Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for February 2020!!

I haven't ordered. I see presale already changes on the 7th. I just have other things I want and haven't really felt all that excited about it. I kind of like the idea of another low impact Hiit and maybe the yoga, except I don't use her other yoga workouts. Although maybe these well be different. I would need to see what type of weight workout it has. I will have to think about it.
 
This morning I got on my Max Trainer and did Max Endurance 14 with Jared and had a great workout. I did this one a couple of weeks ago and I really like it. My HR got up there with this one.

Workout was 19 minutes, burned 115 calories, went .55 miles and did 1345 steps. HR was 117/167.

Then I got on my treadmill for 31 minutes, burned 202 calories, went 1.5 miles and did 3588 steps. HR was118/168 although my HR did not get up that high by just walking. FB is wacky sometimes.

So are Cathe's new workouts all 30 minutes? I might consider them because that is what I'm doing right now. 30 minutes of a workout and 30 minutes of TM or yoga. I like this schedule for right now. I need to look at those more closely to see what they entail.

Diane - I agree with you, I don't care for Cathe's yoga workouts. Not sure why.

Sorry i haven't done personals in a while, just been really busy at work and at home. Hopefully tonight I can sit and do some catching up.
 
Belinda- I'm skipping Perfect 30 until I see clips/hear reviews and then I will wait for a daily deal or just buy the downloads when she runs a sale.

I did CL 192 Advance Step Choerography this morning - really fun! I had a few extra minutes because my kids are on 2 hour delay this morning so I previewed and tried a bit of the new dance routine Michelle Dozios gave out for free on her instagram account. She should do LIVE cause her classes look amazing!!
 
Doreen - thanks for you input on Perfect 30. I will also wait for reviews first and maybe I get them when she runs a sale.

Debbie - there is the link. I don't care nor do I ever reach for Cathe's yoga workouts. I am not interested in HiiT either. The only one I would consider is the Pump workout. I probably will pick that one up after I read reviews when she runs another sale.Great job this morning.

Today is my rest day. I am tired from my cardio workout yesterday so I will rest today.

I had a break through with my son yesterday. Let me start out by saying, it got really ugly before it got better! But, we talked through so much, more than we have in probably 4 years. I think he is starting to see the light! Thank you once again for being able to lean on all of you during this stressful time in my life, I greatly appreciate it!

Belinda, I do not order Cathe's dvd's anymore because the Cathe live workouts are basically the same. A matter of fact, they all seem so similar anymore. I like her older workouts like STS, Gym Styles ect. now everything is more cardio based. Since I like to do my cardio on machines, her newer workouts aren't my favorite anymore. If I want to do cardio and weights, Yvette Bachman is my go to instructor, for FREE! Nice job on the workout today.

Doreen, Great job on the Cathe Step workout today. I like Michelle Dozios, I will have to check out those workouts again.

Debbie, great cardio workout today. I used my elliptical yesterday and it felt so good to run again.

This morning I did Raw Kettlebells (44 min actual) 50 for writing and putting on my Gel hand wrap gloves, heart rate 113/173,169 calories, 1,279 steps. I also did Raw 5 day strength day 5 stretch, 36 minutes, 78/106 heart rate, 37 calories, 73 steps.
Raw Kettlebell is listed as a cardio work, but is also a strength workout. Kelyy uses a 20 and a30# kettlebells
I think this is all done 20 on 20 off timed.

Back for personals finally...

Diane - Back to the purse I was carrying the other day. I never do that. I usually have a cart and put it in there but my friend and I weren't really planning on buying anything. Mistake, I ended up buying a new Keurig Mini-K and carried it around with that heavy purse. Stupid, I know better. Whenever I go to places like a craft show or Amish country, I always take one of my small motorcycle purses and only take money and my phone with me. But when I go to work and grocery shopping, I take my big purse. I'm fine now, it did feel better after I heated it for a while. I'm glad I took that bench apart, it really took up a lot of room. Nice going on your workouts this week. I really like Jessica's yoga but I still think Karen Voight's are better. Maybe because I've used hers forever. But Jessica is nice for a change and her gentle yoga is good and I like her personality. Nice job with your workouts. I haven't done that Kettlebell workout in ages. I want to do kickboxing so bad but feel I should wait a little while longer to make sure I won't injure myself again.

Jolie - I'm glad you were able to talk to your husband and get things straight with your son. Hopefully he will continue to be a respectful adult. Good job with your workouts and I hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Belinda - Thanks for the link to the new workouts. I doubt I'll get them, Cathe's workouts are about all the same plus I love doing Kelly RAW and CL for now.

Doreen - Good job with your workouts.

Roselyn - Are you loving your job so far? Do you do nails at all or just hair?

I had my grandchildren here this afternoon so am late getting back here. I went to make a zucchini chicken basil hash whole 30 recipe tonight and the chicken package said it had 1 1/2 lb of chicken breast. I thought I would save one breast for a meal tomorrow, but when I went to weigh it out that package really only had 1 lb in it. I have ran into this before when I purchased ground beef and thought the package looked less than a lb. I am wondering if this is how they sneak some extra funds off of purchases. Most people are not going to weigh that package. I got it at Walmart. So, no extra for tomorrow.

Belinda, nice job getting your workout in today. Cathe sure was fast getting another workout series started after this other one. I have hardly broken in the Step Boss workouts.

Debbie, it seems like my Fitbit has been different since the update it did this last week. My burns are even lower. Yoga has dropped to quite a bit less than it was. When I do the same workouts I have done recently, the burns are lower. I like how you put your two pieces of cardio equipment to use together. I have carried a large purse for so many years carrying things for my children, grandchildren, and even my husband. So, it weighs a ton. I have water with me in my purse everywhere I go. I used to have some Karen Voight workouts and really liked them. They were all vhs and I got rid of all the vhs workouts. I like doing kickboxing, but it kind of bothers my neck and shoulder if I do it too many days in a row. My neck feels better today after doing the kettlebell workout, but now the pain seems to have moved to my right rear shoulder blade below the neck. I was reading some stuff about kettlebells and helping with neck and knee pain and even saw a site using a lighter kettlebell to help in stretching. Interesting stuff.

Doreen, I would probably like that CL step workout.

Jolie, that is great that you had a breakthrough with your son and a good talk. Praying things will be much better for you now.

I did Sydney UB Sculpt + cardio finisher this morning but instead of doing her cardio I switched to a Studio Sweat on Demand spin class on youtube and did the cycle for 20 mintues. SSOD always plays great music and this one was no different!

I'll have to catch up on personals later - good job everyone!

Just doing hair Debbie, I work at an Aveda salon so it is a natural line so if we do nails it would just be natural
I am loving it and learning so much more there than at school

Today I did a cathe hiit 40/20 and stability ball abs
 
Today I did Lite Cardio Party, 39 minutes, 217 calories, heart rate 133/176, 3,983 steps. I then did Coffey Fit Raw Core Moves, 25 minutes, 78 calories, heart rate 113/146, 211 steps. I finished with Jessica Smith Gentle Yoga chest and back, 22 minutes, 79/129 heart rate, 21 calories, 25 steps
Total time was 86 minutes, 316 calories, 4,219 steps.

Belinda, I didn't notice when I first looked that I was doing the same workout as you ;) I like that one. I wanted another low impact for cardio today. I wonder why the rush to get a new workout series out.

Doreen, you really do take advantage of the streaming services. Do you have to pay for them?

Roselyn, nice work on Cathe Hiit and the abs. The salon I go to whenever I do, which is not often is an Aveda salon. I love Aveda products, but they are rather expensive so I usually use Kenra. I like natural products though. My youngest daughter gets her hair colored at the Aveda Salon all of the time.
 
This morning I felt really good and decided to do RAW Box & Pump 2. Love this workout and the 80's music in it. So fun. I used mostly 8's, 12's and 15's. I don't have time to type out the whole workout right now.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 290 calories, did 3204 steps and HR was 128/158.

Also did Jessica Smith's Total Body Gentle Yoga. I liked it but while doing it I twisted my neck again and now the muscle that goes from my trap down my shoulder blade is hurting again and all knotted up. Unbelievable. I am so sick of this crap. I do good for a few days and then back to pain again. I took an Aleve but it isn't touching it. I will have to heat and ice it again tonight. Sick of doing that too. At least I can turn my head without pain, it is just that muscle that feels twisted again.

Debbie, I can sympathize. The same thing keeps happening to me as well. I feel great today. Even that knot that seemed to have moved is almost gone. My knee feels better. I haven't had problems with my knees for quite awhile. I think I twisted it with some turns in cardio a few days ago and then when I was doing a stretch (I think Kelly) I pushed my knee out further in that lying figure 4 stretch and it did not like it. I really like that Box and Pump workout. The music really adds to it.
 
Debbie, this is crazy what you are going through with the neck and shoulder pain. It has to be Fasha ( spelled wrong ) and it needs to be broken up. I know that you have used the tennis ball, have you ever thought of having a therapist work on it, a massage to break it up? Just a thought. My husband had it so bad years ago he couldn't even get dressed. He had a therapist come to the house weekly for a month and he has never had the problem again.

Today I had a fantastic workout, Cathe Live, Upper Ball Challenge with Ball, minus the ball, I used a bench. Workout #136. Workout was 1 hour and I burned 426 calories. I have noticed that my Fitbit calorie burns are lower since it updated. I see that Diane Sue has had some similar issues with her Fitbit. I have had mine for 2.5 years so I was wondering if I need to get a new one.

Roselyn, Aveda salons are really great, we have some here and I know they are very high end and nice. I am so glad that you are learning a lot and enjoying what you do. I want to go back to school so bad but I don't know if I should do that or not?

Doreen, great job with the workout today. It is nice that you added some spin in there too. I have a spin bike but rarely use it,, my right Knee hurts when I use it. I don't even put my toes in the clips and it still doesn't seem to help. I wish I could use it more, it is a great calorie burn and burns the quads oh so good.

Diane Sue, That zucchini chicken you made sounds delicious. Nice job on the Cardio party workout. How long have you had your Fitbit? I am wondering if I should get a new one or not since mine seems to be running slower.

Belinda, nice job on the Lite Cardio party today and the other workout. Killing it!!!

There is not much to choose from in terms of leases right now so I don't know where we will be going. I am not paying $5000 a month to rent a house. The going rate here for something halfway descent is 5K to 12K a month! Ridiculous I want to downsize, these big houses are too hard to clean by ones self.

Debbie, I just read what I wrote to you and I do not know what it is, it was just a suggestion. I came off sounding like I know, and I don't. Sorry about that. It is a good idea to re read posts so I don't sound like a know it all!!!!!
 
Diane - the SSOD spin I did today was just a free class they put on youtube.

I subscribed to their service once when they were offering 3 months for $30 (normal is about $20 per month). They have tons of really awesome spin classes. And spin and sculpt which are also awesome. But I don't do that much spin and the lifting classes were hit or miss. I like Cathe live's lifting classes better so I haven't re-subscribed to Studio Sweat on Demand.

(Otherwise I try to stick to one streaming service per month)

Jolie- Have you tried focusing on the "pull" cycle of the pedal stroke instead of the "push" to see if that helps the knee pain? When I first started cycling my right knee would hurt too and I heard that tip which is supposed to engage the reflex action of the hamstring and take the pressure off the knee joint from the push action on the down stroke. Just a thought.

Jolie - I would never think anything you tell me is rude or out of line. I know you are only trying to help me. I appreciate that so much with all of you. So don't think twice about it.

Diane - My Fitbit has been showing me lower calorie burns as well since the update. Plus it doesn't know when I go up stairs anymore either. WTH? I hate when they do updates on things.

Belinda - Nice workout today!

Roselyn - I go to an Aveda salon to get my hair stuff, love that place. My cousin cuts my hair so I go to her house for that. So glad you are enjoying your job!

Doreen - It is so cool that youtube has all those cool workouts on it. Looks like a good workout.
