Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for October 2020

Sorry I didn't post yet today, I was extremely busy at work.

Today I did RAW Shadow Boxing and had an ok workout. I initally started out with 1# hand weights but then added another 1# each hand, so 2# each. That made a difference. This is good workout if you don't want to kill yourself with cardio. I enjoyed it and my HR was up the whole time, I was surprised.

Workout was 44 minutes, burned 309 calories (holy crap!), went 3965 steps and HR was130/167.

I don't have time for personals, I will try to be back later. Gotta do the dishes and clean the kitchen.

Today I did Coffey Fit Raw Your Moves, 44 minutes, 160 calories, heart rate 111/144, 2,231 steps, I always enjoy the music on this workout. I also did Raw Cardio Tone stopping at the toning, 20 minutes, 108 calories, heart rate 126/155,2108 steps, finishing with Lite, extended stretch 2, 14 minutes, 20 calories, heart rate 88/99, 72 steps. Total time 78 minutes, 288 calories, 72 steps. Total time 78 minutes, calories burned 288, steps 4,411.

Belinda, nice work on Lite Metabolic today.

Jolie, so, your new house is two story? Sorry you are having problems with your knees and ankles. I am not a fan of carpet, but there are areas of the house it is kind of nice to have I guess. Upstairs has carpet here and of course the stairs and then the master downstairs. We got rid of the rest of it. It is so hard to keep carpet clean. I keep thinking that I will buy a second charger for my Fitbit to use upstairs. I had two with the Fitbit blaze. Hopefully you find it soon. Nice that you got out for a walk and it is cooler. I bet you will enjoy the time with your son and it will give you a break after all of the moving/

Doreen, great job on the workouts. I didn't read about a virtual road trip. When Kelly did hers, it conflicted with my husbands work hours and my church time so I just had to pick up on the workouts on her streaming. A Cathe Road trip virtually should be fun. Wonder if there will be different music from her streaming and dvds?

Debbie, we must have been posting around the same time. I had to walk away from my computer for a bit though. I found the same thing with the shadow boxing. My heart rate was up and my calorie burn was up. I was really surprised at that.

Today I did RAW Your Moves 1 and had a great workout. I think this one is my favorite RAW workout, it is so fun.

Interval circuits at 50 seconds on/10 seconds off. Uses one set of heavy weights (15's) and one set of light weights (8's). Used 1# hand weights for the boxing parts.

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 277 calories, did 2754 steps and HR was 120/156.

Roselyn - So happy to hear you will soon be on the floor at work!! That is awesome and I'm sure you will do great!! Keep us updated.

Jolie - I bet you are so glad your move is over. So your workout room is your garage? That is cool, I'm sure there is lots of room in there. At least it doesn't get too cold where you are in the winter. Hope it works out for you. Also hope your knees and ankles are feeling better today, great job with your workouts!!

Diane - Yes that workout was ok, at first I thought my HR wouldn't get up at all, but it was up there the whole time. I like it, I'm sure I'll do it again. Probably on days when I don't want to kill myself. Great job with your workout yesterday. Your Moves is so fun!

Doreen - Nice job on your workouts last week!!

Belinda - I sort of wished I ordered the new workouts. I will wait and see what you all think about them.

Roxie - Hope you are doing well and hope the job is slowing down a bit.

Hope you all have a great day!

I didn't feel like doing EPIC this morning so I did another Jani Dittman workout. Tabata supersets alternating a weight move with a cardio move. This was fun. She says you only need one dumbell but she really used two.

I'm looking forward to the new workouts. I need to pull Kelly's new DVDs into a rotation too since I only did them a couple times this summer after I got them. So maybe I'll try to work this year's releases into a type of rotation... who knows?

Good morning

MMA Kickboxing is done.

Roselyn - I am looking forward to the new workouts too.

Debbie - you can always order the new workouts on sale like Black Friday/Thanksgiving. The 30 min workouts looked good to me. Great job this morning and yesterday.

Jolie - hope you feel better today.

Diane - great job as well.

That's it for me today.

Today I had an awesome workout, I walked and did CL#185 Pumped Upper Body and core. TM walk was 45 minutes uphill, 6.0 incline, traveled 2.4 miles, 3.2 speed and burned 401 calories. Total workout time was 1 hour 40 minutes and I burned 815 calories. I also took my dog for a 1 mile walk so I already have 11k steps for the day. I am trying to get some big workouts in before I leave for Nevada. Heart rate was 129/170.

Debbie, the workout you did today looks like a lot of fun. I have a hard time with curtsy lunges. I got my gym completely set up yesterday and got a floor to ceiling mirror so I can focus on my form, I didn't have a mirror in my last gym room. I am glad you can box again even with that knot in your shoulder/back area.

Belinda, I haven't done MMA in so long, I remember liking it and I also remember it being lower impact. I did not order the new dvd's, I will wait to see what you all say about them first. I could always stream them on demand I suppose.

Diane Sue, nice workout yesterday, it looks like a really great workout. I only have carpet on the stairs and upstairs bedrooms and hallway. Down stairs the entire floor is Travertine stone, which I love, I had it in a previous home years ago. I really think it is pretty and it really keeps it cool in the house on hot days.

Doreen, that Tabata type workout you did today looks good. Thanks for posting it, I might do that one soon. I am lookin for some shorter workouts to go along with cardio.

Roselyn, tell us how it goes with your first client. You should have a family member come in or a friend to take the stress out of it for you. Great job with T25, that is a tuff workout.

Make it a great day.

Jolie - I needed something low impact today. I have to look if I have CL#185? I bought so many of her live workouts I can't remember. Great job on your workout and steps. How long are you staying in Nevada? Have fun.

Today I did Cathe Live #287 Kickboxing, low impact hiit, and abs, 54 minutes, heart rate 115/153, 4,016 steps. I followed this with Cathe Live # 307 All Core on the Floor 26 minutes as I skipped the last couple of moves and went on to the stretch for time constraints(and I did not want to do more supermans) 41 calories, heart rate 90/120, 146 steps. Total time was 80 minutes calories burned 271, 4,162 steps.
I liked the Kickboxing workout, but sure though that my heart rate was higher than what is logged at. The floor core was good, and not too many crazy hard moves and no equipment. Some plank moves mixed in, but it didn't seem excessive. My shoulders were not not real happy with it though and neither was my low back and there was more than one segment targeting the low back area. Mine was already sore from Iron Legs from Saturday and the Kelly's yesterday. The school zooms are not working. Their teaching app where we go through to get to zoom seems to be down and possibly overloaded. We managed to get math in this morning, but nothing else is working.

Debbie, it is odd how that boxing workout got decent calories and heart rate. I did feel like I needed more and did the second workout. I like that the boxing was a bit slower and concentrated. It helps keep from aggravating my joints. I was reading some stuff when questioning boxing and neck and cervical spine degeneration. It is okay, but you have to be careful of really doing jerking movements and not do it if it is hurting. Your Moves is one of those workouts that seems to make time go by fast. Enjoying the music and the moves.

Belinda, nice work with MMA kickboxing today.

Doreen, that is funny that she says that you can use one weight and she uses two. Alternating tabata and weights is fun.

Jolie, the stone flooring would be nice for cooling. Having tile and wood downstairs, in the winter I wear slippers most of the time as the bare floor is cold even though we have floor heat vents downstairs. I am guessing your feeling better since you are doing more. Nice work on getting so many steps in so early in the day.

Good morning,

Trisets Upper Body is done.

Who is signing up for Cathe RT? For the cost of the RT, I can get an entire year of CL :)

Belinda - where did you see the price for the virtual RT? I just saw she was going to put up a vote for which weekend to do it.

This morning I did EPIC day 13. This is all hamstrings and glutes.... which means most of the workout is glute bridges, hip thrusts and squats. Every move is done regular, 1 1.5 reps, pulses, 5 count hold, and slow count.

I think I will be sore tomorrow!!

This morning I got on my Max Trainer and did Max Power 14 with Taylor Merritt and had a great workout. This one was fun with 15 second sprints and 55 second recoveries going from a level (incline) 4 to 6 throughout the workout. Tough stuff. I did the warmup from GS Legs first which is included in the total time of this workout.

Workout was 23 minutes, burned 128 calories, went .61 miles, did 1524 steps and HR was 114/156.

Also walked on my treadmill on an incline of 3 for 22 minutes, burned 140 calories, went 1.04 miles, did 2554 steps and HR was 120/130.

Doreen - Great job with your workout. I find all I've been wanting to do lately are Kelly's RAW workouts. I love them all. For me the subscription cost is definitely worth it.

Belinda - That's a good idea, I can wait to hear what you all think of Cathe's new workouts and then buy them on Black Friday. I need to get back into her Live workouts, I'm paying for it and not using it. Stuck on Kelly's RAW channel. Great workout today! You are kicking butt.

Jolie - Great job with your workout yesterday. I love curtsy lunges, they are my favorite type of lunge. Lately nothing is bothering my knees, I'm so happy about that. The marine collagen has really helped me a lot. So how do you like you new place so far? Hopefully no coyotes or ants there!!

Diane - I might try that kickboxing workout you did, not sure I've done that one yet. I seem to be stuck on Kelly's workouts lately, I love them so much. I also want to try that leg workout you did of Cathe's last week, that one looked fun. I might do that one on Friday. Great job with your workouts yesterday. I need to do more ab work, I keep saying I will and then I don't.

Have great workouts everyone!!!

Belinda, nice work on getting Upper Body Trisets in.

Doreen, I looked for something about the virtual road trip, but did not see one. That does sound like a workout that would make you sore for awhile.

Debbie, I tend to enjoy Kelly's Kickboxing workouts more. Particularly when the music is fun. I am not sure why, but I think Cathe throws in extra stuff like burpees with punches, lots of jacks and things to hike up the heart rate. I just do not enjoy adding dreaded things to my workouts. Plus Cathe does not exactly stay with low impact on some workouts that are called low impact. Still it is nice for a change and I am just checking out the workouts that peak my interest.

Today I did RAW Box & Pump - the first one. Great workout, I love this one as much as I love #2. This one has Kelly and Lori working out together. Music is good in this one.

I'm doing legs tomorrow so I skipped them this morning. Workout was 47 minutes, burned 351 calories, did 3045 steps and HR was 139/181.

Belinda - Cathe is having a RT? Is it live or virtual? How many of those have you been to? I've never been to any.

Diane - I agree, I like Kelly's workouts because they aren't so intense yet I still get a great workout. Don't get me wrong, I love Cathe, but for right now, Kelly is my favorite. I might do that leg workout you did the other day from CL, that one looked good.

Hope you are all ok and have a great workout today!!

I did a cycle ride this morning - a cross country ride near Fruita, CO. This was just follow along style - no virtual instructor, etc. Was nice as I didn't want to think or work too hard!! Just one of those days.

I forgot to check in yesterday. I walked outside for 1 hour, 3 miles all uphill or downhill. I did not wear my FB so I have no idea my calorie burn or steps.

Today I did my own workout, 20 minutes on the TM uphill, 6.0 incline, 3.2 speed and burned 245 calories. Next I did my own total upper body workout and did one set per exercise, x 16 reps besides ABS, I did x 20 reps. Total workout was 58 minutes and I burned 484 calories. Heart rate was 126/182 That seems high? I will be gone tomorrow through Sunday to go to my sons football game on Saturday in Reno. Debbie, nice Tread Climber workout today, I love doing sprints with longer recovery time. No Ants or Rats or snakes, but I do hear coyotes at night howling. Our house was tented for Termites right before we moved in so it must have killed everything in the house. I am very thankful.

Doreen, the workout you did today would kill me, I havent done an entire leg workout in a long time. Way to go! The instructor seems really good and not annoying like most.

Belinda, nice workout, love that workout!

Diane Sue, I love PHA workouts, I dont have room to do them right now till we work on our garage and organize and get some more room. I have a ton of unpacking to do still.

Hi everyone,

I had run errands this morning. I am waiting for Cathe to lease the Perfect 30 downloads.

Debbie - I have been on 2 Cathe's RT's with my daughter. In 2007 I flew in from Germany for the RT :) Cathe had to cancel the RT in NJ this year due to Covid. This one is virtual here is the link. I may still try to get in, my DD really wants to do it with me. https://cathe.com/announcing-cathes-first-ever-virtual-roadtrip/ Not saying I get in. Space is limit.

Jolie - your total body looks amazing. Fantastic job, girl! Have fun in Nevada.

Diane - I have to check out KCM kickboxing. I agree, about the burpees, jumping jacks. Great job yesterday.

I will be back later.

No workout today. Plans changed  . The teacher got on zoom this morning after a few tries. We ended up doing all of the work on out own though. It was more of introducing new children to the class procedure. It was annoying that I got up early to shower before the sun came up since I was expecting the landscapers. It got to about time to take my granddaughter to her Dentist appointment and I was writing a not to leave on the door right when they texted and said it would be tomorrow. So, the only way I will get in a workout is to get up extra early even though I have cleaning to get done after my husband gets up and the debate is tonight. Maybe I can workout later tomorrow. I will have to see if I can make it work or not.
I see the downloads are not available yet. I saw my dvds are on the way.

Debbie, I like all three of the Box and Pump workouts. That is the one I always felt like kelly kind of threw the lower body in like she almost forgot she missed that part or something. I like scales, particularly without heavy weight as they seem to help my lower back when it is feeling tight and achy. I love Cathe too, but have to make other choices that are easier on my joints when I am having pain. Kelly works for me well as far as lower impact, easy to follow, and I like the music in quite a few of them Also Kelly comes up with some different stuff.

Doreen, nice work with the ride.

Jolie, I am glad that you got a walk in yesterday. Your workout today sounds good. The heart rate does seem high. Maybe it was just one of those things where the watch is trying to right itself. The PHA Supersets was a good choice for me as the weights were not super high most of the time and 16 reps. Just enough heavier weight, so I was not in extra pain today. I know you will enjoy your family time this weekend. Here it is in the 83 today and tomorrow it drops to 49 high and next week we have forecast of freezing rain and snow chances. I doubt it will stick, but I really hate those fluctuating temps like that. Hopefully it is not pouring rain tomorrow since those landscapers are procastinating and there is a chance of rain before 7 am. We need the sod done and the junipers planted so they can establish a bit before a hard freeze.

Belinda, I finally got a chance to sit down here and was hoping for those perfect 30 downloads too. I took the opportunity while out today to go to the vet and get Gertie her vet prescription dog food. She does not like the Royal Canan (same brand) weight management I got from Amazon. She is such a spoiled dog. I love her though. Bad when you pay 83 dollars for a bag of dog food and the dog turns up their nose at it.
That is cool that you were able to go to a Cathe Road trip with your daughter. I almost went to the very first one. My husband was out of country and my daughter in law said she would go with me, but something came up and we did not go. After they started doing it all of the time, and forums kind of changed, I lost interest. Before I thought I would be meeting people that I talked to all of the time and felt like were friends. I posted a lot back then.

I just downloaded the Perfect 30 workouts :D Transferred to my external drive so maybe I can do something in tomorrow.
