Strength in Numbers

Last night I did my band-assisted pull-ups: 3, 5, 4, and 2 negatives (one max hang). I figured out that if I put my foot in the band instead of my knee I can get my chin up to the bar level. I think being that I am 5’ makes the band a little too long for me to do it with my knee in the band. I also did Stretch Max segment 1. It felt really good except when I was doing a downward dog and Oscar decided he wanted to push his head up under my arms and play! :p This morning was a 30 minute steady state run and High Reps. High Reps was fun but man they move fast! I had to pause about 100 times because I couldn’t get the band set up right. No problem changing barbell or dumbbell weights. It was the band that was slowing me down! Oh well, I guess I’ll get faster eventually.

Cheryl So sorry about your midnight call! I keep my cell phone in another room and DH shuts his off. Probably not the best idea in case there is an emergency but we like to sleep. Plus, I have enough troubles sleeping without any interruptions. Last night I slept really bad. I’m not even sure I can call it sleeping. From about 1:30 am to 3 am, I just laid there with my eyes shut. I almost got up at 2:30 to do my workout because I figured there was no reason to just lay there but then decided I wanted to be warm under the covers! :D Hope you had a better night last night!

Janie Great job with TBS and your challenges! Don’t sweat it that you couldn’t go as heavy. Some days you feel really strong and others not so much. It all depends on how you slept, what you ate, what you did the day before, etc. I can’t remember which DVD it is but Cathe talks about all the things that can affect your strength and how after her son keeps her up all night, she has no strength the next day. Consider it muscle confusion! Your body has no idea what weight you are going to throw at it that day! ;)

Pam Great job on CCC! You are so lazy for not doing another 70+ minutes of Butts & Guts in its entirety!!! Just kidding! I don’t blame you one bit on not doing B&G even just the standing portion. CCC is a toughie and when I saw that on the rotation, I thought Cathe really is crazy  (or maybe it is a typo, yeah right!). Great job on sticking it out with those pushups! Some days are really harder than others. I just tell myself to do what I can and if I make it great if not at least I did something. Of course, I am usually having this discussion with myself all day long working myself up to actually doing them when I get home!

Have a wonderful Thursday (one more day to the weekend!!!)!

Janie I know I already checked in but I just got the most exciting surprise in the mail. My earrings and necklace are just absolutely gorgeous! They look even better in person than in the photo and all I can say is WOW! Thank you so much! I wasn't expecting a pendant too! These beads are incredible. Not only can I not believe you made them, I can't believe that they are made out of paper! I am definitely going to have to look at the videos on how to do this. I can't thank you enough, this was just so generous of you! I put the earrings on immediately but I will wait and take a photo when I am having a better hair day! :D:):p:):D:eek::p

Pam

I took today off. Just needed it I think.

Pam, That's so cool that your friends loved the meals you prepared for them. What a really nice compliment they gave you.:D I wouldn't know what I would do without that foam roller of mine. It is a life saver to be sure. Great job on CCC. CCC is plenty enough to do. Glad you listen to your body. I have to do the same thing, right?:) Post on the cats when you have time, let us know how they are doing. K? So glad you enjoy your jewelry, you deserve it. Thank you for all your inspirations.

Julie, Great job on the assisted pull ups. What a great idea to put your foot in the band instead of your knee. Also great job on a stretch max segment and the 30 min. run today with High Reps. Wow, you are good. Come to think about it, I didn't sleep well for a couple of nights, maybe that's what kept me low in weights yesterday. I hope so anyway.

Take care everyone, and have a really nice evening,

Janie

Julie Great job on those band assisted pull ups! Oh and stretch maxz, very nice! I don't have it, but I'm thinking about getting it with the big sale going on now. That and Step Fit because that is one of the few Cathe step workouts I don't have.
Of course Oscar needed to help you, it was a downward DOG after all :p
That is funny that you had to pause to get the band set up in HR! I've only done that one once so far, so I don't really remember it. I get frustrated when I have to pause the dvd a lot though!
I agree, I had to look a few times to really believe that we were supposed to do both CCC and B&G on the same day. What in the world was she thinking?!
I can totally relate to the self discussion on the push ups. They just don't get any easier do they?!

Janie I hope you enjoyed your rest day. It sounds like your body was needing the rest from your description of your workout the day before.
I think I am going to be using my foam roller today as my hip still has a bit of a kink and it was talking to me during my workout this morning.
The cats are fine, just had to go in for their regular checkup, rabies and distemper shots. They get to go back next week though (they are going to be SOOOO excited about that!) Shorty needs his teeth cleaned and I am going to get Butters shaved. He just has too many knots in his fur so we need to start fresh. Butters ran away from me every time I came near him the rest of the day yesterday. I guess he was afraid that I was going to take him back there! He is always so funny at the vet, he just holds on to that carrier for dear life and you can not get him out of there. We always have to take the top off to get him out.
I was admiring my lovely new jewelry again this morning as it was sitting on the counter where I took it off last night. :D

Cheryl I hope you are doing well!
Helen Are you still out there?! Come back and visit us!

This morning for me was 4DS HIS. Other than yesterday, this week the rotation is not too bad. I decided to do the standing part of Butts and Guts since I skipped it yesterday. I felt pretty good and would've kept going if I had had more time. I'm supposed to do my pushups today too but won't do them until later because of the chest work in HIS. It has a lot of push ups and I'm happy to report that I did them all on my toes :D This challenge really is working, even if it doesn't always feel that way! I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Pam

Last night I did my pushups (45 second rest in between each set): 18, 18, 20, 20, 14, 14, 16, and 30. The last set was supposed to be 40 but I just couldn’t do it. So I waited 45 seconds and then did another set to my max which was 20 more. This morning I did Cardio Core Circuit. It goes by so fast but it is a doozy.

Janie That was really good taking a rest day when you needed it! It is always good to listen to your body (but you know that ;)). I see Pam got her earrings. I guess I better check our mail tonight. Since the mail is delivered to a post office (no home delivery), I tend to only check it once or twice a week. But now I have a reason to stalk it!!! Hopefully you are sleeping better with that rest day!

Pam Great job on 4DS HIS plus the standing portion of B&G! Wow!! All of the pushups on your toes in HIS is amazing! I think ultimately that is my goal to achieve out of this challenge. I just want to be able to do the pushups on my toes for any and all Cathe workouts. I really enjoy Stretch Max. For only 20 minute stretching segments, they really get you stretched and relaxed.

Oh Happy Friday everyone!!!

Just stopped in to say I GOT MY JEWELRY!!!:D:cool::eek:

It is so beautiful! DH was impressed that you could make them and from magazine paper even. I took some pictures. I hate taking my picture so it takes a lot for me to post these. I just feel I am one of those people that look better in 3D!  (and ignore the brown butt in the background, the dog's bowls were behind me and Oscar was getting a drink :p)

Thanks again so much! I will think of you everytime I look at one of the beautiful pieces.

Joey and I did TBS using heavy weight, segment from Cathe Stretches and her Hit Abs. Still am not up to par with the weight.:( It could be that I haven't taken a week of recovery since November (I think). I usually take one every month. So, starting tomorrow until next Mon. I'll only be doing balance, stretches/flexibility and some cardio. I'm going to have to put the challenges on hold until then. I'm really not wimping out. I will continue with the challenges on Mon. I may have to return to a later week though.:(

Couldn't help myself, I've been creating more jewelry, and this one, to say the least, is unique. LOL I love it, and plan on wearing it on my 2 year old grandson's birthday party coming up on the 26th. This is a pair of earrings, a necklace and a bracelet. LOL

Pam, I agree, the foam roller should help your hip a lot. I'm glad the cats are OK and will be taken care of. Such a good mommy you are. Great job on 4DS HIS, and the standing part of B&G. You did great with the push ups on toes in the workout.:D

Julie, Great job on the Push Up Challenge, 20 extra for max is very good. You did really well. Also great job on CCC. So glad you like your jewelry. Like I said to everyone else, you are worth it. And, thank you for so much support and inspiration.:D You look beautiful!

Take care,

Janie

Julie It sounds like we were on the same day for our pushups. You did a little better than I did though, I did 18,18,20,20,14,14,16, and a weenie 17 on my last set!!! I knew I was going to be in trouble when the 16 were hard, but I was hoping to at least get 20! I am blaming it on the fact that I worked chest in the morning, but I'm not sure I would've done any better if I hadn't  The good news though is that the last time I tried to do this column I couldn't even come close so there has been some progress. Great job on CC, you're right, it is a doozy!
I think the goal of all Cathe pushups on your toes is a good one. That woud certainly make me happy!
Your jewelry is beautiful and so are you! I realized when you posted the pictures that I had not seen a picture of you before. I think you look stunning but I'm sure you look much better in the flesh!

Janie I think you are right, you need a recovery week. That is a long time to get without one. I felt so much better after taking a week off in January. You have really been pushing yourself hard with all of these challenges and your body needs some time to repair! I bet you will feel great afterwards.
Wow, that new set is so pretty, you are really talented with your jewelry making! What fun!

Hi Cheryl and Helen Hope you are both doing well!

As I said, I couldn't make that last set of pushups yesterday but I still felt accomplished making it through the other sets. My chest is really sore today too! This morning was a double header of 4DS kickbox and LBB and my legs are fried. I am ready for my day off tomorrow. I made a double chocolate raspberry birthday cake for our friends birthday tonight so I guess it's a good thing I had a double header this morning

I am thinking about doing another round of STS because I just got a tower!! I'm so excited! They had them on sale at amazon for $68 including shipping so I just couldn't resist! Have a great Saturday everyone!

Pam

I have thought about all of you a lot over the last several weeks. I haven't read any of your posts since the last time I posted, which was so long ago I can't even remember...

I'm doing okay. I finished up STS about 3 weeks ago and then started doing some workouts I put together on my own. Let me tell you, it's much easier to grab a Cathe dvd that's tried and true, than it is to try to put the right exercises together in the right sequence on the right days. I've enjoyed the challenge, but miss Cathe's encouragement so I will begin another round of STS on Monday morning.

I have been working (substitute teaching) nearly every day and my workout schedule is anything but a schedule. Sometimes it's in the morning, sometimes it's before dinner, and sometimes it's after dinner. The chaos is driving me nuttier than I already am, so I'm going to go back to early a.m. workouts (I know, I know...I've said that before). My eating schedule is off, too. I can't just grab my snack whenever I want when I'm at school, and I have been starving when I get home at about 4:00. That's not a good situation.

Softball season has begun, and I don't have much evening time for the computer anymore. I apologize for not commenting to each of you individually, but know that I've thought of all of you often.

Stay well. Helen

Yesterday was super busy so I didn't get to post. I did do Low Max in the morning and my last day of the pushup challenge (week 5, day 3, col 2): 18, 18, 20, 20, 17, 17, 20, and 35. The last set was supposed to be 45 so I waited 45 seconds and then did another set of 25. I was really pushing (no pun intended) myself to get as many as could since I won't get to finish the challenge with the rotation I am starting on Monday.

After working out, we had to take the dogs to the vet for a checkup, then we went to my nephew's hockey game, and then we went to an RV show to look at travel trailers. We are not buying one this year but really want to get one next year so we can do traveling with the dogs.

Janie A rest week certainly sounds like a good plan! You are so good for listening to your body. I hope to learn that from you! I know you are not wimping out on the challenges. I have a rest week planned in a couple months (right before I start STS) and I can't wait for it. I have never really allowed myself to take a rest week because I am afraid I will fall out of the habit of working out but I am working on a plan for sticking with working out and taking that much needed rest week.

Pam Great job on 4DS Kickbox and LBB!!! I think I did that last week and it really does fry your legs good. Mmmmmmm! Double Chocolate Raspberry cake sounds to die for! You have some very lucky friends to have you cook and bake such yummy foods for them. I think I may have to move to North Carolina soon! ;)

Helen Sounds like you have been quite busy lately! Great job for sticking out with your workouts even if you don't have a schedule or rotation! That is really good and something I am not sure I could do on my own.

Have a wonderful Sunday! I will be enjoying my lazy day Sunday!

Helen, Just wanted to let you know how much you have been missed. Don't do that again! We love you. Congratulations for finishing STS, that is something, isn't it? Tomorrow you will be doing another round of STS. GOOD FOR YOU! We need you as much as you need us. Together we'll support each other. I know you have a hectic work schedule and I trust you will find the time to do workouts. You simply need the support and exercise to be healthy and nutritionally good as well . Glad you are back.

Will post again for other personals and to tell you all what I've been up to on my week off from weight lifting. You are going to think of me as a crazy lady. Oh, that's not new is it? LOL:D

14 MORE DAYS UNTIL SPRING

We are almost there Julie. I guess I haven't been here since Wednesday. Thursday I was soooo tired that I was in bed by 7 so didn't get onto the computer. Friday I did Gym Style Back, Biceps and Shoulders and Saturday I did Body Max 2 but I left out the upper body part since I had already done that the day before. It was a really busy couple of days and I haven't really been able to get onto the computer.

Janie Good job on your challenges. You are doing really well. Poor Rolly not wanting to go outside in the wind. I don't blame him, I just wanted to stay in bed and forget about work.

Pam I hate it when the cell phone goes off late at night. It was my work one and because I am a coordinator of our Business Continuity Plan I can`t turn it off in case someone needs to get hold of me :(.
CCC right into Butts and Guts that is crazy. You are not lazy I would have only done one workout too. Have fun with the dental work. I hate it when my cats need that done because they need to be put under and it take a while for them to get back to normal. Will you need to give him antibiotics? HeHe. We get Tigger shaved too, he gets mats as well. I love the name Butters. Our cats hang on for dear life to the carrier as well.

Julie Saw your picture with your jewlery. It looks really good on and and it is nice to put a face to your posts. I hate it when you don't get a good night's sleep. I agree that staying in bed longer was better than getting up at 2:30 to workout.

Have a great Monday.

Cheryl

Today I spent about a half hour trying to put my knees and hands on the stability ball at the same time. I used the furniture for balance big time. At the end of that half hour, I still relied heavily on the furniture. But, it was fun. Have to be careful though or I could fall off the ball very easily. Also today was such a beautiful day, decided to take Rolly to the Huff and Puff trail. But before we could go, we had to get him a bigger size harness. Yep, he's gained weight. We walked a good 2.5+ miles. It was so nice.

Pam, Very proud of you on the challenges. Great job on 4Ds Kickbox and Lbb. I bet your legs are fried, well done. Your birthday friend is so lucky to have a chocolate raspberry cake made by you. Your plan on doing another round of STS is commendable. You Rock! Have fun with the tower, it's one of the best things I've ever bought. That is a good price for the tower.

Helen, Congratulations on finishing STS. I find it a little harder to figure out what workouts to do sometimes too. It's best when that happens to just follow a rotation of some kind. Good for you for doing yet another STS. You sure can't go wrong with that.:) The way your schedule is to do your workouts will only confuse your body. I bet you are getting fantastic results. Good for you! Good luck on the nutritional part of your journey too, but I have a feeling you will be just fine.:) We thought of you often too and missed the heck out of you.

Julie, Great job on LM and the push up challenges. You did good to make up for the last set. Well done. Sounds like your day was very busy. Hope you find a trailer next year to travel in. It's so much fun! Don't worry about taking a rest week. Your mind set is where it is suppose to be, you won't allow bad habits to take over. Think about routine that has yoga, cardio, stretching, bike riding...in it, and have fun with your week off.

Cheryl, Two more weeks before Spring. That is coming at us so fast! Grateful for it to be just around the corner. Great job on Gym Style Back Biceps and Shoulders, and Sat. BM2. Well done.

Have a good one everyone,

Janie

Helen Welcome back, good to hear from you! Great job on finishing STS! It is such an accomplishment! I commend you for putting together your own routines, I taught for about 20 years and I can't even imagine doing it now! I love just grabbing a DVD and I especially love having a scheduled rotation so that I don't have to even think about which wo to grab!

Julie Great job on Low Max and the last day of the pushup challenge! I did my week 5 cday 3 yesterday but didn't do as well as you. That last set just kills me! I did 18/18/20/20/17/17/20 :( Even the last one of the 20 was questionable! BUT, I thought about you and so I rested 30 minutes and then did one more set. I still only got 31 on that set, but I felt a little better about it!
My husband really likes the idea of getting an RV to travel around the country at some point. I'm not convinced :D His other idea for retirement is to just travel to different places and rent a house and live there for 6 months or so at a time. I guess retirement is on his mind these days! Come on down to North Carolina in your RV and I'll make you a double chocolate raspberry cake :p

Cheryl Wow only 2 weeks til spring!! It is really looking like spring around here, trees and bushes and flowers are all in bloom. Of course that also means my allergies are acting up too, but I'll take it! Great job on Gym Style Back, Biceps and Shoulders and Body Max 2!
That is a bummer having to keep the cell phone on at night. It always makes my heart start racing when the phone rings at an unusual time because I'm afraid it must be bad news. Then of course it takes forever for your heart to calm back down!
I don't know if I'll need to give Shorty antibiotics, I hope not. They are going to be really mad at me taking them back to the vet again so soon though!

Janie OK, I have to ask, WHY were you trying to put your hands and knees on the stability ball at the same time? I think you should've had Joey video tape you so you could post it! :p I have a hard time when I have to do just my hands or just my feet! I can't imagine all 4!
Uh oh, sounds like Rolly needed that Huff and Puff trail if he needed a bigger harness! ;) Sounds like a great time!
I've decided that I'm going to do Cathe's July '10 rotation and then start on STS. Just have to decide on my STS rotation. Maybe the STS/SC combo again.

This morning was Imax original. I hadn't done that one in awhile and really enjoyed it. It seems funny looking at my calendar for March and only seeing 1 workout a day after that crazy rock bottoms rotation! On Saturday afternoon we did such a fun thing. A local company called Taste Carolina does walking tours of the town where you go to different restaurants and have different things to eat and drink at each one. We went to 7 places in all, including a cupcake shop :D and a chocolate factory. The chocolate factory was so cool, the chocolates are all hand made (it's a very small 'factory') starting from the beans. The chocolates were very very good too :D It was kind've like a tapas tour because each place served a small portion of something. We had e Mexican appetizer, fried green tomatoes, full sized cupcakes :D, black beans and rice, homemade tater tots and ended at a little bar with locally made beers. They do them in Durham and Chapel Hill too so now we're thinking we need to do those tours also! Yesterday was a rest day and that is pretty much what I did. It rained all day so it was a good day to be lazy. Have a great Monday everyone!

Pam

Today I started Cathe’s January 2008 fat-burning rotation. Here’s to hoping it does the trick on my most stubborn fat! So this morning was Imax 2! I swear I love this workout a little more each time I do it. That is until interval 9 comes along with those darn plie jacks! Oh well! Part of this rotation is to do a bonus burn every day which I plan to do in the evening. The bonus burn is 40 pushups, 40 tricep dips, 30 alternating reverse lunges, and 200 crunches. I am done now with the pushup challenge even though I didn’t finish it but I will continue to work on those tricky pull-ups MWF in addition to the bonus burn.

Cheryl Great job on GS and Body Max 2! I just love those. I hear you on the Spring! We got a dusting of snow over the weekend that actually stuck (although it is starting to melt now). I almost cried when I saw the snow on Saturday but then I just kept repeating, “2 weeks to Spring.”

Janie LOL! I am picturing you perched up on the stability ball hanging on for dear life like a cat! :p I bet it was fun to try to do that and you are pretty brave to try! So are your abs sore from trying to maintain your balance on the ball? I bet it was so nice to get out of the house and talk Rolly for a walk. Guess he will need to go on a rotation to lose his winter weight!! I can’t wait to take our dogs for walks. Couple more weeks and it should start being nice enough.

Pam Great job on Imax original! That last set of pushups always got me too! I just couldn’t believe that after doing 140 split up into 7 sets that now I was supposed to manage another 40 or 45 without a rest. That is why I always tagged on another set after a short rest. You did amazing with your sets. With the last set you did even more than set before that so that is always a good thing! That tasting tour sounded good. I would love to go to a chocolate factory and taste test for them! Of course then I would need to do a round or two of the Rock Bottoms rotation to get it all off!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Did Aerobic Yoga with Ganga White and Tracy Rich. I haven't done that one for so very long. It was a treat to do this one again.

Pam, Well, the reason I did it was for the practice of balancing. I'm really in need of a balance DVD. Should put that in the next video to do list for Cathe. Hmmmmm. I would love to balance in just that way, (dreaming) but if I could perhaps, maybe, hmmmm do it on both knees and one hand that would be nice. LOL. Oh, what about One hand on and the other reaching out, and one leg lifting while the other one is balancing...Just kidding, this is to difficult. I remember purchasing from Cathe a balance board, maybe I could start with that. :D I took a look at July's rotation last year. Looks like you are in for a treat. Great job on IMAX1. I wished I could have been with you going to one restaurant after another. How Fun!

Julie, Great job on IMAX2. those bonus burns are so much to do!?! Wow! I think I may be done with the challenges as well. Will keep doing push ups and will always try to do pull ups on MW&F, but not so many. It's so much longer than I expected, and want other things in my life right now. No, my abs aren't sore for trying to balance on the ball, however, I tried a PIKE and almost did it! I'll have to try tomorrow again. If there is another nice day soon, will take Rolly for another walk.

Take care everyone,

Janie

No workout this morning, I was hoping to do it tonight but I was too tired. I only got about 5 hours sleep Saturday night and I was really tired last night. It seems to take me a couple of days to recover from lack of sleep . It never used to be this way....it seems it the past several years I haven't been able to workout after a short night's sleep. I think this is my bodies way of letting me know I am getting old :(. I can get by on about 7 hours sleep but 8 - 9 is better. I will try again tomorrow morning.

Janie Tough stuff trying to balance yourself on a stability ball. As Pam said you should have had Joey take your picture. They can gain weight really fast can't they. The 2.5 mile hike will help get him back to where he should be. It was nice here today too. Now they are talking rain again .

Pam The trees and bushes aren't in full bloom here yet but it is getting close. Today was really nice with just a few clouds. I hope you don't have to give Shorty antibiotics, it is not fun. We just had to do that with Tigger for 10 days, and it was the longest 10 days ever. That Taste Carolina sounds like fun. It is a nice way to try different things and finding out about places you didn't know existed.

Julie Interval 9 is a toughie but it feels really good when you get through it and you don't feel like you are going to fall flat on your face :D. I saw on the news tonight that the east got a lot of snow. At least it was only a dusting for you.

Have a great Tuesday.

Cheryl

Julie Hmmm....I'll have to go take a look at that rotation that you are doing. Let us know how it goes. I do love Imax 2. I agree those plie jacks are tough, but I'd still rather do them than the one-legged hops. It isn't even that the hops are particularly hard, they are just annoying for some reason! That is quite the bonus burn you are doing! I have to admit that I am envious that you are done with the pushup challenge, but 40 pushups a day is not easy by any means!
Awwww...sorry to hear you got more snow, hopefully it will be all melted quickly! I heard that those poor people in the northeast got dumped on again. Yuck
It was funny, the guy who owns the chocolate factory was as skinny as a rail! He said that he has a fast metabolism!

Janie Aerobic yoga? That sounds interesting! I'm glad you are having fun with your workouts again!
OK, now you are talking crazy with some of those balance ideas! It would be amazing to have balance like that though! I'm always amazed when I look at the Athleta catalog. Those women are in such amazing shape and there are always a few of them in some unbelievable pose on one arm or one leg or something!
You're right that this challenge is taking way too long. I'm going to keep on plugging for now at least though.

Cheryl Sorry to hear you've been having trouble sleeping. Fortunately that is a problem that I rarely have. Staying awake when I want to is the big issue for me!
Oh man, 10 days of antibiotics would be tough for a cat! I know mine always catches on pretty quickly and start running away from me when I try to catch them. How is Tigger's diet coming?

This morning was High Step Challenge for me. It seems like it's been awhile since I've done that one and it was fun. I also did another pushup test right after I finished the warm up and I only made 41  That's 2 less than the last max test I did :( I sure hope I'm not going backwards here. Week 5 here we come again! Ay yi yi! have a great Tuesday everyone

Pam

P.S. Janie, I am wearing my lovely earrings and necklace today!

Last night I did my pull-ups: 4 band-assisted, 2 non-assisted baby pull-ups, 5 band-assisted, and 3 non-assisted baby pull-ups. I was supposed to do Australian pull-ups but decided to exchange them for baby pull-ups hoping those will help me get a full one in soon. I also forgot to do my max hang. After the pull-ups, I did my bonus burn and am proud to say I made it through that! I thought it would be a piece a cake but I actually worked up a little sweat and had to rest afterwards! Anyway, this morning was Boot Camp with those darn terminator climbers! We'll see how my bonus burn goes tonight with all the pushups and tricep work I did during BC.

Janie Aerobic Yoga sounds very interesting! I may have to look into that for my active recovery weeks during STS. Yes the challenges seemed to take a lot longer than advertised. I really want to write the guy that set up the website and let him know he must have been smoking something the day he wrote up the challenges.

Cheryl Bummer on the bad night of sleep. I actually got a really good night’s sleep last night which means I will probably not sleep well the next couple nights. I never can seem to get too many good nights in a row. I hope you had a much better one last night. Was I looking at the right thing last night when I saw your Canucks are in good standing for the playoffs? Jason was watching a hocky game last night (or maybe it was Sunday ) and I thought I saw the Canucks leading the points for the playoffs.

Pam Great job on HSC! I love that one! For some reason all of the Hardcore workouts are just so much fun. Of course, I think I can say that for about 90% of Cathe’s workouts! Good for you for sticking with the pushup challenge. It is definitely tough to stay motivated with these challenges because all I keep thinking is “they said 6 weeks!” Oh to dream of having a fast metabolism! I think mine is slower than molasses!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Wow I can't believe that I actually have some time at work to post . I had a better nights sleep and got up and did the timesaver workout from Kick Max. I don't have time on a work morning to do 70 minutes so I had to cut it down a bit.

Pam I have problems staying awake too. It is when I get to bed late that I still wake up at 5 a.m.. Tigger caught on really quick too. We were putting the pills in a pill pocket but he knew just to eat the pill pocket and leave the pill . Hopefully you won't have to give your guy any. I think Tigger's diet is working, at least he can now get through the cat door without it sounding like it is going to break :D. We have had to put the food for the other two in a box with a hole just big enough for them to get through. That way Tigger won't eat their food as well. I think I have High Step Challenge on tap for next week. That is a fun workout and like you one I haven't done in a while. 41 pushups is still really good. Maybe you did less because of all the ones you did before in your workout.

Julie Oh those terminator climbers......they are properly named. Hopefully you get a good nights sleep. I still remember the days when I could fall asleep and not wake up until my alarm went off and feel rested. Yes you were looking at the right thing for our Canucks. I believe they are number one in the league right now. I am not getting my hopes up on them getting to the Stanley Cup finals. I have been watching them for 40 years now and have learned to never get my hopes up.

Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Cheryl
