Cathlete
Good afternoon, everyone. I just finished MMA Boxing and I am dripping. I do like that workout more than most cardio workouts. But I much prefer to lift weights.
Eunice: I have done multiple rounds of P90X starting in July of 2007. It was instrumental in helping me lose almost 40 pounds and got me hooked on weight lifting and working out in general. I had never heard of Cathe Friedrich before I stumbled upon her website a just few years ago. I bought Muscle Max, Kickmax, Slow & Heavy and then STS and the Shock Cardio series. I just love how Cathe does every rep of every exercise and gives pointers along the way. I found Tony Horton to be just a little too goofy, but I stuck with him because it was working, and I hadn't found anything better (until Cathe's workouts). I had to do my last 90 days of P90X (finished just a few weeks ago) with the sound turned all the way down. I will forever be grateful to P90X for getting me going!
Julie: I do like STS more than P90X. It seems to be a more complete weight lifting program...more balanced. The nice thing about P90X is that there is no guessing about which cardio workouts to do since everything is all organized for you. It also comes with a nutrition guide, which is nice, too. It tells you exactly how much to eat to reach whatever goals you've set out to reach. I think Tony Horton is knowledgeable and, although he does not hold any fitness certifications, he certainly does look the part. (And...if you find a workout that will get your husband to start working out, let me know...I can't get mine to budge!)
Janie: Thank you. Yes, we have the New Madrid Fault that starts in southern Missouri. In the late '80's or early '90's it was "predicted" that we would have a catastrophic earthquake along the New Madrid Fault on some exact date in December of whatever year it was. People were going nuts screwing picture frames and furniture to their walls, stockpiling canned goods, etc. The earthquake never happened as predicted.
Hello to everyone else! Have a good afternoon and evening! Helen
