Getting Our Licks In!

Springtime in the mid-Atlantic--at least for one more day. It was a bit humid and warm this morning so Ripken was huffing and puffing through our walk. I cut the length by about a third--not too bad. Did All out Low Impact HIIT this morning premix 2. Starting the third week of the 30 day rotation.

Janie: You crack me up. I'm glad you are going to eat clean the rest of the month but you realize there is only one more day in January LOL! You really should have reached for the weights rather than the food. I hope your GERD doesn't act up. But, I am glad that your daughter called.

ReneeP: Don't give up. First, it is only one pound. Two, a person's weight fluctuates all the time. Don't get discouraged. I have seen a change while you have been doing this rotation: You have been much happier in your posts of late and you have been so dedicated and committed. So don't say you are not experiencing any changes because I really believe that you are. I'm also going to tell you the same thing that I tell my sister: the weight didn't get there overnight or over one month, it took time and it will take time for it to go away and the only way that is going to happen is if you stick to eating healthy and exercising. I also tell my sister that the last 20 or so pounds is the hardest to lose because it has been with you the longest. It likes you and doesn't want to leave--DON'T make it easy for it to stay. Now--back to XTRAIN!

I have to tell you guys--I love our group--your mood-swing posts really made me laugh today--and I mean that in a good way.

I know what you mean about the weather it was so nice here today, now it is getting ready to storm!!! I hope Ripken had recovered! YOu Did All out Low Impact HIIT this morning and you went for a walk? That is great Michelle!! I hope you are still liking the 30 day rotation. Alot of people are saying they are bored already with the 90 day one because it is repeatitive for the first four weeks, and ya it is but i figure how will you know if you are making progress on strength if you dont do the same ones at least once a wekk, and i get to add on tabatas and supercuts soon, i didnt do them yet on purpose, I KNEW i would get bored if i did. So i have that to look forward to.. How is the 30 day one for you so far?


Janie, That is so funny that Michelle said that! I didnt even notice, i was being such a negitive nellie this afternoon lol there is only one more day in January!!! HA HA and she is right you should have been reaching for those weights my lady!!! :( I am also very glad she finaly called you.. :) I know how it feels believe me!! Soon my oldest is going to be mad at me and well it is just time to get tuff on mine, my youngest wants to move in yet again, and my oldest is 24 still sitting her no job he lost his again two months ago. So we have decided we are allowing the boys to stay here BUT they will have a deadline, we are giving them so many months to save money, and get there own place.. eeek I hate it, but really how else will they grow up? IM sure ill be alone and they will be mad, but family meeting thursday, ill let you all know how that goes.
See one is addictied to games and spends money on that the other i know spends his mony on partying again, and can not keep enabling them this way, So what time they are here i am cutting the internet off while he is home so he cant play his games, boy that is gona go over good, I tried to cut it down on him and it just still isnt doing good. Just wish me luck because i am too soft hearted i need to get harder.

You are right MIchelle I have been feeling better! But i guess i was thinking it was going to do some great thing, but i have to be realistic. It sure didnt get there over night.. I hope i wasnt to to to negitive before!!! I do not like being a debbie downer or anything like that, but i guess depression does show, even in posts lol oops. Today you are right i had a BIG mood swings and it was funny! i was even laughing at us when i was exercising! I telll you what you ladies are somthing i have no one here to talk to and it is so nice to get on here and vent away! Me and Janie both was not doing well and now we are fine lol.. When i was exericing you should have heard me talking to myself a lot of negitive things the id counter that with postive, on and on til i finaly was finished and felt great and said yah that is why i just DO IT!! LOL :eek:

LAURA!!! Where oh where are you sunshine??!! I miss hearing from you, i know you have been going though some stuff and i sure hope you are okay!!
 
Tonight was STS HiiT 30/30. This is one of my most favorites of all!

Apologies from the last post to all of you. This is what happens when you mess up your eating habits. Emotionally and physically not well. Sorry guys.:eek: It's over now and I'm feeling great. I ate perfect today and all that poor poor me stuff is gone now. Geesh, that was awful! I really do have a great daughter, we are different in many ways, but we are good.

Monday taught my two classes, Pilates and Total Tone'

Tuesday I taught my normals two classes, Pilates and Barre Fusion and also subbed a morning cardio class

Wednesday was a day off

and today seems to be a day off as well...I am really tired and depressed ...I keep wondering if working out would make me feel better but I am so bone tired I don't know...Cardio Leg Blast is on the dock and I know that I don't have it in me to do that, tomorrow is Hard Strikes so I might just motivate and do that instead and legs tomorrow but As it's about dinner time it most likely just be two rest days in a row.....
 
JANIE DONT feel like a fool u had reason to feel that wayy and felt safe to share and im glad u did.....cause it keeps me from feeling foolish tee hee!! I hope we can vent and fuss if we need to. Like i said i have none here that will listen.

Lauura hi! I was wondering where u had been! Listen im surre u are umder alot of stress so if u need two days do two days sounds like u have been busy and stressed so hmm does stress burn calories? Not sure but i know it wares u out!

Did some stretches tonight for preparing to work hard tomorrow. I'm ready!

Laura, Great job on teaching your classes, Pilates and Barre Fusion and subbing a cardio class. Glad to see you using your rest days. Also for today's rest. Sometimes listening to your body and changing things around pays off big time. You did good.

Friday--into work early this morning for a meeting at the Pentagon, so today is a break day. Yesterday was XTRAIN Legs and then I did 30 minutes of light exercise with one of my work colleagues. Technically, she is my boss, but when you work in an organization of Ph.Ds., managment is more like herding cats. Fortunately, I work on a great team. Anyway--like snow here this morning. Really just a dusting. By the time I go over to the Pentagon, it will be almost gone. The roads are almost dry--so it was really a non-event. So, sister and I decided not to do the roadtrip this year. Sister has a music festival that she wants to attend that weekend and I'm okay with taking a break. Kind of glad we missed dealing with their server crashing. It's a nerve-racking registration process until you know that you are in.

Janie: you are being a big silly. No need to feel bad about your rave earlier this week. I can appreciate how you felt about your daughter not calling. I personally feel that adult children who do not live near their parents and are able to see them every week should call their parents regularly. And by regularly, I mean at least once a week. My DH's son lives 15 minutes away--he doesn't spend time with his dad or call. It really hurts my DH's feelings. I talked to the boy (he is in his 40s) once about it and got nowhere. The son feels that his father ought to be calling him instead--UGH! Talk about having no sense of what is proper. So, I totally get your despair over your daughter not calling.

ReneeP: you are not being mean by imposing limits on your adult children who have boomeranged back to your household. I have a friend here at work who had her oldest daughter and then son move back home between college/technical school, getting a job, and then becoming self-sufficient to the point of moving out. They made each one develop a plan to employment and then to self-sufficiency. This included limiting their privileges at home until they found a job, making them set up a budget to include putting money in a savings account, and not deviating from the "agreement" that the parents and each child put into writing. They have been pretty hard-nosed about sticking to the plan for each child and quite frankly it worked for the daughter (who now is on her own) and it is working for their son. In the long run, by setting rules and sticking to them, you are helping your sons not hindering/hurting them.

Laura: good to have you back; sorry to hear that you are still struggling with the wintertime blues. Have you been skiing or hiking lately? Seems to me that you are missing your normal outside, wintertime activities. Maybe that is affecting you?

Used the spin bike for about 30 min. Sweated and turned beet red. Gota love it.

Michelle, Yep, you do understand then what I'm going through. Thank you for encouraging me. Great job on yesterday's XTrain legs and then 30 min. of light exercise with a colleagues. Your weather seems to be cooperating. I'm going to miss the first hand reviews on the RD form you. Sometimes it's good to take a break.

Supposed to get snow sometime today. It sure does look and feel like it could snow. Been taking short walks with Ripken. He wants to go for longer walks but it is just too cold--somebody has to be the mommy and I guess that is me. Did Tabatasize premix 12 today. Sister has opted to do 4DS this week; she felt like the 30 day XTRAIN was too repetitive. I supposed it is but good golly my muscles are feeling these exercises like crazy. So, I'm sticking with it. Only a week and half left to the rotation--I've stuck with it so far, at this point I want to see if I can survive another 10 days!

Janie: Gosh, now you've got me thinking that maybe if Cathe posts a February rotation and I like the looks of it that I will flip to it. Of course, I could always start it mid month. Hope you enjoyed your workout today.

Where are Renee and Laura? Hope ya'll are doing well.

Hey all oh my i been reading and posting..i didnt post here? Thats strange!
Gosh lets see janie,another nice pic. Thats good ur spining... I,need,a new seat on mine.
I did tabata yesterday.. I only did 1 2 n core man i wonder if ill ever make it to five!

Today is hard strikes and ill do that as soon as this stupid headache goes away.. Tomorrow on rotation is suupercuts! Cant, wait! I havnt tried it yet.. Oh yes tomorrrow will b last day for week 5. Tuesday is week 6 ! I cant believe im still doing it. I decided it doesnt maatter right now if ii lose.. I told myself i at least want to finish and that is my goal this go around.
 
Did Aerobic Yoga tonight. Haven't done that one for a million years. Felt so right.

Michelle, Did you get snow today? Wonderful for taking walks with Ripken. Great job on Tabatasize premix12. Good for with 30 day XTrain roatation. You are doing so well.

ReneeP, Great job on HS. Did your headache go away? You are dong so so good!

Hi Janie, what is aerobic yoga? Who instructs? ya it went away. I waited a little but then had to at least try. I know with me headache MIGHT be sinus related or tension and in either case a sweaty workout helps, so i had to try. I always tjink it will help or make it worse. If i dont try then it gets worse regardless. So i try to exercise to open up airways and blood circulation and ease tension. Sometimes if i do it it getz worse and starts pounding but it is worth a try. Like i said all headaches end up pounding and getting worse if i dont exercise. But last night it helped.
I ordered les mils combat you guys, im gonna try to tac a cardio from.them in after i finish rotation im thinking of doind it again but add a few combats in with weight training days if my body lets me.
Thanks for engouragement! Im surprised myself! Lol but im glad i get to try one i havnt done yrt! Supercuts... I hope i like it!

Today is a rest day, will get back at it and do either the Intermediate rotation or Dec. 2012 rotation. Haven't decided yet. Big difference I know.

Aerobic yoga is a very old VHA tape that hubby made into a DVD for me. You can't buy it anywhere anymore. Sometimes oldies are still goodies. You seem to have a good plan going to help with your headaches. Bless your heart.

Im going to stay on track and once im finished it will be april.. So i will look at what Cathe had for feb, march and April as a rotation. Should be rwally good. Id love to see one with xtrain, to the max a couple lis and a few old step dvd!

Today is,reat day but im at work bord and no patients are sched today! But she wants me here to answer the phone on both times it may ring ...get it? Lol it only rings,maybe two times all day long on days like this. I may do yoga to beat the bordom..
Hey i changed my advitar again to my other dog i keep telling u guys has ripkens personality it seems r Duke is about 13 if i remember correctly, and he is so smart and sweet. He really will wine at you if u dont pay attention to u. And for hugs he puts his whole head btween ur legs and presses on you while u bend over and hug him and stroke him lol. If u dont let him he will cry... Really. Tjis is the one that puts his paw in the gate and pulls it to him,and runs out lol so smart!
 
No workout today--another really early day--up at 4 am and into work by 6 am, meeting at the Pentagon at 10 and then down the road to Quantico at noon for the rest of the day. Will be an early bedtime for me tonight.

ReneeP: Your pup looks like a real love-puppy. Retrievers just get better with age. The older they get the more love they give and of course, the more they want. Win-win situation as far as I am concerned. Hope your day picks up a work tomorrow.

Janie: I have not checked to see if Cathe posted a February rotation. But really--any Cathe rotation will do the trick.

I am pooping out, so I am going to sign off and be back tomorrow.

So grateful Cathe will be doing a Feb. rotation. I started it today and did XTrain Tabatacise prem1 minus the core work. 20 min.

i am to do legs today and i will i just have to make myself, i will do it i just feel drained, so if i still fell drained in an hour i wont do it lol
