't worry about being absent right now with all tha tyou have going on. You have your priorities in the right place. Funny that DH wanted coffee after his surgery, I guess we know what he missed the most huh? Sometimes they say such funny things when they are high on those painkillers too! It is pretty scary seeing someone like that right after a big surgery. I remember the first time I saw my dad after he had heart surgery I didn't want to go into the room. He didn't even look like himself. And my mom walked right in and kissed him on the head and said how good he looked, I couldn't believe it. She was an OR nurse at the time, so it didn't phase her a bit. I'm glad to hear that he is being a good patient! We've missed you too, but know you'll be back when you can.

Cheryl You've been doing a great job keeping up with your workouts while getting back to work after a week off. Funny you are finally getting hot weather, ours has really cooled off! It's been in the 60's in the mornings and the mid 80's during the day - just beautiful! Good for you for getting out and enjoying the weather while you can! Great job on STS 1 &2, Hitt 30/30 and pilates abs! I don't blame you for taking Wednesday off, that was always my rest day when I had to get up really early.
You're right that it looks like it's going to be awhile for the new series. The last update I saw she said they had only sent 1/10 masters in for duplication and that they wouldn't even get a date until they had all of them. It turns out I will be traveling next week though so I'm not sure how much exercise I'll be getting in. Oh, that's too bad that the instructor won't be doing the bootcamp classes any more, they sounded like they were a lot of fun. I'm not really sad about finishing STS. It feels like a big accomplishment and I'll be ready to do another round again in a few months. Maybe by then I will have forgotten about all of the pushups in m1

Janie Great job on Imax and a nice walk with Rolly!
I think it is very nice of you and Joey to offer to split the cost of the repairs with the current owner. I know that they way inspections work around here if owner doesn't agree to do them then you have the option of backing out of the deal. Hopefully she will see how reasonable you are being and split it with you. That is the part about buying a house that isn't much fun, but it sounds like you are already making plans for making the place your own! I'm so happy for you making your dream come true!!! It sounds heavenly! Only 80 miles from your home is really nice too. You can pop over for just a night if you feel like it! It sounds like you have a perfect plan for splitting your time between there, Utah and home :D

This morning for me was CCC. It seems like that has been in the rotation quite a bit lately. I made it through but it was especially tough because I had cramps this morning. I was hoping that working out would make them go away but no such luck. Oh well, I toughed it out and got through it anyway. This week really has flown by, I can't believe it's already Friday. Next week I am going to be in Austin Monday-Thursday so not sure how much working out I'll get in. At least I won't be home wishing I had the new series. Have a great Friday/Saturday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did Lower Body Blast including the Leg Conditioning Drills at the end.

Eunice No worries not posting. We know you have been swamped and taking care of so much at home. Stay in there. Life will get back to normal before you know it.

Cheryl Great job on all your workouts and starting STS. I think I am going to have to postpone my next STS rotation. My mom wants to go down to FL to go through her mother’s stuff in November and wants me to help her. The time she picked is in the middle of Meso 2 if I kept with starting next week. Also, next week I have to go to OH for my grandma’s memorial service and that would put a kink in my STS line up for that week. I am thinking of starting it November 28 now. I hate putting it off but I want to make sure I can focus this time around since last time I was busy remodeling during the first 2 Mesos. I actually did pretty well after L&G and passed the toilet test. It didn’t get me as good as I thought it would which is weird.

Janie Great job on Imax and your walk with Rolly! $1500 doesn’t sound that bad for all that you described. I guess it could be worse. I hope she does split the price with you. $750 each wouldn’t be that bad. Your plan for living in different places different times of the year sounds nice. So it’s a boat house you have in UT? That would be interesting. Do you take your pets with you to UT?

Pam Great job on CCC! Always a toughie when you feeling well so to do it with cramps is amazing! Yea, I will be trying the pull-ups again on a day when I don’t feel exhausted. Not sure when but I got get back in the habit of doing them. I hope that I have that muscle memory they talk about and it doesn’t take me long to work back up to them. I tend to the Rocky triumph arms a lot on tough workouts or tough sections. Or sometimes I just blurt out “Thank you!”

Have a great day! Yea for the weekend!

Well we just had an 6.7 earthquake here. It hit just off the coast of Vancouver Island around 12:40 this afternoon. We didn't feel it but people who are on higher floors said that they felt it. It didn't do any damage and there is no tsunami warning at least. Scary stuff.

Well this morning I did STS disk 3. It was really hard this morning all I wanted to do is go back to bed.

Janie Good job on Imax 1 and walking Rolly. For everything that needs to be fixed on your new place it doesn't cost very much. Hopefully the owner will help you out by paying half. That is great that you would have several different places to live in during the year.

Pam Well our weather isn't much different than yours but for me it is really hot. It goes down to the high 50s to low 60s at night and during the day it has been the high 80s to low 90s. If you are travelling next week you may be able to use the gym in the hotel. Or if you have Travel Fit you could take that with you. I hate all of the push ups in meso 1. If you do forget about them I am sure it will all coming rushing back to you once you start again :p. Good work on doing CCC with cramps. That wouldn't have been much fun. You are a trooper :D.

Julie Good job on Lower Body Blast and the Leg Conditioning Drills. Those are tough. Too bad that you have to postpone your next rotation of STS but things happen. At least you know it will be there waiting for you when you can start it again. Weird that L&G didn't get you I find that one leaves my legs sore for a couple of days.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Cheryl

Today was High Reps. Man that's hard! Also walked Rolly for 45 min.

Pam, Great job on CCC, and you did it with cramps. Wow, I'm impressed. I bet it took a lot of concentration. Have safe travels to Austin.

Julie, We use to take our house boat into Lake Powell every Fall trip, but since the drought we have it in dry storage. We use it now as a home base to travel to and from. Yep, we take out animals with us. I could never leave them with anyone, I'd worry to much. Great job on LBB with Leg conditioning drills.

Cheryl, Wow an earthquake! You didn't feel that! Well I guess you wouldn't feel the full force off Vancouver Island. Wow! Great job on STS disc 3. You should be very proud of yourself for sticking with the program. Yea!

Take care,

Janie

Julie Great job on LBB and the drills! I'm surprised you weren't feeling L&G more, you even upped your weights didn't you? I guess you are just getting stronger and stronger! I have no doubt that those pull ups will come back quickly once you start doing them again. That is the great thing about being in shape. :p I love your Rocky triumphs! I will have to remember that!

Cheryl OMG, a 6.7 earthquake!!! Earthquakes just scare me to death, I'm glad that you weren't able to feel it and didn't have any damage. Great job on STS disc 3 and toughing it out even when you didn't feel like it. That's funny, what is really hot for you is a nice cool down for us. Of course everyone has AC here, that makes a huge difference. I remember the hot days (and especially nights) growing up in Michigan and just laying in front of a fan trying to cool off.
I'm not sure if the hotel I'm staying at next week has much of a gym, I'm pretty sure I've stayed at this hotel before and it is one of those little tiny rooms with a bike, a treadmill and a stairmaster and you're lucky if they are all working. I will take travel fit with me and maybe do some of the Cathe downloads in my room that don't require equipment or a lot of room. We'll see! Oh yea, I had forgotten about the meso 1 pushups before this round of STS, but it only takes getting to that chest disc the first time for those repressed memories to come charging back :rolleyes:

Janie Great job on HR! Such a hard workout. And a nice long walk with Rolly too. He is one spoiled little boy!

Nurse Eunice Hope you and your patient are having a great weekend!

This morning was disc 36, my last STS workout. My biceps were really weak this morning too, so all of those curls were HARD! Maybe because we skiied last night....:confused: Then I added on the cardio only from 4DS bootcamp. That is a nice little add on, but those drop down and pushup things at the end always get me on that one. I had to drop to my knees for the last 4 pushups. This morning is going to be all about car inspections. We have 4 cars that are due....our old truck inspection expired over a year ago and we didn't realize it:confused::( That means that the registration isn't current either. Yikes. We rarely drive it though, it's just the work truck for taking things to the dump or picking stuff up at the hardware store. I just hope we don't have to pay a penalty. Have a great weekend everyone!
