Finally some DH took of me working out. No workout for me today. Had enough this weekend. Will resume regular workouts and posting tomorrow. :D

Preparing myself and figuring out my 1 rep max to start STS on Mon. Should take me all week to do that.

Been walking the beach almost every day since I've been here and always turning North to walk, but today I turned South. The erosion devastation is everywhere!

As I walked So. towards Mr. Bennett place(a place where he put blocks upon blocks to protect his property from the erosion) there were so many trees falling down. I even had the opportunity to see one go down all by myself. It was spectacular! No one was around but me. As I kept walking there were house roofs, a house almost at sea level coming down from the erosion. There is a beautiful A frame house just about to fall down as well. Wish I could get the windows, skylights and doors off that place. It would make a beautiful plant house. O well. Then just before I reached Mr. Bennett house there were a strew of these huge, (I mean huge) grave yard of tractor tires. Wish I could have a few of them for the garden too. O well. It's really sad to see all this going. Those poor people, I feel for them.

Cheryl, Missed you! Great job on cleanmax. That is a workout in itself. Also great job for doing AOLIH and for today's Leaner Legs. Good luck on the last week of interviews.

Pam, Great job on Lower Body Blast. Wonder why you felt light headed? Yea, Maybe the cold you picked up.

Julie! Thank you so much for the photos. I'm savoring every photo you took. How fun you must be having!

Pam Great job on Lower Body Blast. Ummm I wonder if you got your cold from DH. Glad that the light headed-ness past and you were able to do your workout.

Julie Great pictures. I would love to go to one some day. Did DH enjoy himself there?

Janie Sad about all the people losing their houses to the erosion. Unfortunately there isn't much that you can do about it.

I didn't get up in time to get a workout in this morning so I was going to do it when I got home. Well a few neighbours were out when I got home so I didn't get inside for a while. I really do need to make an effort to get it done first thing because this will happen more and more as the weather is getting a lot better here. It was interviews all day and I am beat. I can hardly wait until this is all done.

I didn’t end up doing a workout yesterday morning but I did do one last night, Bootcamp everything but the core premix. I am thinking of switching to afternoon workouts. I liked getting my workout done first thing in the morning but did not like having to go to bed so early. It was nice that after my workout I took the dogs for a walk and by the time I got out of the shower I still had 3 hours before I had to go to bed. It was kind of nice having so much time last night with the dogs and DH.

Janie Great job on your 1RM testing. It is like a workout. I only did it once. Not sure I would have it in me to do it again since it took so long. You are good for doing it though. How sad about the erosion. I hope your beach house is far enough away to not have to worry about that.

Cheryl It’s funny that we are switching our workout times. I am trying to go to afternoons and you are going to mornings. I hope we can both do it. It will definitely be tough. I woke up this morning an hour and half early. I guess my body still thinks I need to get up early.

Julie I love all of the pictures from the roadtrip, thanks for posting them. It looks like you really had a great time, maybe I will do it next year! I had seriously thought about going this year, but then when the Australia trip came up right before I knew the timing wouldn't be good. It reall looks like a lot of fun though. I was glad to see that you didn't do a workout on Monday after all of that though!

Janie Oh good for you working on your 1 RM testing! I think I will probably have to redo mine if I decide to do another round of STS. Oh wow, the erosion there sounds terrible. Isn't it just so sad to see? We saw palces like that at the Outer Banks. A whole row of houses that were out in the water. They still had all of the furniture in them and curtains on the window and everything. That would be so terrible to have to see if you owned one of those houses! That would be amazing actually seeing a tree go down too, wow! It definitely was my cold making me feel light headed on Monday. Ugh.

Cheryl Oh yea, I'm thinking it was DH who got me sick :rolleyes: At least he is doing much better now. I hope that the interviews are going well for you. Just a couple more days, hang in there!

Janie Oh yes, the 1 RM testing is a workout in itself. Great job getting it done!

Julie Great job on BC, but why no core???! ;):D Wow, that is great that you had all of that time in the evening, I think I would be tempted to change things up too.

So I spent Monday sneezing, coughing and blowing my nose all day. I took a rest day yesterday because I didn't feel up to working out. I went in to work in the morning and had to leave around 11:00 for a dentist appt. After the dentist, I came home, had lunch and went to sleep! I slept for the whole afternoon. I thought I was feeling up for a workout this morning so decided to give it a try. I had Intensity on the calendar and knew that was going to be too much, so I tried the step only premix. I made it through the regular step portion and the first of the 3 blasts and had to quit. I was just not ready for it yet. Oh well, another day. I'm still coughing a lot, but I feel pretty good so hopefully will be able to do a regular workout tomorrow. Have a great day.

Julie Good job in doing Bootcamp. Funny that you are switching to afternoon workouts and I am trying to get back into mornings. You are right in that you don't have to go to bed so early if you workout in the afternoons. I am not having much luck in trying to switch though. Getting up so early is tough. I am trying to tell myself just stick with the afternoons and just workout in the mornings on the weekends.

Pam Sorry that you are still feeling crappy. Intensity is tough even if you feel well. Good for you in getting the step portion in.

Janie Good luck in getting the 1 rep max testing done. I never did do it when I started STS.

Well I haven't had any luck with getting up early to workout. I think I need to stop this nonsense and just stick with afternoons. So needles to say I haven't been successful in getting a workout in since Sunday. The interviews are going well but it sure is tiring. They will all be over by next Monday so just a few more days to go.

Cheryl Even though I couldn't make it through my workout yesterday i felt pretty good the rest of the day. Still sniffly and coughing, but that will hang out for awhile I imagine. Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting up for workouts. With how early you need to get up it's understandable. You just need to find what works for you. I'm glad to hear the interviews are going well and they will be over soon!

This morning I decided not to be so crazy and tried Step Blast. I made it all the way through with no problems so I was happy. I am feeling that foot again though :confused: Hmmm...I realized that it started bothering me soon after I changed shoes, so I think I may try my old shoes next time and see if it makes a difference. I have worn New Balance shoes forever, but they had a great sale on Nikes when I was shopping so I bought some Nikes last time and am wondering if maybe they don't have the side support I need. It's worth a shot anyway. Have a great day.

So last night when I was coming home, I was about a mile away from home when my temperature gauge went in the red and my dash said something about check coolant a/c turned off to protect engine. When I pulled in the garage, my car was smoking. DH and the neighbor looked at it and something busted causing my coolant to leak everywhere. So this morning DH is having the car towed to the mechanic where hopefully it will not cost me an arm and a leg to fix. While all this was happening last night, I kept thinking, this is why I work out in the morning so in case something like this happens at night. Well, good news is it didn’t interfere with my workout and I was able to do Circuit Blast. Still sticking with evening workouts for now.

Cheryl I’m sorry you are struggling this week. Hopefully these interviews will get done early and you will get some energy back.

Pam So sorry you are sick. Hopefully you are getting better each day. Intensity is hard when you are on top of the world let alone when you are not feeling good. You did an amazing job getting as far as you did. Was that really a surprise that I would skip core! I actually like the core in Bootcamp but wanted something less than an hour as I try to rearrange my schedule. Great job on Step Blast! Oh no on the foot. I bet it is the shoes. I had problems when I went from NB to Rykas. I don’t think the side support and general comfort of NB can be beat.

Continuing with the 1 rep max and with Rolly, walking the beach. Yesterday Rolly and I walked the beach once for an hour and 45 min. then after dinner for 30 min. Love the beach! Will post later today on my activities.

Update: Today was walking on the beach with Rolly and doing yard work.

Julie, Great job on Bootcamp and walking. It is nice getting the workouts done earlier in the day if not for anything else then for experiencing down time and family. Enjoy your evenings. Yes, our house is far away from the erosion and may never reach here, if it does, we would be long gone.

Pam, Hope you are feeling better. :( Sleep is the best for colds. Try not to push your body when it's so sick. Just relax, watch a movie,take the time to rest and heal. Life will be ready for you when you are better.

Cheryl, Take the few days off and when you are ready, really give it your all. When the interviews are over you can more concentrate on the workouts.

Pam, Great job on doing Step Blast. I remember how much I like that one. Oh Oh, feeling the foot again, may need to rest it. Yep, try your old shoes again and see if that is the problem.

Julie, Aren't you lucky that you got home safely! And it happened so close to home! Great job on Circuit Blast. Continue to be safe.

Pam I am glad that you are starting to feel better. Great job on Step Blast. I bet it is the shoes. Try your old shoes tomorrow and see if you still have the same problem with your foot.

Julie I hope your car doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. That is so annoying. That is why morning workouts are better but at least this didn't affect your workout. Good job on Circuit Blast.

So today I did Flex Train. I have only done this one once or twice before and I forgot how tough it is. I got through it though. I am so happy that tomorrow is Friday.

No workout last night. Went and picked up my car. We were lucky in that it was just one piece (some type of plastic elbow connector) that needed to be replaced. Less than $100 for the part. Of course labor was almost 3 times that but it still worked out to be much cheaper than I was expecting. Probably no workout tonight either. I am starting month 7 of Get Glutes tomorrow morning so I want to be rested up for it.

Janie Great job on continuing your 1RM testing and all the walking. Walking is good for the soul especially when surrounded by the beauty of the beach!

Cheryl Great job on Flex Train! I have only done that one once and was going to do it this week but then didn’t. Not sure why. Happy Friday! I hope you have a wonderful and restful weekend!

Julie It is crazy how much labour costs are to get a car fixed. I am happy for you that it was less than what you expected. So how are you finding the evening workouts? More things get in the way don't they.

So I was late getting home tonight. The last person we interviewed today loved to talk so I missed my train. So in addition to getting home late some of our neighbours were over at our place talking to DH so by the time I got in I was starving so no workout tonight.

My 1rep max is done! Will take today and tomorrow as rest days and start STS on Mon. YaHoo! Also am doing yard work and beach walking. Whew!

Julie, Glad all is well with the car. I know, labor is so expensive! Enjoy starting month 7 of Get Glutes tomorrow.

Janie Way to go in getting your 1 rep max done.

This morning I did Total Body Trisets Lower Body. It isn't very long but I was sure feeling it at the end. After that we did some running around got some soil for the garden and a few plants. It was so nice out today so I could get outside and get some yard work done. Tomorrow is going to be nice as well so I will get back out there to get more work done. BBQ'd tonight too, it is so nice that the weather is getting better.

Lots of yard work today and a long walk on the beach with Rolly. I was only suppose to stay here for a few days but it looks like I will stay here until the 16th. I didn't prepare for STS while here! Not sure what to do until I go back to Shelton to get my STS series. Darn! I guess just keep working out until I have STS with me. Nothing I can do about it until then. Just continue with the DVD's I have with me, the ones for April Rotation. It's sooooooo hard! Yikes!

Cheryl, Great job on TB trisets Lower Body. Enjoy your gardening, it's so nice out!

Saturday I did started month 7 of Get Glutes. Then DH and I ran some errands including a new radiator for his Jeep. That took forever. I think around 3 hours! Sunday I did Get Glutes and then DH and I had a nice breakfast before going to his nephew’s 1st birthday party.

Janie Yea on getting 1RM testing done. I am sure you wind something to keep you busy until you get home and can do STS. Yard work and walking on the beach count as exercise so you will at least have that.

Cheryl That stinks that you missed your train. How long did you have to wait for another one? We’ll see how this week goes with afternoon workouts. Great job on TBT LB! That is great that you had wonderful weather over the weekend. Here’s to hoping it keeps staying that way.

Julie So sorry about your car! It was lucky that you were almost home when the temperature went crazy and that you were able to drive the rest of the way home! I know what you mean about things getting in the way of the workouts in the evening, that is why I switched mine to mornings years ago. Great job on getting CB done anyway! I have been getting better each day, but still have a cough and a bit of a runny nose. I'm feeling pretty good though so I'm not stressing about it. I agree that NB can't be beat, I am sticking with them from now on.

Janie Oh wow, you have gotten in some really nice long beach walks! Good for you for getting out and enjoying it! You are right that sleep is the best for colds. That afternoon nap that I had was the best thing I could have done. I felt progressively better after that. I am switching back to my old shoes and ordering a new pair of New Balance shoes today. Hopefully that will do the trick for my foot. It not, I may need to rest it more :(

Julie Oh I'm glad that your car was an easy fix. It is crazy how much labor costs for car repairs, isn't it? I'm so lucky that my DH does almost all of our car repairs. It's amazing that he can fix almost everything.

Cheryl Oh man, that is terrible that you missed your train. Were you just sitting there hoping that she would stop talking?!

Janie Congratulations on getting your 1 RMs done!! That is a big job. Great job on the yard work and beach walks too. I need to get busy with some yard work....ick. That is the only part about spring that I don't like so much!

Julie Great job on GG and errand max. I hate just sitting around waiting for something like that. Last week ended up being car repair week for you guys, huh? Great job on Sunday GGs too.

Sorry I missed posting for a few days. Friday morning was supposed to be Drill Max for me, but my friend was picking me up to drive me to the beach that morning so I wanted to keep my workout to an hour. I did the Drill Max cardio and upper body pre-mix which is almost exactly an hour. It flew by and seemed so much easier without the leg drills, I was surprised. The weekend was a girls weekend at the beach to celebrate my birthday. It ended up being my first birthday celebration because of DH being sick and then me being sick. It was a lot of fun. We had perfect weather - in the 80's the whole time. We went for a 3 mile walk each morning and then Saturday afternoon went out and did some shopping. Other than that was just cooking hanging out and chatting. The perfect weekend! This morning was supposed to be PS Strong legs and Abs, but for some reason I thought I was supposed to do Lean legs, so that's what I ended up doing instead. Oh well, I figure it's close enough! Have a good Monday everyone!
