Strength in Numbers

Janie Have fun doing your art work. Happy birthday for tomorrow. Have a fun day.

Julie Great job on Get Glutes and Afterburn Double Trouble. Wow X10 in its entirety no wonder why you were exhausted afterwards. I would be nervous too going to the road trip but I know you will have fun.

Pam I am glad that you foot is doing better. Fingers crossed that it gets better soon. It always seems longer to come home than going. 20 hours on a plane is a very very long time. Smart idea to take the weekend off from working out. Good for you in doing AOLIH this morning. I bet it was hard getting out of bed with the major time change for you.

So for me I did Lean Legs and Abs Saturday, Slide and Glide on Sunday and today was XTrain Bis and Tris. It was so nice out today. I even got the cats out for some fresh air after I got home from work. They were so excited and they enjoyed the cat nip that they got too. The weekend it just pour rain so it wasn't very nice. However I did get some cupboards cleaned up that were really a mess.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Cheryl I seem to be handling the time difference better this time than I have in the past. I'm not sure why, but I'm not going to complain. Usually after such a big different I wake up wide awake in the middle of the night, but that hasn't been happening. I was sleepy yesterday afternoon, but nothing too crazy. I'm hoping it stays that way! Great job on LLA, S&G, and XT bis and tris!! Oh boy, do your cats go crazy with the cat nip? Butters is pretty indifferent to it, but Shorty goes nuts. How nice that they got to get out and enjoy the nice weather. I'm hoping our nice weather is finally here to stay. There are forecasting 70's-80's for the rest of the week. Great job taking advantage of the lousy weather over the weekend and doing something productive. I felt like I was mostly a big load all weekend!

Janie HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope that you thoroughly enjoy your day!

Last night when I got home from work I did core #2 and I have some nice little DOMS to show for it today. This morning for me was XTrain Bis and Tris burn sets. A nice quick burner! Happy April Fool's day ladies!

This morning I did my own scrambled Tabatacise premix. I did it in the order of 1, 4, 5, 2, 3. I know it is not a fair comparison but X10 is way harder than Tabatacise. Of course, I realize X10 in its entirety is almost twice as long as Tabatacise but still.

Pam That was a good idea to rest over the weekend especially with the big time change adjustment. I bet it was really hard to get out of bed. Great job on AOLIH! That is a good one to ease back into working out. Great job on doing core #2 when you got home and XT Bis & Tris.

Cheryl Great job on LLA, S&G and XT Bis & Tris! Our weather is starting to come along too. We had two 60 degree days in a row! It has been super windy though. Now we are back to 40s and 50s for a few days. Awesome job on getting your cupboards cleaned out. Makes you feel so good! How cute that you took your cats out to enjoy the nice weather.

Janie HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Enjoy your second hand shopping and special birthday dinner!

Have a great day!

Had a fantastic birthday. Went to Main restaurant and ate lots of Asian foods, ice cream, pudding... Yummmmmy. Then shopped and went home. It was lots of fun. Tomorrow is the start again of my workouts for a long long time. I can't wait!

Reminding everyone to get a mammogram. Mine is tomorrow and a Pap smear on the 8th. Just do it.

Julie, Great job on doing your last workout for the month 6 of Get Glutes. Also for San. Afterburn Double Trouble premix and running errands and housework. Whew! And for Sun. X10 in it's entirety. Breaks are OK, you always want to struggle a little. Hop you enjoyed the rest of the day on Sun.

Pam, The Art Assoc. will be later in late Spring or very Early Summer. I'll let you know. Traveling must have it's ups and downs. Glad you are home safe now. How fun to see comedy shows. I've seen a couple and they are fun! I think starting back into exercise after the weekend is a good idea. Gives your body to re-acclimate. Great job on AOLIH. I'm doing the April rotation starting tomorrow. I can't wait!

Cheryl
, Great job on Lean Legs and Abs Sat. Slide and Glide on Sun. and for today's Xtrain bis and tris. I can just see the cats having fun in the sun. Great job on your cleanmax too with cupboards. Hmmmm, I need to do that too.

Pam, Great job on core 2 and congrats on those DOM's. Also for doing XTrain bis and tris burn sets.

Julie, Great job on your own scrambled Tabatacise prem. OOOOO, like how you mixed the order of them.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Pam So nice that you didn't have a problem adjusting to the time change. The cats love their cat nip. They like to roll around in it too. Tango the youngest goes the craziest out of the three of them. Our weather isn't as warm as yours is but it is in the 60s. Great job on core #2 and XTrain Bis and Tris burn sets.

Julie Great job on Tabatacise. X10 is a hard workout especially if you do the whole thing. I am glad that you are starting to get some good weather. After all the cold and snow you guys deserve it.

Janie I am so glad that you enjoyed your birthday. I love Asian food too. I get a mammogram every year. I don't think I need to go again until the Fall.

Today I did a BOSU cardio workout. Another nice day here but it will be clouding over and rain will be here for the weekend. Oh well I will enjoy the nice weather while we have it.

Cheryl

This morning I did CrossFire. I have been ramping up my workouts to be more cardio/metabolic/hiit the last week in preparation for the road trip. And then this morning I was thinking that I haven’t really done any core work (um … not surprising since I hate core work). But I assume Cathe is going to have core work at the road trip. I may have a whole world of core DOMS this weekend waiting for me.

Janie So glad you had a wonderful birthday. No it’s time to Work Work! Just kidding! I think I like doing Tabatacise that way too. I got the hardest rounds (to me) done early so I felt less dread.

Cheryl Great job on your BOSU workout. Do enjoy the weather while you have it. Seems like it doesn’t come often enough.

Have a great day!

Janie I'm so glad to hear that you had such a nice birthday!! I am up to date on my mammograms and paps, but thanks for the reminder and your concern! Those things are no fun, but they are important! You are right that traveling has it's ups and downs. It's nice to get to see parts of the world that you otherwise might not have the opportunity for. It's not always with a person or persons that you would choose to be there with, but that's the way it goes! Of course sometimes it's by yourself too, and that can be a bummer sometimes. I can't complain though, I have gotten to see and do some really cool things thanks to my job. I haven't seen the April rotation yet, I'll have to go check it out. I still have another week left of the February rotation that I had started before my trip though. I just picked up where I left off with it.

Cheryl How fun to see the cats rolling around in the cat nip. Ours always look a little bit dazed afterwards too. Great job on your BOSU workout! That is a bummer that you are getting all of your nice weather during the week! Good for you for enjoying it while you can though!

Julie Great job on CF! Oh yes, I am quite sure that Cathe will be doing some core work on the road trip! I have those major core DOMS now just from doing Core #2 on Monday. I was planning to do Core #1 today, but it's still so sore I think I will probably wait. Hmmm..... I have tabatacise on the calendar tomorrow, I might have to try the Julie pre-mix!

This morning for me was Legs and Glutes from the Body Blast series. I am pretty sure I have never done that one before, I have no idea how that happened! She sure doesn't give you any rest time in it, you just keep moving moving moving. I was surprised at how out of breath I was a couple of times. I had to rewind once too because I couldn't get everything ready by the time she had started up again. Happy Hump day!

Pam

Julie Great job on Crossfire. I bet your abs will be fried by the end of the weekend. She has some killer ab routines.

Pam Good work on Legs and Glutes. That is one of my favorite leg workouts. I'm surprised that you have never done this one before since that one has been around for a long time.

It was a rest day for me. We have a student program at work where we hire them during the summer. So for the past two days I have been helping interview them. We still have interviews scheduled until next Friday. It is tiring doing these interviews since I am out of my normal work routine and then trying to catch up on my other work when I can. I am going to be so happy when the weekend finally gets here.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl

Cheryl I couldn't believe I had never done Legs and Glutes either. I don't have the DVD, just the download so I guess that is why. I saw it on the calendar the night before and burned a DVD this time so next time it comes up in a rotation it will be there. I really liked it too. The exercises were tough and got the job done without feeling like you were doing them forever. Oh boy, I just hate doing interviews, they really do wear you out. I hope you get some good students though.

This morning for me was Tabatacise. I really didn't want to get up this morning! My DH was out of town and got home around 10:30, so by the time we went to bed it was after 11:00, and then he was tossing and turning so much that I couldn't get to sleep. It was after 12:30 by the time I got to sleep so I was not excited when my alarm went off and even less excited about the idea of doing Tabatacise. I did drag myself out of bed and go do it though. I told myself I'd do 3 rounds and then see how it went, but after that I just kept slogging through til I got through the whole thing. It really kicked my butt though! I didn't do JT, I did it straight up. Now I could use a nap :D. Happy Thursday, only one more day til the roadtrip Julie!!!!

Pam

This morning I decided to a short heavy lifting workout since I haven’t lifted weights since last Friday. I just did some hip thrusts, bench press, squats, sumo deadlifts, and overhead presses. I also did negative pullups for the first time ever and they are hard. We had pretty loud thunderstorms this morning. My poor Maggie hates thunder and always looks for a place to hide. She found a place while I was working out; the closet in my workout room where I keep my weights (see attached picture, black dogs are so hard to photo).

Pam HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Great job on Legs & Glutes! I really like that one but yes she doesn’t give you much rest time. Great job on Tabatacise! Maybe you can sneak off somewhere and get that nap in since it is birthday afterall!

Cheryl Ugh! I know how you feel about the interviews. At the end of February, we interviewed 11 people within 1 week. It was so exhausting. I hope the weekend comes fast for you!

I probably won’t get to post until Monday. We’ll see what kind of time I have in between classes and how good the internet connection at the hotel is. I will definitely try to give my best recap of the road trip and share any pictures. Ooooh! That reminds me I need to add my camera to my packing list! Have a great weekend!

Yesterday was Learner Legs. OUCH! I forgot how that makes me have DOM's. Failing the toilet seat this morning. X10 is on tonight's schedule and will report back later.

Pam, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
May you have a WONDERFUL day and rest of the year.

Great job on Legs and Glutes. This one truly is a challenge to do.

Pam, Great job on Tabatacise. And for getting up out of bed when you didn't want to. Sleepless nights happen sometimes. I'm so proud of you.

Cheryl, Great job on BOSU cardio. I LOVE the BOSU. It will rain any second here, not really liking that idea today. Wanted to go outside today.

Julie, Great job on CrossFire. I have that one next week on Cathe's April Rotation. I can't wait for you to tell us all about the road trip. Every detail please. Enjoy your core work and core DOM's. Yep, it truly is time to work, I've been slacking and now I'm ready for the long hall. Not kidding. LOL I would love one day to go on a Cathe RT.

Cheryl, Do enjoy your rest day. Sounds interesting interviewing students for Summer work. The weekend is just around the corner. Hang in there.

Julie, Great job on your short heavy lifting workout. I sometimes like to do workouts without a DVD too, but in my minds eye hoping I don't forget anything. Looks like you covered everything you needed. Good job! I feel for our fur babies when there is a thunderstorm.

Take care everyone,

Janie

April Rotation says for today is X10 in its entirety. Well I know I wouldn't make it so I did #38 premix. 38 min. Whew!

Janie

Hi ladies! Just a quick checkin with you while we are on break before dinner. Friday night our first class was mostly kickboxing cardio with upper body conditioning at the end. After dinner, we had a yoga/stretch class and Q&A afterwards. Cathe mentioned she is thinking about her next series which might be a shorter version of STS but she isn't fully committed to that idea yet to officially announce it.

Today our first class was all cardio mix of high and low. The second class was like cardio leg blast but without as much high impact since the floor there was concrete with thin carpet over it. We just finished our last class for today and it was all upper body with only 10 minutes of core at the end (YEA!)

I did get to meet Cathe a few times. I got my picture with her once by myself and once with DH. I also got her autograph on one of the pictures from last year's calendar. She is as nice in person as everyone says. So weird how down to earth she is.

I will post pictures and post more later (Monday maybe?).

Janie Great job on Leaner (Meaner) Legs, X38-awesome job for doing what you can, and Butts & Guts + SB Abs!

Did STS Cardio Core Circuit premix 2, was about 34 min.

Julie, OOOOOOO thank you for the Road Trip report! How exciting! Great job on Kickboxing cardio with upper body conditioning. Then Yoga/Stretch. I love that you share Cathe's thoughts on her not fully committed idea of a shorter version of STS. For me I'm hoping for something entirely different. We'll see. Just grateful she is thinking about another series.

And for today's cardio mix high and low then cardio leg blast and upper body with core at the end.

So cool meeting Cathe and having wonderful pictures taken and an autograph. Wow! Looking forward to you posting photos later. Enjoy yourself!!!!!!!!!!

Take care,

Janie

Julie Great job on your heavy lifting on Thursday! Oh man, negative pull-ups, I'm not sure I can even do one! Aw poor Maggie, hiding from the thunder! I've always been surprised that our cats are totally unaffected by thunder. I love your weight closet though!! That is awesome! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I didn't get to sneak off for that nap, but I made it through the day. :)

Janie Great job on LL! Gotta love the leg DOMS and failing the toilet test! Thanks for the birthday wishes. It wasn't the best birthday, more details to come.... :) Great job on x10 x38 and Butts and Guts and stability ball abs! Were you legs recovered enough from LL to get through that one?!

Julie Thanks so much for the report from the road trio, it sounds like a great time! I have heard that Cathe is just as nice in person as she seems, that is so cool. I didn't know your DH was going to be there, I think that would make it more fun, as long as he has plenty to do to keep himself busy while you are doing classes. Hahahaha so funny that she isn't killing the abs. I guess you got lucky there! I can't wait to see the pictures! I have been looking at the pictures that Cathe has posted on FB trying to see if I could spot you, but I haven't been able to yet.

Janie Great job on CCC, which rounds are included in that premix? It sounds like it is a more reasonable version of CCC!

Sorry I have missed a few days of posting. My DH came down with the flu or something on Thursday afternoon so we left work early to get him home (we had carpooled that day) We were supposed to go out for dinner for my birthday Friday night, but I cancelled the reservations because he was still sick. Saturday morning I took him to the urgent care because he was feeling worse. He got some prescriptions and his fever seems to be lower this morning, up he still isn't feeling well. So we ended up canceling on dinner at my moms last night and at my friends tonight too. There will be lots of time for celebrating when he is feeling better though. Hopefully it will be soon because he doesn't do sick very well ;) We also realized that the last time he was sick was my birthday last year - he had pneumonia then. I told him he doesn't had to go to such extremes next year to avoid celebrating my birthday , he can just tell me ;) Anyway, I did core 1 when I got home on Thursday and SJP on Friday morning. I skipped the abs since I had just done code then night before, I took yesterday as a rest day and this morning was MMA boxing and weights and plates abs. I think my heart rate was higher for abs than for cardio...whew! Yesterday I planted some flowers and cut the grass for the first time this season so now I'm a believer in spring! Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Pam

Rolly and I walked a good hour today. And did the shortest premix cardio onlly. OMG! I barely made it through this one. I'm at the beach house for a week and then back to Shelton. The Art Association has an opening for Managing the Gallery this year. I'm seriously thinking about it. It's only on weekends and my pay would be 25% of all the monies that come in from the artists selling their work. Only thinking about it, I have until the 14th to make up my mind. Probably wouldn't get it anyways.

Pam, Oh no! The flue is so miserable. Hoping he feels better soon. You are too funny about him getting sick on your birthday. I'm sure he will make up for it. What man does sick very well anyways? LOL:D

Great job on core 1 Thurs. and SJP on Friday. And for your rest day. Also great job on MMA Boxing and weights and plates abs. Ah enjoy the yard work. It's so nice to do that.

OMG! My body is so weak from this rotation. I'm thinking about starting STS and maybe moving on to the Body Building rotation Cathe created for me. If I do, will start it next Monday. Will have to prepare for it. I'm looking forward to this.

Take care,

Janie

Pam Good work on tabatacise and getting up when you didn't get much sleep.

Julie Good job on your short heavy lifting workout. Poor Maggie at least she found somewhere safe even if it is where you keep your weights. We are lucky that thunder doesn't bother our cats at all. I hope you enjoyed the road trip and I hope you took lots of pictures.

Janie Great job on Leaner (Meaner) Legs. Great job on the 38 minutes of X10. That is great, it is one tough workout and Butts and Guts.

Julie Sounds like you are having fun there. So cool that you got to meet Cathe. You will have to post pictures.

Janie Great job on CCC premix 2.

Pam Your DH sure does go to extremes to miss your birthday doesn't he :D. At least you can get him to take you out later and I do hope that he is feeling better. Great job on core 1 SJP MMA boxing and weights and plates abs. Nice that you could plant some flowers and cut the grass.....Spring must be here.

Janie Way to go on your walk and your shortest premix cardio only. Don't sell yourself short on the job. Positive thoughts your way that you WILL get the job.

Wow I haven't had a chance to get on the computer for several days. Thursday we got groceries and Friday night I got all the housework done as we were having my parents and brother over for dinner on Saturday. Saturday I did AOLIH and today was Leaner Legs. Those sit and stands really got me good. I can't believe that the weekend is over already. I have another week of interviews coming up. I will be so glad when they are over.

Happy Monday everyone.

Cheryl

Janie Great job on your long walk with Rolly. What did you do the cardio premix from?If you are interested in the job then you should definitely go for it. You never know unless you try, and you have just as good a chance as the next person!!! Think positive! Thanks for the well wishes for my DH. You're right, I have never met a man who does sick well! ;):D it sounds like your rotation is definitely doing the trick for you. Let us know what you decide to do as far as a rotation goes. I've been wondering if I should start another STS rotation too........

Cheryl Thanks for the well wishes for my DH. I know it is driving him crazy being sick! Great job on AOLIH and LL. Oh yes, those sit and stands are killers!!!! Good luck with the interviews this week. I know you will be happy to have them finished!

This morning for me was Lower Body Blast. I haven't done that one in awhile and forgot how much I enjoyed it. I almost quit because I got really light headed during the warm up, but I sat down for a few minutes and then decided to give it another go. I was glad I did because I felt fine after that. I do seem to have picked up a bit of a cold though, so I think that was the reason for the light headed-ness at first. I hope everyone has a good Monday, I can't wait to see your pics Julie!!
Pam

Here are some pics of me and Cathe (one also has DH in it). Also one of Cathe signing tiny pink dumbbells and one of me posing for DH
