Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for April 2022!!

Today I did PT and when I came home I did Perfect 30 Flow Yoga Strength and Flexibility, 30 minutes, 53 calories, heart rate 81/96. The PT had me use a Body Blade putting my arm straight out and pulse/ bounce it for 3 sets of 30 seconds. That was tough. He says it works a lot of tiny ligaments and stuff. He has been working on some of those endurance points. I had to go look at the Body Blade on Amazon today. Interesting workout tool.

Belinda, nice work on the Iron series today.

Debbie, I hope that you hear something soon. I do not think I have done Slim Sculpt Raw before. I have the dvd that is kettlebell work swings and strength. I like the premixes.

Doreen, I am sure your dog was having fun too. I used mine on Saturday as a pillow for my neck when doing abs. She likes it when I am on the floor for yoga or abs.

Good Evening,

I did BeachBody Job1 WK2 D1 Chest Core & Legs then Job1 20 Minute Sweat Session on the bike then I met my oldest DD at the gym in her town for an hour walk on the treadmill. I had to go where my youngest DD lives to pick up one GS from school and the other one from track practice because their other grandparents had to leave town for a funeral. I get to do it all again Thursday she lives an hour away.

Today I did Michelle Briehler 40 min Muscle Building Full Body Strength. It was pretty good and complete.

Debbie, glad you are getting your knee checked out.

Diane, you are really progressing.

Belinda, I didn't think Caroline was creating new workouts so soon. Sounds like a good one.

Good workouts everyone!

This morning I did RAW Shadow Boxing 1 which is from a while ago. Good workout, it is slow and controlled. I used my 2# weights in each hand. I want to do different cardio but with my knee the way it is, I can't. Kickboxing is the only thing I seem to be able to do right now. That and walk on my treadmill. I tried getting on my Max Trainer this morning to see if that would bother my knee and I couldn't even push the pedal down to get it started. :( I need to do more higher intensity workouts, these cardio workouts I'm doing aren't very "cardio".

Anyways, workout was 40 minutes, burned 404 calories, did 3859 steps and HR was149/171. I'm still not so sure I'm burning that many calories, but maybe. Even when I was running back in the day I never seemed to hit 400 calories. I'll take it, I just question how accurate it really is?

Diane - I checked out the Body Blade, interesting. So cool that they are having you use it. I'm impressed with your PT, they are really doing a good job to help with your recovery.

Roxie - Wow, nice workout yesterday! You did a lot. Did you subscribe to Beach Body? How do you like that series you are doing?

Cam - I tried to make an appointment yesterday for my knee, they said I needed an order from my family doctor. Really? Geez. So I am going to email her and see if she might just write one up for me. I bet she doesn't, though, unless I go see her. Good job with your workout, sounded like a good one.

Roselyn - Nice job with your workout, I'll have to check out the Iron series. I just never really clicked with Caroline, although her workouts are really good.

Doreen - I used to have issues with my cat when I would do yoga or abs or anything like that. He used to come and rub his head all over me. LOL! For some reason he hasn't done that in a long time. Probably because I would bat him away. I love him, but it's annoying sometimes.

Jolie - Hope you had a good rest day yesterday!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning,

IRON Series 30 Min Upper Body Workout - Shoulders, Back, Chest | 2 day is done.

Roselyn - you doing the Iron series too. Great job! It does remind of Body Beast too..

Debbie - my heart goes out to you and your family (((HUGS)))

Diane - great job yesterday.

Doreen - I like Iron Series. Great job yesterday.

Roxie - nice job yesterday.

Jolie - I hope you had a great day yesterday.

Have a great day, everyone.

I did my first Live ride on Ifit this morning because it was Toby Massenburg. Wow- I remember him from some really old workout DVDs . It was fun but to really enjoy I think you have to have friends and follow and race them on the leaderboard. You can send in chats that Toby will call out during the workout - like one rider texted it was her birthday so Toby and everybody wished her HB.

I forgot to check in yesterday with my workout. I did a TM walk uphill 40 minutes, traveled 2.2 miles and burned 389 calories. Today I did P90X Back and Biceps and had a fantastic workout. I love these workouts so much; I love the pace and I love that I pick a rep count that is good for me. A lot of people have said that Tony bugs them, but not me, I think he is so funny, and I love that he shows so many options not just the hardest one. Workout was 55 minutes, and it included a great stretch at the end. I burned 321 calories. I think trainers should put a stretch at the end of each workout, then I would not forget to do a good one. I am getting my strength back each week so that makes me happy. I am back to lifting 15# DB's for bicep curls again and 20#'s for 1 arm rows. I had to modify bent over rows, that would absolutely kill my back so I did a cable row instead or I get on my rowing machine on the highest resistance.

Tomorrow is my rest day, I am going to the Chiro for my check up and I have to say, I feel great. I am going to have her look at my toe, I think it is out of alignment, other than that this girl is BACK!!!

Debbie, sorry that your knee is hurting so much, you should speak to your PT person and see if they can muscle test you to figure out what is the problem. Nice job on the workout today and the calorie burn! I am going to start writing down my workouts and posting them but don't laugh at my weight selection LOL!

Cam, great job on the workout yesterday!

Diane Sue, way to go on the PT and your own workouts lately!!!

Roselyn, I bet you will love the new series from Caroline Girvan!

Doreen, I used to do Toby's workouts back in the day, but they were a little
to high of impact for me. I bet the workout today was great!

Belinda, I hope that you are feeling better from your vaccine and great job on the workout!

Roxie, way to go on the workout and the TM walk!!

Make it a great day.

Debbie, Aortic Aneurysm's can kill you in a matter of minutes, usually before help can get to you. It looks like a heart attack so it can be confusing. I just had that test done at Life Line Screening, along with many others because doctors do not test for it unless you have symptoms. However, when you have the symptom, it is too late. I recommend everyone getting test for these types of things, do it on your own, it is minimal money to do so and gives you total piece of mind. I am sorry for your loss, what a terrible thing to happen to such a young man. Prayers for his entire family.

Good Afternoon,

Debbie-I have been subscribed to BeachBody for years and the workouts are only 20 minutes so I don’t get that much of a burn from them, right now I am just trying to get back into working out. The workouts I want to do they made them part of Bodi which is separate from BeachBody ondemand.

This morning I did a quick walk on my treadmill because I had to be at work by 7:30. Workout was 30 minutes, burned 137 calories (used the "walk indoors" mode on my Garmin), went 1.53 miles, did 3743 steps and HR was 74/85. Walked on a 4% incline and worked up a good sweat.

I guess my doctor's office does x-rays so I will go there when I'm off for spring break and get my knee looked at. She said it sounded like cartilage and said I might need an MRI. We'll see. She also said I might have to go to PT for a while which is ok with me. I love my PT lady. So we'll see. I purchased the Vital Proteins Marine Collagen to see if it helps. I've been purchasing an off brand and wondering if that has stopped my cartilage buildup. If the pain is gone by spring break, I'll know it was that. I took it today and I can't believe how great it dissolved in water. The other brand always had huge gloppy clumps in it. The Vital Proteins is so expensive, though, and only has 18 servings. I need to keep an eye out for sales, maybe at Costco's?

Belinda - I just noticed you are doing the Iron series too. Is it any different than her Epic series? Are the workouts along the same lines as the other series? I'll have to check them out. Great job with your workout!

Jolie - Yes, I am very aware of aortic issues. Not sure my BIL had that, though. I have Aortic Bicuspid disorder and have to have a sonogram every 3 years. My DH and I were speculating that maybe the booster shot he had not long ago had anything to do with this. When I read our daily paper, I can't believe how many 45-65 year old people who are dying. I've never seen that before and it is scary. I worry about my own brother because he had the first two shots. Actually, that is a good idea, I might go see my PT first. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Nice job on your workout, I loved the P90X series, I should look at those workouts again and maybe do them.

Roxie - I didn't know you subscribed to BB, I remember you saying you were thinking about it. I loved one of the series I did on there with Belinda, can't remember the name but it was a good one. I just find it way too expensive to subscribe to when I didn't use it all that much.

Doreen - Nice workout!

Diane - How are things? I hope you are doing good. I know you worked out yesterday, you must not have had time to post. Nice job with those workouts, by the way!! So glad to see you back in the workout game.

Roselyn - Hope you are well.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning,

Iron series day 4 LB is done. My glutes are fried.

Debbie - the difference between Epic and Iron is she goes heavier, slow and controlled. Each exercise you do 60 seconds per exercise with 30 seconds rest inbetween. They all 30 min. I can go as heavy or as light as I want to go. The exercises are very similar to epic. Nice job this morning.

BBL

I did Day 5 of Built Strong with John Peel - lower body this morning. I was going to skip - I slept horrible last night and have been dragging all week. So I hit my alarm off and was just going to try to go back to sleep but couldn't and decided to just do 20 mintues. Which was fine by me.

BTW- all the close street parking near the office was full this morning so I had to park several blocks away and was so happy to have my scooter and just zip along those blocks to the office!!

Good Morning,

I did BeachBody Job1 WK2 D2 HiiT It. I was also going to go a spin but my stomach starting cramping during the night and it’s still cramp today. I have to get a root canal this afternoon. DH got his PSA checked again and it’s still dropping so I believe the prostrate cancer threat is over thank god.

Debbie-those are the only workouts I have ever done besides KCM I don’t use her subscription a whole lot and I also have Cathe but only used it once and would like to cancel but can’t figure out how. I was a coach for BeachBody at one time but cancelled it a couple of months ago.

Today I did DC Fit Full Body Strength & Cardio. 4 circuits of 4 exercises, repeated 3x. I really liked it and every muscle got worked. I hope she gets more subscribers. She doesn't do the "whooing" anymore and has a calmer demeanor. I really am enjoying some of her workouts.

Good workouts everyone! It's a busy week, but I am trying to get my workouts in.

Have a good night!

Workout was 48 minutes, burned 352 calories, did 591 steps and HR WAS 124/159. I am impressed with this Garmin. It does seem to be keeping pretty good track of my HR. When I used to wear my FB, any floor work would make my HR crash down to the 80 bpm range if not lower but I would be working hard and my HR was higher than that. This Garmin keeps track of HR even while laying on the floor. And when I did plank work, my HR wasn't up that high and the Garmin reflected that. So I am happy with this device.

I don't have time for personals today, very busy at work. Great job with your workouts yesterday!

Today it is hot outside and very low humidity. I went for a walk outside, too late in the day I might add, and boy was it tuff stuff with the temps as high as there were, 90 degrees by the time I got home. Thank god I had enough water on me today. Walk was 1 hour 29 minutes, traveled 4.6 miles and burned 741 calories. I had to stop several times in the shade to cool down it was that hot out. Tomorrow I need to start my workout earlier so it is bearable. I got some new shoes, same as last time and they felt amazing.

Debbie, great job on the weight workout today! I am sure your doctor will get to the bottom of your knee issue, especially if you get an MRI. My husband has an employee that is having heart issues after getting the two vaccinations and was told not to get anymore going forward, she told him that they are seeing too many heart issues arising now and to avoid getting vaccinated if you are in good health. If doctors are starting to say these kinds of things about the vaccine, you know it is very bad for us! I am going to try that Collagen that you ordered, I want something that dissolves good in my drink.

Doreen, the scooter comes to the rescue!

Roxie, great news about your husband and his prostate cancer issue!

Cam, great job on the workout yesterday!

BBL to read the posts for the day.

This morning I did a Trail climb with Ryan Petry on IFIT near Crested Butte Colorado. Beautiful trail - I would like to go do it some day!

It has been a busy week and one night I called my brother and we talked for a couple of hours catching up. I realized when Debbie was talking about what has happened to her brother in law that I had not heard from my brother since we moved here a year ago. We generally talked more often and kept up some on facebook, but I do not have facebook anymore. I really enjoyed out visit. I keep getting to bed at 1 am o_O
Yesterday I had a set time to talk to a close friend in Arizona and we talked for 3 hours. So, I missed a lot of what I would have done on the computer, but it is well worth it.

Tuesday I did CDorner Fun Cardio all standing aerobic High or Low, 40 minutes, heart rate 143/175, 251 calories, 4,006 steps. I then did Boss Bands Total Body mix, legs, glutes and core, 28 minutes, heart rate 109/145, 103 calories, 2,565 steps. Total time was 68 minutes, 354 calories, 4,262 steps.
Wednesday was PT. I asked him how long before I would maybe be able to do planks and he said around 6 months and I would probably fatigue quickly till I build strength there. Today I did CDorner Fast Basic Step Aerobics 138bpm and also a Raw warm up added, 51 minutes, heart rate 122/154, 225 calories, 4,552 steps. I also did CDorner Full Body Stretch and Mobility for tight muscles from April 5th, 31 minutes, 64 calories,100 steps. I liked this one as I could do almost all of it and there was only a brief segment that I had to modify. It is more movement based. Total time was 82 minutes, 289 calories, 4,652 steps. I enjoyed both of these workouts and not a problem at all with moves on the cardio. Kelly's Cardio Fit arrived today. I will check out the premix formats. I have PT tomorrow. Next week a lot going on again. I keep putting off making the rest of the appointments I need to get set up. I would like some free time.

Roxie, nice work with the Beach Body Workouts. I used to do a lot of picking up grandchildren from one area to another. It made for some long days. I did enjoy the time when we chatted while I was driving. That is good news for your husband.

Cam, nice work with Michelle Briehler and today's workout with DC Fit weights and cardio.

Roselyn, nice work with Carolyn Girvin's Iron workout.

Debbie, nice work with the boxing workout and todays walk on the treadmill. I am sorry that your knees are bothering like that. For some reason I thought that people could just go to a PT without being sent by a doctor. I may be wrong though. I heard my PT talking to his assistant about doing a separate charge for people that only want to come in for having dry needling done. So, I thought maybe they do it without a doctors prescription. The Body Blade has some interesting exercises and looks like it would be some good workout moves. I did it again yesterday and could barely get through the last 30 second set.
My PT is excellent and really listens and pays attention to shortcomings and areas and angles. I made a great choice and will use him anytime I need one. Some insurance requires an x-ray before they will authorize an mri anyway. At least that was what happened with my torn miniscus and the hmo I had.
My Garmin is like that as well. I love my Garmin.

Doreen, nice work with Day 5 strength with John Peel. I bet you were happy to have the scooter for sure.
Belinda, nice work with Iron day lower body day 5. I hope that you are feeling better.

Jolie, I hope the Chiropractor was helpful today. Nice work increasing the weights. That is sad that there a people that young having heart problems after getting the vaccines. It worries me for my loved ones and friends that got it. I hope the numbers with heart trouble does not grow.
