Strength in Numbers

Last night I was sad to finish my last chest & back workout of STS. :( DH on the other hand was happy that I was done and he doesn’t have to spot me again for a few more months. Not that he really minded doing it but now he can go back to lounging around on Monday afternoons. This morning I did Rhythmic Step. Another fun one but also a great calorie burner.

Cheryl Great job on MMA Boxing + the Heavy Bag Bonus! I really like both of those and when you combine them together it is quite the workout. That’s too funny about your password. Whenever I am going to be out for a week, I always write my password down and lock it in my desk drawer because I know I won’t remember it when I get back. Don’t you wish we got paid to stay at home? 66 emails is pretty good for 2 weeks.

Eunice Hope you got 40/20 in and enjoyed it! Hope you had a good trip to Melbourne too.

Janie Great job on TBS, abs, and stretches w/ Joey! That’s a bummer about the fair. I hope your grandson is feeling better. I still have the rest of this week left with STS. Yesterday was just the last day of chest and back. Wed. I will be doing legs, and Fri. is shoulders, biceps, and triceps. Next week will be active recovery and I have some things planned but may play it by ear.

Pam Too funny about forgetting to post what you did yesterday! Great job on 30/30 and W&P abs! Great job on disc 22 and those pushups too! I can’t do the close grip pushups on my toes--sometimes I can eek out 1 or 2 but usually I am on my knees for those and they feel weird to me. Maybe I should sub a close grip bench press for those (like from GS Chest & Triceps)? That’s a cute story about your step son. At least he tried and wasn’t afraid to fail. That’s says something about his character.

Have a great day! I will be here in Central Illinois Inferno! Temps of 96-98 with a Heat Index of 110-115!

Janie Too bad that your grandson was sick. You and Joey should have gone anyway. I see that they replied to your post about copying the Wedding Video. If you haven't seen the reply they said that they don't allow anyone to make copies. So I guess that answers your question. Too bad that you can't do it but I can see their point.

Pam Too funny that you forgot to post what you did yesterday. Good job though on 30/30 and W&P abs. Well 66 emails was all my blackberry downloaded. When I got into work today I had 123. Still not bad but more that I thought. I struggle with the close stance push ups too. I don't know why but I do. That story about your Step son is too funny. At least he had the confidence to go out and do it even if he didn't know how to swim.

Julie Don't worry you will be doing STS again soon. It is a good sign if you are sad that you are almost done STS, that means you really enjoyed the workout. I should have wrote my password down too but I thought I would remember it . I do wish we got paid to stay at home, well in a couple of years it will be that way when I retire. It is just not coming fast enough for me right now. I am really tired of commuting. Yuck you can keep those temperatures that is way too hot for me .

Eunice I hope you had fun in Melbourne.

Well I didn't sleep at all last night because I had to go back to work . Which means I had no energy to workout, I could barely get my butt out of bed when I had to this morning. I am hoping tonight will be better since I am really tired right now.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl

Rolly and I went walking for about 30 min. today. Worked hard today and did a money necklace, earrings and bracelet. I'll finish it up tomorrow with a ring (if the mail person gets here for some wire I ordered). Also did a crochet necklace that used 144 paper beads. (yeah, I know). I need to think of another fun game to get new members. Any ideas?

Pam, Great job on yesterday's 30/30 & W&P abs and today's disc 22 chest, shoulders and triceps. You mean you are already done with Meso 2? Congratulations! Yea! You are not alone trying to do close stance push ups. I asked Joey to go to the fair, but he feels the sun won't do any good to his skin. He's right. I didn't want to go alone so I stayed home.

Julie, Great job on STS chest and back and this morning's RS. Stay cool, those temps are mighty high.

Cheryl, Would have gone, except the sun will bother Joey's face. (Cancer problems) Yeah, SNM finally responded. I wanted so much to give that to all of you. Oh well. Get a good night sleep and try working out tomorrow.

Have a good one,

Janie

JulieCongratulations wow!!! you did it girl so happy for you, so how did you like it? what are the results? Good job doing RS another fun one. The thing about doing the double Hiit is that when your muscles are HOT you don't even feel the pain for a while, but just wait when your done then holly Molly guacamolly then someone its hurting, yes ME!!!:p I'm with you and all that hair I love to pet Sam, but gee all the hair  I don't want to wear long pants because all of the hair and he loves to rubbed all over me and sleep over my foot when I'm siting.

PamMy sister-in-law had two boys very cute, and NOOOOOOOO I don't want to another baby, NOOOOOOOO thanks that's what I told to DH. Pam you should join the challenge group even maybe Julie she is a fighter and so you are . I'm going to have a look in youtube about the slalom ;) Oh legs are still on shock after all that jumping and yesterday's 40/20 my legs were cramping I was hating the running man:eek: And that what I still do when I don't get what people is talking to me.... one day a guy was talking to me for a good while and I was saying "yes" "uhuh" then he asked me how I was doing with the accent  I guess he noticed it :D to funny though that tells you how friendly I'm am not very much! You are too funny you got me thinking though who is my best buddy hmmm DH when hes around and being nice to me and Stacy when DH is not at home so she gets the spot. :p So did you lake got full? Hope so you need that. Nice weekend you had going to the pool and just doing what ever you want!

Cheryl Good job doing MMA:Boxing and the bonus... Good luck at work I'm sure they missed you! Hope you had a better night sleep tonight.

Janie Good job doing TBS & abs and stretches, we went to Melbourne but to see the Dr. for DH. NOT FUN!

PamTo funny that you forgot to post your WO good job on 30/30 abs W&P that was the perfect combo. Yes, yesterday was the Dr. app he gets the surgery in Sep/6 oh but I have to tell you everything else.... WOW!!! you should come to Sydney I'm very far away but still you should come! Good job doing disc 22 yayay!!! your done.. We know Cathe, it looks like she know us too, she say they hate pushups, lets put in some more :p;)

Yesterday I did 40/20 and after that we went to Melbourne to see the Dr.(when the Dr. saw us or saw me he say a Mexican wave) DH got out from the office with the face that it say it all, he was scare and before that he was excited so I asked him if he got the appointment for the surgery, he say NO, I asked him why? He say that there was a few thing that he wanted to think about it, well the Dr. scared him he told him that what he was going to get was shoulder destruction not shoulders construction  the thing is that he's going to have a piece of bone removed from his shoulder and its going to stay like that empty, so that's what scared him he was expecting another answer, he say that he has what is called "weight lifters shoulder" that piece of bone has fluid and its swollen and is what is causing him the pain the rest its going to be fine after the surgery. He got the surgery appointment I told him to scheduled and after he researched if he decide that he didn't wanted to go through then he could canceled, so that's what he did last night he researched and it looks like a lot of sport players get this kind of surgery, so now he's a little bit more confident.. whew!!! so hopefully he get better after that.

Today I did disc 13 chest/shoulde/triceps and thanks goodness for the one min rest, it was a good workout I also did the cardio portion from circuit blast, from a recommendation from the FB girl Amber we supposed to do cardio after doing weights so we can burn more fat also she say that doing short kind of Hiit for 20-30 min the most every day we will get better results. So I want to try that, today was a very busy day doing chores, going groceries, laundry, girls shower, lunches, man, I'm so tired DH told me to get up early just like you all so I can be done early with my WO and have time to do the rest...c:rolleyes: something to think about it because Sam its another extra chore he needs hes workout too.
Well have a good morning/night :p:D

Julie Awww, you shouldn't be sad about finishing STS, you should be proud proud proud :D Great job n your final STS chest and back workout for this round. Also great job on RS. Another one for me to keep in mind for next week. I can't even do the close grip push ups on my knees. The position just feels too awkward for me so even when I'm doing them I'm not really doing them.:confused: Not sure what the deal is with that.
Inferno day here today too. Some of the reports just 104, some say 102, but they all say one oh something! Stay cool!

Cheryl Ha, you should've known that is was a trick when you only had 66 emails! 123 really isn't too bad though - I often get that many in a day.
Oh boy, sorry to hear that you had those bad to work blues but I can totally understand. Sometimes I get so depressed on Sunday night when the weekend has gone by so fast. :( I hope you had a better night last night.

Janie Great job on your walk with Rolly and all of your jewelry making! You sure got a lot done! Wow! I am almost done with meso 2, this is my last 2, so still have a leg and a back and biceps day before I'm done. Well Joey is smart to stay out of the sun as much as possible, poor guy. :( I don't blame you for not going to the fair alone either, that wouldn't be much fun at all.
Don't worry about the dvd, as you know, it's the though that counts and that was really sweet of you to even think about it.

Eunice So what is your goal for the challenge? I think I am probably going to just keep rooting them on because I don't think I'm gonna get rid of my belly  and tha twould be my goal. Oh yes, the running man in 40/20, I always curse Cathe during the first round of that! It's nice to have the 60 second rest before the second leg.
Hahaha...it's funny that the guy you were talking too noticed that you weren't understanding him. I guess sometimes it can be obvious huh? ;):D
I haven't been to the lake yet since it rained, but one of the guys who is in our ski club said that it didn't get any  Hopefully he is wrong and it just took some time for it to fill up from the streams. I think I may be dreaming though. DH and I are going to try and take Friday off and go in the morning since he leaves for Sydney Friday evening.
Great job on 40/20 with you cramping legs!
So what does that mean as far as after your DH has the surgery? Will he get back to where he can lift weights and everything normally? Will he always have some lost movement? It does sound scary :( yikes! All surgery sounds scary to me. The closest I have ever come to surgery was having my wisdom teeth removed and I don't think that counts
Great job on disc 13 and the CB cardio. That is a really good add on, isn't it?
Did you see that picture that someone posted in FB (it might've been amber) with the girl named Jamie and her before and after pictures?! Wow, I couldn't believe that in only 16 weeks. One of the things that she said she did was hiit 6 days a week. I think it would be hard to do that 6 days a week, but those results would definitely be worth it!
I know what you mean about all the chores, they are never ending aren't they?

Yesterday I was hungry hungry! I ate my normal salad for lunch and by 2:00 my stomach was growling. I had a 100 calorie pack of popcorn at 4:00 but that didn't help me much. Then I had a meeting that was supposed to end at 6:00 but didn't end until 6:30 and still had to go to the store and make dinner. I got home at 7:30 and wanted to eat everything in site! I had some peanuts and some cherries and then made myself wait for dinner. I hate that! Anyway, this morning I was supposed to do MMA Boxing but since I don't like that one I did Power Max + abs from 4DS KB. Thanks for the inspiration ladies :D Oh yea, I did the plank challenge last night too. I did a 90 second straight arm plank/60 sec rest/90 sec plank/90 sec rest/90 sec plank. My hands were so numb after that I couldn't feel them and they haven't recovered fully yet...:confused: It that doesn't change I'll have to rethink the plank challenge and maybe do some on my elbows. Have a great Wednesday/Thursday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did my last plyo legs, disc 39! :(:D I have mixed emotions about that. I like the plyo leg workouts but when I was doing the half turn jumps all I could think about was how this was the last time I had to do these (for awhile)! I actually did a lot better on the 1-legged squat thrusts and didn’t quite jump around my room as much!

Cheryl So sorry you had a bad night’s sleep and had to go back to work. Hope you got a better night’s sleep last night. Yes I am very excited about another round of STS. I am going to do the next round a little different. I am going to add an extra full body workout or circuit workout. So my schedule will be STS M, T, and Th; cardio on W & F; full body workout/circuit on Sat. We’ll see how that goes. I may poop out relatively soon. :p

Janie Great job on your walk with Rolly! Saw SNM’s response. Bummer they won’t let you copy but I understand and they were pretty nice about their response (once they finally answered the actual question). Thanks for asking though. You are so sweet for always looking out for the rest of us! :) You have been keeping yourself busy with all the jewelry making. I’m sorry I am not very creative at all. Probably why I work in the insurance industry which doesn’t require creativity. I do hope you come up with something. Maybe one of the others on here can give you good ideas.

Eunice Great job on 40/20 and disc 13 plus the cardio only from circuit blast! Isn’t that cardio on from CB a great add on? Too funny about getting up early. If you start getting up at 3 like me, you would be done with your workout and all your chores/errands by noon and then you could relax before heading to bed at 7! :D I’m glad your DH is getting the surgery. I know he is nervous and I don't blame him but I can’t imagine they would have recommended doing that surgery if it wasn’t ok and wasn’t going to help him. I’m sure he will be happy he did it. I still have one more day of STS (shoulders, bicep, and triceps) on Friday. I loved the program. I feel like I definitely got stronger. I did not get any more muscle definition but I don’t blame STS for that. I blame my hands not knowing when to stop putting food in my mouth! :p I really started watching what I ate during Meso 3 and have noticed subtle changes but if I had been good during Meso 1 & 2 I think my results would have been fantastic. Oh well, better luck next time!

Pam Great job on PM and 4DS KB abs! I hate those days when I could eat my arm off because I am so hungry. You seemed to control yourself pretty well though. Your planks are impressive. I have never really tested how long I could hold a plank. I have gone 60 seconds before but stopped because that was how long I was supposed to hold it! ;) I wonder if you could put dumbbells under your hands like some people do for pushups to take the strain off your wrists? I never found that to be comfortable for pushups but maybe it would work for planks.

Have a great day! We are in a cold front today, only 87 as a high!

Winkle, our black and white Norwegian Forest Cat was having a hard time peeing, so I took him in to the vet. Before we did though, Joe and I thought that if this is a spiral downhill for our diabetic kitty, then we would have him put down. Got there, and it was exactly what Joey and I thought. I made the decision to put him down, only because I didn't want him to suffer any more. He would never have been better and only sick here on out.

I can't seem to stop crying sorry guys.

Pam My goal for the challenge is get toned upper body, my shoulders are very narrow and its hard for me to put muscle in that area, biceps and triceps too, I think my biceps are very weak since I cannot do the the seated concentration curl up with more that 15's and with a little cheat in there helping my arm at the few last reps, loose a little more body fat around the waist would be helpful, I took my measurements the day one and weight and I went to the link Amber provided to check the body fat, you measure your neck, waist, hips, when I told DH about it he told me "just remember that is just a program that its going to give you not the exact numbers so when you see the results don't get all crazy" and that's exactly what it did happen very bad numbers. For how long is your hubby going to be in Sidney? I hope the lake is full so you can have a good ski this coming Friday :D...... DH still looking around and to be honest I hate when he does that because he won't make his mind, now he asked me what do I think about him waiting till we go back to the states to get the surgery? maybe that will give him another solution  for what he had read it looks like all the athletes get back to normal, the Dr. told him that hes shoulder was going to be a little weak but that will be all, and the Dr concern was that he is a Marine and the carry very heavy back packs and all the equipment but other than that he had done it before and everyone its fine. He could work hes way up to get close I don't know if he its going to be able to lift as much heavy as he wants, because he wants to bench press a very big number  the bone its on top of the shoulders I had a picture to show you but like always something happen to the computer and I had to restarted it and I lost the picture. That short cardio its the perfect add to any day workout... I saw the picture of the girl but I didn't read anything about her, I was thinking I've done it before the 6 day Hiit with ShaunT insanity's WO, maybe what I really, really, need to is stop eating bad, but I'm not even eating that bad, so maybe I need to eat more often.:) I hate chores, and today Stacy got sick last night, he got tummy ache, little fever, so she didn't go to school and now I have Stacy calling me for everything and Sam crying because he wants to go out, but I can't today. Wow! Pam how can you wait that long with out eating, I know maybe this is not always but still, you need to eat more :D that's what happened to me when we went to Melbourne before we left DH was positive and excited he was thinking about stopping at the store and get some lunch and do some shopping, after what he did hear, NOT very much so we didn't stop to eat I was ok with that but when we got in the middle of the no where I started to get little bit "witchy" because I was starving and we had the girls with us but he wasn't in a good mood.. we got home and ate dinner at 7:30 when we always get to eat dinner by 6:00 so I was in a bad mood!:confused:
Good job doing Power Max and abs wow! that's a good time for the planks! You can do side planks, angel planks, elbow planks and put a 5 pound plate on your back, that is a really good one I love the side plank because you get to rest one side.;)

Julie Good job doing the last disc of meso3 for legs, and good for not jumping around the room, you know when I'm doing the split leg jumping some time I land a few inches far apart from where I did started so that can happen. Your new rotation for the next STS sound interesting, hard one too, hope fully you can make it.. I don't think I can ever get up that early 3  I would be just walking around with out knowing what to do, weird!! Maybe for summer I will get up at 6 and do my workout before it gets to hot but that'll be all for me. For now!! For DH surgery read for I post to Pam there is a whole story on that I hope he can make his mind.. Were the same is not STS fault its our hands, belly, kitchen's fault

Janie I'm so so sorry about your Cat.. I'm sure that is devastating, at least you knew and it wasn't as bad as it could've be :(:( so sorry..
I can't think of anything for a fun game with your jewelry, let see if some one else has one.

Today I have cardio I haven't choose one yet but it has to be a good one.. also I have abs and stretch this ugly shoulder of mine  I have sore shoulders but one its more sore that the other one so the good kind of sore is mix with the bad kind of sore and I don't know what to feel  my chest is sore too, I wonder if I'm going to be able to finish my rotation if this keeps happening, I guess I can always lower the weight:confused::( but that is something that I don't want. Have a good one everyone.:D

Ok I'm back after 3 hours... I did Imax3 + abs weight & plates + 200 walking lunges, I only burned 500 calories during Imax 3 then I took a little break to feed Stacy some lunch then I went back to finish core + the walking lunges. I told you it had to be a good one today...;)

Julie Congrats on our last plyo leg workout in awhile! I am with you on those half turn jumps. I am ALWAYS counting down on those nasty things :D Great job on improving your 1-legged squat thrusts too!
I think I might be in for another eat my arm off kind of day  I hope not but it is starting to feel that way already. I think I found my plank hold limit last night - I did them for a minute and 45 seconds and my arms were starting to shake by the end of the third one. The first didn't seem terrible but wow, they catch up to you. My probem with my hands is a genetic thing. I have a neuropathy (sp?) that causes numbness when my nerves are pinched. Usually it goes away within a day but sometimes it can last for weeks and even months depending on how badly they were pinched I guess. Last night I tried my second 2 planks with my hands on a pillow and that seemed to help a little, although my hands are still numb so far today. It's harmless but annoying, especially when it happens to one of my feet. I lose the lifting ability and so when I walk my foot slaps and I sound like a horse  Maybe I'll try the dumbbells next time to see if that puts less pressure on them.
Hope you enjoyed your cold front! We are in the hundreds again today but then drop down into the high 90's for the next few.

Janie So So sorry to hear about Winkle :(:(:(:( I cried when I read our post on FB last night. That is such a hard decision to make, but it's better than seeing him suffer. Sending lots of hugs your way!

Eunice I guess I should do my measurements. Actually I should've done them before I started STS, I always forget about that. I wish I could get rid of my belly, that is where my fat goes. I can tell in the morning when I put my hands on my belly if my weight is going to be up! It's been up for the past couple of weeks for no obvious reason and it is driving me crazy. Your DH is right, but it is hard not to let that stuff get into your head isn't it? Maybe I shouldn't do the measurements and body fat check, I may just be more depressed! DH is only going to be in Sydney for a week. Actually not even that long because he leaves here Friday night and gets there Sunday morning, but then comes back on Friday so he will be gone for a week.
I am no medical expert, but it would seem like the sooner your DH has his surgery the better because then he will heal faster. Isn't he in pain and unable to do a lot of things right now? Of course it is easy for me to say because it isn't my shoulder! Sorry that you lost your picture
That is a good point, doing Insanity really is like doing 6 days of Hiit isn't it? Hmmmm...I wasn't able to stand that for 6 weeks straight though. It was too repetitive for me so I would need to mix that up with some other Hiits.
I've been eating well, eating more frequently, eating more protein, but my weight is up a little so I don't know what to do  very annoying. Sorry to hear that Stacy got sik, I hope she is feeling better!
We rarely eat dinner before 8 pm. Usually I am not home from work until 6:30 or 7:00 so I'm not even starting on getting it ready until then. I can do that at dinner time but I get VERY cranky if my breakfast or lunch or late, so I can understand that witchy feeling!
I think I will have to try planks with 5 lbs on my back next time, I like that one. The problem I have with side planks is I can't always hold my balance, especially on the angels!
Great job on Imax 3, W&P and 200 lunges WOW! you are a machine!

Last night I did the plank challenge again: I did 3 sets of 1 min 45 seconds with straight arms and about a minute rest in between. Like I said to Julie, I tried putting my hands on a pillow and I think that helped. This morning for me was disc 23 legs and of course the heavy barbell for deadlifts has my hands hurting too. I should've used my versa grips but you don't have much time between the trisets so I just decided to tough it out without them. Have a great Thursday/Friday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did the cardio only from CTX Kickbox and the I added on Cathe’s Cardio Quick Fix. Nice little pick me up for the morning. DH slept in this morning. Well he tried. I use a gymboss interval timing during the Cardio Quick Fix so I’m sure he enjoyed hearing it beep every minute for 20 minutes.

Janie I’m so sorry about Winkle!:( That is such an adorable name and he was such a handsome kitty. I know you all loved him very much and he will be missed. Our pets touch our lives like nothing else and they will always be with us because of their ability to love us unconditionally. {{{Hugs}}}

Eunice Great job on Imax 3! Plus adding on Abs W&P and 200 walking lunges! That is impressive since I always consider Imax 3 and W&P to be pretty exhausting to my legs. I hope Stacy gets better soon. Poor girl, she has been sick quite a few times the last couple months. I understand your DH’s concerns with his shoulders. And I can see that he feels waiting until he gets back to the states might open up his options or get him better doctors but I would be frustrated if my DH wasn’t making a decision either. My DH is bad about going back and forth on a decision. Drives me nuts! My DH is also like you in that he gets quite cranky if he hasn’t eaten. I do sometimes but more often than not I get nauseous or feel faint when I haven’t eaten.

Pam Great job on more planks and disc 23! I had problems with the left side and pinky finger of my left hand going numb when we did the pushup challenge. It was annoying and kind of worried me that the loss of blood flow would cause me to lose my finger. Crazy thought I know but it had never happened to me before. Maybe it was just a pinched nerve and I didn’t need to worry but it lasted several days. Hope you don’t eat your arm off today! :p

Have a great day!

JulieGood job doing cardio from CTX kickbox I haven't done that one yet I have to added to my workout for next week and also for doing Cathe's cardio quick fix, to funny though that you didn't let your hubby to have a nice sleep in :p For some reason Imax3 didn't kicked my butt as hard as I would've love I think it was because I was missing with the step routine and I kept stopping and rewinding I hate when that happen and I know that one  Stacy its better now today she went to school, yesterday she was bored out of her mind so she say "I'll give it a try tomorrow I'll go to school" so funny little girl. Isn't? gosh! I hate so I won't ask but I can see hes face, sometimes he is waiting for me just to ask "what's wrong" then he explode telling me all this little crazy ideas, hate that! Oh I get shaky if I don't eat on time and start to complain about everything. I wanted to invite you to the group in FB but I'm not sure if you would like that, they are way to fast for me I need a whole day to read everything they post so I just skip some of the post and just go with the ones I really know.

Pam You need to prepare healthy snacks to take to work so you don't eat whatever you see and then regretted  You should take you measurements and do the fat thingy its alright if you go there with the mind set on knowing that they are wrong :p Maybe next time your DH comes to AU you can come over. That's what I say if he gets the surgery he'll be able to work hes shoulder to the point to get back to normal, the Dr told him "workout if it hurts, it hurts and stop if not then workout" I was laughing when he told me that because it sounds like I don't care kind of thing and I was repeating it over and over:D yes I know I'm bad  When I do Insanity for the 60 days I loose weight but I won't keep it that way when I go back to weights and normal stuff I get back to my before  that is frustrating  Don't worry maybe its a way to shock your system and your body doesn't know what's wrong but at the end you will loose weight just keep eating the right foods and more protein :D Stacy is fine today thanks goodness she is something. :p The side planks you should start by doing them for 20sec each side and do them on your elbow put a towel under your elbow you are going to love the results.. A very squeaky machine yes thanks:p:eek: Good job on doing the planks challenge and disc 23 legs.

Cheryl I hope you are doing fine.:D
Janie Are you feeling better?! I hope so.:(

Today I did disc 15 back/biceps those preacher curls are tough, my wrist was pooping I was thinking that I was going to have hard time doing back because when I went out with Sam he got into the dirty water with the green stuff and got it all over his face so when I got back home I gave him a quick bath and I was bending for a while my back was getting tired while doing it, but now he's so clean and even more cute.. He still getting dry in the garage:p I also did step only from Intensity ok that one kick my butt and I thought I was gonna pass out but I did it. Happy Friday/Thursday have a good, sweaty weekend :D:):p

Rolly's breath smells really bad. I'll make an appt. with the vet to see what is wrong. Must be his teeth.:( Thank you so very much for your support, hugs, prayers. They mean a lot to me. When I was really down last night, I read your posts and I felt better. Prepared 3 loaves of bread for baking tomorrow. Should be really good. Haven't done this for awhile, I missed it. I'll take pictures for Eunice. LOL

Eunice, Whatever your hubby decides about surgery, I hope it's for the best. If it were me, I'd have the surgery ASAP and by the time I was back in the states, it would all be behind me. Just my opinion. I think you should go lighter on the weights until your shoulder has time to heal from the exercises you've been doing. Or just don't do shoulder work for about two weeks. I know its not what you want to hear, but... Great job on IMAX3 + abs weight & plate + 200 walking lunges. Wow, 500 calories is a very good burn. You did really well.

Pam, Great job last night on the plank challenge. Where do you find this challenge. I want to look it over. Sounds hard! I want to do it, Aug. 14th. Also on this mornings disc 23 legs plus the heavy barbell deadlifts. Yes, versa grips next time.

Julie, Great job on the cardio only from CTX KB and CQF. How do you like the gymboss interval timer?

Janie Are you feeling better?! I hope so.:(

Eunice, I'm doing better today, thank you. Great job on disc 15 back and biceps. Try versa grips, they really do a great job on lifting weights. YUCK! Dog got green stuff on his face? Froggy stuff? Animals, you got a love em. Also great job on Step from Intensity. It's a hard workout, but a goody.

Have a great evening,

Janie

Julie Great job on carrdio only from CTX Kickbox and Cathe’s Cardio Quick Fix. Uh oh, hope poor DH didn't mind the beeping too much  I bet your finger issue was a pinched nerve. Those push ups and planks really put a lot of stress on the hands and wrists.

Eunice I'm glad to hear that Stacy is feeling better. It's funny that they always want to stay home from school and then when they do they are bored out of their minds!
I do take healthy snacks to work every day. I usually take 2-3 pieces of fruit and a hard boiled egg. Some days though I am so hungry I have eaten all of my snacks by 10 am  That isn't the norm though luckily! DH is now saying maybe we take a vacation in Australia sometime. Who knows! We already have 2 vacations planned for next year though and I would think we would want at least 2 weeks in Australia. O boy, I hope you DH can decide what he's going to do about his shoulder soon because otherwise he will be driving you crazy :p One of my problems with weight loss is that I'm impatient and I should know better because I found that it usually takes awhile for the changes to show on the scale. I expect them to show immediately though  I did my planks with this morning with a 5 pound plate on my back like you suggested. I wouldn't think that only 5 pounds would make much difference but boy were they hard. I could only do 1 min 20 seconds for the 1st one and only 1 minute each for the next 2. I was telling DH about the plank challenge and saying the biggest problem is with my hands and he said that the biggest problem would be getting bored because he could hold them all day. I am going to make him try since he thinks it would be so easy!
Great job on disc 15 and those nasty preacher curls! And step only from intensity, great job! Wow, that is a toughie!

Janie Oh I wouldn't be surprised if it is Rolly's teeth, theymight just need to be cleaned. Glad we could make you feel a little better, I know your heart will be hurting for awhile. Oh I just love the smell of baking bread!
The plank challenge is something that some of the FB cathletes are doing. There is no official challenge rules - just just do whatever kind of planks you want for as long as you can and as many as you can or want to do and record your results every day. Aug 14th, that is the official toe is better date, right?

This morning I did CCC and then my planks. I did straight arm planks with a 5 pound plate on my back and they were really hard. I did 1 min 20 seconds, and then 2 for 1 minute each with 1 minute rests in between. I wasn't sure I was going to make it until the end. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get up for CCC because we went to a Steely Dan concert last night so I didn't get to bed til midnight, but CCC felt great this morning. I did get to sleep until 7:30 though because I'm taking the day off work. It is supposed to be to go skiing with DH before he leaves, but so far he has been working all morning  Anyway, have a great Friday/Saturday everyone!

Pam

This morning I did MMA Kickbox. It went by super fast for some reason. Tonight I will finish off my first round of STS with disc 40, shoulders, biceps, and triceps.

Eunice Great job on disc 15 and the step only from Intensity! That step only is rough! I always get so excited to get to the HiiT section of Intensity because I know the hardest part is behind me. CTX Kickbox is ok. It isn’t really as much kickboxing as it is just hi/lo floor aerobics with some kickboxing thrown in and arm drills at the end. It does have power scissors in them which I hate to love. :p I hate when I mess up a step or kickbox routine I know. I did that this morning, I was just adding kicks and knees in places there wasn’t anything. I guess I needed to up the intensity. I don’t know much about FB. What would I have to do in the group? Is it similar to a check-in here? Maybe I should be invited so I can learn some new things!

Janie I’m glad you are feeling a little better. Hopefully, with each passing, day the pain of losing poor Winkle will lessen. Hmm…I know they say when a dog’s breath stinks it is a sign of something else being wrong. Maggie’s breath used to be horrid. We never got her checked out by the vet but I started sprinkling dry parsley on her food and it is so much more tolerable. If the vet can’t find anything wrong with Rolly, you can try the parsley trick. Dried mint can also work too but I find it is easier to just buy dried parsley by the bulk in the grocery store. Parsley is also supposed to be soothing to the tummy so I figure it is doing double duty for my pups. :)

Pam Great job on CCC and then planks! Wow! Were your abs on fire after that? I hope you get your ski in before your DH leaves for a week. Or maybe you should skip skiing and time your DH on the planks! ;)

Have a great day!

Baked 3 loaves of bread. These are one of the biggest bread I've baked. Did TBS, abs and stretches. joey had surgery today to take out skin cancer on his ear. They got it all. Hurray!

Pam, Great job on this morning's CCC and then planks. Wow, those blanks are awesome! Yes, my deadline for my toe to be healed. Can't wait!

Julie, Great job on MMA KB. That parsley suggestion I'm going to try. Thank you for the suggestion.

Have a good evening everyone,

Janie

Last night I finished STS out with disc 40. I was not able to get all 8 reps on the cross body kickbacks for triceps.:eek::( Guess I know what I need to work on next time.

This morning I did Maximum Intensity Cardio because why not finish STS out with a bang before going to my active recovery week on Monday. ;)

Janie Wow that bread looks amazing! I don't know how you can keep all that bread around. I would be blown up like a big giant beach ball if I made bread like that. I am such a carb hound it is not funny! :p That's great news about Joey's surgery! I realized last night that I forgot to answer your question about the Gymboss. I do like it and it comes in handy with the Cardio Quick Fix but that is really the only time I do it. I guess if you wanted to work intervals into your stair climber or outdoor walks, it would really help you out. It isn't that expensive either.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Rolly and I did some walking in the woods. We walked about 30 min. Tomorrow I'll be visiting one of my brothers (who I understand has Alzheimer) and haven't seen for years . It's a shame to because he really dosen't live that far from me. I feel so guilty. Hey, he could have visited me too, right? Life keeps going, and before you know it, years have passed. Time goes by so quickly these days.

Julie, I eat the bread only for sandwiches, or french toast, or eggs and toast. Not everyday. I cut it in half and freeze the rest of the loaf, because it takes a long time to finish it. We know not to over indulge in something that gooooooooood. It's savored, believe me. I think I'll purchase a Gymboss soon. I looked it up on the internet, and you are right, it's not as expensive as I thought. Great job on MIC and Congratulations for finishing STS. Enjoy your active recovery. I'm so proud of you. After your recovery, what are you thinking about doing next?

Janie

Julie Great job on MMA Kickbox, finishing STS AND ending with a bang with MIC! Awesome!
My abs were definitely on fire after CCC and planks, but it felt great. DH and I didn't end up skiing on Friday, he worked all day  He did arrange for someone to take me skiing on Saturday though because he felt bad so it was good.

Janie Holy cow your bread looks amazing yum yum yum! Great job on TBS, abs and stretches. I'm glad to hear that Joey's surgery went well, I hate that he has to do that so often :( Glad to hear you got a nice walk in the woods with Rolly too. I know what you mean about feeling guilty about not visiting family members more. You are right, he could've visiting you too. It's nice that you are going to see him now.

Eunice Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, but glad you are better now! It's good that your sweetie was there to take care of you.

As I said, we didn't end up skiing Friday. I went to my mom's Friday night and got s text from one of the other guys in the ski club about skiing on Saturday. I guess DH felt bad so made sure I had someone to ski with on Saturday. Yesterday afternoon I did a segway tour in downtown Raleigh. I ended up taking the guy that I skiied with because his wife and kids were out of town and I had an extra ticket since DH was gone. It was really fun, the segway is a little weird to get used to but you catch on quick. My girlfriend hit a curb and fell off though  but luckily she didn't hurt herself. Yesteday morning was my final meso 2 disc :D I am ready to move on to meso 3. All of my weights were right on too, and I definitely used the versa grips for those 85 pound deadlifts. After that I did the cardio only portion of 10-10-10 and then some planks. This time I did a rear plank which I could only hold for 1 min 20 seconds and then side planks for only 40 minutes per side. Guess I should spend more time on those! Today is my rest day and I haven't figured out what I'll do all day. Maybe take the kids to the lake since they haven't gotten to ski in awhile. Tonight I'm going to a pre-opening party at a new restaurant, whew, busy weekend!Have a great Sunday/Monday everyone!

Pam

It was one of those weeks. I was really tired all week and didn't have the energy to workout until Saturday. Even sitting at the computer after I got home from work seemed too hard . Friday I wore white pants to work and wouldn't you know it I spilt coffee all the way down one leg before I even walked in the front door of our building . I tried to get it out but all I could do was lighten it up a bit. Then in the afternoon I started to get a migraine. Yep is was one of those days. But Saturday I did bootcamp and today was yoga. I hope I can get back on track next week. It is really fustrating. Anyway everyone is doing well with your workouts and Pam it sounds like you had fun with the Segway. I will get back up to speed with the posting next week too.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Cheryl

Janie I hope Rolly's better. OMG Your bread hmmmm!! it looks soooo good! I could eat bread all day long too, but to bad for my waist:confused: and belly! Enjoy I wish I can make something like that. I'm sooo glad that you are feeling a lot better :D I'm glad for Mr.Joey!

PamThat would be fun if you come to Australia next year maybe you come to Victoria hey! a lot of wine over this side;) but I bet your already planned vacation are going to be better...So far so good he still going to get the surgery even when some times I think he wants to put that on the side. I know about the weight lost, but you shouldn't feel bad because you already are looking good, all that ski, workouts and now the planks ohh you look good Pam. So did you made your DH do the planks to see for how long he could hold them???? Good job doing CCC & the planks. I'm sure you enjoy having Friday off even when you couldn't go ski.

JulieGood job doing MMA:Kickboxing and congratulations on finishing STS!!! yayay!!! Way to finish the rotation with a bang!:D Now you are in your recovery week, have fun doing all the goodies. Thanks for the info about the CTX kickboxing, I do too love hate the power scissors. I did sent you an invite to the group.... To me, they are way to fast, DH say I think you need to type faster... Hmm Sam haven't get to that point of the smelly breath but I'll have that in mind.. parsley:D

Pam Yay! your done with meso2 and moving on to meso 3, are you taking your recovery week? wow 85 pounds for deadlifts I don't know what I'm supposed to use in week 4 of meso2 but I don't think that much, good for you! I'm glad you got your skiing in Saturday and did the segway thingy! So no more frozen yogurt with wine for dinner tonight? Enjoy the pre-opening party at the new restaurant:D

Cheryl Wow, what a week we always had to have one of those don't we? but yours was, you know crazy with the white pants and the coffee, if I was you I would had run to the nearest store and get me another pants.;) Nice that you had the energy to workout Saturday and Sunday I hope next week you get to feel better and get back to your normal routine.

Friday night I started to feel a little uncomfortable, we were watching a movie and I didn't feel my self before going to bed I started to feel nausea, stomachache, headache, why?????? NO please, so yeah I couldn't sleep that night, Saturday I did stay on bed all day, I had light headed and the nauseas yuck! DH took care of me he was real nice cleaning the house, feeding the girls, and even took me food to bed, I was thinking about just pretending that I was sick longer so he could be on charge, but poor guy he never does so he really doesn't know what to do if he is not prepared to deal with it, but he did good. Also that day I gave Sam a small bone that we got from the a leg lamb the night before, its not the first time so I did give it to him and went to bed, latter Kenny went to tell me that Sam almost got choked, he kept walking next to DH and Kenny just told him go to bed Sam, my poor Sam did it but he was acting weird then is when Kenny noticed something wrong he come to check on him and the bone was staked on the back of his teeth he pulled out, Sam was scared that he even pee him self, but happy to be out of that trouble. :(:D Poor boy! So yesterday Sunday I was a lot better in the afternoon before dinner I did I baked 2 recipes one of my healthy chocolate brownies/protein and another one with coconut flour that its healthy too no sugar only raw honey and egg whites and coconut oil it was good too. I also did my workout I had to copy Pam and did CCC, I thought if I don't feel good I'll stop but I didn't I was good. Today Monday I have legs I'll repeat the same workouts from last week. But first I'll go out with Sam for a short walk then come home workout then clean the floors that its full of Sam's hair its being raining on and off for two days so hes being in the house. Have a great Monday/Sunday.:D:p;)
