Strength in Numbers

Julie Great job on Drill Max. I really love that workout and it always leaves me feeling like a wet noddle when I'm done. Great job upping your weights too :D
Yep, chest and back makes me feel strong too, and then biceps and shoulders come along and make me feel weak :D I hope when you say that you are pretty even in chest and back you aren't talking about bench press and dead lifts?! I noticed that Cathe and crew actually do seem to use close to the same weight for those 2 exercises, NOT ME! I am like a little wimp with chest press ( I use like 40 pounds on my dumbbell) and then up to 95 for deadlifts  On the other with dumbbells I'm close to the same weights though....

Cheryl I agree with you, I love puppies but they are sure a lot of work. When we had one I used to say that I knew why God made them so cute - so you don't kill them ;) We had a little lab puppy and he could go up stairs but not down them, so he would go to the top and then sit there and whine for someone to come and bring him back done. And then of course when he started eating my shoes I wasn't very happy...or the entire cake that disappeared off the counter.....:rolleyes: I know Eunice can relate to these stories! I hadn't cleaned out my closet in a long time. I usually try to do it at least once a year, but it's been at least 2 years since the last time so I was way overdue. I hope you got a good nights rest with the cooler temperatures. Our temp is really starting to drop at night, it was only 68 this morning when I got up!

Janie Oh wow, how exciting about the place at the ocean!!!!! Have you found out any news yet, or negotiations still in progress? You will have to post pictures of your new getaway. It sounds absolutely wonderful! And a nice walk on the beach - perfect!

Eunice Great idea figuring out the toppings for the kids so tha tyou aren't always cooking 2 meals. I know one thing that I do sometimes for the kids with veggies is make a cheese sauce which they love. Oh your movie theater sounds so nice, it would e a lot of fun to go see a movie like that. Of course you know I would want to take a bottle of wine! ;):p How long will your DH have to be off work after his surgery? I hope he is an easy patient! I know mine isn't :p
No I don't need to go shopping anytime soon. We are going to the beach this weekend though and my girlfriend and I usually do a little shopping when we are there because they have some cute little shops, but nothing much.
Great job on disc 21 and your walks with Sam. Enjoy all of those DOMS :D

This morning for me was Hiit 40/20 and stability ball abs. According to the rotation I was supposed to do pilates abs, but I don't really like that one so did stability ball instead. It was good except of course I don't do the 1-legged pikes. Maybe I will get over my fear and at least try one one day. I subbed in 2 legged pikes instead. I was still huffing and puffing at the end. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday/Wednesday!

Pam

This morning I did Butts & Guts  and upped my weight so I was lifting more than Cathe except on the ankle weights! 2 ½ pounds per ankle is plenty for that little series of fun moves! :p

Cheryl I hate it when I get too hot while trying to sleep. Sunday night I was sweating almost the entire night. It is not fun trying to sleep in a sweaty pool. I think those side planks in DM are so hard because they move fast. Maybe since they are last I should just do them at my own pace and pause the DVD until I am done. Hope you got better sleep last night.

Janie The beach house does sound perfect and I agree with might as well spend your savings on something you will enjoy and use than just keep it in a bank. Plus you putting it in real estate which is like an investment so hopefully if you do sell it (or pass it on to your kids) it will be worth more than you paid for it by then. I am trying to up my weights as much as possible. I figure why bother doing STS to increase my strength if I just go back to the same old weights for the other workouts. I might struggle a bit sometimes and even lower them back down halfway through but I’m trying.

Eunice Great job on back/biceps disc 21! I’m already missing STS and can’t wait to start again. Sam is such a lucky boy on getting his walks in with you. I have been bad and stopped taking my puppies on walks. We need to get back in the habit but it is dark in the mornings now and too hot when I get home. Maybe in the Fall we will start going again when I get home from work. Oh yes, I am a big time planner. I like to work the plan over and over again until I think it is perfect. I also type it up and print it out so I can check off the items. One day I hope to not be as uptight!

Pam Great job on 40/20 and SB Abs! I am not a fan of the pilates abs either and those 1-legged pikes are a pipe dream for me. No I am not even with chest press and deadlifts! LOL! I was talking about chest press and barbell rows and chest flies and 1-arm rows. I also seem to be even with barbell curls and lying extensions. It actually makes it nice for not having to change out my weights during M3.

Have a great day!

Janie The beachhouse sounds really nice. I hope she takes your offer. It is nice to be able to talk to the neighbours, however on those days you don't get a lot done :D.

Eunice I am still on the fence with the program but if I do it I need to decide soon. Good job on taking Sam for a walk and doing disc 21.

Pam That is funny about your lab puppy and not being able to go down stairs. When our neighbours got their puppy he could go up but he couldn't come down. He did the same thing and whinned at the top of the stairs. What they did is to put kibbles on the stairs going down to encourage him. It worked and now he has now problem. You do accumulate a lot of stuff in 2 years don't you. I know what you mean about forgetting the clothes that you did have because you couldn't find them. It is nice when it is cooler in the mornings. Good job on Hiit 40/20 and stability ball abs.

Julie Good job on Butts and Guts. Nice that you could lift heavier than Cathe. That must have felt good. You don't feel rested if you are really hot when you are sleeping. I hate trying to sleep in a sweaty pool.

Today I was going to do Lower Body Blast one of my favorites but my back is so sore that I knew I wouldn't be able to do it. I have no idea what I did but it sure does hurt. So I did all of Stretch Max instead. Hopefully tomorrow it will feel better.

Have a great day.

Cheryl

Pam I'm the same when it comes to work chest/back I feel so good and strong but biceps and triceps get me every time, for legs i think I'm pretty even I cannot deadlift 95 pounds NOT YET :p for chest the heaviest I did last week was 57 pounds I was looking at me workout sheet and for this week I had 60  I don't think I could have done that with out spotter or the rack:eek: Sam its very good with not getting into the trash can or the counter top, he ate some of the girls sandals and underwear one morning he got into the laundry room and got one:mad: that's only when someone leave the door open. So weird that now you all are getting the temperature dropping it looks like it was only yesterday that you guys had cold weather, yuck!!! that means that we are getting hot soon not fun! Hahaha!! when I was reading your post I thought oh she is going to say that she will want to take a nap in the movies but NOT you want to take the bottle of wine! I'm sure you could if you wanted it:p OMG I think that DH its going to make me pay for me being a horrible patient I am really bad when I'm sick  I hope he does better then me... I bet you'll find something cute when you go out with your girlfriend. Good job doing 40/20 and stability ball abs, I would have done the same if the workout wasn't going to make me smile:D 2 legged pikes are hard enough for me I probably can get 3 of those, how many did you get?

Julie Oh BOY!! Butts & Guts its a tough one and more when you do up your weight I hope you can walk tomorrow:p I really want to put a face to this mysterious woman I know Pam, I know Cheryl, I know Janie now I just need to put face to this girl :D Oh yes Sam is such a spoiled dog, I take him as much as I can if not he gets bored and star attacking the kids, Not really but jumping over them he's so big that I'm afraid of them getting hurt and after school and weekends my house look like kindergarten with Rachel and Stacy's friends they come just to see Sam:p I wish I was a little bit of not a planner but more organized I don't plan I just go with what the day have for me. Typed and printer out so you can marked them off, well what can I say if it works for you it work..

Cheryl She just put up phase 2 and it looks pretty good, I'm thinking if I will get the same benefits as the others because most of the exercises are gym equipment  anyways you should go and take a pick ;) Oh men you should take care of your back I remember when my back was hurting it does bother for everything even to do vacuum, good job resting and stretching.

Today I did legs disc 20 oh boy my legs were about to give up on me, I took Sam out for a long walk but I know that has nothing to do with my legs wanting to poop on me it was the new paper plates  ouch!! but loving it.. I just got my stock of goodies I ordered healthy sugar and protein some vitamins and I'm soooo ready to bake:p have a good day !!!

Today was Power Max. Whew! Walked Rolly 20 min. The place I'm talking about near the ocean is not a beautiful house. It's a single wide, but, it has all this yard space. Perhaps in the near future, we can take that one out and put a decent house in it's place. But for now, it will get us where we want, nNear the ocean and walking distance. The way I'm looking at is a motor home with sewer, water and power. Except it's big for a motor home. LOL:rolleyes:

Eunice, Great job on your continued walks with Sam. Also on back/biceps from STS. Million pesos sounds horribly expensive. I bet the house near the beach in Playa Del Carmen is beautiful!

Pam, Won't hear any news about the house until Friday or so. Cross your fingers for us. If we get it, I'll post pictures for sure. Great job on Hiit 40/20 and stability abs. I sometimes like to replace workouts too. It's all good.

Julie, Great job on those B&G and upping your weight. Yea and Congrats! I do believe that later the property will once again be worth some money. Kids can worry about it then. We'll use it until I'm in my 80's for sure.

Cheryl, Keep your fingers crossed for us on the house! Great job on the start of LBB and better job on those stretches. Keep your back safe.

Eunice
, Great job on legs Disc 20. Bet your legs quivered. That's good though. Sam is getting spoiled like my Rolly. They deserve the walks.

Good night every, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Janie

Julie Great job on B&G and upping your weights. You are right, 2 1/2 pound ankle weights are plenty for that little series - ouch! That is so funny that you write out a list for the weekend so that you can check things off! I usually have a plan in my head with a schedule to go along with it. My DH only discovered this recently but said that it explains a lot! I am wimpy on my chest press - only 40 pounds and I use over 50 for rows. I guess I should be using 50 for my chest press because I use 25 pound dumbbells for the flies and incline flies...hmmmmmmm. I don't mind changing my weights in m3 because there is plenty of time with those long rests and then I'm not just sitting around waiting for the next exercise to start

Cheryl You shouldn't sweat not getting a lot done if you are enjoying yourself. That is what life is all about, right?! Your friends were smart putting treats on the steps to get the puppy to go down, as long as the puppy didn't start expecting treats whenever he went up/down stairs! Yes, it is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in a couple of years!
Oh no, sorry to hear that your back is bothering you again! You were smart to do stretch max instead of a workout. Take care of it and hopefully it will be feeling better soon.

Eunice Wow 57 pounds for chest is heavy! You brute! I am only doing 40 pounds with the barbell or 25 pound dumbbells for chest. I can't imagine trying to do 60 pounds for presses! Yes, it is important to remember to leave doors closed when you have animals around that like to eat things. I don't know about your kids, but we have a terrible time with the kids leaving doors open. I know, I can't believe that the temperature is dropping already and that summer is almost over. :( It has gone by so fast. We will still have 6-8 weeks of nice weather though, but it has just flown by.
Well I might take a nap at the movies too, especially if I had that bottle of wine with me :p I have a very hard time staying awake for movies! UH OH, I hope your DH is a better patient than you are! Hmmm...I don't know how many 2 legged pikes I did. I think 4+4? However many 2 legged she does plus however many 1-legged she does. I don't think my 2-legged ones look as good as theirs do though. I'm quite sure my legs don't get as close to my head  I'm always panting for breath when I'm done with them too.
Great job on disc 20 and your long walk with Sam. I hope your legs are feeling better today and not too rubbery! Have fun with your baking!

Janie Great job on PM, another headband wringer! And your walk with Rolly too. Hey, anyplace at the beach is nice, it's all about the scenery. You know what they say - location, location, location! I'm keeping my fingers, toes, eyes, etc. crossed for you!
My mother used to tell us that every night: Good night, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite! I used to say it to my step-children until one day my DSD asked me not to - she said it freaked her out thinking about bed bugs :confused: that was the end of that!

This morning for me was disc 32 plyo legs. This one didn't seem quite as hard as the other plyo leg discs, but it did have those one legged squat thrusts. I am MUCH stronger on my right leg than my left. Just when I was thinking that Cathe said 'I definitely have a stronger side for these and this isn't it!" Those were my thoughts exactly  Only 4 more discs to go in STS, I can hardly believe it. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pam

This morning I ran 2 miles and then did Pyramid Upper Body. I remembered Cheryl’s advice of doing the abs first before my arms turned to jello and I am glad I did. My arms feel like noodles but also like they weigh a ton.

Cheryl Hopefully stretching out your back helps. I have never done more than 1 SM segment at a time but I bet it felt really great to do an hour of stretching. It did feel good to go heavier than Cathe on B&G but on the second set of squats when you do 4 sets of 15 pulses, I thought I was going to die by the end of that second set.

Eunice Great job on disc 20! Those paper plates do get you good don’t they! But I sure love them. Oh boy I am in trouble now  with not having a picture. I really need to get on that for you. My legs are fine today but my booty sure is feeling it. I guess that is why Cathe called it Butts & Guts. It isn’t always a good thing to be as much of a planner as I am. Sometime I wish I could just go with the flow a little more. :(

Janie Great job on Power Max plus your walk! A single wide by the beach is still better than nothing by the beach. Besides I have seen many manufactured homes both single and double wide that are very nice. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed you get the house for what you want to pay for it.

Pam Great job on disc 32! I can’t believe you are almost done with STS. Only one more week after this week? Wow it flies by doesn’t it? I am definitely stronger on my right side with those 1-legged squat thrusts too. I love it when Cathe says things like that because it reminds me she is human like me! :p I’m not sure if there is a rule of thumb about weight relationships between flies and presses. I actually lift more with presses (61 pounds for flat and 57 for incline) than I do for flies (26 for flat and 25 for incline). I do make sure DH is home to spot me on barbell presses when I am that heavy though. Otherwise, I think my mind would hold me back from being able to lift that heavy for fear of the barbell crashing down on my chest or neck. My DH used to think I was crazy with my lists but he is starting to like them now and actually asks me for my list when he knows we have a busy weekend ahead of us. Although maybe he is just being nice in indulging my quirkiness.

Have a great day!

Today was 40/20 and walked Rolly for 30 min. I haven't walked from the house to the beach yet, but Joey says he's mistaken, it is 3/4 of a mile to the beach. Who cares, it will take about 15 min or so (depending on the energy that day) by walking fast and just a few min. on bike. Time to get the old bikes out.

Pam, Great job on disc 32 plyo legs. I'm stronger on one side than the other too, also one side I can balance better than the other. Wonder why that is? You are doing so well. Oh no! I can see a child thinking that way. Poor thing. (Good night, sleep tight...)

Julie, Great job on this mornings 2 mile run and PUB. You go girl! Glad you did the abs first. You and Cheryl are smart to do them first. I'll have to remember that.

See yas,

Janie

Julie Great job on your run and PUB. You are so smart remembering to do the abs first. I always remember that advice at about the time tha tI am getting to the abs section  Very very heavy noodle arms - great description! My legs always feel that way at the end of CCC - I'm always thinking there is no way my legs are getting up in the air for those high kicks at the end, but somehow they do....
yes, STS really does go by fast, it is amazing. I think that I am a little 'more' human than Cathe is ;) Wow, you are strong with your presses! 61 and 57 pounds are amazing!!! Great job! I'm not sure I could even get 61 pounds up in the air once  I'm pretty sure my DH would NOT appreciate a list that I created for him. He keeps a running to-do list of things that he wants to do done at some point, but I am not allowed to put anything on it, only suggest items for him to add :p:rolleyes:

Janie Great job on 40/20 and your walk with Rolly. You have really been hitting it hard since that toe healed. 3/4 of a mile isn't far at all, you are nice and close to the beach. Are there any other places around? Great idea to get the bikes out too.
I think that we just naturally favor one side or another in our everyday life, so we end up getting stronger on one side than the other. Probably why the balance is better on one side too.

Eunice, Cheryl and Helen Hope you are all doing well!

This morning for me was supposed to be MMA Fusion but I just did that one recently so swapped in Intensity since I haven't done it in awhile. That probably wasn't the smartest move the day after plyo legs - my legs were really feeling it, but I got through it. Then I did the abs from SJP. I hope everyone is having a great day!

Pam

This morning I did Pyramid Lower Body! I think I could’ve upped my weights a little and will make sure I do that next time. I love that work out except for the ball work at the end. Although I have to say the ball work doesn’t seem to be quite as brutal as Gym Style Legs floorwork. I do have major DOMS from PUB yesterday including my abs!

Janie Great job on 40/20! Plus your walk with lucky dog Rolly! ¾ of a mile is still very close like you said. I’m still hoping you get it.

Pam Great job on Intensity! It has been awhile since I have done that one as a whole. Such a good one though. Oh yes, CCC takes more out of my legs than my abs for sure. It should Be Cardio Leg Circuit. Hope your legs recover!

Have a great day!

JanieGood job doing PM:D I bet it was something!! Ohh a house near the beach in Playa Del Carmen its gorgeous I love the style too. That's what DH tell the girls sleep tight ad don't let the bed bugs bite :p

Pam The rest time in meso 3 doesn't bother me at all either and more when you are lifting that heavy you enjoy that time. Enjoy the rest of your summer next time you know its winter, I'm starting to feel a little warm when I'm walking with Sam:confused: Ohh so funny once I took the girls to watch Jogy the Bear not fun one at least not for me so next thing I know I was dramming I had to make my self to stay awake someone else was next to me and it wasn't DH:eek: Yesterday I did core and of course I did balance ball core I try to do 2 legged pike not good, not pretty either I have a long way to go. Good job doing plyo legs disc 32 so good that it wasn't hard for you you are getting so strong.

Julie good job doing the 2 milles run PUB and core deff so worth to try to do core before anything else get tired... I know but the funny thing is that it was brand new plates so they were more slippery so the first move got me really goo, now just imagine doing the rest of the workout. ouch!! I'm still sore.:D Yes you are in such a trouble you need to upload a picture!!

Janie You just rocking the place with all those workouts ouch! 40/20 not an easy one but sooo happy for you that you are able to do it.. and walking with Rolly, I'm with Pam who cares how far away is the house from the beach you get to use your bikes too.

Pam I'm always breaking my little vain in my fingers with those kicks:eek: Good job doing Intensity wow after plyo legs good for you.. and abs too.

Julie great job doing PUB LB you are working hard.

Yesterday I did shoulders from disc 19 and core I did balance ball it was good, very impress that I did shoulder over press 18 pounds :eek:that's the first time I lift that heavy I always drop down to 12's when I'm doing them whole dvd but this time I was fresh and strong so yeah love it... I have being spending a lot of time in the kitchen now cooking for all of my meals baking the protein bars because EVERYONE eats them so I'm always baking or cooking, so far so good I have notice a little chance on my waist the love handles are starting to fade away yaya!! even my jeans are a tiny loose on my waist something really fanny I asked DH if he noticed anything diff and he say NO but my wallet does!!!hahaha I taught it was very funny... well today Friday/Sat/Sun are my rest days and I'm fine with that not a fuss or anything I'm still sticking to this program. Have a great weekend every one.:D

Eunice I will need to take a look at phase 2. I think you can get the same benefits using just weights instead of gym equipment. Good job on disc 20. How are you using STS with Jamie's program? It doesn't seem like you are starting with meso 1 and then moving to meso 2 and so on.

Janie Good job on Power Max, 40/20 and walking Rolly. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Pam This has been a very relaxing holiday. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked but it will get done eventually. Those one legged squat thrusts are hard. I can never keep my balance on those things. Good job on Intensity that is a toughie.

Julie Doing the ab work first really does help doesn't it. My arms are always like noodles after the bicep work so it was too hard to do the planks on the ball after it. The stretching did help and it did feel good to do an hour of it. This was the first time I had done all three segments one right after another.

I realized that I forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday my back was feeling better so I did Low Max. I just modified it by just sticking to a 6 inch step instead of raising it to the 8 inches. This morning I did High Reps and the only modification was on the deadlifts. I really had to lighten my weights and could only go down to my knees. Today we went to our neice's and nephews for lunch. We hadn't seen them in a while so it was good to sit and chat. The weather is getting cooler here you can tell that fall is in the air.

Happy Friday everyone.

Cheryl

Today was Step Fit. Walked Rolly about 30 min.

Pam, There are other places around the ocean, so if we don't get this one, there will be others that will come up. Teriffic job on Intensity and abs from SJP. I do bet your legs are fried. Time to get the roller out I think.

Julie, Terrific job on PLB. Congratulations on having DOM's. You did good.

Eunice, I love that old saying, my mom use to say that to me. Bless her heart. Terrific job on disc 19 shoulders & core. Congratulations for upping your weight and decreasing and tightening up your body. Yahoo! Enjoy your rest day, you deserve it.

Cheryl, Terrific job on LM. I have to use the top part of the step on that workout. Also fantastic job on this mornings HR. Glady you modified on the deadlifts when your back is sore. Very smart of you.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Julie Great job on PLB It sounds like your STS rotation really gave you some strength improvements. Good fo you! Hooray for the DOMs! I'm with you, CCC should be Cardio leg circuit!

Eunice Oh man I don't want winter to come at all. I will be so jealous of you when it is cold here and you are having your summer. But I guess you had to put up with us talking about all of our summer activities while you were having winter so it's only fair. You were dreaming in the movie theater? You should've had one of your girls kick you every so often to make sure you stayed awake :D How are your abs feeling today after that balance ball core? I hope you have some good DOMS. Now I didn't say that disc 32 wasn't hard, just not AS hard ;)
Oh man, you kick yourself in the fingers? That isn't good, be careful!
Wow, great job on your shoulder presses. Do you have 18 pound dumbbells? I have 15s and then all the way to 20s. Even with my weighted gloves I can only get to 17 with dumbbells and that is always a dilemma when I need to be in between there. If they make some between 15 and 20 I need to find them! Woo hoo, you seeing results from the program, that is awesome! You should tell DH you are going to kick him in that wallet of his  ;)
What are the protein bars you are making? Is it the recipe that someone posted on FB with the dates? I was looking at that one, but I don't like dates so don't think I would like it.

Cheryl So glad that you are enjoying your time off, you are off next week too, right? I'm glad to hear that your back is doing better and you were able to get some workouts in. I think you were smart for modifying those deadlifts though. They would be tough on a tender back! It must be feeling a lot better though if you were able to do HR. That is a toughie! Great job.

Janie Great job on Step Fit and your walk with Rolly. Is today the day that you get the news on the house? Still keeping everything crossed for you! Oh great idea on the roller, why didn't I think of that?

This morning for me was disc 33 shoulders, bis and tris. Only one more week of STS to go. I guess those new Cathe discs better get here soon so that I'll have something to do when I finish. It's funny Julie, I had forgotten all about the new series until you mentioned it last week :confused: Not sure how that happened. I'm happy it's Friday, we are going to the beach for the weekend, it's a long weekend, and I have officially started my new job! Yee haw! Of course I spent all day yesterday and will spend half of today doing close outs, but that will make me even more happy to have it behind me. Have a great day and a great weekend everyone!

Pam

This morning I did a spinning video again. This was from the same company as my 90 minute video last Saturday but was only 80 minutes this time. This one only had about 1 minute of butt shots and the rest was scenery. I do wish the scenery was a little nicer. It is in Reno, NV and they spend about 2/3 of the time in town and the rest of the time in the desert. I like the desert scenery better. I have a horrible habit of not stretching after running or spinning. I don’t seem to remember that I forgot to stretch until I am sitting at my desk working and wondering why my hamstrings are so tight.

Eunice Great job on disc 19 shoulders! Plus core on the stability ball! 18 pounds for an overhead press is awesome! I am only at 15 pounds but hopefully a couple more rounds of STS will help with that. That’s pretty cool that your whole family enjoys the homemade protein bars. I couldn’t get DH to even try one. It is like as soon as he finds out something is healthy, he wants nothing to do with it. That is funny what your DH said about his wallet noticing a change. That is the bad thing about being healthy, it just seems so darn expensive. That’s also great that you are seeing changes. The plan must be working.

Cheryl Great job on LM and HR! Good for you for modifying. Modifications mean you are still working out and still at an intensity you can handle. Yes, remembering your tip of doing the ab work first in PUB was a lifesaver. I don’t think I would have been able to handle those planks and pikes at the end of the ab section if I had done arms first. Not that I did that section perfectly anyway but I certainly did better than if I had waited. I’m glad your back is doing better.

Janie Great job with Step Fit! I really like the cool down in that one. The Macerena cool-down is just so much fun for some reason. It’s crazy but I still have DOMS from PUB and now my lower body is feeling it from PLB. It’s all good though!

Pam Great job on disc 33! I’m hoping the new series comes quick too. I have 2 more weeks before I start my next STS rotation. Next week I finish off a Cathe rotation so I was hoping to use that week in between to play around with the new series. Plus I am very impatient when I want something. Well hopefully next week you will be able to start getting into your new job and getting settled in. Enjoy the beach (lucky duck)!

Have a great day!

Hello, ladies. All is going well.

Janie: I hope you get the house!

Pam: Congrats on the new job!

Cheryl: Glad your back is feeling better.

Eunice: Sounds like your program is working for you. Your DH's wallet is losing weight, too, huh? LOL

Julie: I like working abs first, too. I find I skip them if I "save" them for last because I'm just spent!

It's been a good week for me with workouts and food. I started another thread in this Check-ins & Challenges section called "A Simple Recipe: Mix 1 Part Workout with 2 Parts Nutrition" since that's where my struggle is...nutrition. I've been spending time there every day and I feel it's helping just to have started posting my thoughts from the ground up, so to speak. I still read what you all are doing every day and will pop in from time to time! :)

It's time for Legs. Second time this week, so I'm a little nervous.

Have a good day, all! :D Helen

Today was Double Wave Pyramid. MMMMMMAAAAANNNNNN! Also plan on walking Rolly later today.

Pam, I thought we would hear something on the house, but not yet. Maybe they said another date. Anyhoo, it shouldn't take too long now. Fingers crossed. Great job on disc 33 shoulders, bis & tris. Awe the beach. Have fun! Congratulations on your new job. Yea! Enjoy it.

Julie, Great job on the spinning videos. Seems that 90 or 80 min. is a very long time. Good for you! It's easy to forget stretching. I use to think since my workout is done I'm done, but I think that stretching is the most important thing to do. Those spin videos sound wonderful.

Helen, I see you have a wonderful group. Good for you, the more support you can get the better off. I absolutely love the name! It hits home. Glad to know you will be popping in. You can have more than one group. Enjoy.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Janie Good job on Step Fit, DWP and walking Rolly. I hope you hear about your new house soon. I hate waiting.

Pam No I am back at work next week :(. I can't believe how fast it went by. Deadlifts can get me even when my back is good so I have to be careful with them. Good job on disc 33. What you forgot about the new series !!!!! You guys will get it long before I will. Enjoy your time at the beach. So exciting starting a new job, I bet next week will go by fast for you.

Julie That is good that there was only 1 minute of butt shots. I am the same as you where I won't stretch unless it is in the video.

Helen I like the name of your Check-in. I think we all struggle with the nutrition part. It sounds so easy but life gets in the way you then you want something fast not always nutritious. I hope your leg workout went well.

Today I did Step Works. I hadn't done that one in a while and I was dripping with sweat after it. Our friends from Norway came over today and we went for ice cream. This is the last time we will see them before they head back. Later this afternoon we went to Costco and on the way back we were waiting to turn at a light and at the corner was a deer eating grass. The traffic didn't seem to bother him at all.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheryl

This morning I did Muscle Max! It was awesome! Now DH and I are going to clean out the garage. From our remodeling of the house, we just threw all the junk in the garage. It is completely full of boxes, trim, drywall, etc. We ordered a dumpster so I guess now I will be doing Dumpster Max! :D

Helen I am glad you started another thread to help with the nutrition part. I think that is the hardest part. Eating right makes all the difference. Good luck.

Janie Great job on DWP! That one is quite the doozy but does seem to go by fast. I completely agree that stretching is the most important part but I always seem to let it slide. I need to seriously work on that.

Cheryl Great job on SW! I think I did that one during one of my recovery weeks over the summer. It is a headband ringer as Janie would say! Mmmm! Ice cream sounds so good right now. I think deer are really pretty to look at. After harvest time here, they love going out into the fields and picking the leftovers. They just look so graceful.

Happy weekend!

Julie Great job on your spinning video. I had to laugh when you said it was ONLY 80 minutes. That's a long ride! I love stretching after spinning because it feels so TGIF to put my foot up on the saddle to stretch. I really need to check out some of those videos, they sound really good. I like the different locations, it seems like it would make it more interesting. I'm glad you didn't have to spend most of the workout looking at butts this time.
It soudsn like the workouts are all filmed, so hopefully it's just a matter of a short time now.

Helen so glad to hear that you are doing well. Pop in and visit us whenever you can!

Janie Greet job on DWP. That one lays gets me, for some reason I'm expecting it to be easier than it is.
Well hopefully you will hear about the beach house soon. In the words of Tom Petty, the waiting is the hardest part!

Cheryl oh bummer, I was thinking that you had another week off. At least it's a short week though. I know, I can't believe I forgot about the new series either. Of course now that I have remembered I want it to get here by the end if next week when I finish STS! Great jib ion SW! I am trying to remember that one, I think it is one of the oldies that I like but I haven't done it in awhile. Is it a scrunchie and thing one?! That's pretty funny about the deer nit caring about the cars. My DH was in our driveway playing basketball one day and there were 5 deer in the neighbors backyard eating and watching him and didn't care that he was there. Weird.

Julie great job on MM and have fun with dumpster max! Doesn't sound like much fun, but it does sound like a second workout! "]This morning I did Muscle Max! It was awesome! Last night we went for a ski and then out for pizza. This morning for me was Step Moves plus cardio only from circuit blast and then the abs from PUB. that one was thanks to Julie and Cheryl! I couldn't do all of the pikes or those hold one leg things up at the end, I was done! Now I'm all packed for the beach and just waiting for DD to get out of work so we can go. Guess I'll cut the lawn while I'm waiting. Hve a great Saturday/Sunday!
