Getting Our Licks In!

Today i am going tto try and get HS done. Not sure yet it is supose to b rest day but i had a rest on sat when i was supose to do HS so i want to get it in to be caught up.
Michelle you are doing great! When i do the ball roll ins i use both legs the whole time. I cant do one leg but i think it is an improvement because i couldnt do them at all in gym stylss if u can remember my body was rolling more then the ball. So im happy with where i am now.. Hope one day the workouts will be easier later.

Today was AOLI plus burn Sets Back. Heavily modified. Couldn't help it.

Laura, My elbow is doing really a lot better. Still can't pick up even med. weight yet with that arm, but I'm working on it. I have confidence it will get better and better as time goes along. Hope you enjoyed your Fri and Sat rest days. Life has a way of getting you so busy to do what you want to do. Hope you will successfully sort out things with hubby's work. Great job on legs even when it felt harder. Love your attitude about missing workouts every now and then.

Michelle, Great job on yesterdays AOLI Hitt and burn set chest. And for this mornings XTrain legs and rear delts. I was a little out of sorts today. Hmmm, is it a full moon? Enjoy the workout with your co workers this evening.

ReneeP, How was HS today?

Take care ladies,

Janie

Imax 3 pm step only 31 minutes then legs pm of standing ball and chair premix 39 minutes. Dare i say imax 3 step only premix is easy. I am adraid to do the blast lol i missed step so i did this first then legs to kill my craving for step. I did sweat some but not to much. The legs i still cant do all reps but i make sure i tac on a few more each time. Eeek.

Tonight was Burn Set Chest and Triceps Plus XTrain Bonus Abs One. "OUCH"!

ReneeP, Great job on Imax step for 31 min. and leg standing ball and chair prem for 39 min. You seem to be improving. Good for you.

Take care,

Janie

Tonight was Supercuts. I didn't do Bicep work. My arm is feeling touchy. Wow the core work is all I could do but watch in amazement. I hope someday I can do them.

Take care ladies,

Janie

I guess im improving but its slow going i think. Only a couple yrs ago i was jogging at a 10 min mile pacce. Til injuries stress fracture it seems so long i was out of commission and i went jogging yesterday i was only doing a 12 mm pace. Eek. So frustrating. On a better hand i have upped my weight for a few exercises. Oh well it is getting there! Thanks!
Hope u get aa wo in today. Today is tabata i think

Hi everyone. Back from a busy workout. Without looking, I cannot remember the last day I checked in. I'm thinking it was earlier in the week. This is the last day of the 30-day XTRAIN rotation for me. At the two week mark, I did hit the "boy this is repetitive factor" but I have to say that after a month with these workouts, I am seeing some real differences in my arms, legs, core, and endurance. So--there must be something to these new workouts, although I will be ready to take a little walk down memory lane and do some "older" Cathe workouts next week.

ReneeP: 10 minutes or 12 minutes per mile--the good thing is that you are jogging. I do not know how much variety you had in your workouts two years ago, but I am betting that you have much more now. Slow and steady wins the race--I think that is the best way to approach things.

Janie: Supercuts is not on the 30-day XTRAIN rotation. I did that workout back at the beginning of January but I have to admit that I do not remember the ab work from it. Might have to throw that one in this week as well. I know what you mean about your arm(s) feeling touchy. I feel like I want to take a week off from lifting to give my arms a rest. I have a bit of tendinitis in my left elbow that comes and goes--probably could use a little rest.

Well, I need to run to the post office to get some stamps. I'm probably one of the few people who still use the postal service.
Be back later.
Michelle

Last night I did XTrain standing legs.
Here is the latest portrait of my nephew (Rusty) and his fiance (Amber). It's called "Young Love".

ReneeP, I know you are improving. It takes time.

Michelle, Congratulations for your last of of XTrain rotation! And for seeing the hard work results! Good for you. I have XTrain Supercuts on Cathe's Feb. rotation. I'm going to train on being able to do the core work in that one. My O My! I love how it just flows. Looks a lot simpler, deceiving even, than it really is. Let me know how you like it when you do it this coming week. Sure hope your tendinitis will go away. Must be annoying, my tennis elbow is very annoying also. I also am using the postal service, a lot.

Take care ladies,

Janie

I have declared this next week an active recovery week. No weights--just fun step workouts and stretching/yoga. Then I will tackle supercuts. So today I did Imax 3 interval only premix. Yes, this is easier without the blasts but I still have to engage my brain to be sure I get the moves correct. I also did the first stretch from total body stretching. It is pretty cold here this weekend, so Ripken and I are on the "short walk" circuit. Just came in from a stroll around our Circle--the wind is just howling out of the north--Brrrrr cold. I am having a hot cup of tea with my dad's honey and some lemon in it to warm me up. Nothing like real "real honey" right from the beehive. What they call real honey in the store bought stuff sadly just is not.

Janie: Great job on Xtrain legs, standing legs, workout. Those leg workouts are tough. Another beautiful picture. You've been on quite a drawing bend of late. Do you find it relaxing?

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. Looking forward to the warmer spring days to come.
Michelle

Michelle, that sounds yummy ! Real honey n lemon! I want some!
Let us know what cardio u do. I love hearing about it because it makes mee want to do it lol

Janie that is great job on legs. And yes the pic is,very good! U should b proud of ur talents!

Yesterday was sc today is tabata and the next day bis n tris i will have a rest day on thursday i think. I know last thursday i had too move thjngs over because i had tues as my usual rest day then i forgot bible study on thurs now so i cant, fit in a wo so i had to fix it all around. So now im trying to prepare that tuees wont be a rest day it will be thursday. I love this series because it allows for moving around and doubling up if u have to.

Nice day at home today. It is a federal holiday, but I am doing some work--and will save the "holiday" for another day. I've been reading a draft paper that two of my junior analysts have written and for once, I have the time to slowly read a document and really think about what I am reading. I feel like I'm providing more useful feedback. Day 2 of active recovery: cardiosupersets step only premix. This is the bonus step segment on cardiosupersets with the warm-up and cool down. The step portion is about 21 minutes proper with 5 minutes of warm-up and 5 minutes of cool down--for a total of 31 minutes. Cathe has a little weight work in this workout but I kept my weights light (3 and 5 pound dbs). This was the first time that I've done this workout--good for an active recovery week.

The cold blast has subsided for today and it is much nicer outside. Ripken and I got in a longer walk this morning and also took a break this afternoon to go outside to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. The trees are starting to set their buds--only a matter of time before things start to bloom and I start to sneeze. Some of my neighbors' trees look like they want to have their blooms pop any day, but these little cold snaps are keeping mother nature in check for now.

Michelle

Today i ended up doiing tabata only one but added the step blast with the stepblast and one tabata it came in at only 29 minute including warm up and cooldown stretch. That would have been a great premix like two tabatas with step blast from all of them.
Anyway i also did burn sets bis n tri went up from 10 pounds to 12 poounds for all the bis exercises! It was so nice i got alot done in an hour.
Tomorrow is legs.
I made hot dogs n hamburgar for the family , the requested it lol i think they are tired of beans n corn bread or chilli or soups. But i tell u crock pots are my best friend in cold days.
It was nice today out it was a change from sunday! It actualy snowed here.

Yesterday was CrossFire Plus XTrain Bonus Abs Two. Modified of course. I'll post today's workout later.
We got some bad news. Joey's brother has had a stroke a couple of years ago and left him not being able to communicate very well. He went in for therapy, but remains hard for him to talk. On top of that he later found out he has cancer. He was treated with chemo and radiation, but it now has matasticide to his brain and has tumors there. He's expected to live only a few more weeks. He lives in Michigan so we are preparing to drive there in a couple of weeks or so. Just wanted you all to know that if you don't hear from me for a few days or so during that time, then that's why. Prayers for him to pass comfortably would be appreciated.

Michelle, So sorry you had to work on this holiday. Great job on day two of active recovery by doing cardiosupersets step only prem. Also gald you had nicer weather to take a walk with Ripken.

ReneeP, Great job on Tabata and the step blast and burn sets bis and going up a couple of pounds. Enjoy the snowy weather.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Janie
My prayers are with him and your DH and u. I pray u will be able to have the stregnth to help Joey to.
Man i hate that word!

Legs today..
Omg did u guys get email from Cathe? Shes filmimg again!

Tonight was 30/30. Love this Hiit workout. Thank you for the warm thoughts for Joey's brother Walt.

ReneeP, Great job on Legs today. You are really doing very well on your workouts. Bet it feels good.

Take care,

Janie

Janie thank you. I really feel this rotation is easier on the body. I think because doing my own rotations it was not structurdd as much as i thought and i made it harder thinking it would make me lose weight. But i think xtrain 90 day is well structured a kinda easy. Personaly i want one moore day or two of cardio. But i am doing as is right now maybe next time around ill insert some extra cardio days.
Today will be all out low impact and that os easy on my joints and pretty high intensity then the next day is rest day. See i feel they are well sequenced or my body thinks so. Lol i have lost anything yet but i still think im eating to much of something. I have a book im reading and it promtoes an elemination diet and gradialy build on foods. I may do that because i feel something is making me swell and thats not cool. I do not drink sodas reg or diet. I drink mostly water. I dont add salt so im sure i get salt in foods thats already there. Well see.

I am enjoying my active recovery week. Yesterday, I did yoga relax and today I did the IMAX3 interval only premix and total body stretching (1) again. Tomorrow most likely will be yoga again.

Janie: I am so sorry to hear about Joey's brother. It sounds like ya'll are doing the right thing to go visit. I hope he is a comfortable as he can be and will keep him in my prayers. Let us know when you depart for Michigan so we can pray for a safe journey for you. CrossFire plus XTRAIN core 2--WOW! If I remember correctly, CrossFire has a pretty good bonus core workout as well. And working on the holiday is my choice; plus I get to "bank" the day for later in the year. Not a bad deal.

ReneeP: yes, I got the Cathe email indicating that she is filming again. Good Lord--the woman is on a roll! You know I am a fan of Cathe's rotations--it sounds like you are starting to see some of the benefits of letting Cathe do the heavy lifting and come up with the rotations. And yes--you can always add more cardio.

Hi to Laura!
~michelle

Did AOLIH prem6. Not bad.

ReneeP and Laura, How ya doing?

Michelle
, Great job on yesterday's yoga relax and today's IMAX3 interval only premix and total body stretching. Wow. I'll let you know when we go as soon as we get word that the end is near. Really will appreciate the prayers for traveling.:)

Take care.

Janie

Hi Janie
I did AOLIH also today! Love that one but not the disk so i skipped it lol i did atempt the core but i cant only geet through four minutes! Gosh i have weak abs. Im determined to keep at it!

Tomorrow is a rest day, and i am glad lol. Im one the 9th week i think. I have a few more wo one this one.

Michelle i may take a couple days away from xtrain before finishing and do a couple step.. I love cardio and weights and imax2! You know ij know the high intensity wo that are short may be good for you so they say. But what about cardio enduance? It will be interesting to find out if it helped me or hurt men ask far ask endurance.
So what do u think finish the rotation? Or do a couple stepping workouts soo if cand push through strong one the xtrain rotation.

Will post later after my workout tonight.

Tomorrow is a rest day, and i am glad lol. Im one the 9th week i think. I have a few more wo one this one.

ReneeP, Are you having a good rest day today? Great job on Yesterday's AOLIH like I did. Me too on weak abs and also determined.

Take care,

Janie
