Ripped with HiiT January

This morning was Hiit chest, shoulders, and triceps. My shoulders and triceps were quivering. It was hard drying my hair. Lol!

Mary it is very cold here too. It's only 17 degrees and snowing.

Did 90 mins of yard/outdoor house work here because it's still 80 degrees and sunny.:( We are finally suppose to cool down some but it probably won't last long. I wish I was back in MN!!! FL sucks this time of year when it's warm and humid, I get enough of that in the summer. I hate having my ac on in Jan. But back to working out. Will try to do some sort of cardio later if I get home in time.
 
Today was Low Impact 1, Plyo 2, and Ruthless Horizontal Circuit. For Low Impact, I didn't bother with the mat and dixie cups and it was much better than the first time I did it. It gets my heart rate up but nothing like Plyo 2. Whew! That one didn't seem as tough this time around, but I was still very winded. Those back and forth straddle hops and the one with the burpees get me every time!

Back to afternoon workouts tomorrow since vacation will be over. I'll miss my long morning workouts!
 
This morning was Les Mills Combat Live 60 and planned doubles is Les Mills Combat Upper Body. And I am sore from yesterday's Chest, Shoulders & Tris--so 3rd time was not a charm! Mostly feeling it in my tris, we'll see if the chest also starts hurting as the day goes on (which is how it usually happens). My glutes and inner thighs are super sore from Les Mills Combat Lower Body Lean Out (Monday's doubles workout).
 
Haven't received the DVDs that I need to start the Xtrain/RWH rotation so I'll go back to the RWH get started rotation until they arrive. I'm looking forward to being able to move and breathe hard again. :) I'm not as sore as I thought I'd be after that Chest, Shoulders, and Tris, but I did have to go to 25s on the bench presses. Must have lost some there. Back at it...

That was a nice warm way to start the day. It's -12F right now. Yesterday I felt cold all day. Today's high is still only -1F. :(

Firemedic, I'll trade you some cold for some of your heat. :D:D:D
 
Ugh! My morning didn't start to well. If anyone would like a 20 year old, I'd be m more than willing to oblige. ;)

I did manage a workout.
The rotation called for Rockout Knockout, but I do not have that one. So,I did Susan Chung Rapid fire 4 kickboxing combos and Rapid fire 3 heavy bag bonus. I used my 12 oz. Gloves. This felt great! No more frustration.

Mary, it seems your cold weather is headed my way. They already called s 2 hour delay for schools.

Jengolf my chest and triceps are sore today, too. Got to love that !
 
Today was Upper Body Circuit premix #5 again. I don't think I ever want to do the regular workout again! Love this premix!

Roselyn, Ringside is part of the Ruthless program. Each workout is about 20 minutes long and you need no equipment. Ringside is mainly boxing with a few lower body exercises and for most of the time you're doing a boxer shuffle. I use my weighted gloves and love how it fatigues my upper body.
 
I agree Jodi--I especially like to use Ringside with weighted gloves after an upper body workout--then it is a real finisher!

This morning was RIHI Back, Shoulders & Biceps. Planned doubles is Les Mills Combat 30 Live. Chest was tight this morning, too, so Chest, Shoulders & Tris is still DOMSing me out!
 
This morning I will do RIHI Back, Shoulders & Biceps too. Did RWH Plyo hiit premix that combines 1&2. 1 is still harder for me than 2. After 2 weeks of moderate cardio I saw a loss of cardio stamina. I had to take several breaks during 1 to catch my breath, but not on 2. Also, I could feel my body struggling to recover energy between exercises. I've got some ground to make up. Let's Hit It!
 
RWH Plyo HiiT Two + Low Impact One was this morning's workout. I really like doing Plyo + Low Impact hiit!

Elaine, I won't be taking you up on your offer. I have a 27 year old I'd love to send off too. :mad: Yesterday I was considering buying a punching bag and then almost went for a ballistic kettlebell workout, but then I knew I wouldn't have the energy for this morning's workout. Stay warm and keep cool. :cool:

Gotta go check out Upper Body Circuit premix #5. That's the only workout I haven't tried out yet, but it's on the schedule a lot for month 2 of my rotation. Tomorrow is my last day of month 1. :D
 
Yesterday was a rest day(much needed). Started today with LIHI back,shoulders, bi's premix #1(shoulders last), love this premix. Just finished with Lean legs & abs extreme premix. I think tomorrow will be some higher impact since I'm missing that now (doing the RWH/LIS rotation) but have to put in some high impact or I'll lose my mind.

Today was Lower Body Circuit. That was the end of the Getting Started rotation for me. Again, another week of a lot of plyo/HiiT stuff. Whew, exhausting! I'll start the January rotation on Sunday.
 
Roselyn, yes! Ruthless is totally worth getting! You get so much for so little money. The workouts are tough and make great add ons to shorter workouts. Definitely check out Jen's awesome review for more details.
 
This morning was HIIT Lower Body. Love that workout! My back is sore from Back, Shoulders & Biceps. I am impressed--after doing the LIHI upper body workouts 3 times I am still getting sore!
