Strength in Numbers

Oops on me not posting over the weekend. No excuses, just didn’t do it. I did do my hip thrust challenge on Saturday: 3 sets of 1-leg hip thrusts with 5 second hold at top. Then it was cleaning at my mom’s and errands. Sunday was 3 sets of 8 heavy barbell hip thrusts and then Total Body Trisets Total Body premix. This morning was 3 sets of the hip thrust march and then Cardio & Weights. I will now go through the rest of my day singing Buttercup.

Pam Oh boy that doesn’t sound like a happy way to start your workout. At least you could finally work out that stress with some good ole fashion weight lifting and then a nice relaxing massage. Sounds like a good day in the end to me. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Check in when/if you can.

Janie Great job on GS C&T and cleanmax! Then Cardio Leg Blast and blasting those legs good! How fun to find a new trail to explore! You are much braver than me. I would be so afraid of getting lost. Love how you made it through all of that in between rain pours. You and Rolly were certainly very lucky with that.

Cheryl I am sorry things are so crazy at work and draining you. You are doing great with keeping up with your workouts when you have the energy. I remember that about Jamie Eason’s program, the no cardio thing and that was something else that bothered me a little. 1-2 days would be fine but none at all for 4 weeks is just scary to me. I lose my cardio endurance so much faster than my strength I would hate to have to start over on cardio again.

Janie It was really stormy here today too. I think we are both getting that same system that just seems to sit over top of us. So cool that you found a secret trail. Intensity certainly wasn't easy. I could tell that I lost some of my cardio.

Julie Not posting over the weekend isn't bad, me.....it was about two weeks :eek:. Good job on your hip thrust challenges, Total body Trisets Total Body premix and Cardio and Weights. I first thought with Jamie's program that I could not do cardio for 4 weeks but I missed it after the first week. That is why I decided not to continue with it incorporate cardio again.

Today I did XTrain Bis and Tris. Did you see that the new videos will be shipping September 27th or 30th. That means I should get mine mid to late October hopefully with no duty to pay :rolleyes:

Rolly and I had to show my Joey the secret trail we found. He was as enthused as I was. He said this is a great find and will be enjoying this trail a lot. We are excited to find out where all the other side paths go to. We'll do that another time. Today was also 10.10.10 which (besides 30/30) is one workout I dearly love.

Julie, Great job on your hip thrust challenge on Sat. Also all the cleaning and errands. For Sunday's 3 set of 8 heavy barbell hip thrusts and then Total Body Trisets Total Body premix and Cardio and Weights. I can hear Buttercup now since you said it. LOL

Cheryl, It's OK loosing some of our gains, as long as we get right back to it and never give up. Always, no matter what. You are doing good. Great job on XTrain Bis and Tris. WhooHoo, I can't wait for the new DVD's!!!!!! They are just what I wanted. I hope you don't have to pay duty too.

Janie Exciting to find a new trail. It will be interesting to see where it takes you. Good job on 10 10 10 that is one I haven't done in a long time.

I couldn't get up this morning to workout. I was up about 4 times during the night breaking up cat fights :mad:. I was then going to do it when I got home but had a headache. It was a very busy day at work and I didn't really take much of a break so that didn't help.

Tonight was XTXpress Leaner Legs. OMG! I need these legs exercises so badly.

Crazy work getting in the way of me posting again! ARGH!!! Sometimes I wish I could quit but then I would have no place to live since I couldn't pay my bills. Anyway, I did get my hip thrust challenge in yesterday and I did STS Total Body Compound (No Core) premix. This morning was more hip thrusting plus Athletic Training.

Cheryl Great job on XT Bis/Tris! I am so excited about the workouts getting close to being here. I still can’t believe it takes so long to get to you. I mean it is not going overseas or anything. Hopefully you don’t have any duty to pay. I think you need to have a talk with your cats about how when you are sleeping they need to sleep or play nice.

Janie Great job on 10*10*10! I think it is wonderful that you and Joey have places you can go like the trail and enjoy each other’s’ company. I bet it is beautiful in your area and that helps get you out and exploring more. Great job on Leaner Legs! That is one of my favorite Cathe legs because of all the deadlifts. I call it deadlift heaven.

Rolly and I speed walked/walked on the beach for 45 min. Weather held out beautifully.

Julie, Great job on hip thrust challengd in yesterday and STS Total Body Compound, no core, prem. And for this mornings more hip thrust challenges and Athletic Training. You are doing great.

Janie Good job on Leaner (Meaner) Legs and your walk with Rolly today. It was gorgeous out today and tomorrow is suppose to be the same.

Julie Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of doing what you want :D. It happens to me all the time. Good job on your hip thrust challenge STS Total Body Compound and Athletic Training. I do try to talk to them but they just tilt their head to one side and look at me as if I have three heads :rolleyes:.

So today I took as my day off and I will get back to it tomorrow. This afternoon when I was walking to my transit they had a street blocked off for a movie shoot. At least I could walk past it but it was closed to cars. It looked to be a Si-Fi movie as the police cars and fire truck looked futuristic and a licence plate that I saw was a bar code instead. There was lots of guys dressed like SWAT police too. I will have to see if I can find out what they were filming.

This morning I think the only reason I got up is because of the hip thrust challenge. Today was 3 sets of 20 glute bridges. The first set was tough but then it got a little easier. After that I did Cardio Supersets including the Step Bonus portion.

Janie Great job on your beach. Glad your weather is behaving nicely. We are getting an extended summer right now as it is going to be in the 80s today and the next few days.

Cheryl That must be neat to live in a place where they do so much filming. Or maybe it gets annoying too. Pets can be so funny and cute when they tilt their head like that. Makes it hard to stay made at them.

Julie Good job in getting up and doing your hip thrust challenge and cardio supersets plus the step bonus portion. You normally don't see too much when they are shooting mainly a lot of people just standing around. Yes it is hard to stay mad at them no matter how hard you try.

So today was my big event that I have been planning for several months now. So last night I couldn't sleep, I kept on thinking about things and if I had missed anything. Then today I was on the go from the time I got to work at 7:30am to 4pm half an hour past my normal quitting time. I didn't get a break at all today and now I am just beat. I had planned on taking tomorrow off as vacation but other things have come up so I need to go in. I wanted to get my workout in when I got home from work but I was just too tired.At least my big stress is finished and I can just get back to the regular every day work stress :rolleyes:

Today was a fast walk on the beach for 30 min. to warm up for CTXKickbox. It's called a sweat fest. LOL

This morning I woke up about an hour and half before my alarm went off and could not get back to sleep until about a half hour before it went off. That is the worst because then you wake up in deep sleep and it is so hard to get out of bed. But I did it, mainly because it is Friday. I did my hip thrusts of 3 sets of single leg ht with a 5 second hold at top and then did Cardio Leg Blast.

Cheryl I am glad your work project is done and you can go back to normal work stress now. That amount of stress is enough by itself.

Janie Great job on your walk and CTX Kickbox! Love those sweat fests!

All I've got to say is, CTXSand Intervals was hard and sometimes I got confused with the step cues, but did it. You know of course, with modification.

Janie Good work on CTX Intervals. This past week really took a lot out of me but because I was so stressed I wasn't eating as healthy as I should have been. I do like my carbs when I am stressed.

So I was hoping to do a workout this morning but I was still really tired so I just did some yoga. That was about all I had the energy for. After that I did manage to get some housework done and then my parents came over for a visit. Boy it sure was raining outside and it is suppose to be worse tomorrow. A good storm is coming.

Hi ladies,

I hope you are all doing well. Cheryl, sorry you are having such a stressful time, hang in there, things will get better! My week in Stockholm has been good. It went by so fast! The class was the best that I have had so far, very friendly people. This city is absolutely beautiful so it was nice to have the weekend to do some sight seeing. It's really cold though, in the40s and 50s! Brrrrr. My hotel is in the old town which is an island in the middle of the city. I did a Boat tour yesterday to see some of the 1000s of islands that make up this region and then did a bus tour today. I have done no workouts at all. My only workout like activity has been walking to and from the subway station and walking around the city. I'm very excited to try out the new Cathe workouts when I get home. I'm off to London in the morning, so starting on the home stretch!

The weather here is amazing rain storms. Very heavy at times like I've never seen. Yesterday was CTXPower Circuit and today is a rest day.

Cheryl, I too like carbs when stressed. I know what you mean. Great job on yoga even though you were tired. If the weather is worse tomorrow then we better tie the house down! It was a whooper today.

Pam, So glad it all went well in Stockholm and also for the site seeing. Your hotel sounds like someplace in a fairy Tale. There is a lot to be said about walking. It works. Be safe and enjoy London tomorrow.

Saturday I stayed home instead of going to my mom’s. I was able to get my hip thrust challenge done, made meals to put in the freezer, and did some major and much needed cleaning. I was even able to shampoo the carpet. Sunday was more hip thrust challenge and then Maximum Intensity Strength. And of course after that it was laziness. I have so much going on at work over the next 2-3 weeks that I had trouble sleeping last night as I could not shut my mind off. I was able to get up and get my hip thrusts in and then Circuit Blast.

Cheryl I hope you are getting better sleep. You must have still been fired up from all that stress at work that you couldn’t get quality sleep. Great job on getting yoga in and housework. Hopefully the yoga helped relax you so you can get some good sleep.

Janie Great job on CTX S&I! I don’t remember the combos in that one too well but I do remember having a little trouble with them. Great job on CTX Power Circuit! Try to stay dry and keep that house on the ground. No playing Dorothy and heading to Oz on us.

Pam I agree with Janie that your hotel sounds like something out of a fairy tale. I bet it is so neat to see all the different places you get to travel to. I am glad your class is going well. Keep up the sightseeing and walking, that makes for a great workout.

Pam Glad that your class has been the best ever. Don't worry about missing the workouts walking is a good low impact workout in itself. Enjoy London and I am sure that your new workouts will be waiting for you when you get home.

Janie We have been getting the same crazy rainstorms that you have been getting. It was a great weekend just to be inside. Good job on CTX Power Circuit.

Julie Good job on getting your hip thrust challenge done MIS, the cleaning and making meals. After all that your lazy Sunday must have felt really good. I can relate to your mind not shutting down. So it is your turn to get really crazy at work now :eek:.

So Sunday I did yoga again. Last week must have really done me in because I was still really tired on Sunday too. Today I felt better but I was sitting at my desk feeling like I hadn't left :rolleyes:. Tonight I did Cardio Suptersets.

Taking another day of rest. I truly don't know what to do next. Hmmmm. Better come up with something soon. The sun did peak through every now and again, but not enough to go to the beach. I did nothing today. I bought a DVD called Lastice and found it on Ebay for just over $7.00. Got a really good deal since it was $19.99 everywhere else. Bran new too. There was an enabler on OD and I fell for it. I'm excited to get it because all the reviews were very good. I can't wait to do it. "A one-hour stretch class created by Donna Flagg that teaches you how to articulate your body in ways that elongate muscles from end-to-end. Increase your flexibility and improve body awareness through this special mind/muscle connection". Sounds good to me. Should arrive about the time Cathe's DVD's will be here.

Julie, Great job ond Saturdays and Sundays hip thrust challenge. Also for making meals to put in freezer. Hmmmmmm, I should do that. And for Cleanmax. Even for doing Maximum Intensity Strength. Gosh I love that one, only because I found Cathe by buying this at a second had store. Been a fan ever sense. And for doing more hip thrusts and Circuit Blast, I assume on Monday. Wow you are good. I promise to not play Dorthy. LOL

Cheryl, Great job on Yoga practice on Sunday. And for today's Cardio Supersets. You are doing good.
