Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for February 2020!!

Jolie, I hate packing. Large houses are so much work. I felt like that when we had the huge two story house before this one. All brick and wood floors and tile in the kitchen. It was a beautiful old house in the European style, but I was relieved to downsize. I do miss all of the storage though. Plus, the outside area took a lot of hours for me to keep up with weeds and planters. Too much yard. I have had my Fitbit Versa 2 since Christmas. It is new. I have been really happy with it. It was working well till the update. It is so obvious when I repeat workouts and put them in my fitness pal or look at my notes and the burns are a lot lower. My Blaze still works, but the battery was not staying charged more than a couple of days. I usually charged it every day just in case. Have you tried adjusted the seat placement and height to see if that makes a difference for your knees. I recently did some adjustments on mine when I was doing the Les Mills streaming and they talked about adjustments. It made a difference for me.

Debbie, I am hoping that they do another update that fixes those changes in our Fitbits. I just looked at the floors on mine and I know I went up and down the stairs more than 6 times today. Usually it is at least double that and when cleaning or chasing a small grand child up and down that goes way up. I haven't been watching the floors that much since I got the new watch. I like that you can scroll through the workouts you have done and stats right on the watch instead of having to look at the app on the phone.

Doreen, thanks for the video and information. I saved the video to my watch later on youtube. I am not understanding what you mean by pull and push cycle. My bike just pedals forward and backward.

Good morning,

Sydney 60 min Lean Legs and Strong Ab workout is done. I am done for today.

I will be back later to catch up on personals

This morning I walked on my treadmill as my right arm is still tender but not hurting like it was yesterday. I am scheduling a Solo & Ensemble contest I have coming up soon and all that sitting and use the mouse is also bothering my upper back area. I am standing as much as possible - I bought one of those desk things that go up and down. Standing helps.

I walked for 48 minutes, burned 311 calories, went 2.33 miles and did 5678 steps. HR was115/133. Got a good sweat going this morning, I walked at a 3% incline.

So my FB isn't keeping track of mileage correctly either. My treadmill said I went 2.55 miles. It used to be exact with what my treadmill said, now it's always less. However, I noticed that with my Versa from the beginning. The calorie burn and stair thing went down after the update. WTH??

Oh well, what can you do?

Jolie - I can't believe you have to leave that a beautiful house. I bet your heart is broken. And I don't mean to sound rude, but moving isn't the answer. Your son will find trouble there as well. I'm speaking from experience with a relative of mine. I do understand about your husband's traveling, though.

Have great workouts everyone!!

CL 283 Breathless legs this morning. This one was fun! 8 exercise repeated once and then 6 exercises repeated once. A few exercises were cardio based but it was definately doable and super easy to make lower impact if needed (it wasn't super high impact anyway)

Quick check in. I have to pick up my youngest grandson from school for early release and his older brother is coming over to borrow my car so he can take his car to the shop again.
I did Coffey Fit Raw Cardio Overload version 2, 32 minutes, 147 calories, heart rate 118/153, 2,766 steps, wearing my 8# vest. I then did Raw Intervals #1 35 minutes, 169 calories, hert rate 127/155, 2,700 steps using 3# dumbbells. I finished with Step Boss Chair stretch, 17 minutes, 21 calories, 56 steps. Total time was 84 minutes,
333 calories, 5,522 steps

Belinda, nice work on Sydney's workout today.

Doreen, I wish Cathe's low impact workouts did not still contain some impact. I never could understand workouts that would say low impact and then have jumping jacks and stuff. Glad that that one was a good one that can be worked around.

Jolie, it seems like you just moved into that house. I am really sorry that you have to leave it. I hope things go well for you with the move and your son and his attitude.

Debbie, I keep thinking when I have time I want to check out the Fitbit forums and see if others are complaining about the same problem since this update. I really do not think my near an hour and a half workouts should be so low. Today was cardio and I feel it should have been somewhat more than it was. Both workouts were around 60 calories more on MFP from before. The stretches previously were about double before.

Good morning,

Sydney Shredded Arms & Strong Glutes plus butt burner is done. I also did SBF Tabata.

That's it for me for today. BBL!

No workout yesterday, that was my 2nd rest day for the week. Today I did Cathe Live, Glassboro Road Trip and had an incredible workout. I went up in weight in a few exercises and it felt good to lift a little heavier. I got on my Spin Bike and road on a good resistance for 10 minutes. Man, my quads are feeling it! It is amazing how introducing a new workout device can really make you feel sore. workout was 1 hour and I burned 439 calories.

Great workouts yesterday to all of you!

Regarding my house, yes i love it, the ocean views, sunrises and sunsets are spectacular but it is what it is. The owner is probably going to increase the rent drastically because there is very few houses on the market for lease so it is a owners market. Also, he might sell it so there is nothing that i can do. He might change is mind at the last minute because he always says that we are the best tenants he has ever had. We shall see. My husband is looking at other houses, much smaller in another beach community and they look nice. I am a Gemini, and with that said, i love change so i am not heart broken over this issue. I have to say, my son is behaving much better now that he is working. I went into Sprouts and asked them how he was doing, i was in buying some food, and they said he is one of their best employees! The fact is , he just hates school!!!!! I have to say, i didnt like it much either, i just went because the boys were so cute :)

I am going shopping to Fashion Island Mall today in Newport Beach. I am going to the Lily Pulitzer store and Lululemon to get some new workout cloths. I have gift certificates from Christmas and i am going to use them today.

Have a wonderful day.

Diane - Maybe we have to calibrate our Fitbits? Mine was asking me if I wanted to calibrate it but every time it asked me it was late at night. I don't know what calibrating it entails. Maybe I will look it up later and possibly try that tomorrow.

Jolie - I hate change!!! If my routine is disturbed in any way, I am not happy. LOL!

no workout today we got a call from my mom about my dad he had to be taken to er and then i got a horrid migraine which made me so sick so my husband brought me home and they are still there he finally got in a room, the er was packed thankfully he went by ambulance and got right in to an er room. I guess with this virus they double contaminate rooms which is good and so many people scared so going to hospital with any symptoms.

This morning I did Step Boss I Max 4, 45 minutes, heart rate 117 average, 154 max, 207 calories, 4,309 steps. I then did Kelly Coffey Body Design yoga and cooldown, 13 minutes, 37 calories followed by Jane Adams Gentle Yoga Morning Energy + an upper body stretch from Amazon Prime "Lumowell" 24 minutes, 26 calories, heart rate 82/124, 54 steps. Total time was 82 minutes, 270 calories, 4,363 steps. I did not get the steps for Body Design yoga as I forgot to start my watch. I just used a previous reading on MFP.

Debbie, I never heard of calibrating my Fit bit. I would have to go look that up. It was still way off today again. I told my husband I could have burned the same amount of total calories in 82 minutes sitting on my backside.

Jolie, I hate change and new things. I do not like moving once I am settled. I have had to do it too many times. Maybe it is old age, but I kind of like the security of staying in one place. Have a lot of fun shopping for new workout clothes. I need to get some new jeans and tops. I am so glad that your son is doing well and likes his job.

Belinda, nice work with Sydney's workouts and SBF Tabata.

Roselyn, sending prayers out for your Dad. I hope the migraine goes away quickly. Do, they know what is wrong?

Good morning,

Going to get a massage with my DD and DIL. We also will grab a bit to eat.

Jolie - sometimes change is good. I moved a lot in almost 32 years in the military. Good luck with the move and house hunting.

Have a great Sunday, everyone.

CL 103 Cardio Circuit Mashup this morning. 45 mintues. This was alternating cardio and strength moves and then moves using the band and loops. Fun workout - on the higher end of impact for a Live workout. Some stuff I did on the rebounder.

I haven't moved in 15, almost 16 years- aghh! I think moving would kill me. But it would help- we really need a good purge of all the stuff that's accumulated over the years!

Today I did a workout I have never one before and it was a lot of fun. It was RAW Cardio Weight Tabata Intervals. Had a great workout and it went fast. I didn't write the exercises down but it alternated between cardio and compound movement segments. I used 12# dumbbells for most of it, 10# ones when my traps felt like they were getting tight. Each interval was 20 seconds long. She had a neat counter in the background doing a countdown as the segment ended and the it counted down when it started a segment. Really cool. Noel did this workout with Kelly.

Workout was 39 minutes, burned 303 calories, did 1908 steps and HR was145/181.

Also walked on my treadmill for 12 minutes and burned 75 calories. Woop woop! LOL!!

Roselyn - Saying prayers for your dad. Please update us.

Have great workouts everyone!

Roselyn, I am praying for your father.

Doreen, I hadn't moved for 17 years and you should see the crap you acquire in that amount of time. Things are stuffed everywhere!!!! Great job on the Cathe Live workout today.

Diane Sue, BBL to read your post.

I hope you all have a great day!

Doreen, every time we have moved it seems like I have thoroughly cleaned out the junk and everything is nice and neatly put away for awhile. I loathe moving and packing and changing utilities and addresses and all that comes with it. Such a headache.

Belinda, I have been doing a lot of purging lately. I keep filling up our garbage cans and the house is feeling a little lighter :) Besides, we have been considering moving so my husbands drive to work is not so far.

Debbie, I have always liked that workout. Time seems to move quickly from one move to the next. Noelle was the one doing the workout on Box and Bar that I did today. Kelly did the form pointers and took her through the workout. I liked it. You did well with the calorie burn. I on the other hand am getting frustrated. Maybe my heart rate has gotten lower or something. I have shut down my watch multiple times. I have been on FitBit forums. I guess I am glad my watch is working after update complaints about watches not turning back on and some apps not working on them. I didn't find help there. I read up on calibrating and it sounded like a lot of work. I still don't quite understand what it was saying since it was intended to get more accuracy in stride and distance.

Jolie, nick knacks are such dust collectors. I keep trying to get rid of them. I trashed a whole collection of plates from countries and states we have visited. I had so many and had stuffed them in a tote that we are dragging from house to house. Why we keep those things I have no clue. There is some sentimental value though. I did pull out the Disney anniversary one we had picked up when we took a trip to CA to visit family and stayed in the Disney hotel for several days and celebrated my older daughter's 10th birthday. Our family had so much fun and got the extra hour at night after the park closed to outsiders. It was a great memory. Our youngest first visit to Disneyland. When we lived in Orange county the other two had been there quite a few times.
Great job on the workout today. I find Cathe's newer dvds are pretty much the same as her live workouts. Easier to mix and match with dvds and the use of premixes though for individual preferences.

Good morning,

Sydney's 60 min Back, Arms & abs plus bonus 10 min Toned arms is done.

Jolie - I should pull out S&S. You probably need a break from CL. I am sure you know all those workouts by heart anyway. Great job as always. You are like me when it comes to clutter. After I posted about purging yesterday I started going through some stuff. My car is always full off stuff we no longer us. I will donate it once I get enough bags together to the homeless shelter in DC.

Debbie - great job on your workout yesterday. Glad you enjoyed it.

Diane - I donate everything I no longer need to the homeless shelter in DC. I feel bad putting it into the landfills. Maybe someone else could use it. We were suppose to move the end of the year. Not sure if you remember? The toxic factory will not open for another year, YEAH! People here are fighting and keeping them in court, lol. I am still getting rid of stuff. Eventually we will move away from here.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in after me.

BBL!
