Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for April 2022!!

Today I did Flex Train. I kinda forgot what this was like. I'm glad I did it. Great upper body and core work, but no lower body weighted work, mainly body weight and discs. That was ok for today, I wanted more of a Metabolic workout anyway. I just didn't feel like an intense weight workout today.

I hope everyone has a nice Easter. Mine will be easy. Just our immediate family and I am doing a brunch, which I am happy about. We will visit my mom after, which is easier than bringing her to my house.

Today I did CDorner Step with songs from Sing 2, first 35 minutes ( kept stopping to answer texts, heart rate was not staying up and she started a new set of moves so I just switched workouts), heart rate was 111/145, 134 calories, 2,222 steps. I the did Kell Coffey Cardio Fit hi/lo only mix, 21 minutes, 92 calories, heart rate 118/155, 1,675 steps. I finished with some of Raw healthy back and pt exercises, 39 minutes, 58 calories, heart rate 77/98, 169 steps. Total time was 95 minutes, 284 calories, 4066 steps.
No workout tomorrow and Monday I will be going to PT. That will be my one day next week. Then I will do the work at home the rest of the week.

Jolie, take care of the knee, I am glad you were still able to get in a walk without making it worse.

Cam, nice work with Flex train. I have pretty much forgotten the moves in that one. Enjoy your time with your family and visit with your mom.

Roselyn, nice work on cardio today.

Happy Easter,

Today DH and I did Iron Biceps & back. Had an awesome workout. We also took Sadie for a nice walk, she was mostly in her stroller, lol.

Hope you all enjoy your Easter. Ours is quit.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter, ours was really good and we had fun at my mom's. Lots of laughing which is what my DH and his brother needed, so it was really nice. Ate WAY too much, though, and I seriously need to start watching what I eat. It's been way out of control.

This morning I did RAW Heavy Bag & Shadow Boxing - this is the one Kelly does with her son, Zach. I love this workout and the music is awesome, it also has an ab section at the end.

Workout was 39 minutes, burned 378 calories, did 3032 steps and HR was 147/181.

I also did the leg portion of RAW Athletic Stretch. My knee is still really bothering me, I may go get an xray today, I'll see how much time I have after I do all my errands I have to do today. If I don't get it done today, I'll do it for sure tomorrow.

We bought a new refrigerator this weekend, it's an anniversary present for us - It's a WHirlpool French Door fridge and it's beautiful!! The one I have at home is so small and I'm sick of fighting to get stuff put in it. I cook a lot so we have a lot of food in our fridge and I just wanted something bigger. We pick it up this coming weekend, can't wait!!!

I have a lot of errands to run this morning and the weather is supposed to turn to crap so I need to get moving. Hope you all have a great workout today!!!

I did Day 9, Total Body of the John Peel Built Strong Series on Ifit this morning. Nothing too crazy in the workout.

My dog has a death wish..... yesterday my husband put a bag of garbage in the garage (not in the can) and the dog pushed through the doggie door (which was closed and latched) to get in there and ate a bunch of stuff..... when I caught him I saw grapes in the garbage! Those are supposed to be toxic to dogs so I immediately gave him hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting. I've never done it before but my sister has labs and said she's had to do it several times. So far he seems ok!! But what a way to start an Easter - yuck.

I forgot to post my workout yesterday. I got in my 10 miles over the weekend, yesterday I walked at the beach with my husband 5.8 miles, time was 1 hour and 56 minutes and burned 922 calories. It was so beautiful and sunny for Easter, there was a Sunrise Service on the beach, what a lovely setting for an Easter service to be held. I did not know about it, or I would have gone. They had white chairs set up all over the beach with potted Easter Lilys all over and a stage set up that over looked the ocean. Also, there was the most beautiful music being played live, absolutely beautiful. Next year I want to attend the service, it is an early one but worth it. Today will be a rest day and tomorrow I have a total upper body workout planned. My mom is coming for a visit for a few days so I am not sure if I will have time to workout but I will on Friday and the weekend. My body is sore and tired so a few rest days won't hurt.

Debbie, great job on the workout today. I am curious to see what your X-ray shows about your knee. Mine is a little sore but I know it is my kneecap out of place. It is much better today but it still feels like it is rubbing on the tendons below it. I just got a GE Cafe 4 door refrigerator last fall and love it. I got the biggest on they have because I too cook a lot and need a lot of room.

Belinda, great job on the workout and the walk with Sadie. I push my dog around too, he loves it!

Doreen, my dog eats grapes all of the time, nothing happens to him. If one falls on the floor, he gets it so fast there is no way to get it from him. Nice job on the workout.

Diane Sue, good luck at PT today.

Roselyn, great job with the workouts lately! Do you like this rotation?

Cam, my Easter was low key too, just the way I like it. Nice job on the Flex Train workout, it has been a while since I have done those workouts.

Make it a great day!

Jolie - Great workouts - that beach service sounds lovely! And good to hear about the grapes!! But when he emptied his stomach I remembered we had wings Saturday (eww- gross) and those bones would have probably been worse than the grapes so probably a good thing I did it!

Worked a long day today, so worked out late. Did Tracy Steen 40 min. Killer Leg Circuit it was great leg burner. I had a nice Easter. I planned to workout last night but never got to it. Enjoyed a relaxing day.

We have a coyote that seems to be taking up residence in our marsh. Not good. Yesterday 5 deer walked right by it and there was a litte stir but the coyote didn't attack. This morning it was closer to the house. We are afraid Daisy will chase after it. DH said she didn't see it today. I hope its not making a den.

Good workouts everyone! Hopefully i will get some good workouts in this week.

This morning I did Workout 2 from the KCM Box Fit workout. I did this one last week, such a good and fun workout, it goes by fast.

Each move is 30 seconds with a 3 second rest - this workout took a little longer for me because my mom called.

Repeat

Single Arm Overhead Extensions: 8#
Double Arm Kickbacks: 5's
Slalom Squats: BW (fun and doable for me!)
Repeat

Alternate Hammer Curls: 12's
Double Arm Supinated Curls: 12's
Front Curls: 12's
Deads/Squats: 12's (I only did deadlifts)

Standing Lateral Raise: 8's
Upright Rows: 8's
Front/Back Lunges: (I did pushups off my step)
Repeat

Alternate Chest Press: 12's
Bridges: (did crunches instead)
Repeat

Weighted Crunch: 8#
Weighted Situps: 8#
Russian Twist: 8#
Explosive Situps: BW
Repeat

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 318 calories, did 822 steps and HR was 119/144.

I'm getting my knee x-rayed today. Weather is horrible here, though, snow and icy rain, sort of don't want to go out.

Belinda - I am looking forward to getting my new fridge!! I've never owned one like that in my life. Great job with the Iron series so far!! You are killing it!

Doreen - OMG about your dog!! That must have been horrible!! Hope he is doing ok.

Jolie - That service on the beach sounds amazing! I would have loved to join that. What a perfect place to have Easter service. Nice job on your walks this past weekend, wow, you did a lot!!

Roselyn - Great job on Iron legs yesterday! Wish I could do a leg workout, I want to so bad.

Cam - OMG about the coyote!! You might want to call animal control, they should probably kill it or at least get it out of your area. Scary stuff, keep a close eye on your dog. I'm sure you will!! It only takes a second for them to go running outside, though. Wow!!

Roxie - Hope all is well, have you found a job yet?

Diane - Hope you are doing good and healing fast!!

Have a great workout everyone! Off to get my x-ray!

Cam- that's not good if a coyote is around. We have them around here in the creek bottoms and open areas becasue there are so many deer and they scare me because they have no fear!

Belinda- good work with IRON series - I'm going to check it out. I never thought I'd say this but 30 minutes feels really good right now.

Today I did a ride on Ifit and finished up the Colorado Mountain Town series with a nice ride near Crested Butte with lots of cool wild flowers and aspen trees. It looks like a good one to put on my list to go and ride.

Today I did Tracy 50 min. Upper Body Super sets w/Cardio intervals. One of my favorites of hers. Starting to see definition in my abs. So happy! I have cut carbs, certain dairies and sweets. I think its paying off.

Well, no sign of the coyote today. Hopefully he has moved on. We live in a conservancy on 4 acres. Half is wetlands, so a lot of wildlife in our neighborhood. Turkey, cranes, deer and coyotes all around us. My Lab likes to explore and we are always outside with her and watch her pretty closely, but you just never know what could happen.

Belinda and Roselyn, you both are doing the same Caroline workouts. Great job!

Debbie, glad you are feeling better and getting your knee checked. Hope you are enjoying your week off. This weather has sucked. About to walk my dog. It's somewhat sunny today and calm for a change. We had snow yesterday.

Take care everyone!

Finished the Built Strong Series by John Peel on IFit today. Probably won't repeat it but I did like the band work that he incorporated.

Amazing how my HR is up higher with this watch but my resting HR is the same as what my FB showed - 45-48. I really like this Garmin watch.

I had my knee x-rayed yesterday and I have to wait for my results. I should get them tomorrow. Tomorrow is the funeral for my brother-in-law, he was cremated and will be buried in a veterans park which I hear is beautiful. Not looking forward to tomorrow at all, though. :(

Have a great day everyone!!!

I got my test results back, it shows no acute fracture or malalignment. Joint spaces are well preserved. No significant knee joint effusion. Soft tissues are unremarkable.

So what the heck? Must be a tendon or muscle. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor to see what the next steps are. Maybe just PT?
