Saturday I did Jessica Smith Walk Strong and Have Fun Step and Stride, 30 minutes, 158 calories, heart rate 124/155, 3,432 steps followed by Raw 5 day Strength day 5 stretch, 36 minutes, 37 calories, 79/102 heart rate, 70 steps. Total time was 67 minutes, 195 calories, 3,502 steps. The rest of the day was spent helping our daughter with fixing things to sell her house. Had a break and stayed up to late watching the last Terminator movie.
Sunday morning I did Jessica Smith Gentle Yoga neck and shoulders, went to church and went back to my daughters house to help.
This morning I had my grandchildren here since my daughter had a professional day at school. So, I was entertaining the 5 year old most of the time. I did manage to get in Step Boss PHA 2 Timesaver #6, lower body only, 33 minutes, 105 calories, 102/134 heart rate, used Cathe's weights, 1,425 steps. I finished with the Step Boss Bonus floor stretch, 10 minutes, 9 calories.
Tomorrow I have a visual field test and vision tests. Part of it is the tests I have to have while taking the Hydroxychloraquine (Paquenil ) for arthritis.
Jolie, the push pull premix is a good one. I love the premixes on Cathe's workouts. I love blueberry and lemon muffins. I have made some quite a lot from Practical Paleo cookbook. Even the children liked them. I always try to use the healthies ingredients in even the goodies that I make.
I haven't went to the hair dresser in years. I color my own hair and have my husband cut it.
Belinda, I guess Jessica Smith's Cardio Party didn't have music that made you think much of a party ? I hope doing STS works for you. Lighter on lower sounds like a good day. I am doing better today. Tired from lack of sleep, but my knees are good. Still battling the neck and shoulders issue. At least last night and today I have not felt so bad that I needed to take some Advil or something.
Roselyn, nice work on Lift it Hiit it legs.
Debbie, I have tried vegetarian before with allowing some fish here and there. Even down to making my own tempeh and stuff for vegan chili in place of meat. It did not work well for me. I lost too much weight and did not feel well. No energy. A balance is good though. I do not always have meat every day. This weekend I have not been so balanced. Yesterday I ended up with two salads, one from Mcdonalds and one from Braums. Not the healthiest thing. I try to use half the dressing. If I have it at home I use my homemade dressing. I am not a fan of those that try to scare people completely away from meat. I think we need to be careful and know what are the best choices. If you have P90X2 there were some vegan recipes in their cookbook that came with it. They used to have lots of recipes on Beach Body. I have some cookbooks, but rarely use them. Pinterest has plenty of recipes. I have a book by Tony Horton and one by his personal chef that I have used recipes from that I really liked. He had a hummus that was really good in his I made a lot. I used it as spread on a brown rice tortilla with tuna. I still tried to avoid gluten and wheat products. It seems like most of the cookbooks I buy end up having 2 or 3 recipes I make all of the time. I have not purchased another since I bought some for the Instant Pot. Most were Keto and Paleo and I avoid the lots of fat recipes. I just looked and the one cookbook from Tony's chef is called Karma Chow.
It really sounds like you are dealing with the same problems I have other than maybe the degeneration that I have in my neck.
I have been avoiding eggs. lately. I think next time I make my whole 30 ranch dressing I will try making a mayonnaise for the base without the 1 egg in it. I don't make mine quite the same as the recipe because I have quit using the coconut milk and I use avocado oil or almond oil.
A lady in my church has to have shoulder replacement surgery. She told me her doctor who is into natural food and healing gave her a recipe for a drink that would do wonders for speeding healing. I keep trying to remember all of the ingredients. I might have to ask her again what was in it.
Here is what I have down
garbonzo beans (wondered if it was the beans or she meant chickpea flour)
greens
turmeric
coconut water
tahini
(so far that is all I can remember so not sure if there was more)
