Strength in Numbers

Cheryl Sorry to hear that you had a rough week. You were probably getting used to the work schedule again. Oh man, I feel for you with the coffee incident. It's always when you are wearing white too, isn't it  Thank goodness last week is behind you and this is anew week! Great job on bootcamp and yoga over the weekend.

Eunice There is no telling if we ever will get to Australia for vacation, but it is fun to think about it :D I do know that you have a lot of really good wine over there. I would love to go on some wine tours over there! I'm glad to hear that DH is still planning to go ahead with the surgery. He will be happy to get it over with and get himself on the road to recovery and being strong and pain free again.
Thanks for your nice words. For the most part I am happy with how my body looks, but you know how it is, there is always something that could be better! I guess that is what keeps us going and doing these crazy Cathe workouts. My DH did not do the planks yet, but I definitely need to make him. I did see that one of the women in S&L group did a straight arm plank for 4 minutes 30 seconds!!! Wow! I can't imagine.
Yes all done with meso 2. It was funny because last night I was thinking I needed to check my calendar to see what wo to do this morning, but then I remembered that it is active recovery week so that is up to me! hahahha no wine and frozen yogurt last night :D Tonight I need to feed the kids but maybe tomorrow when I'm on my own.......:p
Your DH was a big sweetie nursing you back to health! I bet the only reason you didn't pretend to be sick longer was because you couldn't stand to not workout another day! Am I right? I'm glad that your illness didn't last too long though. I still can't believe you did CCC the next day. You are one crazy lady!
I'm glad that DH figured out what was going on with Sam and was able to take care of it. That would be pretty scary, poor little guy.

So this morning for my first day of active recovery I did Step works. I really like that one so it was fun. I had to order a new step because all of the rubber is coming up on mine. I tried to glue it last week but it didn't really work. My new step is supposed to arrive today so I can't wait. I will have to figure out how to break it in tomorow. The pre-opening party was nice but the food was pretty weird. They served tater tots with a cheese sauce, tortilla chips with gauc and salsa, pasta salad, turkey sandwiches and grilled veggie wraps. The veggie wraps were the best thing, but my friends and I all said that if that is what is going to be on their menu it isn't a place that we would choose to go for dinner.... I guess we will have to take a look at the menu once they open. I hope everyone is having a great Monday/Tuesday!

Pam

So Saturday after MIC, I went grocery shopping and then did Maximum Intensity Cooking! I made 7 different meals/soups to put in the freezer which added up to 50 individual containers. I already had some from my last cooking fest and I counted up my total prepared meals and I have enough frozen lunches to last me till December!!

This morning I started my active recovery week after finishing STS. I ran 3 miles today on my treadmill. I wanted to do a Stretch Max segment after but I was having a hard time getting going this morning and ran out of time. Maybe when I get home.

Janie You are much better than me about overindulging. I wouldn't be able to put the bread in the freezer without eating 90% of it and by then I would say why not eat the res! :p I am starting another STS rotation on September 19 so for the 5 weeks in between my active recovery and the next round, I will be playing around with Cathe’s weight workouts that I haven’t been able to do because of STS. Plus hopefully, I will have the new series in my grubby little hands for a week or two to play with before starting STS again.

Pam Well I’m glad DH was thinking of you and found someone to take you skiing while he was gone. That was super nice and thoughtful of him. Good job on finishing out Meso 2 and adding on 10-10-10 cardio and all those planks! 4:30 for a straight arm plank! That is crazy! Sounds like you had a busy weekend but had fun so that is great! Great job with Step Works! Active recovery weeks are kind of fun because you get to pick what you want to do but I don’t think I could do that long term. I’m a planner and sometimes like not having to think about what I want to do and just doing what is on the calendar.

Cheryl Great job on bootcamp and yoga! Sorry your week was bad last week. I bet Pam is right and you were just getting back into the work groove so hopefully this week will be much better. I have a pair of cream colored pants that I don’t wear often because I am so nervous about spilling on them. Come to think of it, most of my clothes are dark colored because I am so accident prone. I hope you could get the stain out with the laundry.

Eunice So sorry you weren’t feeling good over the weekend. At least it didn’t last too long and DH was such a sweetie to take care of you. Great job on CCC (Pam's right you are a crazy lady to do that one after being sick ) and as I’m sure you already finished up your walk with Sam and leg workout! Poor Sam with the bone! Oscar is bad about choking on treats. We don’t give him real bones or rawhide anymore because he chokes on them so bad because he tries to scarf it done so fast. We have to stick to softer treats now. I saw the invite to the group. I’ve been reading some of the posts (they come to my phone like an email) but I’ll have to try to find time this week to really look into the group and maybe do some posting of my own.

Have a great day!

Pam Yesterday DH found out that he needed to fax all of his shoulders results to Tri-care they will send them to Dr's who will see what is the problems and approved the surgery, he was glad that he called because he knew something about the Marine Corps having to approve him to have the surgery, now he can't wait.... :DYou are welcome you know that I love your arms when I get my arms like yours I will slow down my workout, Ok, maybe not but I'll be happy:D You are right we are the crazy ones keep going and going for a better us! :p No, I didn't see about that women holding the plank for 4 minutes and 30 seconds whwe! I bet she ended up with pain on her back:eek: Nice to have to choose your workout sometimes its fun but another time it save so much thinking about it. :D To bad that the restaurant was serving not very appetizing food what's wrong with that they supposed to have people wanting to come back again, oh well... I know I hardly get sick so when I do the girls all are coming in and out of my room asking me whats wrong, then latter on I have the bed full of girls showing me whatever they want me to see, DH wanted to take them to Eppin which is like 45 min away so I could have some rest and quiet time but they didn't wanted to. Me too I can't believe that I did it but its being maybe 3 weeks that I had being thinking about that one then I have my 2010 calendar in front of my exercise area and I have May that picture its from CCC and the crazy of me its thinking I have to do that one, every time I see the picture that was planned for Saturday I couldn't so I did it on Sunday and you are not going to believed but I feel so much better:confused: I know I'm crazy. You are right bout me not faking it any longer! Good job doing Step works, how excited to get a new step, I wonder what workout are you going to do!! I was thinking Imax2 :D yay!! NO Ok, I'm just saying ;) I used to have 2 of them my first one that I bought when I first found Cathe and the second one when I went to San Diego RT, before we come to Australia I sent the old one to my sister in Mexico and now sometimes in Saturdays when I'm going to workout Stacy wants to join me and want to have a step  so maybe I'm going need to get one some time.

Julie Wow! You are good Maximum Intensity cooking wow! 50 meals that's great, awesome!! Good job running! are you taking your recovery week to do STS again? or you have a month planned out with fun workouts then go back to STS? I don't remember anyways you are doing great! Ok reading your post I see that you are doing STS until Sep. Good for you! I'm glad that you saw the invite to the group in FB, you can fix the sittings so you don't get that 100's of emails every day, I know it can get overwhelm. I'm so much better now, you are right about the dogs Sam its so big and fast from the 2 huge bones that we got him he only has left small pieces that he's playing around with, but hes doing so much better now, more calm, not chasing the girls in the morning, he still scare out of hes little head of my husband I have to treat him like another child who if is not paying attention I had to call DH and he know because he runs to he's bed and laid down saying, "Me, I'm good! so spoiled oh I always forget to ask you how many times do you feed your dogs? I feed Sam twice per day small servings and I wonder if its right before he got sick I was giving him one big meal but after that he went back to twice a day.

Yesterday I took Sam for a short walk come home and did legs disc 14 and let me tell you that my butt its sooo sore, I did a couple of exercises with heavier just because they were handy and I did handle them so I guess I have to listen to Cathe when she say you know when to go heavy, and do it because if not you just doing a disservice to your body. so I was happy that I did :D I also did core with a kettlebell WO from a dvd that I got long ago and I don't use it that much but I remembered that the core workout was good so I did it and I can feel my belly:D Today I did 30/30 after taking Sam out, right now I'm taking a break while writing and I'll go back to do another short workout or maybe not will see :D Have a great day !;)

Eunice I thought about going to the store to get another pair of pants but I didn't want to make a rush decision either. Sometimes when I do that I end up regretting what I had bought. Glad that you are feeling better now. It was so sweet of DH to look after you and the girls. Scary about Sam and the bone, but I am glad that you could get it out of his teeth.

Pam It was a bad week. I hardly ever wear white pants and I had to spill coffee on me first thing in the morning not late in the afternoon :(. That is pretty weird food that they severed at the pre-opening party. I am with you in that if that is what is on the menu I wouldn't be going there at all.

Julie Wow talk about Maximum Intensity Cooking!!!! That is great that you have all those lunches ready for you. It was a rough week last week for me that is for sure. It looks like that stain came out of the pants. I drink my coffee black so there was no cream or sugar in it and I was told that is what stains the most.

Well it was a better morning for me today, I got up and did MMA Kickbox. It felt good to get it done. This afternoon we picked up Tigger from the vet because he was there to get his lion cut. He looks so cute now and he has no more mats. I now have a better comb so I am hoping that it will help keep the mats away. We took some pictures of him so if any of them turned out I will post them here. He was really popular with the neighbours, they all wanted to see his new do.

Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Cheryl

Joey and I did TBS with abs and stretches. Walked Rolly about 45 min. My toe feels healed.

Everyone looks like they are doing really good on their exercises. Great Job. I'm running a little late tonight. Sorry, I'll have more time for my friends and things I want to do tomorrow.

Found out why Rolly has bad breath. It's the tennis ball we have been playing with. I changed it, brushed his teeth and now no bad breath.

Take care everyone, sorry about the short post.

Janie

Julie Great job on your maximum intensity cooking! How nice to have all of those lunches available to just grab and go! Great job on your treadmill run as well!
I like active recovery weeks because it is fun to do some of the workouts I haven't done in awhile and I like to throw in some of my non-Cathe workouts. I really LOVE having a rotation that tells me exactly what to do the rest of the time though. I didn't do rotations for the longest time and some mornings I would just stand in front of my dvd shelf trying to figure out what to do!:rolleyes: Seems like such a small thing but it makes a big difference and keeps me out of ruts with my workout choices too.

Eunice Oh that makes sense that your DH would ahve to get his surgery approved. I think we need to do that for any surgery other than emergency with our insurance too. So now he has to go to more Drs to make sure?
I don't believe that you will ever slow down your workouts, you are making that up for sure! :p I don't think I'll ever be able to hold a plank for 4 minutes and 30 seconds, yikes. I would have a pain in my back and my arms and my hands for sure.
Yep, I like the free week to choose my workouts once in awhile but love having a planned rotation so much the rest of the time. The rotations sometimes make me do something that I might not have chosen and a lot of times if it's on my calendar I feel like I need to do it. Unless I do something harder, then it's ok to sub
Awww, how sweet that your girls were worried about you when you were sick. :) That must've made you feel good. Oh Imax 2 was a great suggestion for the new step but I slept in so had to do a quick one and just did 30/30. I may add another one in tonight though. I used to have another step too, one of the shorter ones and I didn't like that. I gave it to one of my friends because she was wanting to do some step workouts at home. Sometimes when my SIL is here and wants to workout I wish I had a second step, so now I guess we can pull the ripped up one out of the attic and use it if we want to do step. I had forgotten it was coming and when I was going to bed last night I saw the big box sitting in the front hall :D I had to take it upstairs and get it out and ready for this morning. That would be so cute if Stacy did step with you!
Great job on your walk and disc 14, your kettlebells and 30/30! How do you like the kettlebell? I have been trying to decide if I need to get one. I guess we are on the same wavelength since I did 30/30 this morning too.

Cheryl Oh your story about going out and buying pants reminded me of a business trip I went on one time. I got to my hotel at like 10:00 on a Sunday night and unpacked and realized I forgot to pack pants! I was there for a convention and we had to wear a certain color of pants. I had to go down to the front desk and ask where I could go buy pants at 10:00 on a Sunday and take a taxi to the Walmart (which luckily was open 24 hours!) and get some! I don't think I ever wore those pants again after that trip either. I'm glad to hear that at least your coffee didn't leave a stain. I'm sure you couldn't wait to just get home that day.
I'm so glad to hear that this week has started out better. Great job on MMA Kickbox! Oh you do have to post pictures of Tigger. Butters is just finally starting to look normal again after his lion cut, I can't believe how long it has taken for his hair to grow back. When it first starting coming in it was really blotchy and I was worried he was going to have permanent bare spots, but it seems to have filled in pretty well now.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches with Joey and your nice long walk with Rolly. So glad to hear that your toe is feeling healed. I guess you will be ready for some big cardio soon! Don't worry about not having time, we all have those days.
I'm glad to hear the bad breath problem was resolved! It's funny that it was his tennis ball :D that makes sense though.

Well I'm not sure if my alarm didn't go off this morning or if it did and I just turned it off without being aware, but I didn't get up until 6:15 so there was no way I could do a big workout. I had to do something though, so I did 30/30 and then may do another workout tonight since I'll be home alone. I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday/Wednesday!

Pam

This morning I did Power Max! It was sweaty fun.

Eunice Great job with the legs and core workout and 30/30! Yep the next month I will playing around with a lot of the weight workouts I couldn’t do during STS like Gym Styles and 4DS plus some others. Right now I am being true to my active recovery and just doing cardio—which kills me sometimes! I love that weight training! I feed my dogs twice a day at 5am and 5pm. I think feeding them twice a day is better for their tummy.

Cheryl Great job on MMA Kickbox! I didn’t know that about the coffee—that is that the cream and sugar is what really stains things. I’m glad you got it out. I hope some of the pictures turned out. I bet Tigger is just adorable!

Janie Great job on TBS with Joey plus your walk! Glad your toe is feeling much, much better! I’m glad you found the source of the bad breath. Good thing it was something simple.

Pam Well I guess your body was telling you need to sleep in a little. Great job on doing 30/30 though instead of just skipping altogether. Your pants story is funny! I started laughing out loud here at work and of course, then I’m getting the stares from my coworkers like I’m crazy! I was thinking of your story like one of those bad dreams where you are giving a presentation and realize you are in your underwear. That could’ve been the truth for you!

Have a great day!

Janie Good job on TBS, your stretches and walking Rolly. Glad that your toe is healed now. Glad that all you needed to do is change Rolly's tennis ball and brush his teeth. That is a lot cheaper than having to get them cleaned at the vets.

Pam That is too funny about your pants episode. At least a Walmart was open at that time. It was a long day and I was happy to get home and change. I still need to get the pictures of Tigger loaded onto my computer from the camera. Hopefully I can get that done soon. Butters had his lion cut quite a while ago didn't he. It only take Tigger a couple of months to get all of his hair back but that is good since it will be getting colder out. Nice that you can sleep in until 6:15 and still be able to get your workout done. I am out the door by 6:20 for work. At least you could get a Hiit workout done.

Julie Good job on Power Max, that is a fun one. Tigger is a cutie and it is so much nicer to pet him without all the hair and mats.

Well I tried to workout this morning but I had a terrible sleep so I went back to bed. I did however manage to do Cardio and Weights tonight even though I was tired. Sometimes it is easier pushing myself to workout when I am tired in the evenings rather than the morning.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

Pam I don't think DH has to go to see more Dr. I think he needs to get it approved from the Marine Corps. Good job doing 30/30 to use your new step yeah a short one but a good one I love the music on that one. Stacy follows me in everything I do so I bet she will be doing step when she gets older she even say "I love Cathe" and sometimes when I'm looking in FB Cathe's page she say told Cathe that I love her :D so sweet! The kettlebell dvd I have I don't know but I can't get use to it, kettlebells are good I even ordered the new dvd's from Amy Bento that is kettlebell workout too I hope I like them. I hope you get to do your workout tonight so you don't get bored! I saw that you are looking for protein powder I also saw that some of them recommend Shakeology I did tried before, very expensive and very strong flavor almost bitter, that's why I sticked to Myofusion it has 25 gr of protein and 2 gr of sugar and still taste good.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches with Joey I'm glad to hear that your toe is all good now good for Rolly too.

Julie Good job doing Power Max, good to know that I'm doing good feeding Sam twice a day, he eats really fast DH say that he breed hes food, oh I also give him treats, cookies. Sorry to ask againg but what was the brand of your bike? thanks!

Cheryl I'm glad that this week its getting a lot better for you good for working out even if you were tired some times we have to do what we have to do to get it done.

Today I did disc13 chest/shoulders/triceps I'm having some much fun repeating the workouts, well maybe not fun but it feels good to see the diff between last week and this week, today I felt so much stronger than last week and it went real fast. I also did Bodymax 2 premixes cardio only 43 min. yesterday I didn't went back to do a short WO like I wanted too, I guess if I want to do extra I have to jump right on it because when my body gets cold I wont do anything. well ladies have fun and talk to you later!:D

Today was a walk in the forest with Rolly. 30 min.

Pam, Great job on 30/30. That's why we have them too, for when there is not much time for exercises. I was looking on the internet and found out that most of the dog toys are made from lead and toxins. People tennis balls are good. I think he was playing with a tennis ball for people, but it still had this smell to it whenever he played with it. I threw it out, and kept the others. No more worries. He loves his tennis balls!

Julie, Great job on PM. Love being sweaty. I have only 4 more days and I'll be doing that too. Yea!

Cheryl, Great job on C&W. Love that workout. I know how it is sometimes when you have to push yourself. Good thing it was in the evening this time. I'm glad I found out that Rolly's breath was caused from the tennis ball. Saved me some money!

Eunice, Great job on disc 13, chest/shoulders/triceps. I bet you look stronger too since you are doing better in your workouts. Love it when you see a difference from one week to the next. Also good job on BM 2 premix cardio.

Have a good Wednesday everyone,

Janie

Julie Great job on power max, that is such a fun workout!
Yes I think you are right about my body needing the sleep...even when I got up I was so tired that I had to talk myself into doing anything. I know though that my workout will wake me up when I am feeling really tired. If you liked my story about the pants then you would love the one about the time I went to visit a customer and packed 2 right shoes! That time there was no way to go out and do any shopping though since I discovered it as I was putting my shoes on to walk out the door. You know what it feels like to wear a right shoe on your left foot all day? Ouch!:confused: I think I would've gone to the conference in the jeans I wore on the plane rather than my underwear...probably would've gotten me in less trouble :p

Cheryl I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures of Tigger. Yes Butters haircut was months ago, his hair must grow really slow. So far we are doing pretty good at keeping the mats under control but he still gets them under his chin a lot so I cut those out. I found this rubber brush that both cats actually like, so that helps. We don't have any set time that we need to be in the office, if I get here later than I just need to stay later. I was lucky because my first meeting wasn't until 9:00 so I was still able to get that quick workout in and be here in time for that.
Sorry you had another bad night but glad you were able to get C&W in after work. I am the opposite of you, I can easily talk myself out of working out in the evening.

Eunice Hopefully DH will get his approval for his surgery quickly. Aww, what a sweetie that Stacy is! I have been reading good things about those Amy Bento KB workouts so you will have to report on how you like them when you get them. You just might enable me to get them too! I like Amy's other videos that I have but she can be really hard to follow sometimes. She doesn't do a good job of breaking things down, but it may be different with her KB workouts. I am not going to get Shakeology, I am just doing these protein drinks for 3 days because I got that trainer's 3 day detox diet that one of the women on FB was talking about. I seriously thought I was not going to be able to do days 2-3 after yesterday because the protein shakes were SO bad and you have to drink 3-4 of them a day. I stopped in the Vitamin shoppe on my way home last night and asked them for some that taste good and the guy highly recommended this brand called Oh Yeah. Wow, what a difference. I can actually drink these without almost throwing up afterwards. What a relief. These have 32 or 34 grams of protein and only 3 grams of sugar so not bad.

Great job on disc13, it's pretty awesome that you are seeing the difference from last week. I guess that is a big benefit of repeating the week. Wow, BM2 cardio too, great job!

Janie Nice job on your walk with Rolly. You are such a good dog mom! I never even would've thought to check on what was in the dogs toys. Wow. I was thinking that the smell could've just been because he had used it so much so after getting all slobbery so many times and drying out I would think they might develop a smell?

So last night I did go home and do Rythmic Step. It was fun as always. Then I did my planks and I don't seem to be getting any better at them. In fact they seem to be getting harder  I did 2 minutes straight arm, 1 min rest, 1 min 40 seconds straight arm, 1 minute rest 1 min 45 seconds on elbows. It was really hard! This morning I did Tracy Staehle High Intensity Step mix. That seems to be one I always pick during active recovery. It was really hard though, my legs were killing me this morning and it has a lot of plies and lunge jacks which were killers. Maybe because I just did RS last night? Anyway, have a great Wednesday/Thursday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did a spin DVD called Turn & Burn from spinning.com. It was led by Josh Taylor. He isn't too bad to look at and has that Cathe-like demanor of being encouraging without making you feel like if you can't keep up you shouldn't be doing anything. He is kinda dorky funny though so I find myself laughing at some of his comments.

I have a question about spinning. I have noticed that my feet tend to fall asleep about halfway through the spinning workout. So maybe about 25-30 minutes into spinning, all of a sudden I notice that tingly feeling in my feet. I don’t think my shoes are too tight and I have spin shoes that I wear (no clips). Any thoughts? Maybe it is because my ankles do not flex during spinning like they do in other activities. It doesn’t bother me enough to stop, it is just weird.

Cheryl Great job on getting your workout in with Cardio & Weights! So when the give the lion cut, they don’t shave the body completely bald do they? Or is really just a very close buzz cut?

Eunice Great job on disc 13 and the cardio only premix from BM2! The BM2 cardio only premixes (I think there are 2 different ones) are so good! I’m also jamming along to the music. I have heard that labs are fast eaters. I know Oscar is because we have to tell him to slow down. He doesn’t listen though. I also give my dogs bedtime treats. I figure if I can have dessert at night, so can they! My bike is the Spinner Fit from spinning.com. It’s pretty pricey but I didn’t want to buy something half that price and not have it last long and end up buying another one later.

Janie Oh your walk in the forest sounds wonderful! I’m so excited for you to be able to start sweating it out again in a few more days. What do you have planned to do first? I’m sure you have been giving it a lot of thought!

Pam Great job on RS—so much fun—plus planks last night and on High Intensity Step this morning! Funny how we have some go to workouts for active recovery weeks. Mine seem to be the treadmill and spin bike. Ugh! Wearing a right shoe on your left foot would have been painful. They must have been the same color and style if you didn’t notice it while packing. You are right that wearing jeans instead of nothing would have been less controversial for your conference!

Have a great day!

Eunice This week has been better that last week. It seems that afternoons are working better for me at least during the work week. Good job on disc 13 and the BM2 cardio premix.

Janie Nice to be able to walk in the forest with Rolly. Good thing that you found out what was causing Rolly's bad breath. Getting their teeth cleaned is so expensive.

Pam Ouch you had two right shoes. I bet you could hardly wait for that day to be over. DH still hasn't put the pictures of Tigger on my computer yet. I hope he does it soon. Be careful with cutting the mats out. We did that with Tigger once and cut too close to the skin so we had to take him in for stitches. We felt terrible for quite a while after that one. We found a good comb too that we hope will keep the mats under control. You are lucky that you don't have any set time to start work. That really helps with getting your workout done in the morning. Great job on Rythmic Step, that is a fun one. It sounds like you did really good on your planks to me. Two minutes is a long time to hold it.

Julie Sorry but I have no answers for your question. I have never done spinning but maybe Pam, Eunice or Janie will have an answer for you. No Tigger is shaved completly bald it is just a really close buzz cut. He really seems to be happy about not having all that hair.

Well we went grocery shopping after work today so when I got back home I did HiiT 30/30. I thought a short one would be best since I started my workout later today.

Have a great Thursday everyone.

Cheryl

Janie Sounds like a lovely walk in the forest! I'll love to be able to do something like that but my walks have to be done on the side of the road watching from cars, sometimes I have my ipod very loud and can't hear the cars good thing they wait for me or go around me:confused: I bet you can't wait to get some good old jumps. Sometimes I think so easy to do just jump forward turn jump back ( Hiit pyramid) any kid would be able to do that but when we do a lot of them they can take our breath away!:p

Pam What a funny story about the shoes Pam, how can you mess that? I wonder if they were high hills that would had be a real problem:p Well let me tell you that I tried the kickbox/kettlebel workout today I wasn't all into the routine because I'm new to her, and you are right she doesn't break the workout in parts and some of the moves can get tricky the good thing is that they were not that long so it was kind of easy to get them down and I was dripping she recommends to do the workout barefooted I didn't do so I wonder if that would make the workout easier, the kettlebell routine were some how easy I don't have small kettlebells I have a 25 pounds and DH just bought some second hand but those are very heavy 16k and 20K and 25K so not an option for me so I use dumbbells beside I didn't wanted to go very heavy since I'm doing STS and my upper body was sore. but overall I think that one was fine, I still need to do the other one that is kettlebell only, I will let you know how that one goes..... Really? are you doing the detox diet? how do you like it? the one who is always talking about the trainer women made it sound like it was really good, she say that she saw big weight lost in 3 day, have about you? is it hard to do? Never hear about the "Oh yeah" but I'm glad that you liked it. Good job doing RS & Tracy Staehle High Intensity Step mix,:) what are you talking about not doing any better with those planks, to me it sounds like you are doing great and more because you are doing them every day :D I was doing them every other day just to give my back a breack! I think your legs were killing you from 30/30 that one its a leg killer as well, good for you!

JulieGood job doing your spin dvd, I was looking at your bike looks pretty good, someone recommended me star trac those are high in the $1000.00 when I told DH about me wanting a bike he always told me that they were expensive and of course I told him that I didn't need a expensive but when I saw those bikes whew! good thing he say that he doesn't want me to get a cheap one because he say he knows that I will use it not just leave it there getting dust, so maybe I'll wait until we get back home this time I saved the link to the website, thanks. About your question I don't really know what to tell you it had never happen to me before  I'll ask to DH and see if he knows something. I think the same with the dog treats, sometimes after dinner the girls are getting dessert and he's just looking with those big puppy eyes so I give him a cookie too.:p

Chery Good job on the short workout short one but a very good one! I hope your week goes smoth so you can get in a lot of those short workouts, take care :D

Today I took Sam out he's being very nervous about a dog that is around I think its a girl because he's being doing something really funny just lately he pee every single tree or bush, today we saw that dog and he pulled me with all he's strength OMG I though he was going to clean the grass with me some how the leash got tangle in to one of my fingers and him pulling me I was thinking should I let him go or he's going to break my finger I have to get all of my Cathe power to hold him, gee:mad::confused: bad dog, very bad dog, so from now on I'm going to try to go early because hes crazy nuts since he got the smell of that dog. So after that I did the new dvd KB2 with Amy Bento, it was good but I can't never cheat on Cathe so after that I did MMA:Kickbox it felt really good doing all those kicks and a good core workout too, love it!! Last night I couldn't sleep while DH was taking a shower I was stretching my shoulders and he told me with that voice that got stacked in my head "You should stop you know, you don't want the same as me" I asked him, That's how started? he say I don't remember but I know how it ends! grrrr :mad: so I couldn't sleep:( today I baby my shoulder with massage, and ice it. Its fine but he got in to my head, bad husband too! Well have a good day every one TTYL!!!! :p:D

Julie Great job on your spin dvd. I'm sure it helps having someone nice to look at :p I had problems with my feet during spinning when I wore regular shoes, but once I got spinning shoes they were ok. Are the soles of your spinning shoes really hard? I think it's the pressure on the bottom of your foot that causes it. If it goes away pretty quickly and doesn't bother you while you're doing it then I probably wouldn't worry about it too much....but I am no expert! You are smart to do something different during your active recovery week. I just really love step and probably do it too much! Yes, my shoes were close enough to the same color/style that no one really noticed. During meetings when we were sitting down I would just kick the shoe off my left foot. I was glad for that day to be over though

Cheryl OMG, you cut Tigger so close he needed stitches? I think that would be the end of my mat cutting days. I have nipped Butters a couple of times and felt really bad about it :( The strange thing with him is he doesn't even react when it happens. He must have a high pain threshold.
It is nice having flex time at work. Of course in the afternoons I'm usually wishing I had gotten here earlier so that I can leave earlier
Great job on getting in Hiit 30/30 with such a late start! That is my favorite Hiit.

Eunice The shoes were heels but not terribly high. It was awhile ago but probably only about 1/2" high. Well it sounds like you got a great workout from the kettlebell workout despite not really knowing it yet so that is a good sign. I don't think I would want to do kettlebells barefoot, I would be afraid of dropping it on my foot  I wonder why she recommends that? Wow, 25 pounds is a heavy kettlebell, good job! OK, I'm looking forward to hearing your report on the kettlebell only one.
Yes, I decided to do that detox diet. I'm on day 3 of 3 and am glad! I am not losing the kind of weight that she did on it. I lost 1.4 pounds the first day and 1.2 the second day, so tomorrow we will see the grand tally. I am figuring that as soon as I start eating normal again it will all come back. The first day wasn't bad at all except for the nasty protein shakes. I really didn't get hungry and I was surprised by that. I think that might've been because I felt nauseous most of the day though from those shakes. I had fish for dinner that night though and I scarfed it down and couldn't eaten twice as much. Yesterday I was hungry all day but actually felt full after dinner. Today I feel like I am recovering from the flu! She said not to workout much while doing the diet so I picked Step Blast this morning and I felt really weak and kind've lightheaded. I even had to pause the tape before the last intensity interval, which I never have to do in Step Blast. Then I tried to do the abs from muscle endurance and I couldn't. I was light headed and weak until mid morning, but then I had a protein shake and felt better. It hasn't been terrible hard to do, but I'll be happy to be done with it! I figured this was a good week to try it out since it's active recovery and DH is out of town. I'm supposed to do planks tonight too, so we'll see how that goes. I better eat my dinner first!

You are so funny having to do a Cathe workout after Amy, what a machine doing all of that. That is a funny story about Sam, those dogs do get a little crazy around other dogs sometimes! Uh oh, you take care of that shoulder!!!! Listen to your DH :p

So as I said I struggled through Step Blast this morning. I'm wondering if I'm going to be able to do anything tomorrow morning after the third day of this diet, but maybe I can eat some yogurt first since the diet will be over. I guess it's bad that I'm already thinking about what I will eat tomorrow, huh? I just got in a fight with JetBlue over the tickets from that Bermuda trip that we cancelled last fall because of the hurricane. The credits needed to be used within a year so I was trying to figure out if we needed ot use them by then or just book a flight within a year. Well, I called and they told me that I had to use them within a year of when I bought them, not the date of the flights. Well, that was August 4 ( I originally contacted them on the 8th - 4 days later), so sorry you lose that credit. They said that even though there was a hurricane the flights that we were booked on were not cancelled so we could have still gone so they weren't going to make any exceptions. I was sooooo mad! I sent their customer service department a nasty note about it being pretty lousy since even though the flights went as scheduled we didn't want to spend our precious few vacation days on an island with no power and trying to clean up from a hurricane. Well, they just issued me credits that we now have another year to use. Hooray! That made me very happy! :D Hope you are all having a great Thursday/Friday!

Pam

I actually did post last night, but all of a sudden my cursor didn't work, and that was towards the end of all the messages. Joey seemed to have fixed it, so here it goes again. Joey and I did TBS, abs and stretches. I walked Rolly for about 30 min. I haven't seen the neighbor dogs for about a week. Very quite around here. Found out yesterday, the huge gray one called Boo was sick. Her intestines twisted inside her and she passed away Monday. She was the one that protected me most when I was in the woods and a stranger with a truck came by. Still have Russel who all he does is barks and Rosie my old favorite. RIP Boo.

Pam, Great job on RS and planks. Planks seems to be a lot like push up in that they never get any easier. You did fantastic with them. Also great job on Tracy's HIS mix. I think it was a little harder doing them because of the RS the night before.

Julie, Great job on the spin DVD "Turn & Burn". I'm going to have to check this Josh guy out. LOL I'm going to start off with RS on Sunday. For Monday I'm in the middle of creating a rotation, should have it done this weekend.

Cheryl, Great job on 30/30. Our weather here is soooooo nice lately. How's yours?

Eunice, I can't wait to get started on my full blown workouts. Sun. I plan on doing RS and walking Rolly. I'm in the middle of creating a rotation and will start it on Mon. TBS is not one I used. LOL But it did help me (as always) to get through my broken toe healing stage. You be careful on the roads where you can't hear cars. That scares me for you. I think dear Sam needs to go to obedient class. Hate to see you being pulled around like that from a dog. Bad boy in deed.;) I'm going to have to check out Amy's new DVD. Great job with that and Cathe's MMA: KB. You should really take about 4-6 weeks off from shoulder exercising to let your shoulder heal completely. Sounds like you are not letting it heal. If you do continue doing shoulder exercises that way I'm afraid you will end up with surgery. Swallow the 4-6 weeks like I had to on my toe and heal! It seems like a long time, but I'm better than ever now and you will be too. Be smart. But don't be mad at me OK?

Pam, Great job on this morning's SB. What kind of diet are you on? I think I missed your post on that. I would be mad at the Bermuda flight too and glad you wrote a nasty note. It worked! Any plans when the next trip to Bermuda will be?:D

Take care everyone,

Janie

This morning I did Step Fit! It was fun but for some reason my feet were not working properly in the beginning. I had the hardest time with the warm up of all things. Perhaps I was not fully awake!!

Cheryl Great job on 30/30! I bet Tigger really is happy with less hair. I know when my hair starts to get too long, I get really annoyed with it so I can only imagine how he would feel having too much all over his body.

Eunice Great job on your new KB2 workout plus MMA Kickbox! I kind of feel like I am cheating on Cathe when I do my spin DVDs. I have thought about doing Insanity but then I think I couldn’t stand being Cathe-free for 60 days! Aw! Sam just wants to be friends with the dog! Well maybe…Of course, he could be marking his territory all over the place showing that other dog whose boss! I know my dogs go nuts when they see other dogs. I tend to think it is part of dogs being social creatures and needing to connect with other members of their species. Sometimes it works out and they are friends and sometimes not. I guess kind of like people in some ways.

Pam Well good job on Step Blast even though you were having problems. Isn’t just like us to force ourselves to get that workout in even though we are feeling nauseous or sick. Wow that is great that the customer service at Jet Blue extended your credit date. Sometimes it just takes letting the company know how unhappy you are and they will fix it. Most companies don’t want the bad publicity that today’s techno world can give them. News travels much faster with Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs and stretches with Joey! Plus walking Rolly (you are such a good mommy to him!). Oh no! Poor Boo! I have heard of that happening in dogs and it is quite sudden and most of the time the dog’s don’t make it. I think it tends to happen more in big dogs. What do you mean TBS won’t be in your rotation?

Have a great day!

Eunice Be careful walking on the road with your ipod when you can't hear the cars. It can be dangerous if both you and the driver are not paying attention. Is Sam nutered? If he isn't that is probably why he is going crazy about the female dog. He could be spraying on the trees marking his territory as well. Way to go with doing both Amy Bento and Cathe. I know what you mean about feeling like you are cheating if you do someone else.

Pam Yes he needed stitches, the mat was really tight against him and we cut it too close to his skin.. We felt horrible about it. I haven't done 30/30 much but I really liked it. I think I missed your post about your diet. What one are you doing? I am glad that you got things sorted out with JetBlue. Sometimes you need to really complain to get anywhere.

Jaine That is so annoying when either you lose your post or your computer starts doing funny things and you lose everything. That is terrible about Boo. RIP Boo. Our weather is nice although it has been a bit cloudy and cool. It is suppose to be nice for tomorrow and the weekend but it is suppose to rain for Monday/Tuesday. We will see, that can't seem to predict the weather more that a day in advance it seems .

Julie I know that feeling when you have two left feet. At least it sounds like you got it going after the workout. Tigger is the happiest cat without all that hair.

I have attached a couple of pictures of Tigger with his new haircut.

TGIF everyone.

Cheryl

Pam The kettlebells combos are very short and she recommends to do the kickboxing barefooted, I'll let you know how the other one goes :D I hope you get good results with the detox diet, to funny though that you don't like protein drinks not even getting hungry because of the nauseous, haha!! then you cannot have one of mine,I put in spinach's, kiwi, one scoop of vanillas protein, some times I put flaxseed powder and chia seeds, this is what I have for breakfast or for lunch, almost every day :p I'm so used to that the day I don't have it I feel so bad;).... You were sick? I didn't know that! hope you are all better now:D wow! you must had being real weak this morning if you had to stop your workout, that happen to me last time I was watching stars, bright shiny stars just right at the beginning of 30/30:eek: Good you are almost done with your diet, very weird though!! I hope you feel better today after diner.I'm glad that you got sorted out the problem with the airline, they wanted to keep your money how crazy is that  so do you have to go to the same destination or you can use them to go anywhere? I will take care my shoulder, this problem its been for a very long time, remember when we were in California that I was going to the PT? I just need to do the deep massage and ice it and do the exercises that they gave me.

Janie Sorry about your post from last night, I wish there is a save button or maybe it is but I don't know about it so we don't loose the post;) So sad about the Boo, that sounds just like the movie Maeley & Me when Marley die is because of the intestines twisted inside and he passed away, we cry every time we watch that movie and of course Stacy loves that movie, don't worry about my shoulder I will take care, and if I need I'll skip the shoulder WO for a while thanks :D NO I'm not mad...Also I'm more careful when walking in the side road, good thing that it is on base.

JulieGood job doing Step fit another goodie,I think that one has some funky step and I also missed every time I try to do it.You should do Insanity I have done it before of course you have to prepare to NOT to be with Cathe every morning but it was good I have done it twice once per year. You are right Sam wants to play with that dog, I don't have that much trouble with another dogs when we find them on the street, only with this one that's why I think its a girl dog:p That's why we didn't go out today! beside the cleaning that I had to do..

Cheryl Thanks I will be more careful:eek: NO Sam is not fix and DH doesn't want him to get it done, he say that we are going to get him a girlfriend  I don't know about that, that is so funny that he is marking hes territory like Julie say letting the other dogs know who is the boss :p OMG your cat looks so cute, I didn't think bold cats would look good but your Tigger does and plus hes happy.

Today Friday yayay!!!! Well I got up early 6:30am to clean the kitchen last night I didn't have the time to do it so I got up early to finish that and to do lunches after I took the girls to school I clean the house and did my workout disc 15 back/biceps also I did Powerstrike5 with Ilaria I really liked the kicks this is the second time I do this one some hard punches to learn and I found my self just punching not like her but I tried... So today I wanted to finish early because I like to sit and watch my shows before the girls get back home and I like to sit in a clean living room not with toys and coloring books and stuff so I'm going to get it done right now!!!!!:D:D Have a good day everyone.

Janie Oh that is so annoying to lose a post errrrrrr  Glad to see that Joey got you fixed back up. Great job on your walk with Rolly, but how sad about Boo :( RIP. You are right that planks are just like pushups in not getting any easier. I definitely need to get my DH trying them after all of his big talk. I bet you can hardly wait to start that rotation next week! Yea! Good for you on resiting the temptation to not overdo it until your toe was ready. I know that can be so hard, but you did a great job of finding substitutes that worked. I was on a 3 day detox diet. One of the girls on FB was just raving about it. It was from her trainer and her trainer had a website where she sells the diet so I figured I would give it a try. Let me just say that I won't be raving about it. The girl on FB lost over 7 pounds when she was on it. I lost 1.4 pounds the first day, 1.2 the second and actually was back up .2 pounds this morning. So a grand total loss of 2.4 pounds and I have no doubt that will go right back on now that I am eating normally again. We don't have to use the credits for Bermuda, we can use them for any JetBlue flights (not that I don't want to go to Bermuda), but we already have a NYC trip and a Vegas trip in plan for early next year, so I think that I will use the credit for those since JetBlue flies to both of those locations. Definitely still need to get that Bermuda trip in though.

Julie You know, I have never done Step Fit. I need to go check because I'm pretty sure I bought the download last year because I was hearing such good things about it.....hmmmmmm. I hate it when my feet don't cooperate!
You are so right about companies having to be so careful about publicity now with social media. I am a big Yelper and I was already planning my review of them! I wrote back and thanked them and told them I will be writing a postive review.

Cheryl I posted about my diet above to Janie. Thank goodness I'm done with it. I think if you are feeling lightheaded and weak and constantly starving it can't be the best for you! It was only 3 days though and I stuck it out. Once I had a day into it I felt like I needed to. I hope that you get the nice weekend they are predicting It was 'only' 90 here yesterday and the humdity was really low and it felt almost cool . It's funny what you get used to. Tigger is so cute with his haircut. Butters just looked silly, I think it is because his hair is really long and the contrast between his head and his body was huge. Plus he has a big saggy belly that drags on the floor so he really looked ridiculous.

Eunice I agree with everyone else about you being careful wearing that ipod walking on the road. I never wear mine when I am riding my bike because I need to hear the cars. These days with everyone talking on the cell phone and texting instead of paying attention to their driving you need to be very careful. If you read my post to Janie you'll see I ddin't do so great with that detox diet and I felt terrible. I wasn't sick, I just felt really really tired and weak from that diet. OMG, your protein shake sounds absolutely awful to me! I think I will stick with my yogurt, hard boiled egg or cereal! I did have one of the protein shakes left and had it this morning after my ogurt though. This one was chocolate Oh Yeah and it tasted really good, like chocolate milk. I have seen those bright shiny stars, not something you want to be seeing during your workout!
We can use the credits to go anywhere, so will be using them for the trips that we already have planned. I would love to plan a Bermuda trip but we already have NYC, Vegas and the Outer Banks planned for next year, so not sure if it will be next year or not. NYC and Vegas are only long weekends though, so maybe....... ;)
Oh yes, I remember that pesky shoulder of yours. Mine likes to act up sometimes too, errrrrr Keep up those exercises, deep massage and ice!

Wow, you had quite the busy Friday morning! Great job on disc 15 and powerstrick 5. I think Janie has some of those Ilaria discs too, right? I hope you enjoyed your shows in that nice clean living room!

This morning I was little worried about how my workout would go after yesterday. I picked Mindy's Extreme intervals thinking it was a short one, but it turns out I had it confused with one of her other ones, so this one was 56 minutes long  The good news though was that it wasn't bad at all, I got through it just fine. Last night after dinner I did my planks (2 minute rear, but only 30 seconds on one side and 45 on the other...not sure why the first side was so hard ). I also did the abs from ME last night since I couldn't do them in the morning. The bad news was that I was REALLY hungry all day yesterday, I just couldn't wait for my dinner last night, and then my weight was up .2 pounds this morning. I know it isn't very much but sheeesh, that wasn't very motivating after being so hungry. I couldn't wait for my yogurt this morning :D It tasted sooooo good! DH is coming home tonight yea! He already texted me that he landed in LA. Have a great Friday/Saturday everyone!
