Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for December 2020

This morning I did Cathe Live#325 40/20 Low Impact Hiit, 41 minutes , 127/159 heart rate, 210 calories, 3,458 steps.
Perfect 30 mobility basics stretch premix, 21 minutes, 21 calories, heart rate 80/99, 37 steps. Total time 62 minutes, 231 calories, 3,495. I really liked the Low Impact Hiit. Cathe keeps the intensity up well. There is a short segment midway with gliding discs that can be done without as they are mountain climbers, jacks, and typical moves.

Debbie, I hear instructors tell you all of the time something will get easier and it doesn't happen. Those are tough workouts on the Max Trainer. The Tread Climber is really hard to push through as well. It always seems I get better heart rate when doing the Walk Strong workouts. It really makes no sense when I am doing something really intense and know it should be higher, but I am getting a heart rate part of the time that is the same as it gives for yoga. I had to move my Fitbit several times today because it started out really low, then went up and dropped way back down.

Doreen, both of those workouts are good workouts. I loved the Heavy Bag and Legs workout as well.

Hi everyone,

I went to my appointment with the Audiology went well. No damage or hearing problem from all those ear infections/RP problems I have. I hope it stays that way. My Rheumatologist is running a bunch of base line test for RP. I have a CT scan tomorrow. I pray I have a good outcome too.

I did a short SBF UB/core workout.

Debbie - I bought the Brooks Glycerin 18 like this one https://www.holabirdsports.com/products/brooks-glycerin-18-womens-black-ebony-cornflower. I usually wear asics which come in all kinds of fun colors. My last Asics came in a dark blue. Love them. they go with everything too. I hear you on the color that matches everything. The Honka I bought in black/white. BTW, I wore the Hoka with my insoles when I took a walk yesterday. Ten minutes in, my right foot were killing me. I had to take out the insoles out, my feet felt great. No pain. Not a good idea to put insoles in those shoes.

Diane - I tried to get rid of the Bowflex, DH won't let me, lol. He really likes it. Looks like you already using lighter weights on shoulder. I usually go light on shoulder too. SBF kills my shoulders with lighter weights, high reps. I use 10's with Cathe's. I need some BW leg rehab strengthening exercise. I still have to work my legs. Otherwise they turn into noodles. That's great KCM points out when someone has injuries and needs to modify/workout around it.

Jolie - my DH surgeon told me I still can do squats, do a baby squat instead. You still work your quads withouts hurting your knees. I found a video on YT the guy shows modifications/diffrent exercises you can do for bad knees. I will share the video tomorrow. Hope you get a good night sleep,

Roselyn - are you still doing STS? Great job on GS's.

Doreen - nice job!

Good night.

Today I did Coffey Fit Raw Step and Legs which is one of my favorites. It is so much fun. I tried 17.5 lb the first set of legs and dropped to 15's the rest. 1# dumbbells for the egg weights. Total time 46 minutes, 231 calories, heart rate 125/165, 3,893 steps.

I am in a hurry today. I have to run to the store for things for our family Christmas next weekend at my daughters. It is supposed to snow tomorrow and maybe more this week. It has been around 70 this week, so wierd. I don't want to have to worry about having what I need. Then we have appointments to look at houses.

Belinda, that is good news on the audiology test. Hoping things go well with the CT today. I remember when I did the first workout with upper on the bounce workout of SBF . I thought she was going so light and I used 5# dumbbells. My neck and shoulders hurt so bad after that one. I do not underestimate the work I get from light weights anymore. They work well.

Roselyn, nice work with Gym Styles yesterday.

Hi eveyone,

The CT scan only took less than 10 min. I probably will not get the results until next week. I visit my kids in DC, we had dinner together.

This morning I did SBF Barre 14. It was lower body. I also did a Flexibility/balance workout afterwards.

Diane - thank you. Good luck on the house today. I don't think SB is using 5's in her bounce workouts. I tried a few of her workouts with 5's, they almost killed me. I learned my lessons on her workouts, if she using 3's I am using 3's :)

I am tired, I will catch up on more personals tomorrow.

Good night.

Have a great Sunday.

I felt sort of blah today, not sick blah, just blah blah and my traps are tight a bit so I decided to just walk on my treadmill for a while. Then I wanted to get a good stretch in so I did Karen Voight's Yoga Focus Stretch. Ran out of time so only did half, I may try to do it again tomorrow and get the whole thing in.

Treadmill workout was 30 minutes, burned 192 calories, went 1.43 steps (TM said 1.57, WTH?), did 3588 steps ahd HR was 119/133.

Love that Yoga Stretch workout, I need to get it in a couple times this week. Was thinking of making this a recovery week.

No time for personals but great job to those who worked out this weekend!! Have a great day!!!

I did a GHUTV 45 minute HIIT. 40-30-20. 4 exercises in each grouping that you do for 40 seconds the first round, 30 seconds the 2nd round and 20 seconds the last round. 4 of those groupings. It's a fun format because the last round goes so fast!

Great job everyone!

Debbie- do you just do intervals when you walk on your TM and adjust speed or incline or do you just pick a pace and walk?

Hi, I had a crazy weekend! Saturday my parents came to stay for my moms birthday. I got a walk in before they arrived, 1 hour uphill on the TM, 6.5 incline, 3.2 speed and I burned 638 calories. Then yesterday we had a water main break and we lost power and water for the entire day! I had to just go out and walk, 4 miles of hills and i burned 742 calories. Today I did STS disc # 7, holy crap is this a great workout. I didnt do pushups thank God, but I used 20# DB's for all of the chest presses I did and boy is my chest pumped!!! There were a lot of drop sets and 21's in this workout, my muscles are spent! Workout was about 1 hour, I had to pause to set up for a few exercises and I burned 386 calories. Heart rate was 115/174. My biceps are so sore already.

Debbie, that is how I felt a few weeks ago, I just couldnt get going that is why I had to change it up with he workouts. At least you walked and got a good stretch in today :)

Doreen, nice workout today.

Belinda, wow on our workout today! Did you do all of those pushups? If you did, you are my hero. :)

Roselyn, Nice workout yesterday, I hope you get a good one in today.

Diane Sue, I hope you have a great workout today.

BBL to read your posts. My sons team lost this weekend so they are NOT going to the Championship game but they are going to the Idaho Potato Bowl again and they are playing Tulane. Have a nice day.

This morning I did the same thing as yesterday, walked on my treadmill and did Yoga Focus Stretch. I was actually able to do the whole stretch workout this morning. I really love that one, it loosens up every part of my body when I do it. I am still having some pain in my upper left side and have at least three knots in my shoulder and lower shoulder area. So frustrating and so sick of this. I can't do anything when I feel like this, any type of repetitive movement really bothers it. Stats from my walk is similar to yesterday's so I won't type it out.

Doreen - I just walk at a steady pace, like 3.2 mph and do an incline of 3-4% depending on my HR. I read whatever book I'm reading on my tablet and that makes the time go by fast. Nice job on your workout!

Belinda - Great job with D7!! Love that series, I should do it again soon.

Jolie - Nice job with your workouts and Happy Birthday to your mom! Hope you had fun. Yea, I think I need a bit of a break, plus this pain I'm feeling again isn't helping matters. I wanted to do a couple Max Trainer workouts this week but not sure I will. I'll see how I feel by Thursday and Friday.

Roselyn - Great job on STS!!

Diane - No check in yesterday, hope you are doing well.

Have a great day everyone!!!

This morning I did GHUTV Treadmill Interval Walk for 10 minutes, then did "Dead or Alive" posterier chain workout from #FastPhysique PDF program and then finished with a few minutes of GHUTV cardio Step. The step workout was too basic for my liking but was good for a few extra steps before finishing my workout.

Good morning,

I am pulling out all my JS dvd's. Decided on her 4 mile Power walk. It's really not 4 miles, it was more like 3.5 miles, lol. Anyway got a ton of steps with this one. I will do SBF D16 Christmas Lower = 22 min + Hamstring on Ball = 8 min later.

The ENT called me yesterday to give me the results from my CT scan came back normal, no up normal RP stuff :) I am so happy. The meds seems to work. Although I don't like taking all those meds. She also gave me the Audiology results back, no hearing loss. It's a matter of fact, my hearing is very good compared to people my age.

I have 2 appointments tomorrow. One is with my Rheumatologist. I hope I don't have to cancel do to the snow. We are suppose to get 12 inches or more snow tomorrow.

Jolie - you used 20# for all the push ups? You go girl! I did the push ups modify on my bench. It takes the pressure off my knees. Still got a good burn in my chest. Are you planning on increasing your weight weekly? Or do you just pick up a weight each week?

Diane - feel better my friend.

Debbie - nice job this morning. I should pull out that yoga dvd. Sorry you still having a lot of shoulder/knots problems.

Roselyn - great job on STS yesterday.

Doreen - great job on your TM intervals walk this morning. Chris is one of my favorite instructors.

Have a great day everyone.

Today was cardio and I killed it! I started out with a walk on my TM, uphill for 30 minutes, 6.5 incline, 3.1 speed and traveled 1.5 miles. I burned 308 calories. Next, I ran on the elliptical for 25 minutes!!! I was on hill run the entire time that takes me up hills and on level land, actually I am all over the place and it was fun. I traveled 2.5 miles and burned 323 calories. I cooled down on the TM for 5 minutes, total miles traveled was 4 miles, burned a total of 631 calories. I love having my friend come over and motivate me to keep going, she had time today so she stood next to me calling out what I should be doing and how I should be breathing. I feel so good when I am done, both body and mentally.

Debbie, way to go on the walk and the stretch, do what your body likes and you will get through this again. I am always having to reset, it is crazy. You should look into getting the phasha (miss spelled) broken up by a specialist, there are many that come to your house. You need to get rid of it or it will keep coming back. My chiro works on mine every time I go for an adjustment.

Belinda, nice workout today! I am trying to lift around the same weight in this meso and i will go up in weight in meso 2. If I am using 20's for chest press in Meso 1, I will go up to 25's in Meso 2 because there is less reps. How about you? Nice results from the doctor yesterday!

Doreen, Another great workout you found! Sometimes basic workouts are good just for the calorie burn.

Diane Sue, I hope you feel better, hurry up, the holidays are right around the corner.

Roselyn, I hope you have a nice cardio workout today.

I dont have hardly any Christmas presents bought and it is stressing me out. We already gave our youngest son a snow board trip that he has been on the last four days and we bought a gun for my oldest son, and my husband bought a gun but that is about it. I do like buying one big present instead of a bunch of little dumb

Jolie - I was thinking doing the same as you in M1 and M2. I lift what I can for 15 reps. Traditionally you go up each week in weight. Legs I can't go very heavy due to my knees. I still get a good workout in with 15 reps. I love M2 and 3, I can go heavy on the upper body. Who do you still need a Christmas present for? Looks like you already bought some nice gifts for your son's.
