Getting Our Licks In!

Didn't do anything today. Don't know why.:( I've started another portrait of my nephew Abel.

Michelle, Even though it was wet outside, I have to commend you and Ripken walking anyways. Good for you. Also good for the next day walking and not so wet and sunshiny. Great job on Legs and Glutes standing work only prem. Good luck with all 3 IMAXes in one week. You are doing really well so far. Keep up the good work. Yes getting through a workout does make me feel really good. ;)

ReneeP, Glad you are continuing with the rotation even when you are getting bored. A sign of a person determined. Good for you.

Laura, I'm so sorry you are going through some tough times. Whatever you do Sweetie, don't give up and we are here for YOU. Prayers and hugs and so much good vibes sending your way. Love you.

ReneeP, You are having hubby problems too? I'm so sorry, and for you as well hugs, prayers and good vibes your way. Love ya.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Thanks Janie and Renee! Yup it's tough and everyday is a roller coaster it seems....I am hoping to get a workout in today! I will let ya'll know It is important to not give up on my goals and ambitions, but sometimes it's hardest during stressful times to make the best choices! It's hard enough to make healthy choices when things are good...ya know?

I am heading to a DMV hearing for Bo's DUI he got last October which is one of the many huge headaches and finical debacles we have been contending with... then I have a few clients and get the kids from school. I hope to have a chance to workout this afternoon.

I did pre-order the new series coming out....anyone else?

Wow--(((((HUGS))))) to Renee and Laura. I am sorry to hear that you all are having tough times in your marriages. Laura has been alluding to alot of stress in her life the past few months and I have been wondering if this was the issue but did not want to ask. Renee has also alluded to some issues and disagreements with her DH but I wasn't catching the drift very well, I suppose. I hope you both can overcome whatever obstacles you are facing and get to a more harmonious place in your relationships. Whatever, the case, know that both of you have a haven HERE to express yourself and receive support. Be good to yourselves and take care of you--in short--Ripken says try to get your licks in as much as possible. Puppy kisses and love to both of you.
Michelle

Thanks Michelle!! What I need the most support in here is keeping up with my workouts!;) Speaking of which I just completed the 80 minute Leg workout premix from Xtrain!! PHEW!!:p:eek::eek: It felt good! I am off to figure out dinner for kiddos and me and then we are going to watch Skyfall together!

Michelle yes thanks!
My thing is an ever going one or issue. I have to figure if its worth it or not. And obviously i do cause im still putting up with crap. But i will be fine.
Laura yaaaa good job on legs i know it makes it easier for me to watch a movie after i exrcised!
Sending hugs!
Oh i did aolih today i really enjoyed it.

Tonight was fooling around while watching TV on the spinning bike. Rode about 45 min. Sweaty as all get out. Whew!

Laura, I understand completely what stress can do. I was married to an alcoholic for 13+ years during my life and it was the most stressful time I have ever experienced. Left some horrible scars to deal with mentally for my child and myself. Not saying that is what you are going through, just know how awful it can be having problems in the marriage. Know that yes, you are feeling horrible and confused...Best way to keep going and help with that is to workout and eat nutritiously. While doing it, scream, cry, Hiit hard, work hard and get it out. In the end you will be able to make better choices. That's what is important. I'm so so sorry for what you are going through.:( We may not have all the right answers maybe not any answers, but we are here for you. Venting also helps. So, do it.:)
I also ordered The new workout DVD's.

Michelle, What you said to Laura and ReneeP is so right!

Laura
, Great job on 80 min leg workout prem from XTrain. Wow! You are doing it!

ReneeP, As I said to Laura, eat nutritionally and exercise hard. You will be able to think more clearly if you do.
Great job on AOLIH today and glad you enjoyed it.:)

Take care ladies,

Janie

Did 30/30 tonight. This was hard for some reason (must have needed it). Still one of my most favorites.

Take care,

Janie

Hi
I thought i posted yesterday?
I did HS yesterday.
I pulled a calf muscle or something. I thought it was a cramp but it sore today.

I think I missed posting yesterday. I finally got the original IMAX in--did that yesterday. NOW, I've got the IMAXes out of my system for a while....Today, I did Powerhour--it was more like powerhour and 15 minutes because I took extra time to stretch between each muscle group and drink water. One of Cathe's true classics.

So, it seems that life throws us some curve balls. DH and I have been blessed in our relationship. Not that we always agree and not that times have always been easy and not that we don't have stuff to deal with (mostly my DH's chronic health issues and Ripken's cancer at the moment). But for me, this is the "for better or worse, in sickness and in health" part of the deal. I guess that we are lucky that we have mellowed out with each other as we have aged. I wish it could be like that for everyone.

Michelle
I hear power hour is a great workout. I dont have that one.
Im sorry ur DH has health issues! I know that isnt easy by any means. Like i was saying it is an ongoing issue with me n my DH i wanted to quit so many times. But i know id be lost without him too. There is a way around it, we just have to keep talking and i can say he does talk more now then he used to. So there is hope here. It is funny when we were younger it was very hard to get him communicating. So i know what u mean about mellowing out as we get older.

Today i did ride only 36 minutes this time. My calf wasnt doing ggood today. Tomorrow is a rest day and im happy about that.
Have,a good day!

UPDATE: Did the Wedding Video tonight. Sure is easier than the workouts nowadays. LOL However it was longer and sweated more because of it.

Will come back later for an update of exercises. I wanted to post this first:

It's called "Abel", and he is my nephew.

Rhythmic Step this morning. Still one of my all time favorites; classic Cathe step--fun, fun, fun. So I'm doing workouts from the RS and Powerhour dvds. Based on the copyright dates (and the packaging), I think Cathe must have released these two dvds together. Powerhour is another classic Cathe. My legs feel like they are in a vise-grip today--an effect that powerhour always has on my legs. My triceps are feeling "good" today too. I see that Cathe posted a March rotation, but you know me, once I decide on a set of workouts, I have to stick wiht my plan. So, once I get through this week, I will switch to the March rotation that Cathe just posted.

Janie: another great picture. I think I like the black and white ones better than the color. I am wondering if you have heard from your son, Dan, of late? Or are things still "quiet" on that front? I do hope with time that that situation will correct itself.

ReneeP: I have RIDE but have not tried it yet. Might need to break that dvd open and check it out.

Hope everyone has a great week. Laura--positive vibes to you to keep up with your workouts.
Michelle

Janie i like the older ones for that reason to. I love to move along time with less jumping. Lol

Michelle im thinking of march rotation too. I saw several fav in there but i want to use some xtrains.. Plus i may insert a les mils compact to. Lol. I dont have powerhour i dont think

Did Low Impact Circuit in it's entirety of 75 min. I love this workout. Was beet red when done. LOL

Michelle, Great job on RS this morning. I certainly love this workout and hopefully will do it in this March rotation when I get a surge of energy. Have fun with RS and PH dvd's. They are so much fun! Haven't heard from Dan and truly don't expect to. Even though we don't know what exactly happened, I don't expect to hear from him until he is alone. I think of him every single day and hope he is happy.

ReneeP, You should do the March rotation. So far it's really fun and doable. But doing XTrain is just as good. Enjoy what ever you decide.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Did two workouts yesterday. At home, in the morning, I did the upper body workout and abs from BodyMax. At work, in the evening, I did Hardstrikes timesaver plus core. Today, I am at home working, watching it snow, getting snow off the hottub cover so it doesn't cave in (like it did several winters ago when we didn't get the snow off) and taking care of Ripken who has a touch of diarrhea. Ick, but at least I am home to help DH keep an eye on the pup. I called the neighbor teenager and left a message that he has a cash paying job shovelling snow today. Hopefully he and his brother will come shovel later today and probably again tomorrow. I'm all about paying neighbor kids to shovel snow.

Janie: sounds like you are doing the March rotation. I will be starting it on Friday. Looks like a nice mix of older and newer workouts.

ReneeP: wonder if you had the headache going yesterday because of the weather. My junior analyst was complaining about a headache yesterday and she knew it was due to the weather. Hope you are feeling better today.

Michelle

Just raining here now, and raining, and raining. Did the step aerobics portion of Body Max today. There is something about this workout--it takes me about 15 minutes before my legs get warm and loosened up, then I'm good to go. The warmup itself is 8 minutes and you would think that would be enough but for some reason on this one, my legs take longer to get into the routine. Looking forward to a stretch or yoga tomorrow.

One of our neighbor's boys shoveled our sidewalks and driveway earlier this afternoon. What a slushy mess. Glad I didn't have to go out to do it. Now the wind is blowing big time and the rain continues as I noted above. Hope things dry out by Sunday--supposed to be in the 60s on Sunday and I'd like things to be at least melted and semidry. I have delusions of getting in my garden and pulling up the last of last year's weeds on Sunday but I have a feeling that the ground will be too wet.

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday.
Michelle

Tonight was only 25 min. of Legs and Glutes. Felt like I was pulling on a leg muscle too much, so decided to keep it safe and stopped. Tomorrow is another day. I truly don't want to be injured. Plus I'm doing better on my weight lifting for my right arm. Instead of only 3 pounds doing bicep exercises, now it is 5 pounds. Took awhile to get there and looking forward to lifting heavier still. Someone told my slow and steady wins the race. Or something like that. I believe it.

ReneeP, So sorry about your headache. I'm glad you are finally going to see a doctor about them.

Michelle, Wow! Great job on upper body workout and abs from BM. And at work HS timesaver plus core. I love watching snow, just hate driving in it. One year we didn't take the snow off our green house and it caved in. Couldn't find anything to replace it. Sad:(, glad we have two. So sorry Ripken isn't feeling well. Please keep us updated. You are going to love this rotation. We can finally dust off those oldies but goodies and enjoy them.

Michelle, Rain I guess is better than snow, but what a mess it is when it's slush. Be careful. Great job on step aerobics portion of BM today. You know, (because of you) I might have some gumption after my workout tomorrow to do a Cathe's Relax Yoga. Hope so. So nice to have neighbor boys. Hope you will have better weather too. I would love 60 degree weather over here. Share please. ;)

Take care,

Janie
