I agree Jodi! Impressive! I am dong that workout on Monday and I don't feel confident I can do that! Maybe I will try tho. The last time I did it I didn't even bother putting my feet on the step after my previous fails! But on Monday I will at least make the attempt.
Today is a cycling workout. I have ridden my stationary bike for thousands of miles, but this will be the first formal workout. I'm interested to see if I like it.
Jengollf, I ordered YAYOG. I'm excited to see if I can squeeze them in on a less active evening.
Sara--YAYOG the book or the DVD? I am doing the DVD program right now. It is broken down in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. I did Novice this week and they weren't hard, tho not a waste of time either. But not challenging like EFX. However, that is the point--"Novice." Next week is intermediate, which expect to be more in line with EFX.
Jen - I got the book from my library on hold (we have the best library ever here in Seattle), but I ordered the DVDs to keep. Since it's new to me I'm sure it will be hard at any level. Excited to try something new and different. How long are the workouts? The website says 20-30 mins.
BTW - that bike DVD is so hard I couldn't even keep up the whole time.
The Novice workouts are 26/28/24 minutes long (there are 3 workouts at each level). The Intermediate workouts are 31/31/28. And the Advanced are 37/35/33. And of course, if you construct a workout using the book it is however long and difficult you want to make it. Every type of exercise he shows in a detailed progressive format, so you can start at the easiest and work your way up to super-advanced.
I finally tried RWH HiiT Circuit Upper Body!
I loved it and I think it's one of my favorites of the set. This workout felt balanced to me - working both upper and lower body. To me it felt like the easiest of all the workouts. I didn't get out of breath! well, except for the last total body cardio. I even went looking for a longer premix (not including abs), but there wasn't one. I can't wait to do this again!
Wow Mary! Sounds like you are completely recovered if HIIT Upper Body Circuit barely got you out of breath! I am always breathing hard after the 3 fast sets of vertical butt kicks and then again when doing 2 sets of snowboards (which always burns out my legs, too). I actually find the total body cardio blast easy! I love that workout, too--and I agree, it works both the upper and the lower body nicely!
Today is a rest day, but I've walked the stairs several times at work already. I'm really trying to move around more during work hours.
Jen, I'm the same way with those vertical butt kicks! Whew! I'm actually glad she doesn't pause long between the 3 sets because if I had too much time to think about them, I think my mind would talk me out of going another round.
I did the Cathe live from yesterday, what a great workout. Wasn't able to get in a second workout today due to being to busy being a housewife!!!!! But maybe that was my second workout. I know I enjoyed the live workout more. I cannot wait for the workout blender so I can make up my own workouts like Cathe has been doing with the live and mixing up the RWH. My legs are feeling pretty tired from the live workout. The only thing missing from that workout was chest and abs, so I did 8 rounds of the push ups/sit ups combo. (from hardstrikes and supercuts). Just make sure I got a good rounded workout.
Roselyn, I'm not currently using my Weider Ruthless but I was for months last year. I used it as an add on after strength work (I was also doing Body Beast) and I also used it as doubles workouts.
Today was Rockout Knockout extreme premix plus Stab. ball abs from Butts and Guts. Also did XTRAIN Legs premix 6, barre, ball, & floor work. My legs were still a little tight this morning from yesterdays workout. I think I'll be doing that live class again soon.
Today was RWH LIHI Back, bi's, & shoulders last premix. Didn't do any real heavy weight work last week, so I'm expecting some DOMs tomorrow. Also did this evening, 4 day spit Kickbox cardio only with abs.
Yesterday I did Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders and today I did HiiT Circuit Upper Body. These two are definitely my favorites out of RWH! Ok, so HiiT Circ UB did feel harder today, not sure why, maybe I wasn't giving it my all the first time? But I still loved it and it is definitely more doable for me than the Legs, LB Circ, and Plyo workouts.
